Recently like a day ago, I was in a skype call with a couple of friends. Then I was in there for about 1 minute after that it kicked me out of the call and kicked me out of my account saying Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details,Please check your skype name and password,then try again. when I tried to get in. I need help. I have let Skype support remote access my computer to remove skype and to reinstall it for me, Still not working. Help please. If someone knows a fix please let me know. -FroggyRecks

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

I have Avast! antivirus. I created another account to keep in touch with my friends and this one worked when I tried to enter the password and the login. Need help! I have a Windows 7 32 bits.     same problem here. I've been using Skype with my Skype name for like more than 10 years. 
    Now, 5 minutes ago, it just disconnected and I cannot login with that Skype name anymore. Nor in Skype, nor on the web page.  The message i get is : 
    Sorry, we didn’t recognize your sign-in details. Please check your Skype Name and password, then try again.
    I have also tried another accounts and they work normally. My Skype name seems like just dissapeared. 
    Please solve this problem !

    Hello! I have a microsoft account. To be honest, not sure whether I had a skype account too with this microsoft account. When I try to sign in to skype desktop, I get the error message "Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details". I can sign in fairly using microsoft account on the www.skype.com website but not on desktop client. I am using windows xp sp3. Also when I try to recover password or username for skype, it only gives one of the microsoft account and prompt me to reset microsoft password if I try to reset password. Please help me out. I have tried reinstalling skype and reinstalling. I can sign in other skype accounts here. Those are not  microsoft account but skype accounts.

    your Microsoft account (MSA) works as a your Skype account. Or rather: Your MSA is your Skype account So just make sure you click "Microsoft account" on the blue Skype sign in page and then enter your email and MSA password to sign in to Skype.
    When you want to recover the password for this MSA you indeed need to take the recovery flow for your MSA and not a Skype one.

  • Skype didn't recognize your sign in details (Macbook Air) help please

    My Skype is not working since a week now. When i tried to log on to Skype from my Macbook Air (Mid 2011) it says "Skype didn't recognize your sign in details please check your Skype name and password then try again". I have done the following steps but issue still persist
    Operating System: Mevericks 10.9.4
    Step No:1
    I deleted the shared.xml file from library
    Reinstalled Mevericks then formatted my Harddrive and downgraded to Mountain lion X
    Issue is still there and I am hopeless because I have contacted the Skype support and searched the google for help, read different blogs but I haven't found any Solution.
    Is there any one who can help me please?

    I tried to install almost every version of Skype from 2.8 to lattes one 6.11.59 non of them working for this I uninstall antivures and updated my operating system to lattes one OS X 10.9 where as I can log in to Skype website and one deffrent system with same account details infect I putting the post with long to my skype account.     It took you months to check and reply my post
    Where as I had deleted the Skype from my system but after your reply I instal the latest Skype and run Skype First Aid and attached is the report that it genrated hopfully you can fix this by this.

    Skype 6.3 is more than 1½ years old version. All Skype versions older than 6.14 are now retired and can no longer be used. The currently latest Skype version is 6.21. You need to update your Skype.

    Few days ago I was kicked of my skype. Trying to log in again produced the same result: we do not recognize your sign in details. Meanwhile I created a new account, but lost important contacts. The problem is that I can not access registered email account anylonger in order to restore sign in details. I remember the  registered email.

    I am not able to login to skype from my windows laptop. It wont accept any ID, not just mine. However i can access my account from other devices. Its only my desktop skype that has stopped accepting accounts. Following is the error i get whenever I or somebody tries to login: "Sorry, we didn’t recognize your sign-in details.     I tried re-installing but all invain. Please suggest a soluion.

    iPhoto: iPhoto v9.5.1 (902.17)
    I choose a photo, select Share, select Email, enter an email address to send to and click Send - then I get this error: "The email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination."
    In iPhoto preferences I have "Email photos using" set to "iPhoto"; I have an account added for Gmail (outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com; Port: 587; User Name and Password are correct for my gmail account, Use SSL is checked - basically everything is default for when I chose to add a gmail account and I'm positive my user name and password are entered correctly). I do not have 2-step verification enable for my gmail account (I've been searching for a solution online and noticed others mentioned this - this does not apply to my situation).
    Please help! What is going on? I just want to send an email from iPhoto using my gmail account.

    Thanks again for responding, MrHoffman; my responses to your questions are below in italics:

    Yes, I have tested the Gmail account via the Apple Mail.app - sending and receiving work just fine.
    Have you confirmed that the Gmail user and password work with the Gmail web interface?
    Yes, I am sure it is the correct username and password; I am able to access the Gmail account via the Gmail web interface.
    Are you aware of and familiar with both sets of credentials present within each account within Mail.app?  In particular, have you gotten to the configuration displays the SMTP server settings?  (Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) > select Edit SMTP Server List > select the SMTP server account > edit the SMTP server settings.)
    I'm not sure what you mean by both sets of credentials, but yes, in the Mail.app I have set the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to Gmail (and used the Edit SMTP server list... option to set the smtp server to use default ports, use SSL, and use "Password" authentication (again with my correct username and password for the Gmail account). I also have the Account Information in Mail.app set for the incoming mail server (maybe that's what you mean by both). Either way, I believe having these settings for incoming mail server and outgoing mail server are allowing me to send and receive email for this Gmail account through Mail.app.
    I've also had some success by launching Keychain Access.app and finding all passwords associated with the account — specifically and only the Gmail account, in this case — and removing them from your keychain.  This does mean you'll have to re-add those passwords — using Mail.app and no other applications — and see if things start working.
    I just tried this - I launched Keychain Access.app and removed all entries associated with Gmail. I opened Mail.app, re-entered my password info, and sent a test email to another account - this worked. I opened iPhoto.app, re-entered my password via the Preferences, selected a photo, selected share, selected email, entered a to: address and clicked send - this didn't work (same error message as before (The email server didn't recognize your username/password combination).

    I'm have a problem using the Share command when using my iPhoto software. After selecting a photo and entering the email addresses I press Send and receive the message. "The email server didn’t recognize your username/password combination". I've gone into my iPhone Account Settings and deleted the original account and then re-entered the information into a new account with negative results. I have been using the Share feature for more than a year and have had no problems up until two days ago.
    I use MS Outlook and have no problem sending/receiving/forwarding regular emails. Thank you for any help you can afford me.

    You mean, you entered the Account setting again in iPhoto's Preferences?
    Then try, if deleting your account password in your Keychain will help.
    Quit your mail program. Launch Keychain Access from the "Applications > Utilities"  folder and select "Password" in the "Categories" brick. Delete the password for your email account. (right click the email address to bring up the contextual menu and select "delete").
