Sort not working in KM iview

Hi,
I have a KM iview in which I am displaying some documents in a list along with some properties. The problem is that when I click on any of the Property Column Headers, sorting is not happening. I checked my Collection Renderer. It has the property Sort Enabled selected.
I am using a custom collection renderer which is a copy of the standard CollectionListMenuRenderer.
Is there any other setting that need to be done to enable sorting?

Hi,
This might be due to the JRE version of the browser. We faced such issue and the update of JRE version in the browser helps to get the pop-up of F4 help. Check in the internet broswser Tools -> Internet Option -> Advanced. Check whether the JRE applet is checked or not. it has to be checked. if it is checked and even if you dont get the F4 help, upgrade the JRE version.

Sorting not working correctly for date field in alv report

Hi All,
My report displays many rows also containing date type fields of bldat,budat .
When I sort the report selecting field of type bldat budat the sorting is not correct for the year.
Ex:
Invoice doc dat
01-25-2011
01-21-2011
02-02-2011
10-25-2010
11-20-2010
If I use ascending then it is sorted as :
Invoice doc dat
01-21-2011
01-25-2011
02-02-2011
10-20-2010
10-25-2010
Why the sorting is not working correct for year.(2010 records should have been first).
The field wa_tab-bldat is of type char10.
It is populated as wa_tab-bldat = bsak-bldat.
Kindly suggest what can be done.

Refer to type datum...it will work

Content Search Web Part - Sorting not working

I recently tried the new Content Search Web Part for which i see tremendous potential. I wanted to use it to show a certain type of pages and that was not a problem (i added a url as the source where i got the pages from). I mapped the correct fields so
that it showed image, title and modified date. I then tried the advanced mode and told it to sort by the modified date, however any way I tried to apply this sort it just would not save my settings and reverted back to the default sorting. Is there anything
else you need to do to get Sorting to work?

When you search for a crawled property, you may find two crawled properties
that represent the same content. For example, a site column of type Text named
Color will during crawl discover two crawled properties: ows_Color and
ows_q_TEXT_Color. Crawled properties that begin with either ows_r<four
letter code>, ows_q<four letter code>, or ows_taxId are automatically
created crawled properties. When you select a crawled property to map to a
refinable managed property, make sure that you don't map the automatically
created crawled property. Instead, always map the crawled property that begins
with ows_.
So clearly (as clearly as the doc makes it) I need to use ows_ArticleStartDate. I've made sure that crawled property is the one I'm using, but I'm still not seeing any effect.
As for the sorting model, that only seems to be relevant for Rank sorting, right?

Hyperlink not working in KM Iview

Hi All,
I have created a html file in KM which has hyperlinks to other html in the same folder.
When i click the preview of html in km folder the hyper link works fine.
But when i create an KM document ivew and attach the html link there, the hyperlink in the attached html does not work ?
Please can anyone guide me on this.... any properties of ivew i need to set ?
why is it that the hyperlink works in km preview and not when embeded in an Iview.

Hi Sanjyothi,
Follow the below steps:
1) To create Internal Link, first we need to upload some documents into the KM repository.
2) Uploading Documents: Go to Content Management -> Explorer, on Detailed Navigation area.
Click on Folder on the Object Based Navigational Area, New -> Upload.
3) Upload some documents in the same folder which we have created i.e. Test, the file can be a text file, pdf or any other word document. Incase you have problem uploading the file then please go through this wiki link.

4) For your understanding the documents which you have uploaded are saved in database in the form of BLOB or CLOB.
5) Now again click on Folder on the Object Based Navigational Area, New -> Link
6) Select the document for which you want to create a Link.
7) Now create an iview, through which we can view the document.
8) Go to Content Administration -> Portal Content
9) To avoid confusion it is recommended to create a Folder in which you can create the iView.
10) Select the Folder you have created.
11) Right Click on the Folder choose New -> iView.
12) In the displayed iView wizard, choose iView template (This is the SourceType in the RoadMap)
13) Click next, in the template selection wizard choose KM Document iView and click next
14) In the general properties provide iView name, id, and description and click Next button
15) In the next step click Open Object for Editing and click ok button
16) In the properties view, edit the path so that the iView which we are creating points to the document which we have uploaded.
For Example if there is a document which is uploaded in Documents folder. Give the path of the document. E.g.: /documents/< folder name>/<file_name>
17) Save the changes and preview the iView which displays the file contents.

Table Sorter Not working in EP 7.01

I think there may be issues in versions.
Previous server was ep 7.00 and now when code is moved to ep 7.01 sp05 patch 1, the table sort doesnt seems to work. even though I checked all the codes are there in the new system.

Sorting not working inside xml format

Ok I know my title is not clear, but I have a table that is
called with a spry if, inside another spry data set, and I have
been having quite a bit of trouble with it. The sorting and even
odd would not work....(though they work on the same table with the
same source if it is not inserted within the spry data set) I
worked on it quite a while yesterday (got it updated to 1.6 )and
finally got the even/odd to work using the 'other' class from one
of your examples....that is after trying every even odd combination
I could think of....but I still can't get it to sort.

I am using DW CS3 and it is fairly easy to insert a sortable
table, but somehow, with this table being inside another spry data,
it loses its sortability.
you see in my code I am using
spry:sort="dsAgentForms::formname" and I know this is not usual,
the usual would be without the dsAgentForms:: part, but this was
just the last thing I tried before posting. I thought that maybe
because all the rest of the table needed the extra designation,
that maybe the sorting did as well....

I got it........it was the syntax of the spry:sort it needed
the below instead of what I had
spry:sort="dsAgentForms formnum">
it was also the same error for the even odd, they now work
with similar syntax

anything I want to try to work if I have a working example

Content search webpart sorting not working

Using the Content Search webpart I have created a query that rollsup all the subsites of a particular path, which is working well. However, I have tried sorting using he sort by term SPSiteURL, unfortunatly that is not working. Does anyone have any idea
what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for the reply. I find that hard to accept becuase I can get the same webpart to sort like I want it to at our SharePoint Online sites, granted the sorting feature is in a diferent location within the edit webpart dialog but still basically the same
feature. Also, I would think that the SPSiteURL sort term does and should include the entire URL, which is unique to each site, which means that it should sort on the entire URL.
I think that it is reasonable to expect to be able to achieve this in some manner, maybe not the way I am trying to do it, but I have to think I am not the first person to want to present the results of subsites sorted alpha-numerically.

Lightroom 3 - Capture Time Sort Not Working

Sync of multi camera wedding shots not working. Camera's clocks are in sync. Files in folder will not sort using capture time. Any ideas on fix?

What sort do you see when choosing "by capture time"? Do you see sorted by capture time within the individual cameras?
A common problem causing this is having the clocks synchronized between several cameras, but being off by days, months or even years on one of the cameras.

Sorting not working in a report with hyperlinks

I have a report with hyperlinks for one column and I noticed that sorting is no longer working on that report. If I use another version of the same report witout hyperlinks; sorting does work fine.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before and what would be the solution.

I didn't remove the sorts and was trying to sort again on another column.
So this is resolved.
Now another issue; when viewing this report in Interactive mode; the column with hyperlinks doesn't have the sort option when I right click on that column. The sort option does show up but it's grayed out (disabled). When I go to Edit mode; it does allow me to sort on that column.
Anyone has noticed this?

Qiuck link is not working for pages/iViews

I have set the quick link property of a page that is assigned to the role and named it myQuickLink but when I browse to:
http://<server>:50000/irj/portal/myQuickLink after the logon page I am not being directed to that page.
The user I am trying with has this role assigned and has access to that page.
Anything I'm missing here?

Sorting not working after upgrading from 10.5.3700.0 to 13.0.2000.0

We are in the process of changing everything over from the 3.5 .net framework to the 4.0 .net framework. As part of this, we are also upgrading Crystal Reports to version 13. We have a 32-bit Windows Server 2003 with the latest patches.
I have installed the latest CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1.msi install program on our server and I have installed the 13.0.1 CR for VS on my local development machine.
The issue I am having is this. We have a fairly large Crystal report with numerous subreports. This report was working perfectly prior to installing all these latest patches/releases. There are two small subreports that use to sort perfectly, by a year column, in descending order. Now, they are sorting by year, in ascending order. The data is not sorted on the report itself, but in the datatable in the VB.net code that is used to populate the subreport. We use code like this to populate the subreport:
Report.Subreports("Pensionable_Earnings").Database.Tables("GroupedEarnings").SetDataSource(CType(EarningsInputs, DataTable))
Does anyone know of a specific reason the sort would have just stopped?
For what it is worth, there are two references that I have not added to my VS2010 project targeting the 4.0 framework. The 3.5 version had references to CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework and CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore, but I didn't see these when I tried to add references to my 4.0 version, so I just left them out. I didn't get a compile error, but I wonder if this could be causing the issue?

Sorting not working if table linked to another table

Got a table with student marks:
Table 1 student
mark
A
98
B
79
C
82
if I copy/paste the marks to another table then sort (ascending, sort by B entire table), it is sorting as expected:

98
if instead I go in Table 2 and enter a formula in B2 to get the mark from table 1 (=Table1::B2), fill down the cells, Table 2 will not sort correctly and output this instead!!!!:

Yet another bug and it got submitted to Apple but if more users complain as well (using Provide Numbers Feedback), we might finally get Apple to release a bug-free version of Numbers that works as well as Excel for such basic tasks.

I do noy know if this has anything to do with your problem as I cannot fault the position of the image.
You may also want to have a look at line#104 of the main document where there is a stray ending division tag.

Sorting not working on a report :(

Hi I have a very simply report where data comes from the following query
Select substr(b.field1,2,16) CARDNUMBER,
trim(substr(b.field2,89,40)) cardholdername,
to_date(substr(b.field1,18,6),'mmddyy') POSTINGDATE
from tablename;
I have checked the radio button that says "Use Query Specific column names and validate query".
Now in the report attribues, I select the sort checkbox on card number and run the query, I get an error. when i uncheck the ort checkbox, error is gone Please note that in report attribues, Alias is "cardnumber" and heading is "CARD NUMBER". It gives me the following error:
failed to parse SQL query:
ORA-00911: invalid character
Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

Dimension Header Sort not working in Web Analysis

The dimension header sort which is supposed to sort dimension members automatically as they are designed in the database outline doesn't work and instead any new dimension members are just added to the end of the list. There are four options from the shortcuts menu > Data Display > Dimension Header Sort : Default, Ascending, Descending, Level or Generation. None of these work or none of these reorganize the dimension members order. Does anybody know what could be the problem? We are using Hyperion Web Analysis Studio 9.3.1 running on Red Hat.
This is a big show stopper issue for our deployment because of the vast number of changes to the reports financial users have to do on daily basis they expect the hierachy based on the database outline in Essbase to be retained through any new member additions or changes.

How are you pulling through the members - are you using Descendant of? (I know there is the Dynamic option for drop downs).
Web Analysis is very picky about the formatting and application of different formats in order they were last applied. Maybe try removing all formating to see if there is still an issue, then reapply.
There is also a known issue (SR3-992119231) with shared members only appearing in the first place in the hierarchy and not in any shared hierarchies - the SR indicated it would be fixed in the current version 11.1.x but there was no indication of a backfix to prior releases (9.3.1.x).
