Sorry an error has occured while installing Adobe AIR
I am using Window XP and login as administrator. I tried to install the Adobe AIR many times and still receive the same error. Can you please help me to install the Adobe AIR?
Sorry, an error has occured
An error occured while installing Adobe AIR. Installaion may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator.
Thanks for your help but still I can't install Adobe AIR on my computer yet. I have downloaded the latest Adobe AIR again and installed again. I still have the same error below.
I tried to find the log file in this directory: Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\AIR\logs but I do not find any log file for Adobe AIR.
I searched for this log file in all directories in my computer and still couldn't find any Adobe log. Please advise what should I do next?

"An error has occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator" I have tried disabling all antivirus and turning off firewall. I have tried downloading Fix IT. I have tried "Run as Administrator" Nothing has worked. Please help! I need this to run software for a class and am running out of time!
JulietI guess my problems are worse than I thought. I can't install the Air zapper tool or enable install logging. I keep getting errors on those as well.

"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR"
I am running Vista Home Premium SP1, and I keep getting the
following error while trying to reinstall Air. After the install, I
get a dialog box telling me Air installed successfully. When I
click OK, I get a second box telling me: "An error occurred while
installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your
administrator. Please contact
your administrator."
This error has repeated itself time after time. Air had
installed fine a while back, but programs using it began having
problems with uprgrades, so I uninstalled them and uninstalled Air,
then tried to reinstall Air.
Here's the .airinstall.log file from the last install
attempt:

ThanksI am also getting an error. I first noticed it when trying to

Can't Install. An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR
I can't install Adobe AIR. I'm getting the infamous error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I'm the administrator of the computer.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
I've tried the right-click-run-as-administrator solution and I'm getting the same error.
I've read Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows and none of the solutions worked.
I'm installing the latest AIR version (I've tried older versions too)
I've tried Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It and AIR doesn't appear on the list of programs.
Here is my install log:

Error has occurred while installing
I am trying to download lion on my iMac and I get a message "an error has occurred" and now won't download.
What do I need to do?Did the error occur in the App Store while downloading or did it occur while you were actually doing the install (after the download)?
If you need to redownload the installer from the app store, you can hold down the "option" key while you click on "purchases" at the top of the window. If you did this right, you should be able to click "install" next to OS X Lion and ask it to redownload the installer.
If your installer died in the middle of installing the OS, there may be a different issue. -
When I try to install Adobe AIR version 14.0 on my Mac OS X Version 10.9.4 I receive the following message.

The log covers many attempts. The latest was on 29th September.
Following a suggestion in another forum thread, I checked the file permissions for folder 'c:\users\martin\appdata\local\temp'. As far as I can see, they give full control to the SYSTEM, administrator and sole user (martin) accounts. There are no options with 'Deny' against them.
I have run Microsoft FixIt. I also tried the Windows Installer Cleanup utility (msicuu2.exe) but I got 'Access Denied' with no further details.
Any suggestions?I have managed to edit the Registry so as to get the Windows Installer (MSIExec) to write a verbose (detailed) log. From this, and some web forums, I found that the problem has been caused by a Microsoft Windows security update, KB2918614. This was applied on my PC on 14 August but I think it was released on 12 August. My Windows version is Vista and I don't know if this update or a similar has been applied to other Windows versions.
For more information see wix-users - SECREPAIR: CryptAcquireContext: Could not create the default key container.
I went into Windows Update on my Control Panel and found how to uninstall update KB2918614. When I had done this, followed by a Restart, I was able to install AIR and the software that uses it. -
Anyone know how to get this installed & past error message ?

Actually not; what is your operating system? Are you installing as an Administrator user?

Hello everyone. I am getting the above message when trying to install Adobe AIR. Here is more information on the issue:
1) I used to have it installed fine, but when I uninstalled it something must have broken because I cannot now reinstall.
2) I am running Windows 7.
Here is the output of the .airinstall.log file that is created when I try to install:
"Performing runtime install
UI SWF load is complete

Here are things I have done to try to fix the problem, to no avail:
1) Uninstalled
2) Used Windows Installer Cleanup
3) Used a registry cleaner to remove all traces of Adobe AIR
4) Tried installing in safe mode
5) Installed with administrator privileges
6) Scoured the internet for advice
I think the problem may lie in a missing DLL or something, as when I uninstalled Adobe AIR last time it was a little messy and I think I may have removed a necessary DLL. I can't imagine that this would really be a problem, though.
If anyone has advice, it would be VERY much appreciated.Hi,
I'm sorry you've run into this problem. It appears you've attempted many of the approaches I would have taken, but I have a few more that you might want to try out.
The following messages may appear during installation or uninstallation of the AIR runtime:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your Administrator. Please contact your administrator."
"An error occurred while uninstalling Adobe AIR. Uninstallation may not be allowed by your Administrator. Please contact your administrator."
To troubleshoot these issues, try performing the the following steps in this order:
The Logitech Video driver (LVPrcSrv.exe) is known to cause issues with the installation of the runtime. If the application is loaded, end the process by selecting it from the Windows Task Manager.
Verify that your windows has the latest latest Windows Service Packs and updates are installed on the system. These include updates for Windows Installer.
Windows Installer may be damaged or unregistered. The following Microsoft TechNote articles describe how to address:
Microsoft Knowledge Base: The Windows Installer Service Could Not Be Accessed" error message when you install a program in Windows XP
Microsoft Knowledge Base: Error message when you try to add or remove a program on a computer that is running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003: 'The Windows Installer service could not be accessed'
Microsoft Knowledge Base: 'The Windows Installer service could not be accessed' error message when you try to install Office
Microsoft for Windows Installer update/hotfix. There was an issue with Microsoft Windows Installer that affected AIR installations.http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/details.aspx?familyid=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F 9F4&displaylang=en
Hopefully this helps. Please let us know how it works out.
