Sort items different?

Is there a way to have Front Row sort items differently? Instead of TV Shows having the newest Episode first I would like it on the bottom and the oldest at the top. Didn't see a way to change this.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find this either. I first noticed this when I added an Apple TV, and since Front Row now has the look and feel of the Apple TV interface, I wasn't too suprised to see the lack of sorting, although I was really hoping to see it carried forward.
I also prefer to see the newest at the bottom AND retain the Season structure. I am submitting it as feedback for both Max OS X (there is no separate Front Row option) as well as for Apple TV and would encourage anyone else who misses the ability to sort to report their feedback as well.

  • How to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension

Does anyone know of a way to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension and still make drilling work correctly? We have two hierarchies in our item dimension; one called category and the other origin. Simplified, it looks like this:
    CATEGORY
    Hardware (100)
    ..PCs (100.100)
    ....PC 1
    ....PC 2
    ....PC 3
    ..Monitors (100.200)

    Software (200)
    ..Big (200.100)
    ....ERP package
    ....CRM package
    ..Small (200.200)
    ....Solitaire
    ....Mine Sweeper
    ORIGIN

    ....ERP package
    ..Site A2 (10.20)

We have numeric codes at each level above item which I represents the sort order (the number in parentheses at each level), and the items themselves should be sorted according to item number. I have implemented this (level code/item number) as an attribute in AWM making this the default sort order. However, as item is the lowest level in each hierarchy, I have only been able to list the items under the correct level in one hierarchy. As soon as I drill using the other hierarchy, the levels above item are sorted correctly, but the items appear at very odd places...
The AWM documentation states that if default order is not selected on any attribute, hierarchies are sorted in the order they are created. Is there a way to control this order?
Any input will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
thank you for your answer. Yes, now I also find the class CL_SALV_WD_MULTI_CELL_EDITOR which could be used to set different UIE in one cell. But it is quite limited, just the following UIE could be used
    - LinkToAction
    - LinkToURL
    - FileDownload
    - Button
    - ToggleButton

  • In V_V2 the role of Sort Item by date of creation and Sort by delivery date of earliest schedule line for the Sales Orders when Material is out of Stock.

    Hi All,
    Good Morning,
I am working on once Incident for Re-Scheduling Program V_V2 where the user has requested us to change the criteria for determining the priority of Sales Document based on Sort Item by date of creation. Currently they are using the Sort by delivery date of earliest schedule line in the Variant.
I would like to know the role these both options play in the Re-Scheduling program V_V2. I would like to know the impact of both of them and the kind of testing I need to perform to study the behaviour of Sales Orders especially when the material is out of stock?
Please explain with help of examples.
    Thanks
    Farhan.

This is not that simple that an example would explain how this transaction works but I'll give you some examples.
Material A has SO1 and SO2 of 10KG each, stock is 20KG so both quantities are confirmed at today. A stock recount determines a reduction to 5KG. This program would change confirmed quantity of SO1 to 5KG and SO2 to 0KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
Material B has SO1 and SO2 with 10KG each but no quantity confirmed, stock is 0KG. A prodution adds 15KG to stock. The program would change confirmed quantities of SO1 to 10KG and SO2 to 5KG if:
Creation date of SO1 is older then SO2 in strategy 1
1st delivery date of SO1 is smaller then SO2 in strategy 2
I'm assuming a specific configuration, there are many other scenarios possible.
    regards,
    Edgar

  • In the info bar at the bottom of the iphoto window, why is the number of items different from the total

In the info bar at the bottom of the iphoto screen, why is the number of items different from the total?

What version of iPhoto and system are you running? What mode are you in, i.e. Events, Photos?
If it's the Photos mode the number at the bottom will represent the number of photos displayed in that mode or the number of photos selected in that mode. The number will match the number next to the photos mode only when there are no photos in that mode that are selected.
If you click on the Events icon and then back on the photos icon the numbers should match.

  • Is it possible to sort items by kind but always show folders first?

    Hi,
In column view, is it possible to sort items by kind but always show folders first? There's a hack explained here: http://www.bece.org/Home/tabid/36/EntryID/5/Default.aspx but by using this hack, in list view, the kind for folders is displayed as ~Folder instead of Folder.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Efficient datastructure to sort on different fields

    Hi,
I have to write one program where there are different fields like item number, cost, sales qty, sales price, gross margin etc.
I need to rank the items depending upon its sold quantity ,sold price & gross margin.
Moreover there will be power ranking which depends upon average of other 3 rankings.
Which datasture will be suitable for this ? Should I use one class Item with all these fields & take array of objects of this class & sort the array
    1. first depending upon qty & add unit ranking to class
    2. sort the array depending upon sold price & add sell ranking
    3. sort the array depending upon gross margin & add gross margin ranking .
    4. Then take average of this & accordingly add power ranking.
Or will it be efficient to write four queries to get data from database sorted by each condition respectively & add the whole data to hashtable.
Please help me in this. I am bit concerned because all my reports are of this kind. For all reports I am using hashtable with one key & corrosponding vector? Is it efficient or should I use class & keep objects of this class in hashtable?
    Regards,
    Veena

    Hi All,
Thanks a lot for your response. I am writing a class & keeping objects of these in an array, sorting it four times & accordingly adding ranking to the class. Objects can be more than 1000 but still instead of hitting database 4 times to get data ordered by 4 criterias I am finding it efficient to sort the arrays. Do you agree with me?
I can not do it in the database using stored procedure because user can choose items of any vendorsat a time e.g. he can choose 2 vendors' items &nedd to see ranking only among these 2 vendors.
    Thanks,
    Veena
    Thanks a lot.

  • Sorting items in a region with more than one column

I have an item region that is set up to have 2 columns. When I sort by title, the items are re-sorted in alphabetical order from left to right and then down. This is not very intuitive. Is there a way to have it sort from top to bottom and then left to right so that they will be in order as you read down a single column? Right now my work around is to create two regions without banners side by side and then manually put the items in order. Thanks.

    hi,
unfortunately you cannot change the sort order in a way that the items are first sorted down on the first column and then continued in second column.

    christian

  • Line Sort order differs from Shopping Cart to PO

    All :
A number of shopping carts are raised on the back of a quotation received from vendors.
Where these quotes require a multi line Purchase Order, we enter the data in the same sequence as they appear on the quotation.
The Purchase Order should also therefore reflect the same sequence. For some reason this does not happen.
    EG shopping cart shows items:
    1st Line 30 Green Widgets
    2nd Line 50 Blue Widgets
    3rd Line 900 Red Widgets
    BUT PO shows:
    1st Line 50 Blue Widgets
    2nd Line 30 Green Widgets
    3rd Line 900 Red Widgets
Is there some setting I am missing somewhere? Or is there some sort of arcane sorting going on in the background that I don't know about.
    Thanks for your time guys
    Adrian

  • Itunes sort order different in playlist

I'm having a weird sort order problem... in one playlist - I have the column "album" sorted. The songs names (under "name") for one album sort just fine - the names are "ep 1", "ep 2", "ep 3", etc. and appear in that order.
However, if I click that album column to sort by "album by artist" - the song order changes. now they are seemingly random (although I imagine there has to be a reason behind the order).
The sort order of those songs is even different *in another playlist* - ie, they are not even in the same "random" order they show in when I sort them by "album by artist" in the other playlist above. They're in a "different random" order.
    Any ideas?
    Message was edited by: AppleJason

That's helpful for my issues with iPhone, which are yet another variation on what I'm talking about - but in going through the article, I couldn't find anything that pointed to why my "name" column is not sorting properly for the same artist album.
Selecting all the songs in that album, get info --> shows the artist, album artist and album names (both album artist and artist are exactly the same) - so my point is there are not some kind hidden character problem - or they wouldn't match and therefore the fields would be blank.
If the "album by artist" is the primary sort, what does itunes use for the secondary column to sort? This should help me answer the problem.... it sure doesn't look like "name" column is used as 2nd... because it's not sorted!

  • Sort order differs on iPod

I've just replaced my G2 iPod with a 60GB 5G iPod. The song sort order on the 'standard' playlists like 'Songs" (as opposed to the playlists I create myself) have a different sort order from how they're displayed in iTunes. For example, I sort 'Recently Added' by date with the most recent at the top, on the iPod they are sorted alphabetically even though the iPod playlist in Tunes has them sorted by date. has anyone else experienced this or is there a setting for altering the sort order on the iPod that I haven't discovered?
    TIA

I think that is basic sorting for the iPod. For example if you have an album of songs but no track number noted for each song they will show up in the album section but be listed alphabetically where if they have track #'s then they will be listed in tract # order.
I hope this answers your question.

  • Sort items in Table type

    Hi All,
I have an object type defined as:
create or replace type test_object as object
    item varchar2(50)
    , countofitems number(8,0)
And I have a table type defined on this object as:
    create or replace table test_object_table is table of test_object;
I am populating the object into them as:
    test_object.item := <somename from table>;
    test_object.countofitems := <count value>;
    test_object_table.EXTEND(1);
    test_object_table(test_object_table) := test_object;
The above logic is performed inside a loop statement which has a select query in it. The loop's select query gets the count of each item - one per loop.
Is there anyway, after my loop ends and table type is populated, to sort the data inside in DESC order of countofitems?
    Thanks,
    Chaitanya

    Hi,
yes my data comes from a cursor but that cursor selects counts for one item type at a time only---->
meaning, my cursor is inside another loop statement which provides one value at a time to be used in the WHERE clause.
so essentially, for every loop i would get the counts for 1 item type. each time i am inserting the data into my table type.
if my cursor fetched counts for all items at once, then i could have sorted it , but that is not the case here.
Is there any way I can sort the data once the table type is populated??

  • Answers: Multiple sorts for different rsum (multiple ABC-Analysis in one)

    Hello
I want to do an ABC-Analysis i.e. on my ProducLines. I am doing it by using something like:
    CASE WHEN
    RSUM(Sales / SUM(Sales by) * 100) < 75 then 'A'
    WHEN ... THEN 'B'
    ELSE 'C'
    END
This works fine so far but I need to take the column "Sales" into my request and order the request on that. (to get the "big ones" at the beginning)
Details on this can be found here: http://blog.trivadis.com/blogs/andreasnobbmann/archive/2009/09/18/abc-analysis-in-obiee.aspx
    My Problem now:
I would like to do this ABC-Analysis Sales and SalesPreviousMonth and SalesYTD all three in one and the same request.
I did not find out how I can do different "order by" for my three different Formula-columns. I tried with UNION ALL but did not really get it until now (only the final result can be sorted, but I would need sort column in the subrequests to get correct A,B,C-Values).
Did anyone already have a similar requirement? How did you solve it?
    Thanks for any hints.
