Sound Blaster Live! Value Sound Card Driver for

Hi, I have an older sound card that I purchased in 200: Sound Blaster Li've! Value Sound Card. The website doesn't seem to have the driver for this specific model. I'm looking for an Windows XP driver. Can anyone direct me to the right place to download this?

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit Vista Beta Driver 0.04.0055
Yeah, 32-bit, wooo.
When will a 64-bit version be available?

Has anyone tried the "AMD64" Driver for the Audigy Value (I assume this is the SE?) that is on the bundled CD?
I tried different driversets from the download/support site to no avail.
I didn't think about the CD driver until I got to work this morning.
Really wishing I picked up the Li've! (yesterday) instead of the Audigy Value now
...expected this card to have a better chance, especially with "x64 drivers" on the box.
Oh well, I'll give it one more shot tonight with those CD drivers... hopefully something will work.Message Edited by abz on 2-07-200604:08 PM

• Drivers needed for Sound Blaster LIVE VALUE - Model 4780

I had to move my SB Live Value card model 4780 S/N 4780210008722, to another computer and require new drivers for the SB card which has a gaming port.
I have a 3.0 gig IBM Think Center box using Windows XP SP2.
I tried the DOWNLOAD area Creative provided but found the information very confusing as to what drivers and patches to download. First it said to download except if I did not have the original installation drivers (which I don't have), but then it says to download the drivers as an upgrade.
Again, they don't address clearly what I should download for a basic installation which includes use of the game port for use with flying type software. I have 2-3 joysticks consoles i'd like to use on my newer computer using the CT 4780 SB card.

Look at your Private Messages on the top of the site.

• Issue with Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit driver

,Issue with Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit driverw Hello, I have a 2004 Dell Dimension DIM900 and a couple months ago it began making a loud crackling noise sporadically. It sounds like real ear-piercing static, like when a microphone is being plugged in, only in short random bursts at alternating pitches so I originally thought my speakers were blown. I turned them off and decided to use a headphone set only to hear the same annoying sound.
I looked in the sound settings and read that I have a Sound Blaster 24-bit internal driver in my system, assuming that information is correct.
What can I do? I did the search and read the read on those X-Fi drivers that had a similar problem, but I didn't know if that was the same as this because the thread concluded that their problem was exclusi've to systems with Nvidia dual SLI graphic configurations and X-Fi drivers. ? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi IT5,
May I know if this Li've! 24bit came pre-installed on your Dell computer or did you purchase & install the sound card separately?

• Sound blaster live 5.1 digital drive

I bought this from newegg model no. SB0220 sn. MSB02243440746S and can not find drivers?

Race30,
I would try the Li'veDrvUniPack download from out website. Go to:
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads
and in the search box type in Li'veDrvUni and it should take you to the 23.3 MB file you need. If this card is OEM these drivers may not install however it is worth a try. If this doesn't work you may want to contact NewEgg to obtain a driver CD from them.

• Sound Blaster Live - No Sound (Using ALSA) [SOLVED]

I have just recently started using Arch...I love it. Previously used Gentoo and others. My only issue right now is that I have no sound...I had this same issue with Fedora on this computer, and ended up using my mainboard sound, but I'd rather not have to do that.
Here's it's lspci -n output, if necessary: 1102:0007
The module it uses is the snd_ca0106, and it is confirmed running under lsmod.
Alsamixer shows IEC958C, F, R, and U. It shows analog C, F, R, and S. It is unmuted, with all volumes at 70%. There is no master or PCM channel.
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
gives no output.
Any help would be much appreciated.
EDIT: I am a member of the audio group. And all tests were performed as user and root.

• Both Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and Integrated Sound Card Does Not W

Hi! I just installed a new mother board and cpu. Its an ECS 755-A2 mother board with a 3200+ AMD Sempron/64-bit CPU. It's not the best, but i was trying to save money. Before, I had a soyo and a 2800+ AMD Athlon XP and i had the Sound Blaster Li've 5.. Now with this ECS mb, the sound card doesn't get detected anymore, even in device manager. I downloaded the new driver for the Sound Blaster Li've 5. from their official website and when I came to install it... it said that there were no Sound Blaster cards detected on my computer even though it was securely pushed in IN a pci slot!!Then I decided that I don't need sound blaster so i installed the driver for the integrated sound card on my mb (realtek AC-97) and everything LOOKS fine according to their program and the control panel (sound and audio options) but i dont receive any sound from anything at all. I was planning on buying a NEW sound card but then i decided to test this Sound Blaster Li've 5. on my bro's computer. Ironically, it was detected on his .2 ghz AMD Athlon Thunderbird and now i'm puzzled as why it wasn't detected on mine. What solutions have I tried?I installed numerous drivers for both the sound blaster and the integrated sound card repeatedly and there wasn't any hope. I re-installed the OS twice (I'm willing to do a third though)I don't know what else I can try.. can anyone help and please don't say the mother board :[?Specs:3200+ AMD Sempron/64-Bit CPU (2.2 ghz)ECS Elite Group 755-A2 Motherboard52 DDR RamGeforce 4 Ti4200 Video Card

If you had change the motherboard then I suggest you format your harddisk and start from a fresh install of the OS and not just reinstall the OS.

This is the new Official Audio driver released by Creative for Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit for Windows x64.
You can not install this driver in your MSI nForce4 based boards without first applying the OnBoard Sound EEPROM fix first found here

Have you actually tired it yourself? I'm wondering if this is a workaround, or will this be the official solution. I wouldn't mind trying it, but I don't want to mess it up for when the Official driver is released.

• Sbl-soundfonts: soundfont midi lib for sound blaster live

Something I needed for midi tests of my sound blaster live card.
The first soundfont file was suggested as the best general soundfont library available for free (8MB). The second is from my sb live install cd (4MB). If you only want the first one remove second source file and second md5sum. You will need asfxload from awesfx package (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=77155) to load the library.

I recently answered about the same question:
If you?use Vista or Windows7, then there is no official driver. You can only use alternati've drivers like Vista Support Pack by Daniel_K or the one from KXProject (better). But if you have more than 2 gigs of memory installed or an x64 OS, then both drivers will be half-working (as far as I remember, Daniel's driver won't work with more than 2 Gb of memory installed in any OS, and with KX-driver there will only be a problem with MIDI playback with more than 2 Gb AND x64 Win7).

Hello,
Since you downgrade your laptop to xp, drivers are not installed properly, if you check on our website and choosed xp for the operating system, driver are limited, I suggest to return computer to its original factory condition, might wanna consider ordering the recovery disc if you did not create one

• Drivers for Sound Blaster Live

I am getting an older computer together for my grandmother and upgraded it to Windows 2000 from 98. The original drivers do not work with 2000 so I have tried to find the current drivers. I have tried different PCI slots, downloaded the drivers from Creative, and I get a message that I don't have a Sound Blaster installed.
This card came in the computer which is a Compaq EP 6350. I have also been to their site and downloaded the drivers they have all with no luck. The computer is identifying the card as a Mulitmedia Audio Controller not a Sound Blaster. Any suggestions?THank you

HI!
I encounter Installation problems with that file:

I Use Vista 64Bit Ultimate and when I try to install this package I have an error message after my language selection. Is there a known issue for this
Thanks!

estebandit wrote:

Yes it is called trying to install the wrong driver for your card. Will work much better if you try installing the correct one,
SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe
Also helps if you click on the "Show Details" link on the download page, then you would see that the one you tried to install doesn't support your card,
Requirements:
Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS, or Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit audio devices
whereas the correct driver shows the following,
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy including Platinum and Platinum eX series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 including Platinum, Platinum eX, and Value series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS including Platinum and Platinum Pro series
