Sort by date on all projects

Hello all,
I just switched to Aperture, so forgive me if I'm missing something obvious.
I prefer to sort all projects, events, everything by date, DESCENDING rather than the default ascending.  Is there some way to set a preference for all projects or new imports?  Is there some way to change the sorting on all of my projects at once?  I just imported my iPhoto library, and now I have hundreds of projects to go through and change.  Daunting, and a waste of time.
Never understood why people would want to sort ascending anyway.  You have to open a project and then scroll down to the most recent stuff every time....
Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan

Hi,
I'm afraid that the sort functionality is not provided, you may download the result in excel, and sort by PO date
in excel file.
Thanks and regards,

  • All Projects view - Sort Order

    Is there a way of changing the sort order of the All Projects view - either to name order, or custom rather than the way it seems at the moment - time of project creation from oldest to newest?
    Jason

    I am also looking for a way to do this. When you have 300 projects, it's annoying to always have to scroll down to the bottom every time you click into projects view. I wonder if there is a hidden preference or something like that. Can anybody help?

  • Read all projects within Project Online using web part Sharepoint

    Hello all. Can we get data of all projects from Project Online in Sharepoint Site? So far as I understand we can get data of list like this:
    SPWeb web = SPContext.Current.Web;
    SPList issueList = web.GetList("https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/demo/Sample Project 1/Lists/Issues/AllItems.aspx");
    Do you have any some good tutorial? I am new on web part Sharepoint.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Yes you can, I would use the ProjectData API if you are not bothered about security (accessing all projects etc.) or if you want the data returned to be accessed controlled use the ProjectServer API. Examples below:
    ODATA API (ProjectData):
    <PWA site URL>/_api/ProjectData/Projects
    JSOM REST API (ProjectServer):
    <PWA site url>/_api/ProjectServer/Projects
    Regarding guides, just search for SharePoint apps / App part / client web part. Some simple examples of using  the APIs mentioned in JavaScript on the Project sites can be seen below:

  • 2.1 sort order on 'all projects'

    I really like the 'all projects' view, it looks like iPhoto 'events' view, which was sorted, as it should be, in alphabetical order. I love Aperture, however I've been waiting for an alphabetical sort to the 'all projects' view so that I can get rid of (or rather stop using) iPhoto. They seem to have added sort with what seems to only have two options, by date, which is horrible if, like me you have downloaded pictures or old digital photos that contain wonky incorrect information from the wild west days of digital photography.
    Any ideas on how to get things to display in 'all projects' like they do in iPhoto 'events'??
    BTW, my projects are all titled in the way they should display. events that I want by date are titled as such, other pictures are grouped in projects such as 'Shorty' (my dog).

    Sorry Grom, no, there is no UI for the kind of sort you are seeking.

  • No Way Of Sorting "All Projects" view

    Hi,
    I've noticed something. When you're in All Projects view in Aperture 2, with the tiles similar to the Events view in iPhoto '08, there appears to be NO way of sorting the Projects. In iPhoto, you can sort the Events by name, or date taken, ascending or descending and even manually arrange them. But in Aperture, the Pro app, there are absolutely no options. Your Projects are sorted by date, oldest at the top, newest at the bottom.
    Am I missing something or have Apple really given their Pro app fewer options than iPhoto?

    It's funny when "consumer" features you take for granted (in iPhoto) aren't available in the pro apps (Aperture). There are quite a few things actually that iPhoto seems to do better than Aperture. Fortunately, both apps are made by the same company, so Aperture can freely copy features from iPhoto whenever it wants.

    Hi there,
    have you installed the NanoKontrol plug-in for Garageband/Logic from Korg?
    If yes,here's how to uninstall it:
    Run LP 9.0.2
    *Logic Pro/Express*
    From the Logic pro/Express menu, select “Logic Pro/Express” - “Preferences” - “Control
    Surfaces” - “Setup...” , and open the control surfaces setup window. Click and select
    nanoKONTROL icon, push [delete] key on keyboard to delete nanoKONTROL
    information.
    After deleting the nanoKONTROL information, quit Logic Pro/Express and delete the
    following file and folder.

    I loaded my ipad photos from camera and all the pictures sorted by date.  I later sync my ipad with my computer and the photos were all reorganized into IMPRT folders an out of date sequence.  Any idea how to put the photos back into date files other than reloading all of them from camera?

    What version of iPhoto?
    Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
    A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing.  Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

  • ALL PHOTOS album not sorting by date???

    For some reason the ALL PHOTOS album is not sorting itself by date and time of when the photo was taken. They appear very random!
    I don't know why this is happening. The VIDEOS album is sorting properly by date and time of when it was taken. The BURSTS album is sorting fine too.
    It would be nice if there was an option to sort the ALL PHOTOS album by date. I know you can select the PHOTOS tab at the top and see photos sorted by date and time and place but I primarily use the ALL PHOTOS album and it just looks messy when it's not sorted properly. This was my go to in iPhoto and it was always sorted and images were easy to find.
    Anyone know of any work arounds?
    Thanks in advance
    j

    The FAVOURITES and PANOS albums also sort by date and time too. So all the albums sort by time and day except the ALL PHOTOS album! Seems very strange! What's even odder is that the date range listed at the top of the ALL PHOTOS album would suggest that they are sorted by date!
    Apple I hope you SORT this out soon

  • How to update all projects data (checkout-edit-save&publish-checkin)?

    Hi every one,
    we have more that 400 projects in pwa and it will take too much time to update status date for all of them one by one mounthly
    so I'm looking for a solution (probably VBA) for opening all projects and set the status date to a specified value and save & publish then check-in all of them.
    is there any way to get it done?
    thanks for any help

    You can build a user form in VBA
    I made one that has 12 text boxes with project names. It is used to open and close and republish projects to current date as status date but you could just as easily set that date to something specific.
    Dim controlplanname
    If TextBox1.TextLength <> 0 Then
        controlplanname = "<>\" & Trim(TextBox1.Text)
        FileOpenEx Name:=controlplanname, ReadOnly:=False
        Macro Name:="AfterAcceptControlPlanUpdates_Close"
    End If
    Sub abAfterAcceptControlPlanUpdates_Close()
    ' this is a first attempt at a one button macro
    ' after countless control plans are opened from the web
        'DisplayAlerts = False
        Alerts False
            Call WriteProjectDeadlineToFinalMilestone
            LevelingClear All:=True
            UpdateProject All:=True, UpdateDate:=Now, Action:=2
            Application.RepublishAssignments False, pjPublishScopeAll, False, True, True, ""
            fnWait (2)
            UpdateProjectToWeb EmbedProjectFile:=True
            'MailSendProjectMail MessageType:="TeamPublishAll", Subject:="Publish New and Changed Assignments", Body:="Below are the latest schedule changes. Contact your project manager if there are any problems with the changes.",
    ShowDialog:=False, PublishScope:=1
        Alerts True
        fnWait (2)
       'DisplayAlerts = True
        FileClose pjSave
    End Sub
    So you could build a looping construct that finds out the status date of projects and if it is below a certain threshold then call the Sub.
    It is important to also be aware that this sub will overwrite and not process the updates the resources have submitted.
    My use case is accept all updates from PWA, All those projects open themselves. Then I apply the Sub. Then I have a list of Projects that have not been modified recently. And call the Sub separately on those via the custom form, and just let it run.

  • When I try to sync my photos on iphone using itunes, some events are incomplete on my iphone and they are all randomly placed instead of being sorted by date like on my iphoto. Help?

    Using the latest Iphoto and Iphone5 software. I try to sync all my photos on my iphone and for some reasons, when they appear on my iphone, some events (when i go to events from mac) are incomplete (photos missing in some events) and randomly presented as opposed to being sorted by date like they are on my iphoto on my mac. This also happens on trying to sync my ipad... Solution anyone?

    Hey there vtec99,
    It sounds like you are syncing photos from iPhoto on your computer but not all the photos you set to sync are actually coming over, and they are disorganized. Based on what you are describing, I would recommend deleting the iPod Photo cache which stores picture information that iTunes uses to sync photos from your iPhoto library. The following article will help you do that:
    iTunes: Understanding the iPod Photo Cache folder
    When you use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, iTunes creates a folder called iPod Photo Cache. The iPod Photo Cache stores photos that are optimized for display on your device. The location of this folder depends on the syncing options you select. In iTunes, if you change the selection in the Sync Photos From menu, a new iPod Photo Cache folder will be created (and the previous folder will remain).
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Project Manager sorting by date instead of alphabetically

    I just upgraded from RH7 to RH8 and my topics in the Project Manager are now sorted by date last updated instead of alphabetically. I've been poking around and doing searches but not finding how to change the sort order in the Project Manager.
    Any ideas?

    Hi there
    Have you tried clicking the sort icon?

  • I just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and it duplicated virtually every track in my music library. I need a quick way to delete the duplicates. Sorting by "Date Added" will not help because they are all listed as added on 12/12/2011.

    Library Duplicated
    I just updated to the latest version of iTunes and it duplicated virtually every track in my library. I need a quick way to delete the duplicates. Sorting by "Date Added" will not work, because every track is listed as added on 12/12/2011 even though this happened today 12/19/2011.

    I've written a script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates. See this  thread for background.

  • Report Problem. Sort by Date?

    Hello all.
    I simply need to column sort by date, the problem is that the date needs a format mask.
    So I obviously do the following:
    SELECT to_char(SYSDATE, 'DD/MM/YYYY') FROM dual
    The problem is, it uses it as a CHAR.
    If I do
    SELECT to_date(to_char(SYSDATE, 'DD/MM/YYYY'),'DD/MM/YYYY') FROM dual
    It removes the format mask, any ideas?
    Sam

    Hi Sam,
    as Mike suggested, go to the "Column Attributes" of your report column and set the property "Number / Date Format" to DD/MM/YYYY
    In your SQL statement you just select the date column without any type conversion.
    What does it do?
    For the sorting, the Oracle database can do the sorting with the original date type. So you will get the correct ordering and after APEX has read the value it will apply the defined format mask and display it the way you like it. So APEX will do the TO_CHAR for you.

  • ALL PROJECTS - CHANGE ORDER

    when viewing at the library with the "All Projects" function, the sort order is by date, showing the oldest first. is there any hidden function that changes this order?
    also, the "Home" and "End" buttons work in projects, folders and albums, however not in the "skimm through" All Projects view.
    having over 100k of photos and thousands of projects, this view is pretty but quite useless unless i can jump to the last projects quickly, or change the sort criteria.

    Yeah, this is stupid isn't it? In All Photos view you have the option of sorting by:
    Image Date
    Rating
    Version Name
    File Name
    Keywords
    File Size
    Orientation
    Pixel Size
    And you can do all of that either Ascending or Descending. However, switch over to All Projects, and you have the option of sorting by, errr, nothing, in neither Ascending nor Descending. This doesn't make any sense, and makes the All Projects view fairly useless.
    What if you want your most recent Projects showing up first, at the top of the grid? Not possible. What if you have lots of Projects with similar names, and you want them all bunched together, sorted by name? Again, not possible.
    I really hope Apple implement this feature soon, in Aperture 2, rather than having to wait for version 3 to come out.
