Sort by hd type

Hi
I've a load of films on a hard drive which are in 1080p, as space gets tight i'd like to re-encode them to 720p, is there anyway to sort in itunes which are 1080p as opposed to 720p already?
Cheers
Rob

If these are purchases from the iTunes Store you cannot re-encode them.  Sometimes HD and SD versions are available.

  • How do I sort by file type?

    I was wondering how I can sort by file type?  I have a bunch of .moi and .mod files in a directory and want yo delete the .moi files.  If I could sort by type, then it would just be a matter of highlighting those and deleting. I tried sorting by kind, but since they are seen as Unix Executable files by the OS, it sorts them but not by .moi or .mod.  Thanks in advance for your help.
    MAC OS 10.6.8

    I don't believe you can sort by extension.  However, what you can do is to type .moi into the search field at the top of the Finder window where you see those files.  That will initially show all .moi files on your entire computer.  At the top of the displayed search results will the the text "Search:" followed by three choices.  "This Mac" should be selected, but the name of the folder you were looking in will be the second choice...  click that one.  That will cause the search results to contain only files from that folder, containing the text ".moi", which should be the ones you're interested in deleting.

  • Import - sort by "media type" not working?

    When importing media from my iphone I'd like to ONLY import jpgs, not the mov files. In searching, the sort option in the import dialog on "media type" should work so I can easily just select new jpg files, however this does nothing for me. Is this supposed to work? I'm running OSX 10.7.2 and LR 3.6.
    Any ideas? Does this sort function work for anyone?
    Thanks!

    Ok.  Never mind what I said about selecting the sort order before selecting the folder.
    I just checked again on my computer and (LR3) was able to sort by media type, by date, by name etc. from a folder on my desktop drives.
    It even worked when importing from a media card.  This is weird.
    Although everything seems to work for me now however I do remember having encountered the same issue before.
    There might be a bug.  It would be nice to have someone from Adobe or LR to explain the limitations if any of this sort function.
    Good Luck Marty.

  • Search or sort by file type?

    has anybody figured out how to search/sort by file type (.psd, .cr2, Etc.)?
    I've been looking, but I can't find it.

    Bring up the search HUD, use the "+" drop down menu to add an "other metadata" criteria choose file name and type in the extension that you are looking for.

  • Custom sort by file type?

    Hello. I have been using PSE6 for a while but have recently started the trial of Aperture.
    There is a lot to like in Aperture, but I have been unable to get around the problem of sorting my RAW and JPEG files.
    I shoot in RAW+ and have been importing using PSE's importer. That renames the image files and places them on my hard disk. Each image exists as both a .dng and .jpg.
    I have imported a few of these sets of files into Aperture to evaluate it, but can not work out how to do the PSE equivalent of filtering by file type. In PSE I can select a filter to show just the JPEGs or just the RAW. That way I don't have to scan through duplicate versions of every image. Worse still, Aperture doesn't show the file extensions in the filenames that sit under the thumbnails, so both file types for a particular image appear with the same name.
    Can I do the same in Aperture? I saw the 'Custom' option in the sort drop down menu and thought that might do it, but it is greyed out. I can't find anything useful about that option in the manual.
    Reading other posts in this forum I realise that if I had imported from the cards using Aperture I would have only seen the .dng files unless I ctrl-clicked and that would be fine for me. But I have over a year's worth of files already imported with PSE and need a solution to deal with those.
    Thanks!
    P.S. I just worked out that I could type '.dng' into the search box on the film strip and that displays only those files. That gets the result I need, but not as elegantly as having a predefined or custom criterion I can select.

    I too have found that a bit frustrating that there isn't the sort by "kind". I'm used to using Lightroom and/or Adobe Bridge. I like you, have the dng and finished jpg or tiff's next to each other. I have found a work around that works most of the time to sort so it is easy to see which is which.
    Instead of looking at the photos as a thumbnail, look at them in the list view and sort by pixel or file size.
    My dng's are always way larger so they are all listed together. I then can rate the originals. Then I sort them by File Name and the stars from the originals show up.

  • Sorting for  storage type in LM12

    LM12 - change sort display so that alpha storage types with bin info displayed before numeric storage type and bin info.
    The standard LM12 shows sort order for storage type as  numeric storage types first then alpha storage types.
    But User is requesting that alpha storage types are displayed first along with relevant info in alpha order. Standard SAP displays numeric storage type first and then alpha storage types.
    Plz can any one help us to give solution for above  issue.

    Hi VIk,
    SAP help of the customizing node (sPRO > LE > WM > Strategies > Activate Storage type Search):
    If you want the system to search through the entire warehouse number for stock pick, enter "***" (stands for strignent FIFO) as the storage type. The system then will search the entire warehouse for the oldest stock of the material. The entry "+ + +" means that the system branches to the user exit to the stringest FIFO process (MWMT0013).

    DATA: <lt_result>  TYPE ANY TABLE.
    A table name is passed and its structure is assigned to it:
      CALL FUNCTION 'TREX_BUILD_COMP_DESCR'

        IMPORTING
          e_comp_descr = lt_comp_descr[].

      lt_ref  = lt_meta->create_itab( ) .
      ls_ref = lt_meta->create_structure( ).
      ASSIGN lt_ref->* TO <lt_result>.
      ASSIGN ls_ref->* TO <ls_result>.
    After calling some function, i've the result table <lt_result> populated.
    Now, I want to sort it on a field of table.
    for example, i assiged to <lt_result>  structure of table ZCUST.
    ZCUST has a field guid_abc.
    I want to sort <lt_result> by guid_abc.
    How can i do it?
    Thanks,

    Put in print statements at each step so you can see exactly what's happening--varaibles' values, code paths being followed, etc.

  • Sorting Different Video Types?

    Hey there, I've been using an assortment of conversion programs trying to get them all in an iPod Video format for my iPod Video. I've found a few that work to convert them to the .mp4 format and the videos I converted are music videos, but they all sync under the "Movies" section. How can I sort them on my iPod so that they don't all show up under the "Movies" section? Is there something I need to include on the tags for it to go to "Music Video"? Thankz in advance

    Right click on one of the videos in iTunes and select 'Get Info'. Click the 'Options' tab, and select either 'Movie' or 'Music Video' in the Video Kind box. This will allow you to categorize the videos.
    Unfortunately, you cannot designate a video as a 'TV Show' as this is solely used by the Music Store downloads. You can however create a video playlist (in the same way as normal playlists) to sort them further.

  • Trying to sort library by file type

    Hey all, I'm trying to sort by file type so it can quickly arrange all the TIFF files together in one easy to see group. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong here, because it keeps just slightly rearranging my images, but not putting all TIFF together and all RAW together. They are still mixed, and I have to select by hand, which negates the purpose of sorting by file type for me.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you, that worked. I guess out of sake of discussion though, is there not a way to just apply a view filter while in the library module to show only files of a certain type? Like in Bridge, how you can set a view filter for like... Anything. Am I missing something here? This seems like it should work too, because on the bottom of the screen there is a fly down menu that lets you select things like file type, extension, etc... Yet it doesn't seem to actually work as far as narrowing down what you are looking at in your window.

  • LINQ sorting on List Object - Various Object Type

    I try to sort a List<Object> where the Object are different classes but all share the same Property Name for instance.
    I got a Base Class where Class A and Class B inherit from the Base Class.
    So during the Linq query I cannot specify with object type this is.
    Problem here "from ?????Entry_Global?????? list in Entries"
    Thanks for helping.
    ////Entries is a List<Object> which consist of class object as following\\\\\
    public abstract class EntryBase<T>
    private string _Name;
    public string Name
    get { return this._Name; }
    set { this.SetProperty(ref this._Name, value); }
    public class Entry_Global : EntryBase<Entry_Global>
    public class Entry_CC : EntryBase<Entry_CC>
    private string _url; //Web url
    public string Url
    get { return this._url; }
    set { this.SetProperty(ref this._url, value.Contains("http") ? value : "http://" + value); }
    public List<Object> SortBy()
    IEnumerable<KeyedList<string, object>> groupedEntryList = null;
    //The proble reside in the fact that list is not only one type
    //so when comes in the orderby "Name" it doesn't know Name
    //or any other properties which are all common to all those class
    //It does not want to convert Entry_CC or Entry_Global to EntryBase
    groupedEntryList =
    from ?????Entry_Global?????? list in Entries
    orderby list.Name
    orderby list.CategoryRef.Name
    group list by list.CategoryRef.Name into listByGroup
    select new KeyedList<string, object>(listByGroup);
    return groupedEntryList.ToList<object>();

    Entry_Global and Entry_CC don't share the same base class since EntryBase<Entry_Global> and EntryBase<Entry_CC> are two totally different types so you cannot cast the objects in the List<object> to a common base class in this case.
    You could cast from object to dynamic though:
    public List<Object> SortBy()
    List<object> objects = new List<object>();
    objects.Add(new Entry_Global { Name = "K" });
    objects.Add(new Entry_CC { Name = "A" });
    objects.Add(new Entry_Global { Name = "I" });
    objects.Add(new Entry_CC { Name = "C" });
    var sortedObjectsByName = (from o in objects
    let t = (dynamic)o
    orderby t.Name
    select o).ToList();
    return sortedObjectsByName;
    The dynamic keyword makes a type bypass static type checking at compile-time:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd264736.aspx. This basically means that a dynamic type is considered to have any property of any name at compile time. Of course you will get an exception at runtime if the type doesn't have a Name property but
    providied that all objects in the List<T> to be sorted are of type EntryBase<T> you will be safe as long as the EntryBase<T> type defines the Name property that you sort by.

  • Open SD orders and partner type?

    Hi,
    I need to extract 'open sd orders' and 'partner type'  i.e all partner types  and not only  just SP or  SH
    The transaction  VA05 does no allow  all partner functions - and I need to sort by all types
    is there another way?
    If I want to use SQVI . . . what tables can I join?
    Thanks,
    SM

    IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Sales --> Lists --> Set Updating of Partner Index.  Here, maintain the following values.
    Transaction Group      Partner Function
              0                             SP
              0                             SH
              0                             PY
              0                             BP
    Now you can generate VA05 based on any partner functions.
    thanks
