Sound Blaster 5.1 Windows 7 Ultimate 32 & 64 bit drivers

<Hi,
? I Installed Creative Sound Blaster 5. in my system, now i am using windows 7, when i am trying to install the Creative Inspire Drivers, it showing error and i can't acces the Creative sound Mixer. So, please help me to download the drivers for Windows 7.
Thank you in Advance.......

There are not now and never will be drivers for that card, it is just too old. The only way to get working drivers for it is to use either this,

or this,

P.S. That card is only 4.0/4., it is not a 5. card.

Hello!
I have a Sound Blaster Li've! 5. model SB000 with a Cambridge SoundWorks DTT3500. I haven't found any driver for my sound card that works with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.
Is there any compatible driver for my sound card and for Windows 7 64 bits?
If it's not, which creative's sound cards are compatible with my Cambridge SoundWorks DTT3500?
Thank you!

I recently answered about the same question:
If you?use Vista or Windows7, then there is no official driver. You can only use alternati've drivers like Vista Support Pack by Daniel_K or the one from KXProject (better). But if you have more than 2 gigs of memory installed or an x64 OS, then both drivers will be half-working (as far as I remember, Daniel's driver won't work with more than 2 Gb of memory installed in any OS, and with KX-driver there will only be a problem with MIDI playback with more than 2 Gb AND x64 Win7).

• Sound Blaster PCI causes Windows 98SE to hang at boot

ASUS P5VD-X motherboard, PentiumD805, GB RAM, 250GBHD, Win98 and XP Dual Boot, Ati Radeon 256 8x AGP.
Hi. After installing the standard old Sound blaster PCI card under Win98SE with the drivers disc and rebooting PC, Win 98 just hangs at the boot screen. I can still get into safe mode and have tried uninstalling PCI from add remove programs but unfortunately still cant get to load normally. I have the onboard SoundMAX audio which is still enabled in bios and?its drivers?installed on win98 so i guess i could use that instead of Sound Blaster if i could boot normally into win98. The is now removed from but win98 still hangs on boot up.
When i installed the SBPCI drivers disc and before i rebooted win98 before the crash i noticed that it placed windows media player icons on desktop. I have also tried uninstalling media player.
Interestingly i cant even get the bootlog option or command prompt to work at all it just freezes even though safe mode and safe mode command prompt only work.
I have tried restoring the registry with scanreg/restore to a week ago when there were no boot up problems. This however has still not resolved the boot up hang as soon as windows 98 logo appears.
Can anyone help?

A bunch of things are probably conflicting. The Creative cd seems to have installed WMP7 (later cd's might do that.)? Or possibly a version of WMP6. Your SoundMAX driver is conflicting with the Creative driver. 98 doesn't play well with 2 soundcards. You should have uninstalled the SoundMAX, deactivated it in the BIOS, then installed the Creative card and drivers. 98 can be trashed easily by this kind of thing. I would format (have all your drivers and program setup files saved to a cdr and remove all hardware except for keyboard, mouse and videocard) and install Windows. Install?all the optional Windows components you want from Add/Remove Windows Components tab and the Plus 98!?software if you have it. Then use the packages such as the Unofficial 98SE Service Pack and the Autopatcher Alpha .6 for Windows 98SE on msfn.org Windows 98SE Service Pack forum to update your system. That Autopatcher contains just about all the updates and the Service Pack (installed first) contains?some nice registry tweaks, 256 color tray icons, Windows 2000 color scheme,?nicer desktop icons, a cleaner Dialup Networking .4 install than Microsoft gives you, etc. Then install your hardware and drivers. Have your on board audio disabled in the BIOS from the start if you want to install a Creative card instead.

• S206 Windows 8 64-bit drivers: Not a smooth install

I've just taken the plunge for Windows 8 via the upgrade offer, but seeing as I already got a copy for my desktop PC with the 64-bit disc included, and that the S206 I bought came preinstalled with 4Gb of RAM (almost half of which is unusable in a 32-bit environment), I decided to boot from the 64-bit disc through an external USB DVD rewriter and install fresh. I had previously made sure that the Lenovo support site had Windows 8 64-bit drivers available.
Well, was I in for a shock.
First of all, practically every installer tried to extract to the C:\Drivers folder, dumping all the files in a single subfolder with no hierarchy. Then it tried to access the individual files from sub-subfolders which didn't exist. The only way I could get them to install was to create the folders it was missing as the error messages cropped up, dump a copy of the driver files into those folders, click retry, and repeat until it said it was done.
Secondly, the Catalyst drivers didn't find any graphics card. I downloaded the latest version from the AMD website, and that picked it up fine.
Thirdly, when I installed the audio driver, it said that the device I had was not the one that the drivers were intended for, and it would install generic drivers instead.
Fourthly, the Lenovo energy management program defaulted to the balanced profile which was the only one to totally disable the backlight to the LCD screen. Boy did that one take some time to sort out.
Fifthly, installing the wireless and Bluetooth driver seems to have not added in Bluetooth. I'm fairly sure it had Bluetooth to start with. The network adapter is still using the Microsoft driver.
Sixthly, the webcam does not appear in my devices list. Skype can't see it at all. Neither driver supplied on the website can actually find a device. I have just had the laptop back from repair due to a faulty keyboard, and I've not actually had a need to test it before now so I wonder if it maybe was left disconnected or maybe the camera in the screen frame is a dummy - I may have to restore the old Windows 7 operating system to check that...
Finally, when I tried to install the Synaptics touchpad drivers, clearly marked as 32 and 64 bit in a single installer, the installer told me it's not designed for a 64-bit system and told me to get the correct version from my vendor! The Synaptics website doesn't have Windows 8 drivers up yet.
So basically the default drivers leave the PC in a working condition but I currently have no Bluetooth, no webcam, I'm stuck on either high or low performance energy management, basic audio with no options, basic touchpad with no configuration.
So, for Lenovo: Your drivers leave a lot to be desired and need reviewing.
For other users: If you want to adopt 64-bit Windows 8, prepare to spend a lot of time fiddling with drivers.
For anyone with more knowledge than me: Can anyone suggest how I might get the above hardware fully functional?

After seeing that Lenovo have updated some of their installers, I decided to give it another go and see if I could get 64-bit Windows 8 on it.
First hitch, it was a bit of a struggle getting the computer to recognise the USB DVD drive. In the end I had to plug it into the USB2 port (The not-blue one), go into BIOS, save and exit and immediately go back into BIOS before it would be recognised as hardware.
It seems Lenovo overhauled all their installers, because they all extracted with the correct folder hierarchy. The only problem was with the "WLAN Driver and Bluetooth Driver (Ralink, Atheros)" (0swg11ww.exe) which totally failed to find the correct target installation executables after extraction. Also I'm sure this laptop had bluetooth connectivity but it didn't find any bluetooth hardware, but I'm not bothered too much about that as I use Logitech devices with unifying recievers anyway. When I finished installing them manually I checked on a tip-off I read elsewhere on these forums that the installer keeps the computer using the Microsoft driver, rather than switching to the Broadcom driver. I told it to change drivers (Some fiddling about in Device Manager) and it works fine.
Lenovo Energy Management still installs with the "Balanced" profile having zero backlight brightness, totally out-of-line with the other two profiles. I note that while the RSS feed says Lenovo Energy Management was updated on 29/11/2012, the download page says the latest version available is the initial 24/10/2012 release. Also the WLAN/Bluetooth driver was supposedly updated on 09/01/2013 but the download page says the latest revision was released on 09/12/2012, and when I installed the AMD Catalyst graphics drivers (supposedly v8.0.881.0) it actually installed the latest version (v12.10).
Clearly in the case of the Catalyst drivers the page hasn't been updated to reflect the updated driver release, but the on the other hand Lenovo Energy Management software doesn't appear to have been updated at all. At least I have a copy of all the install files now though, so I can tell if anything does change by inspecting file sizes.
The computer is now in as useable a state as I would like it however, and this time it was for the most part a fairly smooth install.

• How do I download Windows 7 64 bit drivers for my new MacBook Air (Mid 2011) from a Windows 7 PC?

How do I download Windows 7 64 bit drivers for my new MacBook Air (Mid 2011)? I have already formated the HD and preformed a clean install of Windows 7. Perhaps I did this too early. I have read I need to install the drivers from my OS X DVD, however, OS X Lion does not come on a DVD! I've also read that I can download OS X Lion from the App Store and burn it to a DVD, however, all I have are Windows PCs which don't support the Mac App Store.
Is there no way for me to download these drivers from a Windows PC?  I know they exist.  However, you are supposed to download them through Boot Camp in OS X when you are creating a new Windows 7 installation.  I'm I stuck?

I am pretty disappointed in the lack of documentation.
This is the Apple Support page for Boot Camp:
http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
No mention anywhere of Lion, of 4.0/4.01
In the past, 10.6.6+ was suppose to - and sometimes did - provide for a download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant program, in order to save them to flash or such (that should be about 1GB, too large for CD). Some macs req'd a USB-DVD or other driver that was needed pre-install of Winidows
You don't install Apple drivers until after Windows is installed otherwise,
It is possible for me, with a tower, to run w/o needing any drivers from Apple. But with laptops, mini, you do need some drivers from Apple for graphics, internet, wireless, SMC support.
And right now, loading any Apple support Tech Note articles is very very slow.
People keep asking why Apple can't post 3.0 or 4.0 like they do the updates. Only logic is to force t he download from inside OS X or from an OS X DVD. Otherwise would be here, and avoid all the trouble. they aren't of use on a PC, and any PC motherboard vendor does post their support software for download.

Just thought I mention from what the hp site shows for support for that model number the O/S is either Win8 x64 or Win7 x64 it doesn't mention Win7x86 aka 32bit on there.

• Is is possible to add Windows 6 64-bit drivers to a Windows 2003 print server?

We are having some trouble figuring a way in which to support network printing for Windows 7 64-bit machines that we are starting to intermittently put out in what, as of this moment, is still primarily a native XP 32-bit environment.  Our concern has been that, if we replace the drivers on the print server to the Windows 7 64-bit drivers, then the XP machines will then pull down those drivers and then not be able to print any longer.  According to Microsoft, the way around this is to utilize the "Additional Drivers" area within the properites of the printer.  From there, in theory, you can add a new driver that uses "x64" as the print processor.  However, when we attempted to do this on our legacy Windows 2003 print server (which I believe to be 32-bit) we noticed that, in the "version area" of the selection for the x64 print processor, Windows 7 is not listed.  We then receive the following error message after we attempt to go forward and add the driver. . .
-Selected printer driver not found
The specified location does not contain the driver HP LaserJet 4050 Series PCL6 for the requested processor architecture
It looks to me that the problem is in that the server is Windows 2003 and we are attempting to make Windows 7 drivers work within that framework.  Can someone please confirm this suspician or instruct us further?
Thanks,
-Brian McKnight

Gotcha!!
I am done with mounting a secondary HDD (thanks to ifixit) and installing Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on it without a worry. Charm, charm!!
Boot Camp 5 guide prescribes all needed steps and when read and used correctly, installation must be an easy task. And all the existing apple hardwares work so good in the Windows environment too.
I am going to help out a friend of mine in doing a similar thing on his mac too. If you got specific questions, please do shoot up here and i should be able to get a reply to it (if at all).
Thanks everyone.

MY MACBOOK PRO IS 15" i7 4GB RAM Nvidia 512mb VRam.
Hey Everyone ,
Couple days ago i did installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. As Usual problems i had No wifi , red light at audiojack , Non Function keys were working ( Etc : Brightness key sound key and others ) so i was playing on Mac OS X Installation DVD and i found the way how to do install Drivers. Now i have all working Bluetooth Magic mouse trackpad wireless remote controll Nvidia Graphcard and others even light sensor
.Here is the way how i did it:
Be sure that your Windows is fully updated and the language is ENGLISH cause 1st i tried in my own language it was Turkish and it said update is not supported in your language.
* Fully Update your Windows 7 64 Bit
* Right click on your DVD and click open
* Go on drivers and open it
* Open D:\Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple\x64
* Install them 1 by 1 top to down.
Now we gonna do Sound and Wireless :
1st Sound :
Go to Program and Features and delete Realtek Audio.
after uninstallation go back to DVD again and follow path Boot Camp\Drivers
Click on Cirrus then click on CirrusAudioVista64.
Now we gonna do Wireless :
In same directory on MAC OS X DVD( Boot Camp\Drivers )open BroadCom folder and click on BroadComNetworkAdapterWin7_64bit. After Installation now you have the Wireless working !
Im sorry for bad english.

I hope that copying the contents while in Windows to a folder and navigating to specific drivers.... isn't a secret.
Some people will have to use Troubleshoot Compatibility (or change Properties on the installer).
OS X DVD( Boot Camp\Drivers )open BroadCom folder and click on BroadComNetworkAdapterWin7_64bit.
But not everyone even with that can get their Broadcom drivers working.

• Wierd issue with Sound Blaster Z and Windows 8.1

I have just started having an issue with my sound card. For the past year it has been working perfectly fine with no issues. There have been no recent changes to the computer, but within the past week, if I am in the middle of a game or listening to music, the computer will once a day lock up, I then have to restart the computer. After it restarts, the right speakers, and only the right will not work, Center, Subwoofer, and Left side speakers work 5.0. I then go the Sound Blaster Z-series control panel and re-enable the surround sound. At this point the Center and Subwoofer cease to work, but the right side works perfectly fine. After a couple of resets the center and subwoofer still do not work. I then have to go to the back of the computer and change the cable for the center / subwoofer from left most to the second left most (as looking at the back of computer from the top side). It will work fine this way with all speakers working, for roughly a day then it will lock up again. I have to go through the same process, but move the cable from the second left most to the left most output for it to work again. I tried for the past two days to troubleshoot by removing all the software and creative drivers. Same issue after reinstalling with a fresh driver set. Any help, because this is completely annoying.

Considering that there is already a ca0132 driver for linux, which was made to support chromebook pixel laptop. It should not be hard for creative to make that driver compatible with discrete cards and motherboards that make use of that chip. But Creative seriously dropped the ball on users and does not care about them. I do not understand this, because all previous creative cards are supported in linux. Steam OS and steam boxes are around the corner and Creative is missing a big opportunity.
