Sort one step behind help

Merry <insert faith here> to all tonight.
I'm doing a sort by dropdown which is bound to a string object in the session bean.
In page1 I do a faultsRowSet.setCommand(getSessionBean1().getChoice())
On change with the dropdown. The trouble is there is a lag between the dropdown variable and when it goes into the method so there seems to be always a lag between variables. Both the variable and the method is in the session bean.
Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.
Cheers Phil.

Hi John,
Unless there's something I missed but when sorting dynamically the table display has a bug (?) for editable fields on current page only other pages are correct (I think editable fields are not refreshed they keep old values, non editable fields are refreshed).
For ex: I have editable textfields on data table, when I resort by choosing field to resort from dropdown box the editable textfields keep old value but non editable fields display new values correctly, I paginate to other pages all fields display correctly when I return to the page where I changed the sort order it still displays wrong date for editable fields.
Now I change these textfields to readonly fields then they displays correct data.
So somehow editable fields are not refreshed with data from rowset.
Futher than this issue, I got an anomaly from UPDATE5, I don't know if other people reported.
I created a new project with UPADTE5.
I created a page PAGE1 with a rowset and data table, it works perfectly,
I create another page PAGE2, I have an error in java code so now I can not bypass as before. So I have to correct the code before go to other pages.
When I go back to PAGE1, all my components on PAGES turned RED on visual designer but when I run it, it worked well. On visual designer my data table now I have on header column, I even lost navigation buttons..when I try to edit the rowset it says I have to choose a table and displayed a list of tables from data source. When I tried to relink data table to the rowset the data table shrinks to a red square...
In one word I have to add again the components...
All components turned red except dropdown box..
Any clues ?
Best regards,
Hung

  • URL one step behind application navigation

I hereby bring this topic up again. It seems that this is no problem anymore to the mass of the users, but I haven't found a final solution, yet. The URL shown in the browser window does not reflect the actual rendered page, but the previous one. Adding the <redirect/> tag causes a violation of the underlaying DTD.
My users have trouble bookmarking the right pages, since the URL is always one step behind.
Bookmarking is just a minor problem, but can anyone tell me a final solution to the problem ?
    Thanks in advance

Thank you very much for your reply.
It gave me the hint that theer might still be a missplaced <redirect/> tag. In my large faces-config.xml I missed a <redirect/> outside the navigation-case.
    Thanks

  • ONE STEP HELP

I started to do a One Step From my DV Cam to DVD. I thought i had enough space on my HD but evidently that was not the case. I got a disk full message so i hit the stop button on iDVD. It did not stop so I had to Force Quit. iDVD seemed to have used up to 5 gig of my Hard Drive and for the life of me i cannot find the iDVD One Step DVDPROJ on my drive. I did spotlight.. and nothing. Any Idea on where the file might be/

OK. Normally iDvd does generate temporary folder for One Step. But I found a work around. I did some testing of my own within One Step iDvd to see if there is a way to tweak iDvd'08 to create a captured folder to the desktop. To my surprise, the answer is Yes ... you can do this under "Advanced" preference settings apparently. But you cannot address these preferences within one step itself or while One step is actually launched. However, you should be able to address these advanced preference settings while any of the other types of Dvd's are selected or launched. Quit iDvd and then launch One Step again. It will make a QT file ... Should generate a .mov to the desktop that looks something like this:
I took pictures of my desktop during the entire process in a step-by-step procedure that follows:
Click on "change" and set the location to the desktop.
(It's worth noting you can address multiple copies of a 1 step w/in iDvd itself after the first copy is completed/burned).
Hope these steps are helpful but if not just come on back. And Good luck!

  • Need help bringing movie into One Step DVD

I am trying to do the One Step DVD with i-movie. I have done this before, but for some reason I keep getting the error message that there is no movie on the tape. I know there is. It rewinds the tape and then pauses when it tries to capture it. Can someone help me on this? Thanks! Kelly

Any time code breaks on this tape whatsoever? Did you try Restarting your mac and the camcorder as well?
If that fails, then let's try a different approach. Let's burn a one step dvd from a movie or QT folder. Let me know if this works for you or not.
Burning a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk
You can burn a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk, skipping the creative process involved in creating menus, modifying themes, and so on. When you insert the burned disc into a DVD player or a computer, the disc plays automatically.
To burn a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk:
With iDVD open, choose File > “OneStep DVD from Movie.”
Locate the movie you want to add in the dialog that opens, then click Import.
Insert a blank DVD disc into your computer’s SuperDrive or an external drive when you are prompted to do so.
A progress dialog indicates how far along you are in creating the DVD. You can click the Cancel button at any point before the burning stage to quit and leave the DVD disc untouched.
iDVD burns the disc in whatever format (NTSC or PAL) you have specified in iDVD preferences, regardless of which format the video is in. If the formats are different, iDVD warns you before burning, because some visual distortions might result in the burned DVD.
NOTE: After burning, to eject a disc from your computer’s internal disc drive, press the Media Eject key on your keyboard, if there is one. On keyboards with no Media Eject key, hold down the F12 key until the eject icon appears and your disc is ejected.

  • Using "One Step DVD from Movie" on my IMac 10.8.6 using Verbatim DVD-R ("Life Series") 4.7 GB 16X 120, I get a wide angle version of my two minute story rather than the 3X4 standard aspect ratio that I normally get and want.  Help!

While using "One Step DVD from Movie"  using DVD-R Verbatim ("Life Series" 4.7  16 X  120 min) on my IMac 10.6.8 I get a wide angle aspect ratio on the DVD not the standard 3X4 aspect ratio.  The Quicktime Movie is is standard 3X4 aspect ratio and the video video footage is standard 3X4 aspect ratio?  Advice will be greatly appreciated.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
    3 -  reboot.
4 - launch IDVD and try again.
Personally I would not the the one step method but create the iDVD project  from scratch so you can make sure the widescreen option is not selected in the preferences and you can follow this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • One Step DVD stops at 30 mins on 60 min project...help please?

Hi..I'm at wits end. Altho nothing, not even an error message appears on my screen, my One Step DVD burn stops at 30 mins on my 60 min project. It looks, however, as if it is continuing to burn! It's only after the fact when I try to play it that I find out it has stopped at 30 minutes.
My set up is that I am running a mini-DV tape from my camcorder to the computer. What am I doing wrong? Preferences maybe? Thanks for any input on this at all. I'm stumped! Kate

    Hi Kate:
    Quit iDVD.
Locate a file named com.apple.iDVD.plist and get rid of it.
iDVD will create a new one the next time it runs.
Empty the trash and run a permission repair using the Disk Utility.
The files you need are found here:
    -->/Users/YourName**/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iDVD.plist

    Hi all
I'm trying to archive mini dv to dvd as easily as possible, my tapes are 62 min
long and if I put 2 tapes into imovie I already exceed buning limit.
One step dvd only lets me import one tape and then decides to complete the task of burning.
Should I buy better software or my other method could be to pipe the camcorder into my panasonic set top dvd burner, but I'm not sure if I'll
lose some quality it only has s video connection and no fire wire.
    help

    I've solved my own problem.
While importing to one step dvd and while on that pane I click and hold a word
on the top bar of the screen wich sort of freezes everything and with my other
hand I pause the play on the camera and eject the tape 2 seconds before
the tape is about to come to its end, then load a rewound tape back in and
push play then let go of the mouse or even click one more time on the menu bar. I don't think one step knew what just happened, but there maybe blue
screen recorded while I changed tapes. We'll see.

Loading content from multiple MiniDV tapes to one DVD
    Posted: Nov 1, 2005 3:05 PM
I am being offered this "One Touch" feature on iDVD to copy my Camera footage to a DVD. I am wondering what the best process is to follow if I wanted to, say, merge :30 minutes of content from one MiniDV and :20 minutes of content from another. Should I be uploading to iMovie instead? If I have the ultimate objective of a. having copies on DVD instead of MiniDV and b. using the content for video editing in iMovie, what is the best process to follow?
    1. Move all MiniDV to DVD and then work from that?
    2. Import clips into iMovie and move them to iDVD?
    Tips, best practices, advice appreciated.

    Brian,
It's pretty much agreed here that the best storage medium for your MiniDV tapes, is the tape itself.
I tried OneStep once. Yuk. I bring everything into iMovie HD.

  • OVD One step configuration for AD

    Hi all,
Please help me to sort out the problem in configuring the one step configuration for AD using OVD.
I had followed the document of Oracle® Virtual Directory Product Manual Release 10g (10.1.4.2.0).
    Link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/E10286_01/ovdm.htm#CACCGAAF
But i am not able to complete the configuration.I was able to follow the steps upto 5.
In step6 by clicking the button Verify Directory Servers it is taking more time to validate. Where i can check logs for this.
I was able to ping and i was able to bind to Active Directory. But this step is not able to complete. It is telling "*Querying XX.XX.XX.XXX:389*" for namespaces. I had waited for two hours no message.
What may be wrong in configuration. I had specified the following values in the cloumns:
Domain DNSName: company.com [Active Directory Root DN]
    Server DNS/IP:

    Hey friend,
You are absolutely right. The issue is with DNS.
Without specifying DNS in the entry, it is able to validate the Active Directory.
Now, how can i resolve DNS issue in my system. Can you help me to sort out in solving this issue.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • One Step DVD Capture Video TIme

I've just recently run into a problem with One Step DVD and would like to know if anyone else has had the same issue. I normally don't use One Step DVD but my father uses it because it requires little if any computer skills when it comes to iMovie or iDVD.
He recently came to me with a problem that has cropped up with the One Step option. When he goes to use it the the very first step in the process is capturing the Video from the camera. The camera rewinds the tape as is the norm and then the computer starts to capture the video with no problem. The problem is with the capture time/available time that shows up on the screen. For some reason the available time consistantly shows approximately nine minutes when it is a full hour long tape. I've tried finding if there is some setting that is throwing it off in the preferences and can't seem to find anything related to it. I've also tried dumping the preferences with no result. I've also tried a number of different video tapes with no change. Recently I took it home and tried it on my system where it gave me a available capture time of 17 minutes even though there is an hour of footage. Today I took MY video camera up to my folks house and hooked it up and gave it a shot and of course it gave me an available capture time of 9 minutes. So I'm at a loss here folks. Any help would be appreciated. I personally think it's the prog but I'm open to suggestions. Below are the cameras and systems I have tried this on. Remember I've tried both cameras with each computer with the result of the available capture time not matching the amount of footage on the tape.
    My Father's setup
    Mac Mini 1.6 Ghz
    1.6 Gb Ram
    OS 10.4.8
    Video Camera: Canon ZR45
    My Setup
    Dual 2.0 Ghz PowerMac G5
    2.5 Gb ram
    OS 10.4.8
    Video Camera: Sony TRV315

    Hi Wayne,
I honestly have no explanation why iDVD / OneStep is showing only 17 mins. left of capture unless you don't have enough available HD space to capture to.
    3 suggestions only:
    1. Make certain you have plenty of available HD space for this process. I recommend no less than 20GB of available HD space for each hour of video.
    2. Before launching iDVD/OneStep, drag and drop the plist for iDVD to the trash. Looks like this:
    com.apple.iDVD.plist
    3. After trashing the plist for iDVD, connect your mindv camcorder via firewire and relaunch iDVD while the camera is powered on. In most cases, iLife apps will default to the correct settings on its own (provided your mac sees the connection under system profiler).
Good luck & hope this helps

  • XMLP print - two steps or one step?

When we were in 11.5.9 + XMLP 4.5 (with XMLP and CM integrated configuration), to print concurrent reports via XMLP always two steps. namely, the first step produces XML file and the second step is running XML Publisher Report to feed the XML file to the template and print pdf output.
After we upgraded EBS from 11.5.9 to 11.5.10.2, the XMLP has also been upgraded to 5.0. Apperas to be (my observation) that SRS enabled reports(such as "Printed Purchase Order(Portait)", "Invoice Print Batch of Invoices", "Invoice Print Preview Report", "Invoice Print Selected Invoices", etc) can been printed in one step (no need to run the second step - run XMLP, OPP takes care of it).
However, for non-SRS programs, such as "Print purchase order", "Print Statement", "Dunning Letter Print", it still need two steps. Oracle support says, it is bug to specific report (she gave Dunning Letter Print as example) and not related to SRS.
Just wonder if any one in this forum has similar circumstances and has got any workaround.
    Any help and information appreciated.

You are correct in your assessment. We created a program that submits the desired program then passes the request id, template, etc. to the xml report publisher concurrent program.

I have always imported my cds (including books) into iTunes using one step called "join cd tracks" which is under the "Advanced" menu. Never a problem. But today I was importing a 10 disc book and on the 7th disc all of a sudden the choice to join cd tracks was greyed out. I have tried it with other discs. No luck. How can I get to this option again. I was not doing anything different so don't know what took away this choice. Can anyone help me?

Thought it had worked but soon found out it had not.
after further days of trying finally, solved it for me Yesterday.
turned off notifications when locked, and bingo, wow.
i have not turned off iCloud but location services are also off.
best thing to do I found was keep checking your usage, settings, general, usage, and flip down to bottom, if the standby and usage are similar there is a problem, if there is a big difference then all is ok. Just keep turning things off and on until the difference is very apparent.
something on my phone was keeping the phone alive even when turned off, and I think this was the phone repeatedly trying to update continually.
to me this is definitely down to the iOS, my wife has exactly same phone and iOS but hers doesn't have any problem and the battery lasts for days.
the guy at the Genius Bar told me to restore the phone via iTunes, not iCloud. This is because iCloud remembers the exact info from your phone and simply reinstates it when you restore, and this includes the iOS too.
when I get home from holidays that's what I'll do, or wait for iOS 8 in few weeks. But I'm so pleased I finally made it work, I was beginning to think ditch the phone and buy Samsung.
anyway anyone out there please try my final solution and let me know if it works for you?

  • How can I convert a large batch of NEFs to JPGs in one step or action?

How can I convert a large batch of NEFs to JPGs in one step or action?  I'm very new to Lightroom and know almost nothing about it, so I need to know step-by-step.  I've seen online advise about exporting but I don't know what that means - export from where to where?  Can anyone help me?  Thanks!

I suggest you take a little time to watch some tutorials. If you are that new to Lightroom that you don't understand what export means then it would probably be a good idea for you to get some other information as well. If you don't I think you'll find Lightroom can be very confusing. You haven't indicated what version of Lightroom you are using. The link I'm providing you is a series of getting started videos for Lightroom 5. And just about everything in this series will apply to other versions. You will note that there is one video devoted exclusively to exporting images. But I think you really need to watch the whole series.

  • Check/uncheck record results on more than one step at a time

I have one hundred plus sequence files and several thousand steps total. Checking and un-checking record results one step at a time takes a long time. I'd like to be able to select several steps at a time then check or un check the "Record Results" option for all those steps at once. How do I do this? I'm using TestStand 2.0

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks for contacting National Instruments.
Do you want to disable result recording for ALL sequences on this station? If so, you can turn on this option in the TestStand sequence editor (Configure >> Station Options, turn ON checkbox "Disable result recording for all sequences").
However, if you only want to do this for selected sequence files, then Ray is correct - you would need to write an external routine that will automate this for you. Attached is a zipfile containing a VBScript that will iterate through one sequence file ("c:\test.seq") and change all steps (all sequences, including Main/Setup/Cleanup) to turn off "Record Results". It first saves a backup copy of the sequence file, makes the changes, then save
s the modified sequence file. You can enhance this script to work for more than one sequence file by using Microsoft's FileSystemObject.
The VBScript uses a DLL I created, which exposes the TestStand 2.0 Engine object as an ActiveX DLL. Before you can run the VBScript, you will need to register this DLL:
    regsvr32 TSEngine.dll
Then, the VBScript can be executed just by double-clicking it. Hopefully this helps get you started toward creating an automated way of solving this problem!

  • How do I scan & save a PDF in just ONE step?

How do I scan & save a PDF in just ONE step? I can easily scan a document to an OCR'd PDF, but it does not seem to save it until I manually select "save". Seems there should be a way to set up scans to a particular folder destination, with a naming convention & auto numbering, such as YYYYmmDD-0001, YYYYmmDD-0002, etc. I've looked thru the Create>PDF form scanner>configure presets, and no such item seems to exist. There IS a "add to existing document", but that's not what I want to do. I just want to select "scan", and have it create an OCR'd PDF file in a folder.

    Hi,
You can achieve this via Action wizard. Auto Numbering is not possible however you can combine Scan and Save As in one action.
    Click Tool>Action Wizard
    Create New Action
See screenshot and set the options that i have highlighted in blue
Let me know if that helps.
