Sostituzione ram macbook

Salve
grazie;)

i want to upgrade RAM Macbook pro 2.4 quad , can i put 16 GB or only 8 GB as recommended?

No problems, go ahead, I'm doing it too, when the price for 16GB  comes down a wee bit more.

  • Why is my 8gb ram macbook is slow when using the internet compared to my old laptop?

i just purchased my macbook last week and i've noticed that using the internet has been quite bad at home. It seems to run pretty fast when using my schools wifi however it just doesn't make sense that my old laptop would still run faster than my new 8gb ram macbook. My internet plan is with telstra -50gb ADSL modem and it promises speeds up to 20 mbps and i'm only getting 4.11 mbps...

Hold down the option key and select the Wi-Fi menu in the menu bar. What values are shown for the following?

  • Need more than 4GB of RAM Macbook

I have an early Macbook Pro 13" (2011) w/ a 2.7Ghtz Processor and 4GB 1333 of DDR3  Ram and I'm wanting to upgrade to 8GB of ram or more if possible.  It's showing it's not available for my machine when I looked on the apple site.  Does this mean I'm stuck w/ what I have?  I would hope that I can upgrade my ram on my laptop instead of having to buy a whole new computer.  Any pros out there that can help what I think is a simple question to you experienced Mac guys.

    It is capable of:
    Maximum Memory
16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory Slots
    2 - 204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
    Good sources for memory are:

  • Is 1GB RAM Macbook + Intel GMA 950 graphics card enough to play WoW ???

im thinkin to buy macbook, but im not sure is it enough to play WoW or not ?? has any1 tried to play WoW in macbook ?? is it lagging or not ??
    please reply. Thx

I installed WoW on my daughters MacBook white 2.0 GHz today. I bought it from the local Apple reseller and paid for 1 GB of RAM - instead of putting in 2x512 sticks, they took out 1 of the 256 MB sticks and inserted a 1 GB, so the machine has 1.256 GB of unmatched RAM - this may have an effect on the graphics performance, I'm not sure.
Anyway - frame rates at full resolution and using the default video options gives about 25 fps inside an inn, and about 12 fps outside. Running across a bridge or doing something else that puts a lot of changing detail on the screen can cause the fps to drop to around 10. The game is quite playable, though I haven't tried a raid with it. Changing the screen resolution will increase the fps. Changing to 1152 wide increases the fps by about 50%, while changing to 1024 wide will about double it.
At 1024 wide, the fps is about the same as on my 1.25 GHz PowerBook running at 1280 wide.

  • Why is only 2.73 Gb of RAM usable on a 4 Gb RAM MacBook on Windows 7 32 bit

I understand that with the video card (which is 256 mb of dedicated RAM on this model) I should have ~3GB of RAM usable on 32 bit version of windows 7. (Yes it is legal, which seems to be the first question in this discussion)
Is there something else in the equation that I am missing?
    1. 32-bit only applies to RAM over 4 gb and since this is bootcamp, it is not running another operating system.
    2. Unless there is something within the hardware of my macbook that is only able to use 3 Gb I apologize for my ignorance, it's not really a serious issue but I could almost swear that I had more memory usable on my windows 7 partition at one point in time.
    Thanks in advance

  • I want to upgrade my ram macbook pro 15'' without retina to 16gb and want more than 1600 hz

I have a Mac book Pro 15 inch without retina I wish to upgrade the RAM 4 GB to 16GB and I want to putting a ram with more speed then 1600 GHz can someone please tell me what is the maximum and if possible where can I buy it from it has to be compatible with my mac or else it's pointless.
    Regards Axl

Sorry, read the post as with retina.
    Standard RAM:
    4 GB
    Maximum RAM:
    16 GB*
    Details:
4 GB of RAM is installed as two 2 GB modules, no slots free. *Apple officially supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM, but third-parties have determined that this model actually is capable of using up to 16 GB of RAM with two 8 GB memory modules. In the US (and many other countries), site sponsor Other World Computing sells memory -- as well as other upgrades -- for this MacBook Pro.

The link you posted is compatible RAM and from a reputable company. I bought my 2 X 8 GB modules from crucial when I upgraded my MBP RAM to 16 GB.
    Go with that kit.
Note that DDR3 1600 MHz RAM is the only type of RAM your machine takes.

  • Vram HD4000 before upgrade ram macbook pro

Hello! Today I upgraded the ram in my macbook pro 15 "late 2012 (i7 2.3 ghz) bringing it to 16GB. Ram is Samsung 1600MHz. Vram I have noticed, however, that the HD4000 is not increased to 768MB (as it should be 4gb ram = 386mb vram, 8gb ram = 512mb vram; 16gb = 768MB vram.) What can I do about this "problem" does anyone know anything? (sitema is the mountain lion aggornato latest version).
    Thank you.

The video memory (Vram) on any Intel integrated graphics is dynamic meaning that the amount allocated is dependant on  :
The amount of total memory installed in the machine ie 2Mb, 4Mb etc
The program being used and how graphically demanding it is.
Thus the machine will allocate anything from 64 Mb upto 768Mb, you as the user can not normally change this.
(This is the same for Windows machines with Intel graphics)

  • Want to upgrade from 4mg RAM to 8mg RAM MacBook Pro mid 2012

I want to upgrade my MacBook Pro (13" mid 2012, 2.5GHz, Intel Core i5) from 4mg RAM to 8mg RAM. Running Mavericks. Any suggestions on which brand name RAM I should consider?
Do I need to go to an Apple Store to get my RAM put in (quite far for me) or is it okay to go to a place like Future Shop or Best Buy? Should I attempt it myself?
    I found this thread:

2 sticks is the norm. Crutial is recommened because it is known to work properly, as well as having support. I have read of instances of problems with other suppliers. Try pricing it from Apple.

  • Black screen after upgrading ram (macbook pro late 2007)

    Dear Community,
I am willing to donate 100 USD to anyone who is willing/able to provide concrete resolution to this problem.
I am a professional freelance videoeditor and my job is currently stucked due to inability to boot my macbook pro again.
After upgrading the RAM of my MBP (late 2007 model, 17'' display, Intel 2.4GHz Dual Core processor), the screen went black and the system did not boot any more.
    I tried to replace the orginal 2 x 1GB DDR2 533 CL=5 SODIMM (single rank) with 2  X 2GB DDR2 800 CL=6 SODIMM (dual ranks).
After the memory upgrade, the system was restarted, I heard a short beep, but the macbook showed a black screen instead of booting properly. The mainboard was powered, the fan was moving. I saw a green led turned on on the center of one side of the macbook.
I tried to mount the previuos 2 x 1GB DRAM SODIMMs, but nothing happened. The system keeps not booting even with the original memory.
I tried already several procedures suggested by the user manual, related to SMC Intel controller reset (with battery and without battery and charger), but those were not effective in restoring the normal operation of the macbook. The system keeps not booting with exactly similar issues (black screen, fan on, short beep after power-on, green LED on).
I also tried to swap the memory DIMMs into the memory sockets. I tried to use a different combination with 1 NEW 2GB and 1 OLD 1GB  DIMM. But the problem is still there with similar sympthoms.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE OF HOW TO SOLVE THIS?

My best guess is that you have fried the RAM with static electricity charged up in your body. According to OGELTHORPE a beep on startup is because of no RAM, if when installing you did not do it correctly, you could have fried the RAM, which then your mac will not recognize it. The same with the old RAM, if you tried to re-install it and didn't pull up your sleeve and rest your arm on the inside of the chassis, then it is fried, or if you didn't wear an ESD band and connect it to the the chassis, then it is fried.
Seen as though you can't startup your mac, I can't say to do an AHT, buy some new ram, and start with the lowest one you can, so its cheap for ya use a different company incase is that;) Crucial.com is really good, I got an 8gb upgrade from 2gb. Let me tell you, it's great!
    Reply back;)

  • 2GB or 4GB RAM Macbook Air

I want to buy a new Macbook Air, I was planning to buy the 4GB model, but there is a great deal in a nearby store for a 2GB model and now I don't know what to do.
The 'great deal' is a Macbook Air 13" 2GB RAM but with a 256GB SSD and a 1,86GHz processor for €1249 and you get a JAMO I200 white iPod system (worth €155) for free, which is something I don't really need, but I can use it.
The model I was planning to buy was the standard 13", 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1,7GHz for €1203 (I'm a student so I get the student price)
I will use the MBA for Safari, music on iTunes, Mail, text editing (microsoft office and iWork), ... This won't happen a lot, but I will sometimes use it to edit pictures with iPhoto or maybe Aperture. So I won't be doing heavy video editing or something like that. I'm a modal student who wants a new macbook for basic stuff.
So my question is, should I buy the 2GB version with a better processor and bigger SSD + the iPod speaker, or should I buy a 4GB RAM version but with less SSD and a 1,7GHz processor?
    Thanks.

Caution: the MacBook Air with the 1.86 GHz processor has probably a previous generation (late-2010) Core2Duo CPU. 2 GB RAM is also a bare minimum. You'll get more lifetime out of your Air with 4 GB of RAM.
The mid-2011 MacBook Air has a Core i5 processer, which at 1.7 GHz is considerably faster than, e.g., an 2,13GHz Core2Duo CPU (i5 CPU supports 4 virtual cores, and has a faster memory bus than the previous generation Air). The new MacBook Air also has improved power management and efficiency (i.e. it runs less hot when displaying multimedia, or doing some more heavy computing).
If you need to save money, check out "Apple Certified Refurbished" on the Apple Store web site of your country. The refurbished Oct 2010 13"-model (2.13 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD), e.g., is currently €1199 (incl. tax) in the German web store.
