Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Plat. Pro and Playstati

I wanna hook my Playstation2 up to my PC so I can take advantage of my 7. surround sound system. I am not real sure how to go about this. I can't find any audo jacks that the Playstation2 uses on the external box of my SB card.
Any help is appriciated.

You must use the Optical output from the PS2.
Use an optical cable to hook up from the PS2 to the Optical input of the A2ZSPP Dri've.

Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro with constant beeping and crashing

I would like to make a enquiry with regards to a issue I have come across for the past few weeks. I have a custom build pc running at home with a Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro sound card. This machine has been build since 2007 and all as been fine up until now. I have noticed that when playing audio and listening to music the machine crashes all of a sudden and there is a constant beep coming out the machine which requires me to hard reset the machine to return to normal. I have reinstalled the OS to rule out any windows Audio drivers, device drivers, software issues and failure with the OS, but this only lasted a few weeks and this problem has re-appeared and is ntermittent and very frustrating. I would like to know the route the of intermittent issue and the possible causes around it and what I have to do push forward apart from changing the sound card, it would be nice to know the proper answer to the cause of the issue. Any ideas could it be the capacitors on the card?

So with your 65 whopping posts, what exactly do you think you are contributing to this forum? The user has a Sound Blaster-branded sound card, so in my opinion, he is in the "correct" section.

Sound Blaster Audigy2 NX Huge Prob

My Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 NX works well. At least to a point.
It works until I stop using something that's sound dri'ven for about 2 hours. And then it basically blacks out. It won't work. Computer recognizes it, but says "there is no playback device availiable." The only way to fix this is to reboot, then it works for until I don't use something sound dri'ven for two hours.
What's the problem?

Seems to have fixed the problem.
For those of you who are having similar problems, go to the automatic webUpdate, and download the updated drivers and firmware. I left it on all night, and 00% of the time, the speakers and sound device wouldn't work. It seems to have made it last night, so I assume the driver update has fixed the problem.

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS freezing in windows 7

Hello to all Ceative sopporters, i have a problem with my Crati've Soud Blaster Audigy2 ZS, Sound is good im SB but all Sofware freezing every time when i am using eq Eax console Speakaer settings and other i can't remember so i need maybe patch or fix. any knows what i can do? ?

I re-used this Creative Audigy2 Platinum for my new built PC on Window7 64. Now on the new desktop; the rear or front panel plug-in is working fine for both microphone & headphone (I used same handheld Shure SM58 on the old PC, also Window7 version), but through headphones or speakers only. Unfortunately, in the Control Panel/Sound, the "What You Hear" or "Microphone" icons is there but it said "Current Unavailable". With that, I can't not mix my sound for recording or talk/broadcast live over internet. Please help! Thanks a lot

Sound Blaster 2 ZS Platinum Pro vanis

I have a bit of an unusual problem..
The story is I've been using this computer without problems for about 9 months now. However, a week ago I just brought my computer back from CA (I was going to school there) to WA. I even drove the 3 hours instead of flying to prevent damage during shipping and etc. However, when I got home, the strangest thing happened, in that the computer refused to recognize that the Card was there, even though the little green Power LED on the external I/O hub is still on. I looked at the drivers and they disappeared, and when I try to open up any sort of Creative Software, it tells me "The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit." And Winamp will tell me something along the lines of "Bad DirectSound Driver" or something of that nature. I tried moving the card around to different PCI slots, reinstalling drivers, Windows Restore the entire machine to before I made the trip, and nothing worked.
Finally, yesterday, I backed up all my important documents and stuff from my C: dri've, and did a complete reformat and reinstalled Windows (without the card plugged in). After that and updating all my drivers and etc, I tried to do a clean install of the sound card, i.e. plugging it into the PCI slot, then installing the software, and it worked!! I was so happy and I went to bed.
Now today, all of a sudden, it doesn't work anymore! I didn't touch anything and did nothing to the computer. It's back to the old state of not detecting the card at all, and the Power LED is still on. I did a search and some people seem to have the same problem, but the difference is that my card isnt even recognized in the Device Manager (theirs all have the "Multimedia Audio Device" with a yellow exclamation mark on it). And also, I can't do the whole extract then CTZapp.exe thing, since my card isn't even detected at ALL. I'm so confused and frustrated!! I thought I fixed this stupid thing

If there's no light from the optical i/o then there's no audio signal at all and explain why you have no sound. Make sure you check all the cable including the power cable that you need to connect to the card. Does your power on LED on the external i/o light up? If all power are proper and there's still no light from the optical i/o then probably you have a faulty i/o that need replace.

I did try the PRAM reset several times but it appeared not to be working as when I went into info about my Mac it showed me 0 under Audio built in. I reinstalled the software update Mac os x 10.6.8 V1.1 from the apple site 2 days ago. Everything that was using audio had seemed to crash or not work all audio files, skype and itunes. When I switched on my bluetooth it would pick up my friend's pc and it would show the volume control was un muted and still no sound, I turned off the bluetooth and it would go back to being muted. I gave up and this morning miraculously it started up with sound as soon as I switched it on and everything seems to be working.

Hi. I promised to myself that I wont give up and I looked for a solution to all SB Li've! 5. OEM (0220 and others) problem not detecting the card by the new drivers ! AND HERE IT IS !! I tested it and works almost PERFECTLY !!! Also for peaple who HAVE the original drivers but have problem with EAX in such games like GTA San Andreas THIS IS THE SOLUTION FOR YOU !! Then after reboot you go to Device Manager and update drivers for Sound Blaster Li've Series (or Multimedia audio device) mark "Don't look for drivers.." And choose KX from the list. Thats all I thinkPs 2 - set the mixer for your card couse basically it's set for 5. dolby surround. If you have 2 Speakers or headphones do this: run the KX mixer (tray) and click Speaker setting (the icon with "?") set it to 2. and in Surround set COPY. Gee, I think it's catching on. I was VERY dissapointed when I wasted my money on the SB Li've! 24bit PCI. That card apparently isn't a Li've! card, it's got a different chipset. It performs horribly with games and there are no other drivers to use for it. Not even the Audigy 2 hack and the kX audo project will work with it. This is like the **bleep** child of all Sound Blasters. No support, no reasonable performance, and horrible drivers. I just joined this forum today and this is the 5th topic related to SB Li've! 24 bit issues that I've seen yet. And what does creative take into initiati've about it's Nothing. Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS: Listen and play separate trac

I recently purchased the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS card for my laptop, however I was wondering if it is possible to play one track and listen to a separate track while the first is playing. The reason being i am using the laptop for mobile dj'ing, so really want to queue up the next track before playing it blindly. Hi, I have Creative Sound Blaster Li've 5. Digital in my computer. I recently clean installed Windows Vista. Everything went fine, its been few months now everything was fine. But for the past few days my Vista computer is showing a blue screen on startup and will allow me to boot in Safe mode only with following error:

The front panel connections you want to use are adapted to be connected to a motherboard with audio included, NOT to a PCI audio card. You'll have to connect the front panel wires to your motherboard's audio connnector.

Sound Blaster Arena Headphones Problem - On and Off

I have a problem with my Sound Blaster Arena Headset. Its been working perfectly until yesterday. It keeps turning on and off in the playback devices but it stays off unless I replug the USB or switch USB ports. Then shortly after it works again it turns off again. When it says "No audio output device installed" on the list of playback devices, there is a static noise coming out of the headphones like a beat of a pulse. I tried reinstalling numerous times and still no difference. I also tried plugging in the USB in the back of the computer, but with same results, the headset becomes "unplugged" again. Yo, if you ever come back here(you last visited in March) We can probably help one another. The wires you are talking about are:
red/blue = V+ or volume up
red/green = MIC switch on/off
green/copper = G (ground for the LED)
FULL red = L or left earphone. I have this associated with tp7.
I have no wires connected to my circuit board. I have been using trial an error to identify what goes where. However I have been given ONE godsend. When the wires were ripped from the circuit board the white sheathed wire left a little section on the circuit board identifying it as tp5.
IF all you have is the four missing connections you could easily use trial n error. Touching the missing wires to each node.
for the mic switch. Open up ventrilo and get it listening for the mic.
process of elimination. Then you can do volume up. or get the led working by touching the ground to the nodes(possibly the easiest)
I'm going back to the drawing board with the the red wire.

Sound Blaster Live Platinum 5.1 and MCE2

I have recently built myself a WindowsXP Media Center Edition PC for my entertainement box. I also own a Sound Blaster Li've! Platinum 5. that I bought when it just came out. I have installed the drivers from a new CD that I found on the Net, these work fine. Everything works except for the following. I had a look @ the remote and it has everything that MCE would need to control it.
Now, my problem is this. Does anyone know how I can let that remote operate MCE? I have looked all over the net, and I havn't found anything that allows me to configure it. Any Idea?

You may have to use the connection on the rear of the sound card...there should have had a "Y" shaped cable included with the speaker/sound card..it has a small 1/8" plug on the single end and opens to a din plug and rca type pluge on the other...try the single end in the orange input at the sound card and the other two plug in to the speaker system..sorry bout being so vaugue, i'm kinda tired..but if you need the original speaker system/ sound card owner's manuals with the installation diagrams I can get them to you.

Problems with Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 and a freshly reformatted windows 98se

Lets get right down to business shall we? I've recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled the somewhat outdated OS windows 98 second edition. I've only recently managed to get my network card and modem working with my refreshed machine again but now I'm having problems getting my sound card (Sound Blaster Li've! 5. Digital) working again too. Its as if the computer CAN'T recognize the fact that there is a sound card inserted into the port. What do I do?

Try the card in another PCI slot to see if it will pick it up then.
Which model is this exactly (like Li've 5. Player, Li've 5. Digital, or another)? Do you know which model number is printed on the card?
It's possible the card doesn't have Windows98 support, newer cards do not support that Operating System so it may not have drivers on the CD for that OS.

Connecting Audigy2 ZS Plat Pro to dvd pla

I have the Audigy 2 ZS Plat. Pro sound system for my computer and just recently bought a Samsung Blue Ray dvd player (BD-P200) Is it possible to connect my new DVD player to my computer surround sound system?
Or do i need a Decoder ?

I fixed it; all I did was roll back the driver. To do that go to hardware manage select the sound card and click properties then it is under drivers. I then went back and reinstalled the newest update from creative (not the beta)
