SOUND BAR SUDDENLY DISSAPEAR
It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iPhone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named: com.apple.iapd.plist is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.
Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem, clean again with small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol. If still problem, and if there is Warranty or AppleCare take or send to Apple for resolution.

Sound bar in IPad3 dissapeared?
Hello everybody. The sound bar in my IPad2 has dissapeared. At first it happened from time to time but now and I believe that this is something that have to be with any update has dissapeared. Can somebody help me?
Hi @clrknt30
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that your sound volume keeps automatically adjusting on you, normally upward. I am happy to help with this, and I did some digging looking for a possible cause.
A fix to try is, to go into the Control panel
then Hardware and Sound
then click on Sound and select the Communications tab
Select the option "Do nothing" then Apply
Let me know if this works for you.

Why is it that my iPhone 4 suddenly lost the sound bar in music and YouTube? I am able to make phone calls and hear everything just fine. but otherwise my iPhone is silent. It says that it is playing music, but no sound is emmitted, nor am I able to change this.
Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on. -
Sound bar dissapear in dock?
when I put the ipod in the sound dock bose I can't see the sound bar so I couldn't hear.
Does Sony say the dack with work with your model iPod and its iOS?
Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
Does the LG 300 W Smart Sound Bar support my iPod nano?
Does the LG 300 W Smart Sound Bar support iPod nano?
I've tried to connect my iPod to the LG Sound Bar several times. I'll suddenly get connection then lose connection. Sometimes I get an error message that reads connection fails, make sure the Sound Bar is in range.

Macbook pro will not pair with Vizio sound bar.
Macbook will not pair with Vizio sound bar. It has paired and worked fine in the past. in the menu bar at the top of the screen it says it is connected but it is not. when I open the bluetooth preferences and try to pair it says pairing failed. any help would be great. thanks.
Me too. sigh
All was well until this afternoon, when I swapped out the batteries on my trusty old Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth, which has worked flawlessly for me for a few years now. After I put new batteries in, my MBP wouldn't recognize it. I went through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, and it "saw" the mouse and properly listed it as "Microsoft Mouse". I hit "continue", of course, and the Assistant said "Pairing with your Bluetooth mouse". It got as far as "Connection established" (and I saw the mouse appear in the Bluetooth preference pane", but then I got the dreaded red words: "The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. Make sure your mouse is in range of this computer, turned on and "discoverable." Etc., etc. I made sure of all of those things and tried again, many times, with the same failure every time. I tried different batteries, rebooted the Mac, and so on. No luck.
Figuring my mouse was dead, I went out and bought a Kensington Slimblade Bluetooth Presenter Mouse, brand new, never been paired with anything. Same problem!
Also, I can no longer get my Palm Treo 650 to sync via Bluetooth. It used to be a little flaky (often complained that the port was in use by another application), but rebooting the Treo always solved that. Now, it doesn't.
One trusty old mouse suddenly stops pairing, one brand-new one refuses to pair, smartphone won't sync any more. I haven't installed any system updates or anything else since the Microsoft mouse worked. The only weird thing going on is that I'm having massive network connectivity issues with my broadband connection (probably a flaky cable modem), and a couple of days ago I bought a new Airport Extreme a/b/g/n wireless router, which is at the other end of the house from my computer and now-defunct mice.
Very bizarre. Can the Bluetooth chip or antenna in a MacBook Pro burn out or otherwise fail?
Puzzled and frustrated,

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?
I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work). "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon. -
How can I connect my new LG Sound Bar NB 3531A with my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 via Bluetooth

There are no system-updates availabe and I´m using OSX 10.8.4. Can someone help?
Best wishes from Germany
HolliHollsenIt seems that my bluetooth driver crashed or anything. Tried it with an other MacBook and worked fine. Called the Apple- and LG-Support.
The Apple-Supporter told my to reinstall my OS X. Crashed. I´ll start a complete new installation today. -
I would like to play music from my iphone 5s on a sound bar with an iphone 3 dock. Is there an adapter available that will play audio please?
The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
and charge a minimal price -
Would Toshiba SBX4250 Sound Bar work in Europe?
I am moving to Europe pretty soon. Just wondering if SBX4250 sound bar would work there (220v / 50Hz) without a transformer.
Is this a new hard drive or a used hard drive with someone else's operating system on it (from an iBook G4, perhaps)?
You likely need to use an OS Install disc or the Restore CD's that originally came with the iBook to Erase and Install and/or Restore the OS and applications to make it compatible with your G3 iBook. When erasing, choose to format the hard drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Good luck. -
How to setup a sound bar on LED TV 42SL417U
So I've been trying to figure out how to setup a sound bar that uses AUX Left and Right cables onto my LED TV 42SL417U. I've been trying to connect the cables into every possible port on the TV and nothing works. What do I do???
Hi -
What make/model of sound bar are you trying to connect?
The only "outputs" for sound to an external device from this TV are the Optical and HDMI connections. Page 18 and 19 of the Owners Manual talk about connecting to an external audio source.
Hope this helps. -
The sound isn't working. And it also does not appear, when i try to adjuct it with the buttons the sound bar doesn't appear and when i try playing music at the bottom the sound bar disappeared. How do I fix this?
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device. Have you gone through ALL of these troubleshooting steps?
If you have gone through all the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. -

Problem connecting Apple TV2 to projector when passing through Sony Sound Bar
I'm having problems getting my Apple TV2 to work now that I'm passing it through my new Sony HT-CT150 Sound Bar to my Epson Megaplex Projector MG-850 (720p) Projector. I keep getting a "Not Supported" error on my projector - as opposed to a "No Signal" error which is what happens if I was to unplug the Apple TV.
My HDMI cables are all new and latest specs. I can connect the Apple TV directly to projector with either cable and it works fine. I have a 6 ft HDMI connecting the Apple TV to one of the Sony Sound Bar's 3 HDMI inputs and then a 40 ft. HDMI running from the sound bar's HDMI out to the projector's single HDMI input. Oddly, if I reverse the cables, it seems to work. Same two cables - just switching which one is connected to the Apple TV and which is connected to the projector. (I need the length to get to where my projector is positioned. Though I might be able to get by with a 30 ft. cable if length might be the issue.)
Anyway I think it must have something to do with the HDMI handshake or the lenth of the cables but don't know enough about it and have no idea why switching which cable comes first would fix the problem.Ok, I will ask the question in another way... My apple tv has one hdmi, and it goes to my hd projecter.. But projecter has no speakers, and as a result I've no sound at the moment. I am looking for a clear direction to go in, to solve lack the of any sound.. My only option seems to be, using the optical out from the apple tv.. I don't have any equipment with this conecter. And I've never used optical before.. If i buy an, optical to twin phono converter and then I can plug into a large powered speaker I've got in my living room. And I will have big sound easily..?? Do I have any other reasonable options for optical enabled speakers, or AirPlay speakers or something simple I'm not aware of that will give me sound easily.. I don't want a messy 5:1 system, my house is very tidy, and I want to keep it that way. . Only having this optical out is frustrating, and I need to get my head round the options I have. Anyone understand from experience how to use the optical apple tv out. Also, not using anything but apple tv, no dvds, or tv , just apple tv and my ipad.. Is very quiet in my home right now though. MacBook Pro to Samsung sound bar Bluetooth not connecting
Hello all,
I recently purchased a Samsung sound bar with bluetooth connectivity. I can connect my iPhone 5s to it and stream music with no problem. But when I try to connect my MacBook Pro, it simply connects and promptly disconnects. I have tried shut down, restart, and even unplugging the battery on the MacBook with no luck.
I am running OSX 10.9.3 with all available updates.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
JerrySame here I'm using a Samsung HW-H550 Sound Bar - Connect's with iPhone/iPad on IOS 7.1.1 on my Mac Book Pro Retina OS X 10.9.3. Having no joy even went down the root of deleting the Bluetooth Pref file didn't work either.
Looking forward to any workable solution
