Sound Blaster SB0100 5.1 stopped work

My , most of the time I keep the sound
turned off so dont have any idea when it stopped working, it worked before without
issues any ideas what or where to start checking, I assume their is some sort of
process of elimination process I can use.
When I turn on and off the remote volume switch I can hear the amp power up
and shut off, everything is plugged in.
Speakers are Inspire 5. 5300

Try connecting a set of headphones to the back of the card, in the line output (disconnect the speakers from that output). That'll help determine if it's the soundcard that has stopped working, or the speakers.
Go into the Mixer (should be in the System Tray, bottom right hand corner) and make sure the main volume isn't muted. If you have a keyboard with media control on it, someone may have accidentally muted the volume by pressing a mute button on that keyboard.
Make sure the card is selected correctly in Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices. It should be set as the preferred device (for both playback and recording).

Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium stopped working

If anyone can please help me fix this that would be great

It worked perfect when I got the pc built 4 months ago then just the other day when I tried to run skype it didn't work with skype so I messed with settings now the mic just doesn't work at all, I've done a ssytem restore, I've reformated, updated the drivers, put settings to default, I even let Dell look and they couldn't figure it out, I check the plugs and it's in the mic in part, how could this happen it worked perfectly before. If anyone has any clue how to get windows 7 to read the mic from the sound card?

So out of the 22 people who looked at my post none of you know how to help me get my mic working, that's pretty cool

So, i have just tried installing/updating the firmware and after the wireless transmitter failed then succeeded to install its firmware i decided i would also install the firmware for the headset its self but it failed and now my head set's buttons don't working and nothing lights up.
Why there isn't a warning or any thread/support page showing how to solve this is beyond me as from looking on the forums many people have had this problem, if i don't get this solved i will be an even more disappointed customer and amazon will have it back.
Anyone have a solution?

The sound on my computer has stopped working. I have searched through countles google entries to try and figure out the problem but I can't find anything remotely useful. I never spilled any liquid or anything on my computer. I was just searching through youtube and when I clicked a video there was no sound. Is the mute button on the side of the phone switched on?
Also go to settings, scroll to the bottom and ensure that "Keyboard Clicks" is set to on. Make sure that the "Ringer and Alerts" volume is not set at zero in this menu.

Sound Blaster X-FI drivers not working

I have a sound blaster x-fi card, im pretty sure thats the model, and i downloaded updated drivers that were supposed to support it i believe it was SBXF_PCDRV_XPVT_LB_2_18_0015.exe. After installation i have no sound at all and if i try to chose the volume mixer it gives me an error message: "There are no active mixer devices available..."
It shows that it is installed properly and functioning in device manager and Windows Audio Service is running. After the updated drivers weren't working i rolled back to my previous drivers and the problem is persisting even with the old drivers that worked before. I'm at a loss I have tried everything i can think of even reloading drivers from the original installation cd from 2007 and i cant find anyone with the same problem on the net.

I used auto update to find the offending drivers that are the whole cause of this issue. I know it is a problem with windows but it was caused by me attempting to update these faulty drivers. Updating the drivers is the only thing i have changed on the system that now has no devices available for playback. i have since uninstalled and removed the card from my mobo and switched to onboard audio and now that doesn't even work.
Just like the sound blaster, the onboard audio's drivers are working fine and the device says its functional yet i cant select it as a default playback device and i get the same errors when trying to open the mixer.
So basically the botom line is that the auto updater or the subsequent drivers that were retrieved by it messed up something in my system that even system restore cant fix.
I would love to do a full re-installation of windows xp media center but this is a hand me down computer and i dont have the installation disks. I'll probably have to buy or request one then wait 6 months just to have a functional computer again.

Sound blaster audigy 2 zs not working with vi

ok so my sound blaster worked fine with xp and i upgraded to vista and it isnt working at all. i tried to install the driver from creative's site that is supposed to work with vista. when i run the install it says it is missing a bunch of files like layout.bin and setup.exe, setup.ini,and a bunch of crap like that...i even tried getting these files from somewhere else and putting them in the install folder, it ran without missing files but gave me the same error at the end, I-00. THEN i even tried using the cd it came with when i bought the card on xp, it worked with a few minor errors but at the end it recognized my card but i get absolutely no sound at all...

The problem you are getting has to do with InstallShield and most probably your?Vista configuration... Make sure you are running as administrator and check the log files in the Program Files/InstallShield... folder to see exactly what files you are missing. There is a Creative Knowledgebase article about it, so do read it. Also do remove any Creative XP software, especially make sure you removed the InstallShield Creative folders (in the same location as above), as these have been known to cause Installation failures.

Sound blaster pro 2 (ct1600) not working under windows

i have a little problem... i have a Creative Sound Blaster Pro 2 (PCI) card (ref.: CT600) that WAS working under windows 98SE. Now i have installed windows XP pro SP2 and i have no sound.
after that i have tried the procedures you describe on the sticky above BUT... still no sound. after a few hours of search i came to understand that i'm not the only one with this problem and taht it's driver compatibility related "SO" i decided to search creative labs for a solution and i find a driver that suposedly would work and (another but...) still no sound...
what can i do? can you provide some info OR a driver download link? i would apreciate the help...

No Sound - Audio Output Device has stopped working

I've recently bought a new HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Product Number F4T62EA#ABU with Windows 8 64-bit. The audio device is a Realtek High Definition Audio device.
All was working fine until a few days ago when the audio device stopped working. Here is the device status:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)".
I've tried to update the driver for the device but it is already up to date. Can anyone let me know how this can be fixed please?

Have you made any changes? Did you update to Windows 8.1?
Here is a link to the software and driver page for you computer. HP Pavilion 15-n098sa Notebook PC Drivers. You can use Windows restore to go back in time to when it was working correctly. Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows Vista). You can do a Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8) to restore back to factory. You could also run the built in troubleshooter to help.
Follow these steps
a. Press Windows key + C to open charms
b. type in troubleshoot sound
c. select troubleshoot sound on computer and follow the on screen prompts.
Another suggestion is to run the HP Support Assistant. Please let me know the results.

Sound Blaster Z headphone/mic not working. I am sad :(

Hello I bought a Sound Blaster Z yesterday. I am running Windows 8.1
I have a Turtlebeach X12 headset and when I plug the mic/headphone jacks into the Sound Blaster Z I get no sound when swapping to headphones in the SB-Z control panel and also my microphone is not detected. I am using the latest drivers, I have disabled my on-board audio and uninstalled its drivers, and my X12 usb is plugged in for power. I also have double checked the connections from the headset to the SB-Z itself several times.
Sound comes out of my speaker setup and btw its crystal clear and I am extremely impressed with how much better the SB-Z sounds over onboard audio.

then about a month a go it stopped detecting and did the same thing several times but after a few restarts it would come back on
and by stop detecting as in the computer no longer sees the device
i have checked the bios the built in sound on the mother board is disabled so that isn't a factor
but this last time i was listening to a song and it gave a bit of a digital static sound than crashed my computer and the computer has stopped detecting the card
i've restarted and complete shut down and also checked bios as well as moved the card to diferent slots
but its really weird how it would stop detecting and then come back online
i don't know i would appeciate any advice
my machine is P4 3.0gig memory Corsair
20 gig hard dri've WD
asus 9600xt
asus p4p800 deluxe

The sound on my flash player stopped working. How do I fix this?

My flash player recently stopped playing audio. The video plays but there is no sound. What do I need to do to get the sound up and running?
