Sort Podcasts By Alphabetical Order in Main Menu

How do you sort the Main Menu of the Podcasts app in alphabetical order?  Mine only sorts the podcasts in the order that I subscribed to them, from newest to oldest.  Is there any way to sorth them alphabetically other than manually?
I have looked at the options in the app and in the Settings menu, but there are not choices availalbe. Any ideas?  Thanks.

In list view - click the "Album" heading to sort in ascending or descending order
In Album view - press Cmd+j for view options. Select Sort by: Title

  • How can I sort the my podcasts in alphabetical order?

    After the update to iTunes 11.1 my podcasts are all in chaotic order. I can't find anything anymore.
    Even podcasts with nearly the same name are not in the same place.
    Example: Windows Weekly (hi) isn't followed by Windows Weekly (mp3)
    Where or how can I change the sort order ?

    Although the original post is a few weeks old, I suspect that many people are still having the same issue.
    I'm using the List view (the old view), which presents the Podcasts in the Programme-name alphabetical order:
    As G3gator says, "something " needs exterminating!

  • Sort Podcasts in Chronological order (oldest first)?

    How do i sort my podcasts in chronological order (oldest first)? The default is reverse chronological order (most recent first).
    I am able to do this in iTunes on my Mac. But this does not translate to my iPod after a synch.

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
    This isn't configurable on the iPod. Reverse date order is what you get. You can however make playlists with the tracks in a different order.

  • Is there a way to sort songs into alphabetical order under artist as opposed to being grouped by album?

    Hi all.
    After a long overdue update to my ipod touch I've noticed that when I select an artist my songs are now grouped by album as opposed to alphabetically. Wondering if its possible to change this as I cant find any options or information on this myself.
    Thanks.

    If you find the music sorting order as annoying as I think most people do, let apple know at:

  • Is it possible to sort textframes in alphabetical order?

    Hi,
    I have a large number of separate text frames with text startsing with a number.
    Is it possible to sort the text frames i alphabetical / numeric order either in y or z?
    Scripts available that I've found sort paragraphs, but since my text frames contains several paragraphs that's not an option.
    InDesign CS5, MacOS X.
    So, help much appreciated.
    /K

    That took me a few minutes
    Sorting 'on contents' is easy, but then the text order inside the frames as set would be correct, but not the order of the frames themselves. The top frame on your screen may not be "the first one" according to the order of creation.
    So you also have to re-sort the text frame location, top to bottom and left to right. I do this by first sorting the frames into the correct location, so the "first" frame is actually the first one on the page, then the next one etc.
    Then I sort the contents on the first word and move the frames around into their sorted order.
    I do this quick 'n dirty: by moving their geometric bounds around. Thus it's possible I place a large text into a small 'original' frame (actually I don't move the text around) and it might get overset. But this way nothing else on the screen changes.
    If you want the frames aligned and spaced out as in your "below" image, you could do that before running my script.
    Is this what you were looking for?
    list = app.selection;
    org_order = [];
    for (i=0; i<list.length; i++)
    org_order[i] = list[i].geometricBounds;
    org_order.sort (function(a,b) {
    if (a[0] == b[0]) return a[1] - b[1];
    return a[0] - b[0];
    list.sort ( function(a, b) {
    return parseInt(a.texts[0].words[0].contents) - parseInt(b.texts[0].words[0].contents);
    for (i=0; i<org_order.length; i++)
    list[i].geometricBounds = org_order[i];

  • Sorting Albums in alphabetic order on iPad

    I set up a set of Albums in iPhotos on my iMac. Later I added a new album and it went to the bottom of the list of albums on the left side of screen. I physically dragged that last album up among the other albums to put it in alpha order. All well and good.
    Problem is when I sync my iPad, that last album doses not appear in alpha order
    ; it stays at bottom of group.
    Please help me put this and future albums in alpha order. Thanks

    My iPad 2 and iPhone 4 are on iOS 6.0.1 (was on iTunes 10.7, recently updated to 11) and most of my smart lists are sorted as in iTunes.  The ones that don't seem to be sorted correctly are those which are limited in size by number of songs (e.g. "Limit to 25 songs").  Playlists that are limited by capacity (e.g. "Limit to 500 MB") seem to have the same sort order as in iTunes.
    I'm not sure if this matches your conditions, but if you have not done so already then try adding either of the criteria:
    "Playlist is Music" (which is the general Music category, which can serve as a playlist name), or
    "Media Kind is Music"
    See if either of those help you, and be sure to re-save the playlist's sort order in iTunes before syncing your iPad.

  • Photos for iOS: How can i sort all of my albums automatically in alphabetical order

    Hey there,
    first off, why isn't there a a community for the new Photos app?
    Anyway, here is my problem:
    How can i sort my albums on the new Photos app on iOS?
    I think it's not possible at the moment.
    I am using the iCloud Photo library and uploadet all of my 15.000 photos from the last 15 years.
    And because of that, i now have many many albums on Photos now.
    Overall i love the new app and i love the iCloud Photo library, but i cannot sort my albums on the iOS app automatically in alphabetical order.
    I can sort albums manual, but who wants that, when you have so many of them???
    I have Photos on my Mac too and there i am able to do sort them in alphabetical order. But it is not adopted to iOS or the iCloud Web-App.
    Because of that, i have a complete picture chaos on my iPhone and when i am looking for this one pic in that one album it takes me forever to find it.
    So please Apple, fix this and we all can live happily ever after!
    Thank you!

    Moments in Photo are the new Events.  T
    here's a way to simulate events in Photos.
    When the library was first migrated there was a folder created titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events are represented by an album in the folder. To open the sidebar if it's not open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
    When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N.  Name it as desired.  It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
    When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window showing all of the albums.
    The downside to this simulation is that the Album/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title while viewed in the Folder in the main window or in the sidebar. But they can be sorted manually.
    Ask Apple for more sorting options in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

  • HT4191 how can i sort my iphone notes in alphabetical order?

    I synced my MS Outlook notes through iTunes onto my iPhone 4S.  The notes were in alphabetical order on my computer, but now they are in creation date order on the iPhone, making them almost useless (the notes contain subject-based information).  Is there any way I can sort them into alphabetical order?  Settings does not seem to have this ability.  Alternatively, is there an app I can get that will offer sort options/functionality for my notes on the iPhone?  Thank you all!

    I played with "Reminders" app. It allows sorting (as you do for aligning cities in your weather app).  And u have the option to choose a time to be notified/reminded to view it. Reminders have titles, then u can list related items under ea title as sub topics; these subs can later be moved to a NEW "title" if you need to subdivide (e.g., if a title is "To Do" but your list gets long and you want to break down the To Do list into "Shop" &amp; "Chores"). This is done by tapping "details" then "list" when you're on the To Do page.

  • Podcasts now listed in Alphabetical order in Audi

    So after updating to the iOS4, I've noticed that the podcast "folder" via my 2010 Audi A4 is showing all the podcasts in alphabetical order instead of date order. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using a 3GS.

    Most likely they are marked as a Compilation album. Those go at the end of the coverflow list.

  • Bookmarks, Putting them in alphabetical order

    Hi,
    Sorry if this has been done before, How do you sort bookmarks by alphabetical order in your popular folder, I have tranfered them from IE7 ok but have drawn a blank. Also how would i copy all my bookmarks into this folder.
    Many thanks if you can help with this.

    not sure how to put in order but you can click on the open book icon to the right under the arrow and drag your imported IE favorite to the book marks menu or any other folder in there and rename it what you like, but as for order i haven't yet figured this out.

  • Organize Table of Contents by alphabetical order in Pages

    Hi,
    Is it possible to organize a table of contents by alphabetical order in pages?
    Thanks!

    Pages inserts a Table of Contents in page order, that is what a T.O.C. is.
    You want an Index.
    Export the T.O.C. to Text.
    Open that text file in a Word Processor that allows sorting* and sort it into Alphabetical order.
    Copy that sorted Index back into Pages.
    Peter
    * Pages will do this if you install WordService [free] from DevonTechnologies

  • Opening files--files not in alphabetical order.

    Suddenly when opening files, the files are not sorted out in alphabetical order; I don't have a clue how this happened.

    Did you check that the Name column in the file picker has a arrow to indicate sorting by name?

    Dear Grumpy
    this is strictly a user to user forum and is specifically NOT a place to contact Apple  - griping at the volenteer users here does no one any good at all
    Have you made the request - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback?

    I am sorry that I ran afoul of the user guidelines, I'll remove the rant if I can.  I certainly did not intend my  gripe to target the helpful responder.  And yes, I did provide the feedback to Apple.  I'm just used to such feedback going into a "black hole".  Which this almost certainly does because this problem has existed for years (I Googled for an answer first.)  However, it should be noted that company's tend to respond to feedback that is very public if they want to keep a good name in the business.  The private feedback through the program is like a quiet whisper, only the two parties involved know about it, so there is no real incentive for prompt action.

  • Sort my bookmarks in drop down lists in alphabetical order not just in Library Views

    When I click on Bookmarks then select a folder to view its contents, I want to see those contents in alphabetical order By Name, not in the hpahazard order in which they were added. I know I can View them in the Library List in alphabetical order or change that to something else. But I want tp make the drop down list and the folder contents to be in alphabetical order all the time.

    The Views menu in the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) is for viewing the bookmarks in a different sorting order (hence the name Views) and doesn't sort bookmarks permanently.<br />
    Clicking the column header does the same sorting for viewing purposes only.<br />
    If you want to sort bookmarks then you need to right-click a folder and use "Sort By Name" to sort that folder.
