Sound coming through speakers

Hi all,
I just got a PC with Windows 7, home 64bit and have added CIT200 to it. All works well with one exception, the sound comes through the speakers instead of through the phone. The phone seems to work but what can I do to make the sound come through the earpiece?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Phil

Are you sure you have installed the software and drivers.
USB devices such as what you describe often need drivers or software for Windows to recognize it, and the features they have - i.e sending sound to headset at the push of a button.
It's common in the OS installs to forget such things, so I'd like you to rule this out first.
I guess the driver for the CIT200 is not compatible with Windows7..So try to run the setup in a WindowsXP compatibility mode.

  • Skype sound coming through speakers not headphones

Recently i got my hard drive changed, and since then skype sounds have not been coming through my headphones. people can hear me i just cant hear them as well. Its annoying since everything was working before. And the sound of youtube videos comes through fine.
so im not sure what it is.
    Anyone help? Thanks

This is really a horrible bug, because it inappropriately routes sound through the speakers that isn't even related to Skype. For example, I am listening to a radio stream and, when I receive a Skype message, that audio blasts through the speakers.
I can't imagine why Skype would design its software this way on purpose, nor why I would be required to change ANY setting in Skype to fix something that Skype broke.

  • No sound coming through speakers

I have a HP Pavillion DV6 earlier and today an Insyde Flash window popped up, I didn't know what it was and didn't trust it so I closed it, a few seconds later a CMD window opened and closed then the sound on the video I was watching starting stutering and stopped so I went on another video and the same thing happened and there was no sound on spotify so I rebooted. When I turned my laptop it was all normal so I went back on spotify and noticed a message at the top that says "There is a problem with your sound card. Spotify can't play music." and still no other windows will produce any sounds, I then realized I can get sound on things like youtube or games through my earphones, except spotify won't play any music and still produced the same message, I'm currently doing a system scan and updating 11 things that were waiting for me, none of which seemed to have been from Insyde. I'm really stuck with this and hoping someone here will help me out.

    Hi:
    Please try the following...
First perform a hard reset of the notebook and if the audio doesn't return afterward, then try reinstalling the audio driver.
Hard reset instructions at the link below.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=...
If you are still without audio, go into the BIOS and set the defaults, save and exit.

  • Morese Code sound coming through my external speakers

Recently I've been getting Morse Code sounds coming through my external speakers. It's not all the time but at least 2-3 time a day. Any idea?

If I have my cel phone near my iMac, every now and then I get a sound that could be described as Morse code like. It has no lasting effects, so I don't worry much about it.

  • How can I play music on my macbook pro (OSX Lion) through a Pioneer receiver. I've connected them with a mini display port to HDMI cable with audio support bought at the Apple Store, but there's no sound coming through. thanks

How can I play music on my macbook pro (OSX Lion) through a Pioneer receiver? I've connected them with a mini display port to HDMI cable with audio support bought at the Apple Store, but there's no sound coming through. There are 4 HDMI-in ports on the receiver - BD, DVD, DVR/BDR and audio. In my system preferences for sound, the receiver doesn't show up as an output option. Can anyone please advise. (ps, this is my first time posting a question, so I hope I can find your answers!) thanks, JP downunder

For sound, try the audio output port and connecting to the RCA  audio input ports on your Pioneer receiver.  Use something like this:

  • Any way at all to STOP sounds coming through bluetooth?

Whoever designed this should be strung up...
Is there any way to STOP sounds coming through my bluetooth headset? It is so incredibly distracting when I'm on a call and the stupid calendar goes off, I hear an email come in, a text message, etc.
I have an iPhone 4 and Plantronics Voyager Pro.
I know one way is to turn on the mute switch on my iPhone, but I don't want to do that like 8 million times a day.
I'd simply like to NOT hear everything ringing in my ear when I'm trying to have a simple conversation.
    Anyone?

I'm assuming you have an A2DP compatible headset. If so, see if you can disable A2DP on the headset. You can do so on the Jawbone Icon, not sure about others.
To my knowledge, there is no way to disable A2DP on the iphone itself.

  • Sound coming through headphones not T7700 speakers

I recently bought the T7700 speakers for my Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro and have been experiencing alot of problems trying to get them to work. All connections are correct, however there is no sound coming out of my left speaker, but all others are fine. I discovered when i plugged my headphones into the jack on the external hub that i could hear the sound coming out of there. I've tried uninstall all drivers and reinstalling but to no effect. Any suggestions?

    Hey,
For the other person being able to hear you echo, during a Skype call. I have included the link 'Solutions to Your Skype Echo Problem'. This link will take you through different steps of try to cancel the echo. You can also try the steps in the video 'How to fix Skype echo problems and improve call quality'. Most of the steps here a duplicates of the previous link.
The last step that I would suggest is looking into the Call Echo at Skype.com/support. This site has a lot of troubleshooting information that you can try.

  • Sound Not Coming Through Speakers

I'm trying to watch a video on a Youtube style website, but the sound isn't coming through my external speakers, it's coming through the internal one in my tower. All other sounds (iTunes, Quicktime, etc) come through fine. I experienced this problem a long time ago, and it was eventually solved, though I don't remember what I did (or if I did anything at all). So far I've restarted the computer and made sure the correct speakers were selected in the system preferences. Where should I go from here?
    Thanks

The audio hardware can be set to various sample rates. There are several ways applications can deal with this:
    A) output sound at whatever the sample rate setting is.
    B) produce no output if it can't handle the current setting.
    C) change the setting to something that will work, but reset it to the original when finished.
    D) change the setting, and don't reset it when finished.
Type A and C applications won't cause problems, but if you use a type D application that uses an unusual setting, followed by a type B that can't use that setting, you will get no sound. Garage Band is a type D application that uses normal sample rate, and running it will often fix sound problems, but the Audio MIDI Setup Utility gives more control.

  • Some audio coming through speakers, some through headphones

I have an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.1 with an additional thunderbolt monitor.
I am having an issue where all computer related sounds (screen cap, email, error etc.) are coming through the speakers of my thunderbolt monitor when my headphones are connected (wireless and wired, I've tried both)
My system prefs are set to have all audio come through the headphones specifically (Not even set to internal speakers, not display audio)
I have no clue why this is happening.

    Hi
Try to download the Audio driver from HP.com and update also run a BIOS update
    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html
Put the product number of the unit you have.. Chosse the OS and download..
    Hope this helps.

  • Typing Coming Through Speakers

THIS IS MY WORK COMPUTER (so don't be confused by the PowerMac listed as my computer)
Okay, this is weird. One day - all of the sudden - I began to hear the sound of my fingers typing on the keyboard coming through my speakers. This has never happened before...
I have gone to SOUND settings and the only way I can fix it is to turn off the internal mic... not something I prefer to do.
Somehow I have changed a setting so that there is now "micrphone play-through"
    Any ideas?

Hi, tjk and Singitloud. I've been following this thread with interest, and at one point I wrote a suggestion to add to it — but apparently I hit the Back button instead of the Post Reply button, so as I discovered later, it was never posted. What I wrote was to reduce the sound input volume, in case the mic was picking up way more than it should because the input level was set too high. But then I tried boosting my own input level all the way to maximum, and still couldn't hear my own typing through the speakers. I gather from what you say, tjk, that I shouldn't be able to hear it through the speakers, so my suggestion neither changes anything for me, nor promises to help Singitloud at all. Sorry, but I'm in the dark too.

  • X61 Thinkpad. Inserting power cable Stops Sound coming through the Jack Port

A very confusing Situation has arisen for me with my new(ish) x61 Thinkpad. When I connect power to the device Audio stops coming through my external speakers plugged into the microphone jack, And instead plays on the onboard speakers. It will remain like this until I disconnect power.
I have no idea what has caused this and sofar all my Google searching hasn't Given me any relevant information, So any idea's or solutions you may have are greatly welcome and appreciated.

That doesn't appear to be a US model, and this is the forums for Toshiba USA. You may want to contact Toshiba in your region. If it's a European model, you could check the Toshiba Europe forums.

  • Unwanted sound coming through after export

After completing two projects in imovie '09 I exported the projects via the export option. Upon playing the exported projects sound from the actual video comes through even though it was muted in the original iMovie project. When I play the project in iMovie it plays fine and there is no original audio coming through but as soon as I export it, the audio comes through. I have tried to export it and save it as .mov, mpeg, you name it but no matter what I do the original audio always comes through after export. Is anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions? HELP!

Thanks for the reply. The point at which the audio comes through is a clip that I have sped up; however, once the audio comes through during that clip it continues to come through on the following clips that are regular (not sped up or slowed down.) Do you think that because the clip is altered in that manner that it is corrupting the clip through export? Thanks

  • Alarm does not sound off through speakers

The alarm sounds off through the speakers when I select the type of sound to produce. However when it goes off after the time is up it only sounds off through the head phones. This is my first iPod; is this typical?
Otherwise have to say that the Touch has made me a fan.
    Cheers.

    Hello,
I cant recall how it resolved but its seems to have done so on its own. I think that someone said to try to plug and unplug the earbuds. Maybe the connection on the inside just had to physically disengage to engage the speaker. The unit was relatively new when the problem presented and perhaps it was indeed a mechanical issue with the leads remaining in the closed position after withdrawing the ear buds.
    Good luck,
    T

  • "Thump" sound coming from speakers after upgrading to 10.4.10

After updating to 10.4.10, there's a not so loud but discernible "thump" sound coming from the speakers every like 5 minutes or so. Very anoying.
It's very easy to spot it when having external speakers connected to the audio port.
It just wasn't there before, anyone else having that??

I can't seem to find any of the posts you mention (??) about the "pop" sound, it has to be the same type of sound is very anoying I had to disconnect my external speakers.
My volume has been always very low, yes 1-3 clicks are not audible. I would hope they made an option of this lower volume thing just like the ipods have it, where one would decide where to limit (or not of course) the volume.
I hope they resolve this issue soon.
