  • Sound bar with iPhone dock at reasonable price?

I'm looking for a sound bar/home theater system for my girlfriend that she can also put her iPhone into for music. Looking to keep it under $300... Any suggestions?

I've installed the iLive and it's horrible. Every time I've set it up has been for TV use and not for ipod use though.
I bought my mom the Kicker iK501 for Christmas and it's amazing! It actually has it's own passive subwoofer. I would highly recommend it.
If you're looking more for a surround sound you would probably looking at a home theater in a box, especially to keep it within the $300 price range. The samsung HT-D5300 is a little over your price range, but it can also play blu-ray discs.

  • SOUND BAR SUDDENLY DISSAPEAR

It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iPhone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named:  com.apple.iapd.plist  is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.

Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem, clean again with small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol. If still problem, and if there is Warranty or AppleCare take or send to Apple for resolution.

  • I would like to play music from my iphone 5s on a sound bar with an iphone 3 dock. Is there an adapter available that will play audio please?that will play audio please

I would like to play music from my iphone 5s on a sound bar with an iphone 3 dock. Is there an adapter available that will play audio please?

The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent  licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
    and charge a minimal price

    Hi @clrknt30
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your sound volume keeps automatically adjusting on you, normally upward. I am happy to help with this, and I did some digging looking for a possible cause.
A fix to try is, to go into the Control panel
    then Hardware and Sound
then click on Sound and select the Communications tab
Select the option  "Do nothing" then Apply
Let me know if this works for you.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Sound only works on dock

I've been having the sound problem on my iphone 4s for about a week now. The sound bar shows nothing. I can only hear sounds when I have the headphones plugged in and when the phone rings. But i cannot hear apps and music. I saw a post on another board that you can try to put in on an ihome dock and press play and then the volume bar will come back. So, i tried that. the volume bar did come back for about 10 seconds and then disappeared. The keyboard clicks were back and the sound played through the speakers. I am completely baffled as to what to do. I went to the Genius bar and they told me that the water indicator was red in the headphone jack. To me that didn't make sense b/c that's the only place I COULD hear sound. He said that there was nothing for them to do other than to replace the phone for $199 or try to have them fix it (I am 2 months out of warranty). I've cleaned the dock, ports, every knook and cranny i could find on the phone, stuck everything i could find into every orifice of the phone and still no sound.
is there anyone who has any suggestions as to why it only works on the dock and with headphones?

The Geniuses usually won't steer you wrong, but no one's perfect.
Try double clicking home to bring up the multitasking bar. Swipe to the right twice. There should be a volume bar. Adjust it the way you like.
Also, make sure the Volume Limit setting isn't on. Check in Settings > Music
If none of that works, I can't help.

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

The Apple-Supporter told my to reinstall my OS X. Crashed. I´ll start a complete new installation today.

  • Would Toshiba SBX4250 Sound Bar work in Europe?

I am moving to Europe pretty soon. Just wondering if SBX4250 sound bar would work there (220v / 50Hz) without a transformer.

Is this a new hard drive or a used hard drive with someone else's operating system on it (from an iBook G4, perhaps)?
You likely need to use an OS Install disc or the Restore CD's that originally came with the iBook to Erase and Install and/or Restore the OS and applications to make it compatible with your G3 iBook. When erasing, choose to format the hard drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
    Good luck.

  • How to setup a sound bar on LED TV 42SL417U

So I've been trying to figure out how to setup a sound bar that uses AUX Left and Right cables onto my LED TV 42SL417U. I've been trying to connect the cables into every possible port on the TV and nothing works. What do I do???

    Hi -
What make/model of sound bar are you trying to connect?
The only "outputs" for sound to an external device from this TV are the Optical and HDMI connections. Page 18 and 19 of the Owners Manual talk about connecting to an external audio source.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do i fix the sound on an iPhone 4S? When i play music the sound bar at the bottom disappeared and when i try to adjust sound with the buttons on the side, nothing happens. Also the sound in my apps is not working.

The sound isn't working. And it also does not appear, when i try to adjuct it with the buttons the sound bar doesn't appear and when i try playing music at the bottom the sound bar disappeared. How do I fix this?

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  Have you gone through ALL of these troubleshooting steps?
If you have gone through all the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

  • Problem connecting Apple TV2 to projector when passing through Sony Sound Bar

I'm having problems getting my Apple TV2 to work now that I'm passing it through my new Sony HT-CT150 Sound Bar to my Epson Megaplex Projector MG-850 (720p) Projector. I keep getting a "Not Supported" error on my projector - as opposed to a "No Signal" error which is what happens if I was to unplug the Apple TV.
My HDMI cables are all new and latest specs. I can connect the Apple TV directly to projector with either cable and it works fine. I have a 6 ft HDMI connecting the Apple TV to one of the Sony Sound Bar's 3 HDMI inputs and then a 40 ft. HDMI running from the sound bar's HDMI out to the projector's single HDMI input. Oddly, if I reverse the cables, it seems to work. Same two cables - just switching which one is connected to the Apple TV and which is connected to the projector. (I need the length to get to where my projector is positioned. Though I might be able to get by with a 30 ft. cable if length might be the issue.)
Anyway I think it must have something to do with the HDMI handshake or the lenth of the cables but don't know enough about it and have no idea why switching which cable comes first would fix the problem.

Ok,  I will ask the question in another way... My apple tv has one hdmi, and it goes to my hd projecter.. But projecter has no speakers, and as a result I've no sound at the moment. I am looking for a clear direction to go in, to solve lack the of any sound.. My only option seems to be, using the optical out from the apple tv.. I don't have  any equipment with this conecter. And I've never used optical before..   If i buy an, optical to twin phono converter and then I can plug into a large powered speaker I've got in my living room. And I will have big sound easily..?? Do I have any other reasonable options for optical enabled speakers, or AirPlay speakers or something simple I'm not aware of that will give me sound easily.. I don't want a messy 5:1 system, my house is very tidy, and I want to keep it that way. .  Only having this optical out is frustrating, and I need to get my head round the options I have.   Anyone understand from experience how to use the optical apple tv out.  Also, not  using anything but apple tv, no dvds, or tv , just apple tv and my ipad.. Is very quiet in my home right now though.  Ric

  • MacBook Pro to Samsung sound bar Bluetooth not connecting

    Hello all,
I recently purchased a Samsung sound bar with bluetooth connectivity. I can connect my iPhone 5s to it and stream music with no problem. But when I try to connect my MacBook Pro, it simply connects and promptly disconnects. I have tried shut down, restart, and even unplugging the battery on the MacBook with no luck.
I am running OSX 10.9.3 with all available updates.
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks,
    Jerry

Same here I'm using a Samsung HW-H550 Sound Bar - Connect's with iPhone/iPad on IOS 7.1.1 on my Mac Book Pro Retina OS X 10.9.3. Having no joy even went down the root of deleting the Bluetooth Pref file  didn't work either.
Looking forward to any workable solution
