Dear All,
I have problem in SMTP configuation, i refered SAP note : 455140, but i could solve some issues like ,
when i try to send message i am getting following error any one plz suggest
Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)
Message no. XS816
Diagnosis
Due to a technical fault, the system could not set up a connection to the RFC destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes. Therefore, the message could not be transferred to node SMTP.
System Response
The system was unable to transfer the message.
Additional information of the node used (in the system language of the node):
Procedure
Check the connection from SAP system to node SMTP. Perhaps the node is not assigned to the correct RFC destination. If so, correct this in Customizing.
Otherwise use RFC destination management to check the RFC connection to destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes.
If R/3 is in productive operation, it is advisable to reroute provisionally to another node.
You should therefore notify your system administrator.

Symptom
The system sends through an RFC node. In the node settings, a time was set for the repeat procedure of the send attempt. In case of an intermittent RFC connection several documents are sent. The first document gets the status text:
Message cannot currently be transferred to node <node ID> due to connection error.
With all other documents, the node ID is missing in the status message.
If the time for the repeating procedure of the send attempt has expired, the first document gets the status text:
Message cannot be transferred to node <node ID> due to connection error.
With all other documents, the node ID is also missing in the status message.

SOST error 802 - emails not being sent as recipient unknown

Hello Experts,
Similar issue has been posted earlier but suggested solutions are not solving my problem.
When user sends mail (having .xls attachment) to XXX@YYY .com (an external email id), the email is being sent.
When the user tries sending a similar mail again, the mail ends with error 802 (recipient unknown error) for SAME recipient.
The mails are being sent sometimes but sometimes they end with above error.
When I try re-sending failed email, it sends out successfully.
Can you please throw some light on this as to why emails are failing only sometimes?

Remote Client Copy - Ended in Erros

Hi Friends,
We recently performed a Remote client copy. What we normally do is we restore an latest offline backup of the Prod into an instance built exclusively for performing client copies into our QA system.
So if our actual PROD is ABC ( production ), the replica system is ADC. We restore latest backup onto ADC. Then from ADC we do a client copy onto AQC ( Quality ). We have n number of clients in AQC. When copying into a particular client we are facing this problem of 3 tables not being able to get copied. They are BKPF,LTAK and SOST. It happened twice that the Remote client ended with errors.
It says "Read or conversion error". The detailed error looks like below ;

We approached SAP and they asked to do a DB reorg, run update statistics on both source and target and then re run the client copy.
Well DB reorg is a big activity so we just updated the statistics and ran again the "recopying errors" but still it is the same problem.

The database logs dont indicate anything at all about this error or i am not able to locate them.

There was a table comparison done for these tables properties in both source and target and everything looked ok and confirmed by the application.
At this moment we have anyway decided to go a fresh client copy again as lot of time has already passed and there would be differences in source and target tables.
But anyway could you please tell me the procedure to transport tables between source and target systems?

How to register a program in Gateway

Hi,
In my daily monitoring schedule I have found in that all teleFAX mails are in failed status( SOST) error number 816. On further analysis I have found that the RFC for the FAX server ( SAPCONNECT_FAXSERVER ) is not working,it gives that the programxxxx.sapgate is not registered.
Please let us know where we have to registered this program or any hint

The registration is done from your Fax server software. Read the Fax server software documentation...

While using SOST the mail is not getting triggered & I am getting the foloowing error. Could anyone help me out.

After Unicode SOST - Converstion from ALI to HTM Error

We have done our unicode conversion in our ECC 6.0 (single code page to Unicode)
After the unicode conversion, we are able to send mails, but for many mails which need the conversion it fails.
The reason is
"Status txt     Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted"
When we display the trace file in SOST, we get the below trace

In the SCOT node configuration
we have chosen
"Code Page : 0 - No Conversion into Other Character set"
Internet > SAPSCRIPTs - PDF
ABAP LIST > HTM

RAW > TXT
But our out put is in the ABAP LIST format, we get the conversion error,

I am using the function module "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" to send an email attachment.
The program is getting executed successfully but when i see in SOST transaction, i am getting an error message.
Error number is 829 and it says " Internal error: SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exception: 2 "...
How do i resolve this error ....??

Errors in SOST for outgoing emails

Hi All,
I am coming across few errors in SOST with recipient as MAILSYS and the error text says 'No delivery to MAILSYS, invalid recipient address'. Can anybody help me to find out why the outgoing emails are not being sent. From SOST log how to find out workitem ID so that we can check in SWI1.

I didn't get you (1 recipient list ???). Daily I am observing errors most of which have recipient as MAILSYS and very few othes like normal email addresses,
the error text says like 'No delivery to MAILSYS, invalid recipient address' or 'No delivery to - Normal email ID - , as recipient unknown'

Error in SOST Transaction - Mail Sending to OUTLOOK

Hi Experts,
I have a Requirement where, I am sending mails from Workflows to OUTLOOK. Mails are Going absolutely fine for some Cases, but in some Cases it ends up in Error in SOST Trnsaction.
Is there a limit to the E-Mail Address.. to which mails are being sent..!!
From the SU01 and BP Transaction, I can see that E-Mail ID Field is 241 Characters..
In the Address Strings in the E-Mail ID Container element...which stores E-mail ID..its 241 characters..!!
When the Mail from the WF goes, it shows in SOST and from there it ends in Error. The Receipient Address Field in SOST is 35 Characters but it shows only 30 Characters.
When I check the WF Log, the Address String Container Element also fetches 30 Characters, whereas it si 241 Characters long.
Can you please let me know..where else I am missing.

Since the field length is of 35 characters, it shows the mail id only up to 35 characters in SOST, but this do not affect sending the mails(happening in my case).There should be some other reason why the mails are ending up in error.Please check the mail ids.

Alert Configuration: SMTP Error in SOST, Container variables not filling.

I have been configured in XI System following sdn and Michal's blog.ALRTCATDEF,SCOT settings have been done and When i try to test the alerts , alerts are reaching alert inbox but not to mail. And also in alert long text container variables are missing I have been requested my basis team to implement sap note 835031. What exact cause for this could any body explain me. Want to cleanup SOST Mail list (Sent, ERROR)

Hi Experts,
I want to delete all SOST mail list which has been SENT and ERROR status in my SAP CRM system.
because each mail contain 2.5 Mb and we run campaign time to time with a lirg number of recipient around 40-50 thousand.
So it's unnecessarily taking space in my database.
Is there any report to run cleanup of ERROR/SENT/EXPIRED mail list in SOST.
workaround : I can manually select and delete all from list.
So can anyone help me to cleanup these Mails using any Report.

You can use below reports for deletions;
RSSODELT or RSSODELA: but both reports are used to delete the complete SAP-Office messages.
RSBCS_REORG: This will allow you to select a date range as well as other filters.

CCMS - Alert for Email-Errors in the SOST

Hello everybody,
is there a way to set an Alert in the CCMS for checking Email sent with errors from the transaction SOST?
We´ve also connected an externe Fax Programm: this service is build over a RFC and functions successfully. We´d like to check all faxes with errors in the CCMS Monitoring, too.
In our SCOT the Node for the SAPConnect was already activated:
- Utilities - Alert Monitoring - Start Data Collection Method:
Data collection method for SAPconnect ran with no errors.
Now i can see it:
- Utilities - Alert Monitoring - Display - SAPConnect.
Into my custom Monitor i´ve put a MTE SAPconnect node, with name:
- ACTIVE
RFC system error: Function SMON_COMP_STATE_RETRIEVE is not available
What does this error mean? How can i easy configure the monitoring of the SOST?
Do i have to create a custom or is there any method which i can use as analyse method for the checks of the sapconnect?
PS: the same error appears also if as test i send one fax to a false address: this isn´t the error that i expected to receive.

Not implemented Steps: B, E (autoreaction method not needed for this alert at the moment), F.
I have also created a analyse method with name SOST and assigned to the node.
But after starting the Data collection method for SAPconnect i see in CCMS the alert error:
RFC system error: Function SMON_COMP_STATE_RETRIEVE is not available
I didn´t send any fax or email yet, i´m still by the the configuration...
Where does this error come from?
