Sort out the Mail Rules

How can I sort the mail rules, say by Description or by name.
I have a lot of them and they are sorted by the time I added them.
I KNOW you can sort them manually, but surely there has to be a way to sort them by a click of a mouse, or a script or something.

If the accounts are on the same computer, you should not have to use a different e-mail address. If your son's account is not an Administrator account, this may be the issue. Are you able to launch VirusBarrier from your son's account from Applications>Intego?

Yes I am able to do that and the issue that we were having seems to have settled down after the computer crashed and I restarted it by resetting PRAM and repairing the disk. Here's my latest list of complaints to Intego regarding Family Protector. I thought it should be shared:
I have been using Family Barrier for a couple of years now, and may I say, it has so many problems that as soon as I can find a better alternative, I'm gone. Until that day, however, I expect some solutions.
Issue #1: The application is 100% unreliable. The chances of it doing its job on any given day are seriously 50/50. Or worse. This alone renders the program useless. But that's not all.
Issue #2: It's unbelievably easy to override. Are you seriously unaware that all one has to do is change the date on the computer to one before Family Barrier was installed, it will 100% not do its job. Awesome. This is straight out of Hacking 101, and any program should be able to defend against it. Otherwise, any demo I try download can be made to work forever. While some are, most are not. Get it together, People.
Of course, making time changes impossible can be done from my end by the keeping admin password unknown to the protected user, but what if the protected user needs admin access? That happens to be my case. Nonetheless, I was willing to block admin access to fix the problem until you could tell me that YOU'VE done your job and taken care of it (you will tell me that, right?). But then I was left with Issue #1 (remember? the one where it only works 50% of the time at best?), so what's the point?
I thought I'd try reinstalling it again, just for fun. I've done this before and it's worked TEMPORARILY (tell me the truth, would you pay for an application that constantly had to be re-installed so that it would work for a while? the truth, now). Why am I not surprised that now even that simple process is f'ing up. I punch in my name and serial and it won't accept it. Is there no end to the awesomeness? Somehow, I think that there is not.
It's especially frustrating that there is no support number for me to call, forcing me to have to go through THIS process, which makes your job so much easier and is so much less helpful for your customers) just to get any answers... eventually.

You can't tell by the email address since you can pretty much put whatever you want in there (especially if the SMTP server is not filtering anything).
The header may be able to tell you something. There is a Received header value which looks like it has the routing information although I am not sure if this is a complete trace or just the last hop the message took.

How can i sort out the N lowiest elements from an 1D array faster than using the build in sort function (1D-array) in Labview?

I need an algorithm that is based on the same sorting-algorithm that Labview uses (or one that is just as fast) but it only needs to sort out the N lowiest elements (and the N-element output array don't need to be sorted).

I want all three zeros in the output. You can se the algorithm that I'm looking for as a soft version of Labviews own sort algorithm that only gives you the N (always less then the length of the array) lowiest values as output.If two elements contain the same small value both should be sorted out.

i.e.

Library/Mail/V2/MailData/SyncedRules.plist
Library/Mail/V2/MailData/UnsyncedRules.plist
What you suggest copies the local mailbox content + all the settings ...
while what I need is much less... and I'd like to be able to sync rules also in the future
by copying something light and simple ... not the entire Library/Mail folder

Help me sort out the problems with Java 2 SDK SE

I install Java SDK 2 standard Eddition version 1.4 in my computer (Window NT4). When I test the installation by typing in "java -version", it displays the following message.

i might guess that you have j2sdk1.4.0\jre\bin on your PATH, but not j2sdk1.4.0\bin ...

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Sort out the invoices based on Sales Org, Dist Channel, Div while printing

Hi all,
My User required to run the program - RV60SBAT
for creating batch job : FR_INVOICING.
When we check the steps in the job FR_INVOICING we could find 10 steps with different variants.
On running this job, system will provide the printing of Invoices for different Sales Organizations, Distribution Channel, Division and Invoice Numbers. However this out put is not generating in a sorted manner currently.
User requirement is to sort out the invoices based on Sales Organizations, Distribution Channel, Division and Invoice Numbers.
Kindly look into this and help me how to address/approach this problem.

Assign fields KOMKBV3-VKORG KOMKBV3-VTWEG KOMKBV3-SPART to output type config sort order fields sort field1, sort field2, sort field3 respectively.
Use user exit include RSNASTZZ and add the following code
under when '50'.
insert NAST-SORT1 NAST-SORT2 NAST-SORT3 NAST-OBJKY INTO HEADER.
Change RSNAST00 job step variant to incluce 50 in the sort field.

It seems impossible to get the horizontal scrolling to work smoothly and in a way that doesn't result in some albums/apps in the row being skipped.

I have aol for mac. I can't figure out the mail or how to retrieve folders or mailboxes

First, I don't know if I have a mac intel or a ppc. I don't know what that means. Anyway, I have had a pc and aol since the dinosaur days. Just the other day I got a mac. I have had iphones since they began and my boys have macs so I thought what the heck. Well, it is so confusing I am pulling my hair out. My husband says icloud is on my phone, ipad and mac. I am having trouble keeping all my photos from automatically moving to my phone. I don't want 1400 photos on my phone, only some of them and can't figure out how to make it do that.
This question though is about the mail. I loaded aol onto the mac. I wanted all my mail to transfer over like it always has when changing pc's. But it did not give that option with the mac, so it just brought over my account but not my mail, saved folders and all. I have folders for bills, shopping, insurance, christmas, many many things. Probably 12-15 of them and when I get email in that I need to keep, I put it in one of those folders and can go back to it at any time. However with the apple, they don't have folders, they are called mailboxes. Now I finally figured out how to make new mailboxes for each subject. However, they do not show up on the left under the mail stuff. You have to go to toolbar once you highlight the email and go to view, then to move to or something like that, then you see the folders. If you click on one, supposedly the email goes in there. However, there is no way to tell for sure because you cannot go to them at all otherwise. And you can't open the folder cuz it is not in bold unless you are putting something in there. Then it goes away. So I don't know if it went in there so I can't delete it and it just keeps piling up. Also, my sent mail doesn't save automatically, nor does anything else. Right now my email has a dash out where it says how many emails you have incoming, but it was never there before and I don't think I got any of my mail today that I got now that I am on the pc so how do I take that off.
Also on the on the mac list it says it has like 80 something there, but it won't let me double click or see what it is, so I don't understand. I just want to get it organized.

Fortunately, AOL keeps a copy of mail and folders on their server, so you can be reassured that the email is there, you just have to find a way to access it.
There are three ways to read AOL mail on your Mac.
- You can open a browser such as Safari, log into http://aol.com, and read mail there (ie "webmail");
- You can install the AOL Desktop software, which is probably what you had on the PC. I don't tend to recommend this, as there's usually no need to install extra software, and I've found it very sluggish on a Mac. However, for people who are very used to it and dont want to change, the option is there;
- You can read AOL email in the Apple Mail application.
If you have added your AOL to Apple Mail, your mailboxes/folders should be available to you under a heading called "AOL" (you may have named your account differently). The mailboxes are on the left side - as mentioned above, you can hide and show the mailbox panel. (There's a "Show" button on the top left to reveal the mailboxes, which changes to "Hide" when you click it. If you already see "Hide", then you're fine.)
The server mailbox heading will be at the bottom of the mailbox panel on the bottom left. If you move your cursor over it, and you see the word "Show" appear, click that word. That will reveal the mailboxes within that server account.
In the example above, my server mail account is called "Google", but the principle is the same. Clicking "Show" will reveal all the mail folders held on the server. The same thing should work for your AOL account.

When are the mail rules triggered

I have written a short piece of applescript code that is called by a rule for incoming mail. The rule includes some checks to see if the 'from' address contains certain text strings and calls the script if any are found.
The way the script works now is to get all of the messages in the 'inbox' of a specific account and check all of them again for any that contain the same 'from' address text strings and, for each one it finds, saves a copy of the message on disk and then moves the message into a special mail folder.
All this works well - mostly. Occasionally it seems to miss one message (using the 'Apply Rules' menu option when the message is selected works so not much is lost) which has an identical 'from' text to others that are processed.
What I'm wondering is:
1) is the rule applied once for each message as it is transferred from the ISP into the inbox or is the rule applied once all of the messages has been transferred in?
2) if the rule is applied to each message, I assume this means that my script is executed multiple times. Therefore is there a way for the script to be told which message it is being called for?

I think the rule fires once per message that matches the conditions - but if you call a script, it is passed as a list. The skeleton below I use in several scripts, some rule fired. The advantage of this format is that you can select several messages and launch the script manually, or have it fired by rule, and either way it works.
The best location for such scripts is in your Library/Scripts/Applications/Mail folder, so that they are listed in the scripts menu when Mail is the front application and not otherwise, leaving your scripts menu uncluttered by inappropriate scripts.

               pw.write("hello");Here you are printing one line to the server. So the server won't ever do anything in the readLine() loop above. Then you are exiting the client without closing the socket or its output stream so the server gets a 'connection reset'.

The Mail Rule That Will Not Die

Hi all--
I am using Mail v6.3 for Mountain Lion (v.10.8.3) for my @roadrunner.com account. A couple of years back my iPad 1 did not play well with my roadrunner account so I set up a gmail account and set up a rule in Mail to forward all of my roadrunner email to the gmail account on my iPad. fFash forward a few years and now I can set up my roadrunner account on my iPad 2 with no problem.
I deleted the forwarding rule yet my roadrunner email continues to be forwarded to the gmail account. I have trashed (I think) my Mail preferences, rebuilt the mailbox, and even deleted and re-created the roadrunner account in Mail, but still when I receive an email to the roadrunner account a copy is forwarded to the gmail account (yes, I checked to make sure that there are no forwarding rules on the gmail account).
How do I get Mail to stop forwarding my roadrunner email to the gmail account?
