Lidmoore,
Welcome to the forum.
IMO...
That doesn't sound like a normal sound bar.  Sounds way more sinister.
Try a different browser.
Try Firefox - put NoScript and every other security addon on it, then surf the rocky seas.

  • My ht-ct80 sound bar keeps turning itself off every 15min.

4 days ago I bought a htct80 sound bar and it keeps turning itself off every 15min. I serched the internet for a solution to no avail. So I need a answer from sony. Its a great sound bar while its on. Please give me a solution or i will have to take it back for a refund this weekend. If anyone else is having this ptoblem. And i know there are many please reply to this post. The more that reply the more likely we will get a rwsponse from sony.

    Hello everyone,
The Sound Bar turning off every 15minutes is related to the Auto Standby function due to the Sound Bar not receiving an input signal.  Unfortunately, there are two conditions where the sound bar will recieve a low input signal that results in the Auto Standby triggering incorrectly.
The first case is when the TV’s headphone jack serves as an audio output jack.  This is not a recommended method for Audio Input for the Soundbar.  If you are using this method, check the TV’s audio output settings. For details, refer to the TV’s operating instructions.  If you can not change audio output setting, set up TV volume which is strong enough to prevent it from entering Standby mode.
The second case is when you are using a set-top box (Cable box) that has a volume setting.  You can either change the Audio Settings on the set-top box for Fixed Audio Out (if available) or increase the volume on the set top box(Cable box) to maximum setting and then adjust the volume on the Sound Bar itself to obtain the desired actual volume.
    Thank you,
    ---Chris

  • How can I connect my new LG Sound Bar NB 3531A with my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 via Bluetooth

    Hey,
bought a new sound bar and want to connect it to my MacBook Pro. When start pairing an error shows up telling me to check the Bluetooth range and so on. When I try to connect without a code (0000) there is a connection but it´s not possible to use the bar as a stereo headset in the bluetooth menue.
The Sound Bar should be ready to play because I can use it with my iPhone and on Win-notebooks.B
There are no system-updates availabe and I´m using OSX 10.8.4. Can someone help?
    Best wishes from Germany
    HolliHollsen

It seems that my bluetooth driver crashed or anything. Tried it with an other MacBook and worked fine. Called the Apple- and LG-Support.
The Apple-Supporter told my to reinstall my OS X. Crashed. I´ll start a complete new installation today.

  • HP Webcam interfering with internet

I'm getting a little frustrated with this problem. I recently purchased an HP Webcam, and it works perfectly fine on my computer, but everytime I plug it in to my USB port it completely kills my internet access. I can record videos on say Windows Movie Maker and such, but there's absolutely no way for me to get online. I'll be working in Firefox, it'll switch to offline mode, and when I turn it back on it completely fails. I tried it using a Wireless connection instead of an Ethernet connection and the internet STILL fails. I'll go to my Thinkvantage Access Connections and click 'Find Networks' and it'll say the wireless radio is powered off, and when I click 'on' nothing happens. When I try to connect to any connection it fails instantly. This always happens right after I plug it into the USB and the computer beeps a few times, so right after it installs itself.
The most obnoxious part is that everytime this happens I can't just restart my computer; I have to go to Safe Mode and use System Restore points to go back to a point where I didn't have the camera for my internet to work agian. I'm running a Thinkpad computer.
I'm honestly about to give up as I've looked online for ages and no one can give me an answer. Might as well go to a Mac at this point where things don't fail miserably like this. Still, any advice would be much appreciated. I'm guessing the installation of the camera software is interfering with my wireless radio / internet settings. Unfortunately I don't have the computer skills to fix whatever is going wrong.

I would start with a reboot of the router (cycle power) and then a reboot of the printer (off and on).
If that does not change things, try this:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front panel of the printer (under Network Setup).
    - On there you will see the printer's IP address.
    - Type that address into a browser which will reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking Tab, then Wired along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - Click Manual IP radio button, enter the IP address, the Subnet (255.255.255.0) and leave the rest blank.
Now reboot the router and printer, try your internet connection again.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Linksys WTR160N not keeping connection with internet

I just bought a Linksys WTR160N Broadband router and tried to connect with comcast modem Arris. Keep losing connection. Called linksys tech and he said it was my network card but when i connect direct to the modem it works fine. I bought a new linksys network N card for my laptop and it has the same problem. I am direct connected right now and has worked fine. HELP

Try to readjust the wireless settings on your router...
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Reduce the MTU size to 1300 under setup..and Click on save settings.
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
    - Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
    Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • HP Smart Web Printing interfering with Internet Explorer

Hello - I have a new dv7-4183cl notebook and I just added a new Photosmart C310 wireless printer. When I added the printer, I installed all of the programs included on the installation disc. Since then, I'm having a very annoying problem with the mouse pointer changing from the typical arrow to the precision select crosshair within the active window of Internet Explorer (not on the address bar, toolbars, bottom taskbar). The effect seems entirely random, but once the pointer changes to the crosshair, it does not change back and I am unable to select anything on the page with left clicks. I have to close the page and open another. If I have multiple tabs, some tabs will be fine and some will not. I also have Safari installed and the problem isn't there so it seems linked just to IE.
When the crosshair is on the screen, I can hilight a rectangular section and a small box pops up saying "clip.." and "print.." So, just to see what happens, I selected clip and it brought up a pane on the left side of the screen for HP Smart Web Printing. I hadn't used this, but it seems to be the culprit because it is randomly turning itself on (so to speak). I've looked through the preferences, but can't find a way to turn it off.
Has anyone had such an issue? Should I try to uninstall teh Smart Web Printing? Is there an update from HP? It is an annoyance, but enough of one that I would return the associated printer and choose another brand if there were no resolution possible. Thank you and happy New Year to all.

Yes, I had the same problem and I found out it is due to the HP software HP Smart Web Printing.  If you uninstall that program the crosshair pointer will not show up anymore.

  • New Time Capsule interferring with internet signal

My previous setup works perfectly.  This previous setup is as follows:
older 1 TB TC connected to Bell 2Wire modem/router (2701HG-G in bridge mode)
Ethernet connection to iMac (2014 running Yosemite) works well
WIFI throughout the rest of the house works perfectly
When I swap the older TC with my new 2TB TC, the internet signal is no longer available.  Airport utility sees the Time Capsule, but indicates that there is no internet signal (the globe is amber).  The new time capsule is slowly flashing amber.  The Bell 2Wire still indicates it is receiving an internet signal (appropriate lights all green on the 2Wire).  I have rebooted everything multiple times.  IMac Network Assistant unable to assist.
So in summary, everything works until I connect the new TC.  When I disconnect it and reconnect my older TC, everything returns to normal and I have a functioning network.  How do I fix this so that I can use the new Time Capsule?

No, you have one modem.. and one router in a network.. although you can fudge and have two routers.. and suffer double NAT as a result.. you cannot whatever you do have two modem.. that is impossible. As soon as you plug a second adsl modem into the phone line the first will stop working and the second can never start.
There is a half way solution .. if the 2wire offers DMZ, (by default it does but what Bell has done to it.. who knows).. You can double NAT but all packets are passed from modem router to the TC. it is not ideal but can help the worst of the double NAT effect.
But I think it is simply better to use the TC in bridge..
There is an alternative however which I use.. see the write up here.
Re: airport time capsule keeps disconnecting
This changes the TC from a dumb bridge to actually intelligent handling of the network.. but no routing. It will work well in my experience.
To get the express going you need to reset it to factory and start over.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro - previous output settings in a batch process keep interfering with new one

I created a batch process for pdf/a conversion.  For the output setting, I unchecked the "overwrite" box and added a suffix to the file name.
When I deleted one and recreated a different one, it is still appending that old suffix to the file name and overwriting the old file.
Even though I uninstalled and reinstalled the software (Acrobat 9 Pro), the batch processes I had created before were still there, hence the problem remains.
How do I delete these files so I can start over?  Tech support didn't solve the problem and having a hard time getting through.
    Doran

    Hi,
User created *.sequ files are stored:
    Vista –
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Sequences
    XP –
    C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\<6.0> or <7.0> or 8.0> or <9.0>\Sequences
It may be worth a search for all *.sequ files on the HDD to be sure you know where all of them are.
Sounds like old ones were not removed by uninstall & with re-install, Acrobat is picking them up.
    Be well...

  • Firewall interfering with Internet Sharing?

Hello -- I have an iMac (let's call it "iMac 1") physically connected to a cable modem, and, using Internet Sharing on that machine, I can connect to it via AirPort with another iMac ("iMac 2") and access the internet without any problems. However, when I activate the firewall on iMac 1, I can no longer access the internet with iMac 2. I know it's a good idea to use the firewall. What should I be doing differently in order to make this work?
    Thanks,
    Dieter

You may want to ask this question in the Tiger forums (Getting Online and Networking). I had a look there just now, and there is a bit of discussion about Internet sharing and firewall use. I did not find anything directly on point, but then again I did not look through each discussion on the issue. Some of the posts seemed to suggest that perhaps you could not have the firewall enable on you iMac 1, or that to do so, you need to open certain ports to share the connection with iMac 2. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance.

  • WAG200G and Samsung pc interfering with internet radio's

I have a netwerk with Linksys WAG200G (annex B (=ISDN version)) router and some 15 pc's and internet radios, mainly oxx.
Yesterday I installed a new all in one PC, namely a Samsung ativ one 5 style, a kind of iMac but much cheaper.
All went allright but for one thing. If my Samsung was on all my internet radios started oscillating / continuously rebooting / continuously restarting as soon as a music station was playing which thus played not longer than 1 to 3 seconds. If my Samsung was off. All my internet radios worked fine as before. My guess for the nature of the problem was: interference.
If you google on interference you will find that you may have to change the channel on which the router works. I already had that optimised but I checked again using INSSIDER and trying various channels. No change.
Further, I think that I somewhere (possibly in a post on this forum!)  have read that interference problems might decrease by changing the mode of the router from "Mixed" (which means G- and B-mode) to "G-mode only".  This post is to inform you that I think that that did the tric and solved the problem. Samsung on or off, all my radios work fine.
PS Another suggestions was to use "B-mode only" since that should slower things which might improve. My pc's and radios worked fine on it but the interference problem was not gone. By the way, since B-mode is a more or less obsolete mode, you miss nothing by changing to "G-mode only" I guess.

I was able to listen to Internet radio stations until I installed the latest software update.  Then got spinning gear wheel saying loading radio stations. Rebooted by using the menu and down buttons at the same time.  Now get list of radio stations, including my favorites, but when I try to play one, get message "Cannot access Internet Ra dio Stations"

  • Cordless telephone interfering with internet connection

Each time an associate uses a cordless phone in my office, I lose my Airport Express internet connection. A friend suggested we change the channel of the phone. Unfortunately, the phone does not have this option. Anyone know of another fix I can try?

Hello seaport. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
Try changing the channel on the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) itself. By default, it's set to Automatic. Try 1, 6, or 11 to see which one works best.
If your Associate's cordless phone runs on the 2.4 GHz band, then it is very possible that you may have some form of Wi-Fi interference that is preventing you from getting a good clean signal.
I suggest you perform a simple site survey, using utilities like KisMAC, MacStumbler, iStumbler, or IPNetMonitorX to determine both the channels other Wi-Fi networks are using in your area and for any additional areas of interference...and then, try to either eliminate or significantly reduce them.

  • How do I remove Comodo Secure DNS in Firefox? It keeps interferring with and stops me going to websites I want to see.

I originally installed Comodo as a Firewall but then uninstalled it as I found it very annoying with the Comodo Secure DNS redirecting and stopping me going to websites I choose to go to ... the last time was for weebly.com. The firewall uninstalled OK but the Secure DNS is still active and I can't find where to disable it and remove the code.

Hello mirth27, seek if exist something from comodo in Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, and remove it.
then you can seek in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Registry registry] to delete everything related to comodo, Start > type '''regedit''' into the search area > hit enter > click Yes if prompted by UAC . You are now in registry editor, go to File > Export , to make a copy of your registry in a case something goes wrong, the go to Edit > Find > type '''comodo''' and you have all the keys the program created and not deleted by uninstalling the comodo firewall, now you have to delete every key related to comodo............'''not so easy''' i think !

I recently purchased a Samsung sound bar with bluetooth connectivity. I can connect my iPhone 5s to it and stream music with no problem. But when I try to connect my MacBook Pro, it simply connects and promptly disconnects. I have tried shut down, restart, and even unplugging the battery on the MacBook with no luck.

Has anyone else had this problem?
    Thanks,
