Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB prob

So, I purchased the upgrade and then it said that I should run a program named "MBsetup.exe" which I should have received but didnt, cant find it anywhere and I'm getting pretty pissed off by this now. Cant contact creative by email or download that setup anywhere else.
What do I do?

I have a sound blaster audigy advanced mb integrated junk () and a cheap labtec microphone. Why doesn't my microphone work in CS:S unless while ingame I unplug it then put it back in?

I think it's a software. I just ordered Dell E405 and upgraded to this option. However, the sound card in my laptop is a SigmaTel HD audio. There's no sign of any Creative Soundblaster in my laptop. If you're planning to order a Dell, don't upgrade to this option. Or if you really want to upgrade, make sure you talk to Dell IN DETAIL before you place your order.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced

I purchased a Dell 705 with Vista and had the software installed and it worked nicely. I sent that laptop back because I did not like Vista and wanted XP Pro SP2 but now Dell is telling me they can not sell anymore because it is not supported. Is that true? How can I go about getting for my Dell 705?running XP Pro SP2?Thank you,

What they are telling is total BS. What that is that you got is a software upgrade, not a hardware. Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB is a software that emulates your current Audio hardware only. So when you sent back your laptop, you should of kept the CD. THey are not sending you the CD anymore and you need the Key on the CD to activate the software. There is another post of someone who emailed creative and got a new key from them and they told him that the activaction was only good for 3 installs. The reason for this is because it is a software thats why you only get 3 installs. If it was a hardware, creative would have a bunch of angry people cause you?can only install the drivers for a hardware 3 times?...doesn't make any sense you know. I would never buy creative if that was true. So remember this is a software and not a hardware. So when you though you paid for?what you though was an?hardware upgrade, it was in fact only a software you were buying extra. CHEEZY!

  • Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Help

Hey guys, I was hoping maybe someone could help me... I have the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD driver but its only for 32-bit operating systems. I am running windows 7 64 bit and I was wondering if there are any 64 bit drivers around since I couldn't find any on google. If not, are they planning to release one anytime soon? Thanks for the help.

You know I did that and it worked. Thanks you.
I should mention that when I contiued the activation it failed to load giving an error saying no audio driver. So, I went to the Dell website and downloaded the sigmatel audio file, re-installed and it worked. However the saga continues as it only sees 2. speakers when I have a 5 speaker system and i can't figure out how to change that settings. I followed the help instruction but under the confiuration I am not given any option. so still some work to be done. I would have expected the process to be simpler, you really would need to be quite skilled to be doing all this tweaking, if you were a novice you'd be lost!

  • Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio??

I had this for my Dell XPS M70 on Vista but now that i've upgraded to windows 7 i can't find anything on this.
I tried to download the windows 7 driver("SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090") from creative's website but it says it does not detect any supported device on my computer.
Am I missing something else here?

I am unsure which driver to download for this sound card. Would it be simply the "Audigy Series" driver? This particular name is not mentioned in the supported cards.
The Audigy Advanced MB isn't a device, it is an application that makes your onboard sound sound better. Therefore, it doesn't have a "driver", the only drivers involved would be the driver for your onboard sound, which you need to get from Dell.
As for the application itself, it is my understanding that it's not ready for Vista yet, and I am currently trying to get an update on that situation.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy SE Driver Prob

I have a problem with Sound Blaster Audigy SE,
Im using newest from creative download site SBA_PCDRV_LB__04_006.exe drivers.
After I turn on a game like ut2004, fear combat, even dxdiag (sound test) or pause sound in music/movie player system stops reacting or process "System" uses 95-00% of my CPU.
After few tests I discovered with help of KrView (kernel view soft) that p7filt.sys uses such big ammount of cpu If in Speaker Settings, Bass Redirection and Subwoofer Gain (+5) is turned on. (5. speakers)
I installed a bit diffrent version of drivers (from cd and even later I tested SBSE7_XP_Jul2005 additional driver). But then Subwoofer Gain option isnt working at all
its written Subwoofer Gain (+0) and with sub gain +0 sound quality very poor like in AC97 audio.
Ive also checked friends sound card on my pc and also i've tested exactly same thing on other computer.
I have xp sp2 with updates, newest bios, directX, etc etc...

OK..first of all the Audigy SE lacks any form of hardware acceleration, so turning on features like bass boosting/sound post-processing etc. will take away a lot of CPU time. The file you mentioned just acts as a software real-time filter, although it should not go up to the point of bringing a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 to its knees.
The sound quality will be altered even with every "DSP" effect (quoted because there's no actual hardware DSP, it's just emulated in software) set to 0, as long as the "DSP is considered acti've.
That's because the sound output is first converted from the time domain to the frequency domain (in poor words, the continuous sound wave you hear is broken down in many different frequencies like in those 80s ghettoblasters spectrum analyzers) because it's easier to amplify bass/treble that way, and then converted back to time domain (in even poorer words, a continuous sound wave you can hear/record/playback).
It's obvious that doing that thing in real time has a CPU cost, and even more obvious that the procedure is lossy and the input will not be the same as the output even with no effect applied, as long as the this double conversion takes place.
If you really need bass boost, turn any sound processing on the card OFF, and use speakers which have it. Also, if the CPU usage is abnormally high, try updated or a specific older version of the drivers that has more reasonable CPU usage/doesn't have that bug.

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Recording Prob

I recently re-installed my audigy, and for some reason I cannot get any sound when I plug my guitar into the Line-In on the front. I check the recording/playback setting, and everything seems to be ok. I'm wondering if it might be a problem with the hardware. Any thoughts?

    Dee,
If the card came supplied with the PC, then you may need to contact Dell to get specific drivers or applications for it.
Is the card working correctly now? Is it listed in Device Manager, with no error messages? What did you use to reinstall, was it a CD, or a driver? If it was just a basic driver pack, then it's likely that doesn't include any extra applications.

    HI!
I encounter Installation problems with that file:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit XP and Windows Vista Pack .04.0077
I Use Vista 64Bit Ultimate and when I try to install this package I have an error message after my language selection. Is there a known issue for this
    Thanks!

Yes it is called trying to install the wrong driver for your card. Will work much better if you try installing the correct one,
    SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe
Also helps if you click on the "Show Details" link on the download page, then you would see that the one you tried to install doesn't support your card,
    Requirements:
Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS, or Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit audio devices
whereas the correct driver shows the following,
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy including Platinum and Platinum eX series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 including Platinum, Platinum eX, and Value series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS including Platinum and Platinum Pro series

  • Sound Blaster Audigy with 5.1 Speakers prob

I have 5. speakers with a sound blaster audigy sound card. I've installed all the drivers and additional programs but it looks like my 2 rear speakers are not working. I thought maybe it was some kind of speaker problem but when i switched the 2 rear with the 2 front then the rear worked but front didn't. In the surround mixer i tested the 5. and here are the results:
    - Front Left (Sound: OK, Speaker: OK)
    - Center (Sound: NO SOUND)
    - Front Right (Sound: OK, Speaker: OK)
    - Rear Left (Sound: OK, Speaker: NO - The sound comes from the center speaker)
    - Rear Right (Sound NO - It sounds very strange... bearly you can understand the words, Speaker: NO - The sound comes from the center speaker)
The wired are set correctly i checked it and I dont know what it might be wrong. Drivers are ok and everything are installed. Help please.

"I thought maybe it was some kind of speaker problem but when i switched the 2 rear with the 2 front then the rear worked but front didn't."
Does this not indicate two of the speakers are not physically working? Or have a mis-interpreted?

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Prob

Recently I've purchased the Creative Power Pack Pro 7., it included the <SPAN class=textbluebold>Creative GigaWorks 7. S750
<SPAN class=textbluebold>speakers, and <SPAN class=textbluebold>Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro soundcard. I've installed my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro card and setup my Sound Blaster GigaWorks S750 speakers but so far after many attempts haven't gotten them to work. I've tried all updates off the Creative site and gone through the cards settings. For some reason in the speaker settings it only lists Headphones, 2., 4. and 5. speaker settings, leaving out 7.. I've checked all plugins and hookups, and am stuck for now. I have a brand new Sony Vaio computer, so i know that my computer is not the problem. I read through all the forms and I was only able to find one other question like mine, one person answered saying that the <SPAN class=textbluebold>Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro is not compatible with 7. speakers. I have no clue why Creative would sell the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and GigaWorks S750 7. speakers if they are not compatible with each other. Someone please help me. Thanks.

  • Vista drivers problems Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Noteb

First thing to do: haveyour systemchecked out, if windows says the hardware is failing there may really be something wrong with it.
If the SB card works in an XP machine there may be a problem in the the PCI slot or controller on the motherboard, either way have a tech shop look at it. If thehardware allchecks out: before putting the card back in completely delete the old driver and software, download the new one without installing it, then put the card in and windows should try to auto-install with the new driver.P.S. the platinum version is the one with thecontrol panel that slots into a dri've bay, if you have one of those, it's a platinum, if not, it's a regulHi all, how are you
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-SZ430N/B notebook, and I'm trying to install Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook on it (Unfortunately, the notebook came with windows vista business from factory).
This notebook has a Texas Instruments PCMCIA controller.
Under "Device Manager" the PCMCIA controller is described as "Texas
Instruments PCI-8x2/7x2/6x2 CardBus Controller", but on Sony's
webpage the driver that seems to be related to it is "Texas
Instruments PCI74 Integrated FlashMedia Controller Driver".
It is kind of all in one solution from Texas Instruments (PCMCIA
controller, Memory Card reader, and Firewire controller).
Please, may someone help me to answer the questions bellow
1)Are there any kind of compatibility problem between this notebook PCMCIA controller (described above), and Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook
2)I've already brought this notebook to Sony's support service, so they could verify if there is any kind of hardware problem with the notebook. Sony's technician wasn't able to find any hardware problems on it, but I'm experiencing the problem described below:
2.)Every time that I plug this sound card on my notebook, and I try to install Creative's latest windows Vista drivers(Creative Sound Blaster Audigy series Vista Driver 2.2.0002), thus It leads me to a Blue Screen during the driver installation process. Please, Does somebody know what could be this problem root causeIt is very weird, even if i try to install this sound card on clean windows vista install, then it leads me to blue screen. Besides, I have another PCMCIA card from another manufacturer, and I was able to install its windows vista drivers with no problem.(It sounds that Creative labs' vista drivers is the problem root cause as I've tested this sound card on a different notebook with windows xp and It worked fine).
3)Does anyone know if creative is planning to release a windows vista driver that allows the users to use all of this sound card featuresSo far the latest driver available doesn't support even DVD-Audio. Have creative labs discontinued this product
I appreciate any help you can give me,
    thanks in advance,
    Rogerr ZS.

The best advice I can give is to fully remove ALL Creative software. We've compiled a list of entries that will cause problems here. It's very important before installing newer files.http://nomoregoatsoup.wordpress.com/...tall-problems/Then install some better drivers and see if that cures your issues. The 2.2.0002 drivers are really, really awful, 99% of people I've spoken to had problems with them. I personally like 2.5.0002 Hope this helps.
