    chessyy,
    Sorry that you had this problem.
    The software coupons are pretty much useless unless Apple says they are worth something for a very specific reason. In your case they will be worthless.
    You do not tell us much about your iMac, but as you have 512-768M of RAM, 10-15% free Hard Drive space, and a 733-1GHz processor I would recommend that you Upgrade to Tiger. Be sure to read the iLife '06 System Requirements and Notes for your own edification.
    Tiger can be purchased at AppleRescue for $79.00.
    You can install it over iLife '06 using an Archive and Install. Software update will bring you to the latest version of Tiger.
    I will mention this last, but it really should be your first step...backup your important files.

  • Sorry, posted in wrong forum

    I upgraded to ipod version 1.2.2, now after ejecting the ipod, I have no music listing on the ipod. Setting/About shows my capacity 27.8 gb and available 4.1 gb but still no listings in Music, Playlist, artist, albums or songs. When I reconnect the ipod, everything is there... Any ideas?

  • Sorry, posted a msg in error

    I was unaware when I asked about ripping songs from DVD's that it was illegal.
    I read the post from "drumsandmore" and found this out right after I posted. Why are songs on DVD's protected but not songs on CD's?

    As far as I can understand the situation, the answer should be 'yes': the array is protected until you leave the critical section.
    But could I suggest an alternative, perhaps simpler approach?
    If you configure a thread safe queue of 44100 elements which discards old elements, with T1 that fills it on top, T2 can freely read from the queue without disturbing T1, having available the most recent set of data in any moment.

  • Writing a background .... (Posted under wrong topic, moved to CLDC/MIDP)

    I am trying to write a background J2ME application which listens on a socket and writes the received data on to a file. I want this application to do both these things silently. I tried push registry but it interrupts the current application when data arrives on the registered socket. Is there any other way to do this in J2ME?
    EDIT: Sorry posted under the wrong topic. Moving it ot CLDC and MIDP topic.

    MIDP 2.0 does not support background application, you could expect this in MIDP 3.0 devices..

  • Help: cant get values from a resultset

    i have a class that contains all my MySQL statement and i am trying to use the results found from one of my select statements to pass on into another class which displays the results in a gui form. Here is my query:
    public void profile(String user)
            try
                 Class.forName(driver);
                 Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection( url,db_user, db_pass);
                 String username, name, email, dob, bio, gender, homepage, number;
                 //find username and select all details
                 String find = "SELECT Username, Full_name, Email, dob, Biography, Gender, Homepage, Contact_number FROM users WHERE Username = ? ";
                 PreparedStatement ps1 = con.prepareStatement(find);
                 ps1.setString(1, user);
                ResultSet rs = ps1.executeQuery();
                while(rs.next())
                    //retreive information from the server
                    username = rs.getString(1);
                    name  = rs.getString(2);
                    email  = rs.getString(3);
                    dob = rs.getString(4);
                    bio = rs.getString(5);
                    gender = rs.getString(6);
                    homepage = rs.getString(7);
                    number = rs.getString(8);
                    User_Profile profile = new User_Profile(username, name, email, dob, bio, gender, homepage, number);
                    JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, username + bio + email, null, JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
                  con.close();
            catch( Exception e )
                     e.printStackTrace();
                     JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "error," + e.getMessage(), null, JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
        }As you can see, i am trying to pass on the variables username, name, etc to a new instance of my user_profile class but it doesnt for some reason. i dont get any comple errors so thats ok. i created messege dialog box from within the while statement above to see if a value is stored, and yes their is a value stored in my variables
    below is the user profile class which shows my constructor that suppose to get the values from the query class in this code entered above       User_Profile profile = new User_Profile(username, name, email, dob, bio, gender, homepage, number);
        protected String username;
        protected String FullName;
        protected String Email;
        protected String DOB;
        protected String Biography;
        protected String Gender;
        protected String Homepage;
        protected String Con_Number;
        protected String crnt_user;
    public User_Profile(String user, String name, String email, String dob,
                                String bio, String gender, String homepage, String number)
            initComponents();
            addWindowListener( this );
            //get values from sql query and store them here.
            this.username = user;
            this.FullName = name;
            this.Email = email;
            this.DOB = dob;
            this.Biography = bio;
            this.Gender = gender;
            this.Homepage = homepage;
            this.Con_Number = number;
         }the code below is used to display one of the values received from the query class, in this case returns null..
    txt_name.setText(username)

    Does the user String match the database String
    exactly?
    Some databases are case sensative.Sorry posted before done.
    Also, ensure you do not have trailing spaces in one or both. I remember Oracle had this problem a few years ago using the Type 4 driver but not through ODBC.

    Hello All,
    I am working on etext templates for generating EFT payments.
    When the payments are below 100 then the output is fine. But when it is crossing 100 payments then it is not producing any output.
    This is a standard rtf which I have modified and added some xpath conditions in the OutboundPayment table. I think because of xpath conditions the xml structure is modified internally and the xml generated is very huge.
    When I have used the original rtf without adding any conditions the output is produced for any number of payments.
    Can any one provide some help on this.

    Hi,
    Sorry posted in HTML section and reposted here as thought
    this was more appropriate place for query.
    Not having the budget to pay for a website to be developed I
    set up my own using some helpful templates and tutorials
    (www.actionresearch.ltd.uk). Only problem is that none of the
    images or backgrounds are displaying and am not sure what is wrong.
    All images are saved to an "Image" file in the public directory and
    as far as I can tell the codes are right (see attached code). Can
    anyone shed any light?

  • Error: Component failed to run due to a Object Package scheduling failure

    Hi,
    BusinessObjects XI R2 SP 5, FP 5.1
    I am trying to schedule a group of reports (crystal reports) via a package where the output destination is to an email. At the event of execution of the scheduled time for the package; the package fails with the error: Component failed to run due to a Object Package scheduling failure. (Note: When scheduled individually it is successful and it was copied to the package from its original location, so there is no mistake in parameters or ODBC connections)
    When we go to the history and within the instance, we see that some of the reports have the status as success and some are failed with the same error message. Even though some of the reports are made to fail at the event of 'NO DATA'; what I do not understand is that how come some of the other reports (which contains data and which works when trying to run manually or scheduled individually) are failing.
    I would understand something is wrong when the entire package fails which is not the case here as say of 50 reports, 5 are successful and the rest fails with the same error.

    Sorry posted on the wrong section...

  • How do I change the data used by a Waveform graph dependent upon which tab window is active?

    Hi,
    First I want to say thank you in advanced!!  Let me describe the situation a little bit.  My front panel VI (see attachment) has a tab control and on each tab window I have an intensity chart with a free-drag cursor.  Below the tab control window I am trying to display either the row or the column of data where the cursor is located, I can do this for each intensity chart individually.  I am trying to clean the block diagram up a little bit and instead of using 4 Waveform Graphs, I want to use only one, can the data that is displayed in the wave form graph is associated with which page is active on the Tab Control.  Can this be done?  And how can I do it?
    Thank you again,

    Simply wire the tab terminal to a case structure that switches the data going to the graph terminal
    (sorry,posting by phone, cannot look at your code...)
    LabVIEW Champion . Do more with less code and in less time .
