Sound Blaster Live CT4620 and Windows XP can it work and h
Hello, I have an old Sound Blaster Li've Model CT4620 that I installed on my old PC (windows 95) and loved quite a while back, I have since upgraded my Pc to a newer model that has Windows XP Pro and was hoping to install my old much loved Sound Blaster Li've card but when I went to install the drivers from my origanal discs windows put up a warning that this version of driver was not compatable with my system. I have looked around the site and am lost. Is there any hope for me and my older Sound blaster li've card? If so what do I need to do, download, install to run it's I am not very PC smart so please take it slow for me Thank you!

Sound Blaster Live Drive Won't reco
I installed a SB Li've dri've in my uncle's computer and I can't get it to record through the mic2/Line-in2 input. I have done everything I know to fix the problem (uninstall - re-install the drivers and software, removed and re-installed the hardware). The problem is that the mute is always on in play control, in the recording control, it is selected, but it is still muted. I can't disable the mute.
TIAHere is what I have found with the old li've dri'ves. I bought one of the first li've dri'ves with my very first Sound Blaster Li've!'s then I bought the 5., and then the Audigy 2ZS with its I/O bay. i/o bay and li've dri've are interchangeable terms to me. I have used my very first Li've dri've with my Audigy 2Z and Fatality Pro Pci-regular. Simply plug in the "old style 40 pin ide type cable" and the power source. Reboot your machine. Then you will have a new tab in your Creative Control Panel. The panel will now have options for Line2/Mic 2 etc. These are not alternate inputs and recording sources. These are usable in Windows 7 and Vista as well as XP.
Older Li've Dri'ves work with newer cards, but not all newer Li've Dri'ves work with older cards. For example, the Audigy 2 ZS has a firewire connector that plugs on to the sound card, so if your card has no firewire port connection that part of the dri've wont work. But the microphone, input and midi connectors will. Just make sure that the I/O bay/Li've Dri've is plugged in with the floppy power source connector and that your ribbon cables pink edge is plugged in on PIN on the card and I/O bay. Otherwise, some of the bay's functions will work and others will show up in the control panel but will not work. Hope this hel

Have you actually tired it yourself? I'm wondering if this is a workaround, or will this be the official solution. I wouldn't mind trying it, but I don't want to mess it up for when the Official driver is released. -
Windows 7 - 64 Bit Driver Needed For Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Model SB0100
I am having trouble finding a working driver for Windows 7 - 64 Bit for a Sound Blaster Li've! 5. Audo Card Model# SB000
I downloaded driver file SBL_PC64DRVBETA_LB_2_03_0005.exe which I think is a 64 Bit Sound Blaster Li've! update, but Windows 7 does not allow it to be installed because it is not a digitally signed driver. It also seems Creative is no longer supporting these old cards with new driver updates.
I love the card though. I have bought more recent sound cards and the sound of this card is still much better than the more recent sound cards I have bought. So I would like to keep using it if possible.
Are there any driver solutions?I recently answered about the same question:
If you?use Vista or Windows7, then there is no official driver. You can only use alternati've drivers like Vista Support Pack by Daniel_K or the one from KXProject (better). But if you have more than 2 gigs of memory installed or an x64 OS, then both drivers will be half-working (as far as I remember, Daniel's driver won't work with more than 2 Gb of memory installed in any OS, and with KX-driver there will only be a problem with MIDI playback with more than 2 Gb AND x64 Win7). -

Sbl-soundfonts: soundfont midi lib for sound blaster live
Something I needed for midi tests of my sound blaster live card.
The first soundfont file was suggested as the best general soundfont library available for free (8MB). The second is from my sb live install cd (4MB). If you only want the first one remove second source file and second md5sum. You will need asfxload from awesfx package (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=77155) to load the library.

BA7500G + Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit + Windows 2k = no sound
Similar to the thread for Win XP, I have inherited a BA7500g speaker system, and purchased a new Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit card for my Win2k system. Cannot get the speakers to work, although the speaker test works from the BA control unit. Noticed the digital audio input cable is color coded, and I don't have the original card that matches this scheme. Could this be the problem?
I have installed a new (not used) Soundblaster Audigy SE and BA7500G speakers and I'm running XP Pro. I'm getting no sound even when I change to Digital Out only? Not sure what to do? Is this sound card not compatible with my speakers? Do I need to purchase the Digital I/O Module that Creative is currently not in stock? I can find the Digital I/O module on Ebay if need be but not sure that's the solution. Please help!
Thanks,

Satellite L30 - Sound driver for Windows 7?
I need sound drivers for my notebook (Sattelite L30 PSL30L). I search on this site but not yet found the driver for windows 7.
Is there any solutions?
thx so much for reply.>i dont know how to search on realtek.com
LOL :) You don't need to search on Realtek page for drivers... the first Realtek page provides link to the High Definition audio codec!
Here a link:

Have you tried drivers in XP downgrade guide, here
Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 Driver (CQ50, CQ60, CQ70, G50, G60 and G70), use Microsoft Update driver, or download it here
For CQ60/70 and G60/70 with Conexant Pebble, here
Please install MS-UAA before audio driver
newer (sp42126) HERE"
i have installed sp42126 which worked just fine. Then i tried to install "the CQ60/70 and G60/70 with Conexant Pebble"
but it said " driver installation failed. Could not find the media device for this driver"
Now what should i do?
Where can i find the proper sound card driver fot my HP? Please help
>Hello,
Since you downgrade your laptop to xp, drivers are not installed properly, if you check on our website and choosed xp for the operating system, driver are limited, I suggest to return computer to its original factory condition, might wanna consider ordering the recovery disc if you did not create one
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=4125779&lc=en&cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&lang=en...
Your sound driver is IDT high definition audio and not a Conexant, Using the driver for Conexant would not work
If problem is still there, pls inform me
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP

Sound Blaster Live 5.1 - SF1 damaged.
houk
Yesterday I've found on my SBLi've5. that subassembly signed as SF (near MID/Gameport) is corrupted (looks like burned out).. Is this little one correspond with using an eventual midi keyboard od game controller? What kind of component is that? Resistor? Or something else? If this thing is important for communication through MIDI/Gameport, and if yes - could it be repaired by changing invalid component?Originally Posted by dogweed
