Sound blaster pro 2 (ct1600) not working under windows

Hi,
i have a little problem... i have a Creative Sound Blaster Pro 2 (PCI) card (ref.: CT600) that WAS working under windows 98SE. Now i have installed windows XP pro SP2 and i have no sound.
after that i have tried the procedures you describe on the sticky above BUT... still no sound. after a few hours of search i came to understand that i'm not the only one with this problem and taht it's driver compatibility related "SO" i decided to search creative labs for a solution and i find a driver that suposedly would work and (another but...) still no sound...
what can i do? can you provide some info OR a driver download link? i would apreciate the help...

and isn't there any way of getting the sound cart to work unless having to buy another?

Just an FYI, the AC97 Audio on your MSI mainboard will not work under Windows 2000, for which the AC97 hardware is not certified. If you try to use it, your audio output will be intermittant at best and will crash your audio applications at worst. Anyone had successs in this or another Bluetooth Keyboard after a bit of a struggle? What did you do to get it working? When I Add Device in Bluetooth it sees the keyboard but enlessly scans for it when I try to select and connect. The Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse worked just fine.

My friend, i have both, the bluetooth mouse and keyboard here that your talking about. and the keyboard was a struggle to pair with the windows 7 64 bit.... i think i spent 2 days working with it. and i didnt try anything special, i just kept trying to pair
it, and unplugging the dongle and working with it... and after a while. it worked... Lately though, i have been looking into getting a wired mouse and keyboard becuase of the delays and sleep time i have with my current keyboard(rocketfish). supposidly there
is a way around the delays but it disables all the options on your keyboard. IE the media buttons, and web browsing features. and my mouse keeps dieing off too....
Also, after researching these products more, i found that alot of people experienced similar problems with them, Being delays and mouse failure. Even with fresh batteries and all. The products werent meant to be used long term(2-3 years) for extensive use...
I dont know about you but i thinki paid 100 bucks for the pair so thats only 25 bucks a year... Which is kinda silly considering i coulda got a better one that wont cough up on me.
If anyone reading this finds a good wireless keyboard that doesnt delay, and a mouth that doesnt delay...(my biggest concern). Please mention it. i am very interested in.

Microphone on Macbook pro does not work in windows 7 with parallels

I recently purchased a Macbook pro with retina display, and installed windows 7 on the macbook with parallels desktop 7. I found out my microphone was not working correctly inside windows, I did bought my laptop to Apple store, at first we thought it was the microphone problem and exchanged me a new laptop, but the issue still exits, so I bought the laptop back to Apple store, this time we find out it seems like the microphone only not working under the windows, it works just fine in Mac part.
Apple direct me to windows telling me that I might need to install a device or driver only windows can provide; then when I contacted window, Windows told me I need to contact apple because the device or deriver must provided by the manufacture of the PC. Both side still direct me back to each other, so I still don't know what deriver or device I needed..........
When I pull up the device manager inside windows, the only device listed under sound is "Parallels Audio Controller (x64)"
Another thing is, the microphone still works inside windows 7, it's just not working correctly. For an example, if I'm doing a live chatting with my friends inside windows, I can hear my friends and they can hear me too, but they cannot hear me very clearly, it seems like there are some kind of negative feedback, it seems like there's an electronic vibrate in my voice.

Is your camera working under Windows 8?
Mine is not. It used to work some time ago, but even then the driver was instable. Now, since a few weeks, it seems not to work at all anymore. Reinstalling the driver does not help.
This may ba a hardware or a software issue, that's why it is important for me to know if yours is working.

It should be a hardware problem if you are able to run the camera perfectly. Are you using a 64- or 32-bit OS?

Wifi not working under windows 8.1 with Bootcamp

Hi, I have installed windows 8.1 under bootcamp. it seems to work fine however the wifi connaction is not existing under windows. therefore i can only connect via ethernet. Anyone an idea how to solve it? Thx

I don't know if it's still interesting for you, but I've had the exact same issues. The only solution, as far as there is no official change from Apple, you can install Windows 8.0 via Bootcamp with official drivers for Bootcamp (wifi works great) and then install the upgrade to 8.1 as Windows still uses the former installed drivers from Win 8 on 8.1 as well.
Hope that helped, 8.1 runs even better on my MB Air than Mac OS 10.9 :/

Macbook pro (early 2008): Trackpad not working under Windows XP

My Trackpad worked regularly under Windows (Bootcamp) and Mac OSx until some months ago my Motherboard had to be exchanged because of a fault function of the graphics card. When I started Macintosh after the Macbook pro was repaired the Trackpad worked regularly, but under windows the mouse didn't react to moving the finger or clicking. I reinstalled the drivers, but this didn't fix the problem.
What shall i do now? Thank you for any advices.

Russell Brown " Image Processor Pro " does not work under CC

I just switched from Photoshop CS 6 to CC and use Russell Brown "Image Processor Pro". Unfortunately does not work that under CC. I also want to install the fix but we probably only applied to CS6.
Does anyone have a solution to the problem.

I installed Image Processor Pro quite some time ago. I extracted the extension package and just copied the two files "Image Processor Pro.xml" and "Image Processor Pro.jsx" into Photoshop's versions Presets\Scripts. I'm having the same problem. When I try to connect to the switch in our conference room (connecting both a flat panel display and/or a projector, both with much higher native resolutions), all I get is 640x480. This is a huge problem to using bootcamp, and I really need to get this to work. I was able to get a higher resolution 1280x800 on a separate, portable display, so I'm wondering if people have the problem with standalone projectors or only with projectors connected to some sort of switch, in my case an Extron MPX423A. I have also tried this in both Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 RC1 (32-bit), with the bootcamp drivers and the latest NVidia drivers, and the behavior is the same all around.

Networked Officejet Pro K850 not working with WIndows 7

At work, I have a networked Officejet Pro K850 and I can not get it to work with WIndows 7 Pro 32-bit OS. I have read several forums on this problem and tried some of the suggestions and nothing works. My print server is running WIndows 2000 Server. Not sure what else to do so I am writing this post hoping someone has a solution to this problem. After I installed the printer is has a green checkmark by the printer icon, but when i do a test print page I get the 'document failed to print' error. I have also tried the Windows update and used one of the printers on the listing to no avail.
I downloaded the Universal PCL 6 driver and installed it on the WIndows 7 PC. I ran the utility and it recognized and successfully installed an HP Lasertjet 4350Dtn, I say successfully because I was able to print a test page. HELP! Thanks in advance

Addin does not work under Windows 2003

Hello.
I have a few Excel addins with forms and other objects that work fine on my desktop (Windows XP), where I have OO4O installed. Recently a user needed to start using these addins and I installed OO4O on a server using Windows 2003. The user (Windows XP also) connects to the server using Remote Desktop Connection. However when he uses the addins they do not work. The connection to the database is fine, I know that because otherwise some forms would not appear. The problem is when the user presses the first combobox of each form no data appears. If I enter just some text on that combobox, which enables a second combobox, then this second combobox works fine, I can see the database data. When the form allows me to press a button that runs a query I receive the message “Not all variables bound”.
If anybody can help I would very much appreciated.

My usb ports on my ms6191 Mother Board stop working after about 10 minutes under Windows XP home edition. They work fine under 98SE and ME, any sugggestions any1?

Photoshop CS5 updates not working under windows 8 64bit, updates download error

I´ve changed from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 8 64-bit. Since this point updates reported download error for all components. I´ve downloaded all updates und saved them. Report is still the same

doing the cscleanertool helped. everything is ok but the update Pixel bender 2.5. this is still not working but i can live with it. the new Installation with files downloaded from Adobe was also unusable und i switched again to my cd´s. then everything was fine.

32-bit Oracle ODBC Driver does not work under Windows 64-bit

We have both Oracle Server 64-bit (10.2.0.3) and Oracle Client 32-bit (10.2.0.1) installed on the same Windows 2003 64-bit server.
We can create and test 64-bit Oracle ODBC System DSN using 64-bit ODBC Administrator.
We can also create a 32-bit Oracle ODBC System DSN using 32-bit ODBC Administrator.
However, the "test connection" does not work:
Unable to connect
SQLState=IM003
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 998 (Oracle in OraClient10g_home32)
We need the 32-bit driver due to 32-bit applications acessing the local 64-bit Oracle server.
How should we accomplish this?

I applied 10.2.0.3 path to Oracle Client 32-bit and now the error is different.
This error message appears 3 times before configuring, creating or testing a System DNS:
"An unsupported operation was attempted."
I just click OK 3 times and then can configure, create or test the DSN.
However the 32-bit application still cannot access Oracle...
