Sound card usb for mac

Salve, ho un sistema audio con ingressi per altoparlanti anteriori, posteriori e sub. Esiste una scheda audio usb che sia compatibile con Mac OSX?

The Griffin Technology FireWave will give you the 3 'cables' ("FireWave outputs six channel audio through three 1/8” (3.5mm) stereo mini-jacks: Left/Right, Center/Subwoofer and Right Surround/Left Surround.") connection for surround sound (speakers) audio. Whether or not a particular headphone set is compatible, you might ask Griffin directly about that. If you're playing a DVD with VLC or the Apple DVD Player, you will get surround sound. But, you'd have to find an MP3 with multi-channel audio inside it to play surround sound out of iTunes.

  • Compatible external sound card needed for mac mini...

I need an external sound card for a mac mini.  does anyone know which ones are compatible?

My experience is with consumer-level devices, not "pro" gear.  If I'm understanding correctly, you want to use the built-in sound output jack on the Mac mini with headphones, to monitor ("preview music"), while you use USB to output sound to a "mixer board."
I used a USB device a while back called PowerWave (from Griffin Tech).  I could output sound to it, and it acted as an amp to power standard "living room" (not self-powered) speakers.  It also had a mini-stereo jack on it, like the one on Mac mini, which could be used with headphones at the same time (I put a self-powered subwoofer on that output).  And it also had sound input.  It was very cool.
I also used a FireWire device called FireWave (also from Griffin Tech).  But that was more of a way to add 5.1 surround sound output to a Mac.
There is a current USB device from Griffin Tech called iMic.
    http://store.griffintechnology.com/desktop/imic (says "out of stock")
    http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-7725-IUAI-iMic-Audio-Interface/dp/B003Y5D776/ref=s r_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1339226388&sr=8-2
It's sort of a cheaper version of that old PowerWave, with a more limited set of features (no amp).  It does provide audio output (and input) from a USB port, and it's relatively inexpensive.  But, I'm not sure if you can send sound output to TWO devices at the same time, using standard system settings (if that's important for what you're doing).
I also found out about this recently

    Hello,
Since you downgrade your laptop to xp, drivers are not installed properly, if you check on our website and choosed xp for the operating system, driver are limited, I suggest to return computer to its original factory condition, might wanna consider ordering the recovery disc if you did not create one

Your sound driver is IDT high definition audio and not a Conexant, Using the driver for Conexant would not work
If problem is still there, pls inform me

  • Audigy 2 sound card drivers for windows 7

    hello,
Audigy 2 sound card drivers for windows 7.
I bought the card from a friend no longer used. funtion perfectly on Win XP, but I have a system equipped to win 7 / 32 bit. unable to install a driver to work, the soundcard is recognized, but the properties says "This device can not start. (Code 10)". All software is installed. But I think the driver is the problem, I downloaded the package from the site, they also have a software autoupdate, but everything ends with error.
    SB0240 Audigy2
    Some help pls.

    back,
my operating sistem seems to be the problem.
i instaled a new clean win 7/64 and the driver is ok.
now, my currently operating sistem works verry fine and i don't want to format.
i have many software programs instaled in a period time and it took me some time to instaled again.
what sollution is in this moment?
my sistem (win ultimate 7/32 actualy) is daily updated.
is there any possibility to remove all audio drivers, including montherboard and audigy and reinstal all?
    thank you.

  • Will FCP X and QT will output audio thru any sound card that the Mac recognizes?

I watch FCP X video on my Mac Pro video monitor.
I want to output the audio thru a sound card to my audio monitor controller. My new digital audio monitor controller connects USB to the Mac, and USB is not an output option with FCP X. So, I need another audio path.
I have previously used a Pro Tools HD Native card for sending FCP X audio out, and this works fine.
I assume that any other sound card that works in the Mac (i.e., compatible and selectible in Mac Pro Sound Preferences) would work with FCP X, but I am just checking to be sure this is right before I buy something.
I am aware of potential sync issues, so I would use only a low latency sound card. The Pro Tools card, for instance, had very low latency and worked fine.

    OK, forget it.
I can just use the Mac Pro optical digital out.  Doh.
Some days the brain just won't lock into gear.

  • Sound Card Specs on Mac Pro Late 2013

Does anyone have detailed information about the Sound Card used in the Mac Pro Late 2013 or where I can find these?
Is this sound card capable of outputting a digital signal capable of professional audio processing? I'd like to connect it straight to a high end external DAC.
    Thanks!

I'm currently using a Meridian Explorer. It works quite well for me with my Audio Engine A5+ active speakers.

  • Creative Xi-Fi 5.1 USB for Mac OS X

    #C Hi,
I just bought the new iMac 27" i7 and want to update the soundcard with an external one.
Is the Creative Xi-Fi 5. the best external solution I can get from Creative? And will it support Mac OS X Snow Leopard?
I have the Creative Gigaworks s750 surround set. It's a 7. set, but a 5. external surround card is ok, as I don't think i will find a 7. external sound card!
    Please give me your thoughts!
    thanks :-)

    hi,
i don't know about the MAC OS suppport, but the support for "newer" windows is terrible, since some years, since Vista.
I use atm the onBoard sound for gaming. my very expensi've X-FI-Gaming-card is useless (and that hurts^^ so I try to sell it, and buy me a Xonar^^...without software support EAX is dead at all too, on a newer OS), because there are no good drivers & software without massi've sound-bugs for Win7. and this problem has nearly every Win7 user.
at the moment I would not buy so things before i know about realy working drivers

  • NEW SOUND CARD NEEDED FOR HOME PC, HOW TO CHOOSE AND INST

I am running Windows XP on Home PC bought 2003. The sound card is integral with the motherboard. Now the soundcard is not working. I have done tests, including headphones to output jack in the PC, no sound. No mute buttons are ticked. The speakers seem fine. So question is: can I buy a Creative sound card, and put it in the PC myself? I have Video Logic ZXR-500 5. Channel Speaker System. Motherboard info: Gigabyte 7VAX, KT400, DDR, 8X AGP, USB 2, LAN, 6Ch AC97. Sound Card info: Onboard 6 Channel AC97 Audio. The company who built the PC have closed down. I would like to use my PC to play CD and listen to Radio, Video cli
    ps.
I do not use it for gaming. Please let me have your advice. I could pay somebody to fix the new sound card, which I should like to buy from Creative, but also not sure which sound card to buy, or if this is possible, since the existing soundcard cannot be removed. Maybe I could try an external sound card via USB? Many thanks. Halton

    Hi Halton,
For listening to music and internet radio any of our cards should be fine, the budget cards are for instance
    Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit
    Audigy SE
    Audigy 2 Value
Regarding disabling the onboard audio, I can't give you a set of specific instructions, as this can differ per motherboard. Usually you can get into the BIOS by holding the Delete key (when specified) during the boot process. The BIOS screen is usually a blue background with white text. Onboard audio could be listed as "AC97" (which you set to enable or disable). If your PC or motherboard came with a manual, it may have some detail on how to change this.

  • Any plan of releasing REAL WORKING sound card drivers for windows 8.1 one day???

    Hello,
As you probably saw, I am one of the countless people having an issue with my sound blaster card with windows 8.1, and desperately waiting a new proper driver until months now... in vain, and with no answer from anyone from the creative support team, who are just ignoring it...
I say countless, because I can see over Internet a huge amount of people having those issues, and this forum doesn't represent it, because it is a pain to get the account activated to post anything.
Here is my question : can I throw away my relatively new high end sound card like a piece of useless crap now and buy a real piece of hardware, or are you planning to give us a chance of not wasting our money soon??
Just for your information, Realtek has released their working windows 8.1 drivers since 5 months now.
I know that Creative is in a position of strength in this market, because there is almost no other viable options, but does it means you have to abuse it?
Sorry if my message seems a bit hungry, right now I really feel like a disappointed customer who was trusting this company to buy a really great piece of hardware, but sadly can't get it working anymore, and being ignored.
I believe that being ignored is the least respectful answer of all.

Well, that is exactly what I was saying... still no answer from anybody.
Seriously Creative, when you want to make a product become obsolete by releasing a new version of your products (SBX), you should at least have the honesty to say that the old products are not supported anymore in windows 8.1...
I have installed windows 8.1, with no possibilities to revert back to windows 7, knowing from your website that my card is compatible (see here), and now my sound card is just an expensive useless piece of electronic taking dust on my desk... which i bought less than one year ago.
From your silence, should I guess that there will be no update or support anymore for this card in windows 8.1? In that case, is their any way I can send it back to creative technical support to exchange for a working model? Or at least a discount for the new model??

  • PC-wifi Card adapter for mac

ok so heres the problem. cingular offers a wifi card that would just plug into a pci slot on a pc laptop for internet access all over the nation. http://onlinestorez.cingular.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phones/phonedetails.jsp ?id=cdsku9870019
pretty sweet stuff. now the box of the card only lists windows capability, but what i was wondering is if mac powerbooks have slots similar or equal to that of which i would find on a pc, or if there is an adapter that is made for such. the reason i dont know this is casue i dont own a mac as of now but i am a realestate agent and am planning on buying a laptop and i have my heart set on mac. i just need to make sure all my business needs are met, and this is one feature that i would find advantages. thanks for all your help.

Only the 15" and 17" PowerBooks have CardBus slots which you can insert PC cards into.
Your link does not work (asks me for my zip code which I don't have), so I can't work out which Cingular product you are referring to.

  • Need sound card driver for Win 7

I have recently bought a used computer with Windows XP and loaded Windows 7 on it, but apparently when I was downloading Windows 7 it erased the sound card and now I have no audio.
Before I loaded Windows 7 I +did+ have sound, and I had tested the sound out on a preloaded game.
I have tested out the sound on multiple videos on YouTube after downloading the program, but there was no sound. The little speaker on the bottom-right of the screen had an x over it, which is unusual, so I went to the Control Panel and found that I had "no audio output devices installed".
Where can I find a virus-free sound card download? (Preferably one by Microsoft, and if possible, free)

If your problem is anything other than you have installed W7 on a laptop that Toshiba don't support for W7 (check Download Drivers at the top of this page) then I'd like to know W7 32 or 64 bit, laptop model and what device manager shows for your sound card.
There is a thread running in the Satellite P series board on sound + p100 + W7
