We are able to transfer data from CO-PA to standard SOP, But we tried for transfer to Flexible Planning SOP by creating Mass Processing Job setting as below configuration path.
    Production -> Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) ->Functions -> Mass Processing -> Transfer LIS / CO-PA
After executing Job MC8G - Schedule, we checked in Tcode - MC8I u2013 Check, Status: Processed with errors, And also data are not displayed in Tcode : MC95 for Material & active version.
We couldnu2019t find log for error status.
What is the method / Procedure for transfer data to Flexible Planning SOP?
    Please get back to me.

    Hi,
Transferring SOP  to Demand Management :
    Use:
You can pass on data planned in Flexible Planning or Standard SOP to Demand Management.
Demand Management determines the requirement dates and requirement quantities for important assemblies and specifies the strategies for planning and producing/procuring finished products. The result of Demand Management is the demand program. The demand program differentiates planned independent requirements and customer independent requirements. It gives the information needed in MPS and MRP for planning at SKU level. The placing of sales orders eventually consumes planned requirements and triggers updating to the Sales Information System. This actual data can then be used as input for future sales planning. For more information, see PP Demand Management.
    Prerequisites:
The system distributes the data to the appropriate plants in Demand Management on the basis of the quotas you set in Customizing (in Define proportional distribution across plants). You can also make these settings in the Flexible Planning or Standard SOP menu by choosing Settings ® Plant distribution. Plant distribution works as follows:
If a plant or plants can be found for the material in the planning hierarchy, data is transferred to Demand Management for these plants.
If no plant can be found in the planning hierarchy, the system checks to see which plants have been maintained for the material in the material master record. It then checks to see whether distribution quotas have been maintained for the material. If quotas have been maintained, the transfer to Demand Management is based on these quotas.
If no distribution quotas are found for the material, the system checks to see whether you have set generic distribution quotas; that is, distribution quotas that apply to all materials. If so, the transfer to Demand Management is based on these quotas. If generic quotas exist for some but not all plants maintained in the material master record, the system assumes that the distribution quotas of plants without generic quotas are 0.
If no distribution quotas are found at allu2014neither material-specific nor generic onesu2014, the system splits the data equally among all the plants in the material master record.
    See also:
    Plant Distribution Quotas
    Features
Independent requirements are created in Demand Management for all materials whose data has been transferred. These independent requirements are created in the base unit of measure of the material. The base unit of measure of the material is not necessarily the same as the base unit of measure of the information structure or the unit in which you planned the material. See also Switching Units in the Planning Table.
You can transfer SOP data to Demand Management in the following ways:
    Transferring Online, Synchronously and Automatically:
You set the following information structure parameters in Customizing for Sales & Operations Planning (in Set parameters of info structures and key figures).
Field name of the key figure whose values are to be transferred
Planning version from which the data is to be transferred
Demand version to which the data is to be transferred
The system creates or overwrites independent requirements in Demand Management every time you save this planning version of the information structure in Flexible Planning.
    Transferring Online, Asynchronously and Manually
You choose between the following options:
Transfer of the planning data of all members of a single-level product group from standard SOP (a single-level product group is a product group whose members are materials)
Transfer of the planning data created for one material from standard SOP
Transfer of key figure values from an information structure
You make the following general settings:
The material or product group whose data you want to be transferred
The plant of this material or product group
The planning version of the information structure in which the data is stored
The dates for which you want the data to be transferred
Whether you want to check what the data looks like as independent requirements before you transfer it
    The requirements type
If you do not make an entry, the system sets the requirements type via the MRP group which is maintained in the material master record.
The version of the demand program to which you want the data to be transferred
Whether this version of the demand program is active and therefore relevant to MRP
Depending on the option you chose in step 1, you set one of the following strategies.
Transferring Planning Data from a Single-Level Product Group:
You transfer the sales plans of the materials direct.
You transfer the sales plans of the materials as proportions of their owner product group (using the proportional factors defined in the product group master record).
You transfer the production plans of the materials direct.
You transfer the production plans of the materials as proportions of their owner product group (using the proportional factors defined in the product group master record).
Transferring Planning Data of One Material from Standard SOP:
You transfer the sales plan of the material direct
You transfer the sales plan of the material as a proportion of the product group of which it is a member (using the proportional factor defined in the product group master record)
You transfer the production plan of the material direct
You transfer the production plan of the material as a proportion of the product group of which it is a member (using the proportional factor defined in the product group master record)
Transferring Key Figure Data of One Material from Flexible Planning
The information structure from which you want the key figure data to be transferred
The key figure whose values you want to be transferred
This key figure must be a quantity key figure.

  • Reg SOP and flexible planning

    Dear all,
Please explain what is the difference between SOP and flexible planning, similarly in an industry when do use Longterm planning, when we will use SOP and when we use Flexible planning, when we should use MRP planning
    Please advice
    regards
    venkat

    Dear,
    Standard SOP:-
Standard SOP, you work with one organizational unit, the product group hierarchy, and plan predefined key figures in a planning table with a set layout. All plans in Standard SOP are based on the standard information structure S076.
If there are more regions for an organization, planning can not be done at different region or different sales organization level using Standard SOP.
    Flexible Planning:-
Flexible Planning, on the other hand, can be based on any information structure of your choice, either a self-defined information structure or a standard information structure.
If there are more regions for an organization, planning can be done at different region or different sales organization level using Flexible planning

  • The delivery date for the PR needs to consider planning Calender Periods

    Hi Friends,
Please help me in solving in my scenario given below:
The Planning calender periods are from Monday through Thursday(No Friday and weekends). When there is a Purchase Requisition (PR) planned date on Monday and the GR processing time is one day. The delivery date should be on the before Thursday (Becasue there is no period on Friday).
But, the delivery date is being created with the before Friday, which shouldn't happen.(Requirement is that Delivery date shouldn't consider that friday, hence, the delivery date needs to be on Thursday).
NOTE: The lot size settings are Lot sizing Procedure : P(Period lot sizing procedure), Lot-size indicator: K (Period lot size as in Planning Calender), Scheduling : 1 (Period Start = Delivery date).
Thanks for helping me in advance,
    Surendra Chakka

    Hi Santosh,
Thanks for your Questions. Below are the explainations:
    1. Can you expalin how your system is behaving at the moment?
    A. Presently the GR Processing time is 1 day for a material in Plant. So, if the user wants to produce on Wednesday (Planned date in PR, provided by the MRP run), then the delivery should be on Tuesday (Because GR processing time is 1 day). In  the same way, he dont wants the delivery to be on Friday. I mean, if he wants to produce on Monday,  he wants the delivery to be on Thursday.
Only Friday, he don't wants to make the Delivery.(The delivery date should not show Friday in PR's).
    2. Pls explain your original MRP view and planning calendor setting...
    A. For solving of the above issue, we changed the Lot size to copy of "PK" - Period lot size acc to planniong calendar. Then we maintained the Planning calendar, in which the periods are for every Monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday. Expecting, the delivery  should be excluded for friday, the friday in the planning calendar is not given as a period.
The scheduling paramter in the Lotsize is tried with both the options (period start = Deliery date and period end = Delivery date).
Later removed "PD" in MRP type and tried with "R1" Time phase req. But, the precondition for this is to maintain "Forecast req". This is also done. But, then, the system for this material is not responding to the MRP run. It is asking to run the forecast model. We ar not using SOP.
    3. The results thst you get with current setting?
    A. For the planned date in PR of Monday, the delivery date in PR is on the day before monday. i.e., Friday (Saturday and sundays are holidays).
    4. Expected results...?
    A. For the planned date in PR of Monday, the delivery date in PR should be Thursday (the day before monday production).
Hope, i am clear in my explaination. Please revert back, if you need any more information.
    Thanks and Regards
    Surendra Chakka

  • Help on SOP flexible case

    Hi gurus,
I want to make flexible planning SOP that cover information data such as outstanding sales order and outstanding PrO in planning table. Are there any key figure that relevant for this requirement?? If not, can I make my own key figures?? From what table and field i can get this information  to be updated to info structures??
    Thanks for your input.

    Dear,
These are available in two different applications, hence you need to create a field catalog and start building up your own application then infrastructure, then hierachy and planning.
    Here you can do that
    SPRO>Logistics - General>Logistics Information System (LIS)>Data Basis>Field Catalogs-->Maintain Self-Defined Field Catalogs
    SPRO>Logistics - General>Logistics Information System (LIS)>Data Basis>Applications-->Maintain Self-Defined Applications
    SPRO>Logistics - General>Logistics Information System (LIS)>Data Basis>Applications-->Maintain Self-Defined Applications
    SPRO>Logistics - General>Logistics Information System (LIS)>Data Basis>Information Structures-->Maintain Self-Defined Information Structures

  • Transfer to demand management - Flexible Planning

    Hi everyone,
I was wondering whether someone has carried out the next process in the following scenario. I am working with flexible planning in SOP (level-by-level planning and dual level planning type, since I am working with product groups).
Now I would like to transfer to demand management some data stored in a ratio associated to one field (disaggregated value) in my planning table.
I tried to do it using the online mode but I just could transfer aggregated level values. I also tried to do it with batch processing (by creating a trannfer profile, then an activity, then a job and finally scheduling and executing the job) but there was an error message that looks like "No dual planning requirements allowed".
I would be very grateful if someone could give some useful information about how to solve my problem. I guess that someone in this forum has faced this challenge formerly.
Thanks in advance and best regards.
    Ben.

    Hi,
Yes, dual level was specified in the MC8A.
    Thanks.

  • PLANNING CALENDER IN LOT SIZE

    Hi
What is the function of Planning Calender in Lot Sizing procedure in SNP.

    Hi
You can define the planning calendar to define the periodicity of lot size.
For example in our case we want to SNP to create requirement only in alternate month based on lot size.
So we create planning calendar which consist only alternate month and attach to lot size.
Now when we execute the SNP planning, it will create supply element only in alternate month.
I hope this will give insight of it. Please let us know , if it helps you.
    Thanks

  • MRP Areas in Flexible Planning?

    Hi,
we are in the process of evaluating different planning tools for our long term planning. And I guess we have two options: APO-DP and Flexible Planning in ECC. We are a non manufacturing (government) organisation and want to try to forecast/plan future demand and requirements. We are getting our demands from maintenance orders and cost center consumption. Reqs are in the form of components on maintenance orders and STO's between storage locations in different MRP areas.
Is it possible to do flexible planning and taking mrp areas into account. Will it be possible to forecast future demands on Plant and MRP area level. Mind we are not selling anything through sales order, so we are not actively using SD org structure.
    Best regards,
    Kenneth

    Dear,
APO-DP  Vs  Flexible Planning in ECC.  Yes  APO advance but ECC is more user friendly.
The master data is managed in R/3 and transferred to APO using CIF. An issue storage location is maintained in the R/3 production version. This issue storage location is assigned to an MRP area in R/3. This MRP area is contained in the integration model (transaction CFM1). The MRP area is therefore transferred to APO. The APO plan (PPM or PDS) is created in APO in the MRP area. Using this plan, a planned order is created in the MRP area location in APO.
If you want the R/3 behavior, you must not assign the component to the model in the MRP area location. The system will then automatically switch to the plant location, that is, the system then uses the plant location as the issuing location of the component in MRP area.
Hope it will solve your problem. Also refer the OSS  Note 628739 - APO 3.x Release restrictions for MRP areas
