Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Drive upgrade
Hi
http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=3&subcategory=55&product=4659
Will this work with my X-Fi XtremeGamer (NOT Fatality version)? It says it only works with XtremeMusic and the XtremeGamer fatality, but there's almost no difference to the fatality, so will it work with the XtremeGamer non fatality card, or not?
thanks
no

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Internal Drive (Upgrade Opti
I own a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, and in the instruction manual and on your website you mention a Internal Dri've Upgrade Option like the one that comes with the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum. My question is i have found similar products available for the Sound Blaster Li've series, but i have not found that product available as an upgrade for the audigy 2 zs. Could you tell me if it is not in production or if the li've di've IR is compatible with the audigy 2 zs. Also the manual noted a adapter needed for the spdif out, were is that available?
Anoddin,

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Drive Upgrade Kit ( 30SB02510000
Why can't I buy one of these in the UK?http://us.creative.com/products/prod...6&product=4659?Thanks for any help. nick
When you see prices marked on items in the states then that is without any tax.Depending on where you are in the states the tax you pay can be different.State, county and whatever other tax is payable. Also you have NO way of getting a replacement if something goes wrong with it. Good that you buy/import/get shipped to the UK from the states cannot be replaced outside of the states.

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ZS And Vista Driver installation prob
HI!
I encounter Installation problems with that file:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit XP and Windows Vista Pack .04.0077
I Use Vista 64Bit Ultimate and when I try to install this package I have an error message after my language selection. Is there a known issue for this
Thanks!

Yes it is called trying to install the wrong driver for your card. Will work much better if you try installing the correct one,
SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe
Also helps if you click on the "Show Details" link on the download page, then you would see that the one you tried to install doesn't support your card,
Requirements:
Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS, or Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit audio devices
whereas the correct driver shows the following,
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy including Platinum and Platinum eX series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 including Platinum, Platinum eX, and Value series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS including Platinum and Platinum Pro series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro and Sound Blaster Audigy 4

Sound Blaster card won't install driv
I bought an old sound blaster li've! 5. sound card about 4 years ago and used it on my old system. Everything worked great and continued to work great till the very end. Just last week, I built a new system and I wanted to use my old li've! 5. sc, but my new computer is having a lot difficulties making it work.
When I first tried using the old installation CD that originally came with it, it just stops installing at 2%. So I Control+Alt+delete to close the installation process, but it already created a folder on my start menu with some incomplete programs.
Then I decided to install the drivers via downloading them. Unfortunately, that didn't work because my computer says it doesn't detect a sound card.
I tried moving it onto a different PCI slot, and when windows booted up, the "found new hardware" window popped up and I think I was able to install the driver from the CD. I was able to hear sound from the speakers, but only from the front 2.
Even though there was sound, my computer still can't recognize my sound card. When I tried again to install the mixer and other programs, it still freezes at 2%. When I go to the 'sound and audio devices' menu, I see that it's using Emu0Kx Audio [D000] to play the sound.
What's the reason why I can't install anything and why my computer refuses to recognize my sound card? If possible, I'd very much like to salvage what's left of this card.
Thanks.Hi Herb,I am having the same problem as you . I am unabe to use the headphone jacks in the front of the dri've. The card doesn't recognize it. Have you found anything that can solve htis yet.sam2:smileysurprised:

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS Driver 01.04.0
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit Vista Beta Driver 0.04.0055
Yeah, 32-bit, wooo.
When will a 64-bit version be available?Has anyone tried the "AMD64" Driver for the Audigy Value (I assume this is the SE?) that is on the bundled CD?
I tried different driversets from the download/support site to no avail.
I didn't think about the CD driver until I got to work this morning.
Really wishing I picked up the Li've! (yesterday) instead of the Audigy Value now
...expected this card to have a better chance, especially with "x64 drivers" on the box.
Oh well, I'll give it one more shot tonight with those CD drivers... hopefully something will work.Message Edited by abz on 2-07-200604:08 PM -

Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Drive Compabil
Hey,
I know I've posted in a few threads, but I didn't quite make my issue clear.
Should the X-Fi I/O Upgrade Kit work with any X-Fi card?
Should the X-Fi I/O Dri've from a Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum work fine with a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatalty Professional?
Thanks in advance for your replies.<div align="center">Solution: Get Linux.

Issue with Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit driver
,Issue with Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit driverw Hello, I have a 2004 Dell Dimension DIM900 and a couple months ago it began making a loud crackling noise sporadically. It sounds like real ear-piercing static, like when a microphone is being plugged in, only in short random bursts at alternating pitches so I originally thought my speakers were blown. I turned them off and decided to use a headphone set only to hear the same annoying sound.
I looked in the sound settings and read that I have a Sound Blaster 24-bit internal driver in my system, assuming that information is correct.
What can I do? I did the search and read the read on those X-Fi drivers that had a similar problem, but I didn't know if that was the same as this because the thread concluded that their problem was exclusi've to systems with Nvidia dual SLI graphic configurations and X-Fi drivers. ? Any input would be appreciated, thanks!Hi IT5,
May I know if this Li've! 24bit came pre-installed on your Dell computer or did you purchase & install the sound card separately? -

Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio:
http://se.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=&subcategory=208&product=5855Maybe there are no driver updates available yet .
Also, is it goin' to be X-Fi drivers or some others ... since, by the picture behind below link, the DSP used in X-Fi Xtreme Audio is CA006 instead of the original X-Fi DSP, CA20K.

Sound blaster live 5.1 digital drive
I bought this from newegg model no. SB0220 sn. MSB02243440746S and can not find drivers?
Race30,
I would try the Li'veDrvUniPack download from out website. Go to:
http://us.creative.com/support/downloads
and in the search box type in Li'veDrvUni and it should take you to the 23.3 MB file you need. If this card is OEM these drivers may not install however it is worth a try. If this doesn't work you may want to contact NewEgg to obtain a driver CD from them.

Unable to boot to Vista with Sound Blaster XFi Fata1ity Pro Series driv
I installed Vista Home Premium x86 as a second OS on a partition in conjunction with XP Pro. When I installed the Creative Vista drivers for my Fataity Pro Series I can't boot into Vista, it keeps restarting. I can, however, boot to XP and the card still works perfectly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Can not detect Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on this sys
Im having trouble install drivers (apart from the old CD ones and some out of date ones) all the latest drivers or beta drivers say they cannot detect my card. I have an Sound Blaster Audigy 2 OEM which i bought nearly 2 years ago. I've tried swapping it to a different pci slot but makes no different Constant crashes when playing openal games. Even if i install the lates openal file. But i need to find out why i can't install the newest drivers and why they say i haven't got an audigy 2 when i have. In my device manger even says that its an "Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM)" My system is as follows...
Windows XP Proffesional SP2 32Bit
P4 3.0ghz
.25Gb DDR 400 Ram
Geforce 6800 Ultra 256Mb
Asustek P4P800-E Deluxe Motherboard
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 OEM
PCTV Rave TV card
Please some one help me, it will be greatly appreciated. If you need anymore info please let me know ( i may uninstall and remove the tv card just to get it off my list of perhaps the audio part of the tv card could be interfering ?)Message Edited by Alexia on -2-2005 :52 PMI am getting the exact same problem. Just downloaded the "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy unified series Beta driver with OpenAL support 2.08.0002" for my soundcard which is an Audigy 2 OEM (Model No. SB0240).
I am using WIndows Media Center Edition 2005, but when I try to install the beta drivers, I get the following error message:
"Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this setup program
Setup will exit."
My Device Manager shows Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM) with driver version as follows:
Driver Provider: Creative
Driver Date: 23/06/2004
Driver Version: 5.2..444
I am currently hearing sound fine (so the soundcard is installed correctly), but the sound keeps cutting out from games that use OpenAL.
Anyone else getting this problem? How did you fix it's -
