Sound Blaster R3: Delay on Recording / Playing Music

Hi all,
Recently purchased with the Sound Blaster R3 and am very happy with its build quality. However, I get delays on both recording and playing sound.
Recording When I use GarageBand to record from the Vocal Mic (1), the sound recorded into GarageBand has a small delay - meaning when I sing in rhythm with the metronome, the recorded sound shows the waveform of my singing slightly behind the metronome.
Playing The R3 plays music at a small delay after the music is supposed to play. For example, YouTube videos have the audio played a little after the video - this is especially noticeable on dance videos when the dance steps do not go in sync with the music. Also, on playing games, the sound of killing enemies only plays a short while after the enemy dies.
Anyone has any ideas on fixing the aforementioned issues? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Creative Surround Mixer is the master volume control for most of our sound cards. This is included on the installation and application CD and should be installed by default. You can usually find it in the start menu section for your sound card.

Sound Problems on my Notebook - cannot play music

Sound was OK until a Windows update a few days ago. For example Amazon will not play sample of music of their CDs. Also some surveys I do not have sound, and when I delete e-mails the sound has gone. Can you help as I am not very efficient in technical matters.

I understand that your notebook is not able to produce sound when playing music off of a website, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!

When I put my 4th gen iPod Touch in my iPod dock it makes the sound and charges but when I play music it is silent. Help?

The volume slider at the bottom disappears, so it is connected and my iPod dock will play music on my old 4th Gen iPod Touch. My new iPod will play fine through headphones, the internal speaker and one other iPod dock I have tried. I have restarted it (home and lock keys), reset and backed it up and this problem existed when it was on iOS6 (have updated it to iOS6.1 - problem still exists). Any help or suggestions welcome!!

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, sometimes an iOS update will break conpatibility and you will have to wair for an update to either the iOS or the dock firmware.

Sound Blaster Mp3+ cannot hear recorded so

When I play sound into the RCA line in on the back of the MP3+ the computer registers and records it correctly but I cannot hear it as it is playing which means I cannot simply listen to records on the computer using the line in. I have also noticed that there is no 'what u hear' option in the recording source selecter as has been the case with other creative cards. How can I make the the recording source audible?

Unfortunately the MP3+ is not capable of playing back it's inputs. This is due to USB bandwidth limitation as it would require the sound to be sent to the computer and then sent back to the MP3+ for output. This would introduce timing and latency problems. It would also require a huge amount of the usb bandwidth which would limit the computer sound quality capable. For a similar reason there is not an option for "What-U-Hear".

I Just installed my sound blaster audigy and cant record noth

i tried everything, when i tested the soundblaster hardware it didnt pick up nothing, then i put the mic in the stock recorder input,tested that hardware on my computer and that one worked. on my adobe audition(studio recording software) i changed the recording software to the soundblaster but still getting the same results..

i tried re installing the drivers but nothing works and i know for sure its not the mike

Hmm... you could st check if the SB is set as preferred play/recording device in system audio settings (start run mmsys.cpl) and then as suggested by creative, disable the onboard audio system. If still not working then, check the settings in surround mixer (or windows play/recording control panels) .. used source channel opened and recording source set properly. jutapa

Connecting Sound Blaster Connect to an old hi-fi to record ta

Does anyone know how to connect the sound blaster connect to an old hi-fi. there seems to be only cable included that will go to the back (video?) feed of my hi-fi (the double ended white/red cable) and when i plug that in to the hi-fi and sound blaster it doesn't record anything so i assume it's not right. is there a cable i can get which i can just plug into the headphone plug on my hi-fi and then into the sound blaster? i don't understand all the technical phrases used on other messages or the website so sorry if someone has asked this question before.
Can anyone help me? i really want to record all my old tapes onto computer.

I always used a stereo guitar/keyboard cable and used an adaptor to make it smaller on the computer end (my headphone socket on my hi-fi is big). But yeh, I always just used the headphone socket on the hi-fi and the line-in input on the soundcard. This has worked for every sound card I've ever had...

Sound blaster roar audible hiss

Does anyone else notice an audible hiss when music isnt playing?
By hiss i mean it sounds like air being released.
Volume controls dont seem to affect it, the hiss is constant. It exists while plugged in either AC or USB or unplugged.
After 20 seconds of no input the unit goes into a standby mode and the hiss disappears. If it wake it up the hiss returns. For me it doesnt affect the sound quality too much unless i play music at a low volume and then i can hear it.
Just wondering if this is normal?

I agree, hiss is loud and distracting. Was expecting better execution from Creative in the update (ie. SR20A) to original (ie. SR20).

My daughters iPod touches will only play music when in our house connected tom wifi. What can I do to get them to play their music whence ever they want to.

Did she actually sync her music to the iPod? It sounds to me like she is playing music through the Home Sharing feature in iTunes.

I believe that on my work iPad, I was able to play music while I used other apps, however, I seem to not be able to do so on my personal iPad. What do I need to do to be able to listen to music while I work?

If the apps use sound - such as game apps, you will not be able to play Music while using this apps. If you are working in a Word Processing app or some other app that doesn't involve using sounds, you should be able to play music - using the iPad Music App.

It does, under certain circumstances. If you are playing music and lock the phone or it locks on its own, when you wake it up, the album art will show. I would think a 15" with the i7 CPU. You can get a 13" with the i7 CPU but the 15" has a dedicated graphic chip along with the intergrated one.
You will also need to upgrade the hard drive to a faster 7200RPM model instead of the standard 5400RPM model that comes with all MBPs. The Sibelius website recommends the 7200RPM or a SSD. You will also be better off installing 8GBs of RAM.
Both of those upgrades can be made after you buy a MBP for much less then Apple charges for the same upgrades and you get to keep the original RAM and hard drive.

Creative Sound Blaster Not Recording Microph

Hi guys,
I am totally frustrated. Just recently I had to do a system restore. I have the good ol reliable Sound Blaster 2NX model SB0300. I use this mainly to record my elvis impersonation (lol).
But as is the case with System restore; The creti've application was effecti'vely rendered useless. I have lost the isntallation CD so I tried manual download here; that did not work so then I did the auto.
sound blaster is working, playing music, in fact it sounds better than before. After system restore I also updated all the computer drivers...so they're up to date.
Now then, I can hear my voice and music an all but, its not recording. When I press the record button an error message appears to effect "The recording format is not supported". I am unable to even use the other appliactions I use to record music eg REAPER etc and now I am not able to recod vocals. At fist I thought it was the sound card mixing but now I am suspecting the Blaster.
I have read most of the threads here and have played arround (ie sound mixing?& selecting "what U hear", in fact i've tried all the selections exhausting all possibilities; so now I'm seeking help from the experts.
Help.
What to do!?

HOW DO I SET UP SOUND SO I CAN PLAY MUSIC IN PALTALK AND READ Q

I have just purchased new Dell Pc, and with it came the Sound Blaster X-FI Extreme Audio and I am running Vista ultimate. The settings are all very different to those i have previously used and i have not been able to work out how to play music so i can read quiz games on Paltalk. My microphone is okay and i can hear music through headphones but when i try on paltalk there is no music nor is there anything when i try record music. I am using headphones with mic attached. Can someone please let me know what my settings should be please.

Oh.. no.. I do have same problem. My newly arri'ved Dell 530 Desktop equipped with Sound blazer X-Fi Extreme Gamer soundcard but it does not give any options to play music in paltalk There is no Studio Mixer feature. Can't record with Sound Blaster Live Va

I have a Sound Blaster Li've Value (on-board) card and can't record streaming audio with it. It plays streaming audio fine, and seems to record it, but the resulting wav or mp3 files are "empty", playing them results in silence. I noticed that there was an old thread about this, but I couldn't find a reply. I tried to find out if this sound chip was indeed full duplex, but couldn't find that information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same message error.
"The SBPCI Interrupt has been routed incorrectly by the system. AudioPCI Inacti've. Use Automatic setting in the Device Manager."
I have a Compaq computer and win 98. Ever since we moved, the speakers stopped working.
I tried going thru system properties and Device manager...it shows that the device is working properly. And the Automatic setting box was already checked. I bought new speakers thinking the speakers were bad but I still get no sound. I followed all the steps for Sound Troubleshooting. I did notice when I went to control panel, multimedia, devices, audio...one of the sound cards said: driver is enabled but inacti've due to an unknown problem. But it didn't tell me how to fix the problem?
I don't know how to get the sound.
Can someone help me? I really don't know anything about the computers.
