Sound constantly dropping on BT sport

The sound is constantly dropping out watching Liverpool v Everton on BT sport Hd.   Are they ever going to sort this problem out, or do they just not care!

Hi Anotherbadname,

  • 2012 MacBook Pro Intel i7 (purchased May 2013) constantly drops airport connection. My 2006 MacBook Pro has no problems connecting and staying connected.

I received a 2012 MacBook Pro INtel i7 for my birthday this May 2013. It constantly drops my airport connection. My ancient 2006 MacBook Pro has no problem connecting to airport, nor staying connected. I've had to write this message several times as I keep losing the airport connection and have to reconnect. BTW: I am less than five feet from the airport base.
    Thanks for help.

After trying all of the above the suggestions, the problem returned as before. However, after digging some more I discovered that the issue appears to lie with the 10.4.10 version of the Mac OS; when I checked the software log under the system profiler I noticed that I had installed that update at about the time my Airport problems began. Apple then quietly released a v 1.1 combo update to 10.4.10 on July 2nd, which once installed appears to have resolved the problem. You can find the download at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx10410comboupdatev11intel.html
What's curious is that originally Apple listed that the v 1.1 combo update resolved some issues with RAW image data, and some sound problems, which don't seem to have anything to do with Airport.

  • I have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacBook. Constantly dropping internet connection or message "error connecting to the network" comes up. No wireless connectivity issues with windows 7 laptop or iphone.

I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The last few weeks it has been constantly dropping internet connection, and one of these messages appear on the page: "Safari cannot open this page because the server where this page is located isn't responding" or "Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the internet" comes up. I will check Wifi and I am connected. No wifi connectivity issues with iphone or windows 7 laptop, this doesn't happen with either of those devices. I have unplugged and reset router, cleared cache, still happening. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Macbook Pro 10.6.8 constantly drops my wi-fi network and joins Linksys which works but very slow

My Macbook Pro constantly drops my network and joins Linksys. It connects to the Internet but is painfully slow. Choosing my network again works for a while than goes back to Linksys. Any sugestions?

Try going to system preferences/network/advanced, airport tab, in the prefered networks pane highlight and drag your net work to the top of the list. See if it then chooses your network as prefered, hope this helps.

  • We used to have great service, now it sucks! Constantly dropping calls, dead areas that have never been dead. Getting fed up and getting no help from Verizon.

This is really getting old, no help from Verizon. Service was great 2 years ago now it sucks, Constantly dropping calls, dead areas where there used to be fine. What is verison doing to help this???

I have an iphone 5s, my husband has a casio, my sister in law has a Samsung, my friends have various phones we are all experiencing the same thing – dropped calls, no service and it is outside as well as inside the house or the car. At our residence and along the drive to work or to the store. I don’t text much or use my data much so I am mostly concerned with the telephone service.

  • External hard drive constantly dropping USB connection

Last week I bought a 1 TB drive from Hitachi to use for video storage and rendering, but it seems that every 15 minutes or so, the USB connection drops itself and then immediately reconnects. This of course proves to be a problem when it happens while I'm transferring data. I've had a number of uploads fail because of this and I don't want to start editing several hours of HDV video in FCP only to have the connection constantly dropped.
    Any thoughts/suggestions?
    Thanks.

I've recently started having similar problems with my external USB devices - including a 500GB Western Digital External USB drive. But it's not just the drive. I have a USB hub plugged into the left USB port and the whole thing was switching on and off - turning off my mouse, disconnecting my USB drive and restarting my iPhone charging (and restarting iPhoto every time, of course, to download any new photos).
Initially I suspected the USB hub (which has it's own power supply) had gone bad somehow but after reading about all the problems MacBook Pro owners have been having with their USB devices I'm not so sure anymore.
Trying the right USB port now to see if it exhibits the same problems. So far it's working fine with just the drive plugged in. I'll let you know.

  • I have an I Pad 1 with 64 gigs. It constantly drops me off the Internet for no apparent reason. Is there any fix for this problem?

My I Pad 1 constantly drops me off the Internet and programs. Is there any fix for this problem?  It started after the last update and continues to get worse.
    Doug

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

  • My new Macbook Air constantly drops its Internet connection.

Running 10.8.1. Constantly drops connection to Internet, even though Airport shows it's connected. Browser, email, etc., all say there's no internet connection. I can get reconnected by putting machine to sleep, then reawakening it, but eventually connection drops again. Sometimes it goes on and off for no apparent reason, sometimes it stays connected. But it mostly just drops it after a few minutes. Maddening, to say the least.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership. If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you also have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to  exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different.

    Hi,
Try a Hard Reset as follows.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.

  • Broadband constantly dropping out

My broadband constantly drops out. I am paying a fortune to BT to provided an unlimited broadband service and during watching one film this morning I've had to reboot my router 6 times so far and I'm still only half way through watching it. On top of randomly losing connection, when ever the phone rings connection is lost. Can anyone help. Really don't wish to call BT because I've spent hours getting no where with then before, on other issues.

welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
resetting your connection is the worst thing you can do and only makes matters worse.
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router you may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or if HH4/5 then go to troubleshooting then logs and you are looking for 2 line together when hub last connected to internet and they will show your connection speed and noise margin or if netgear enter 192.168.0.1). Then run  btspeedtester  (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results ( do not reset the router).
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home? If you conenct to test socket with a new filter and receiving a phone call drops your internet connection then you have a high resistence fault and need to report a phone fault to 151 not broadband fault.  get this fixed and connection will improve
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

  • Broadband Constantly dropping since Broadband Talk...

Firstly - if anyone from BT reads this and cares about customer service and support, get a grip it is the worst support I have ever had the need to contact!
Two weeks ago I finally swap my fully working and stable Netgear router over to a Home Hub, with the intention of getting rid of my Vonage VOIP service (which works a treat, but costs!) and use the Broadband talk service. The hub and phone arrived on the 10th (I think) and plugg in and all worked well ... however it would seem that I did not have the required broadband talk number and password. It took nearly two weeks of long phone calls to various people getting no where, when finally last night they activated it and sent out the relevant information via email!
However now my broadband connection is constantly dropping, and broadband talk light sometimes goes back to blue, but often just stays at orange ... and as the broadband is dropping (as I type, but hopefully I'll get a window to post it in) my internet connection is now useless.
Performing the line check on the BT website said there was a fault and gave me a reference number and a number to call. That's when two and half hours of passing around started. They tell me I don't have a line fault, that it is a fault at my end.... they seem **bleep** bent on finding something they can blame it on. Are you connected via wireless or ethernet, well I have both. Which operating system, well I have Seven, Vista, XP Pro, 98, Me, an PS3 and an Iphone. Then we move down the it must be the cables to the socket in the house (well not changed since last night when BBT was activated!), and then I have to move the cupboard in the hall to get access to the master socket to tell them what it looks like! What is the point of that one!!
I am told that it is purely a coincidence that it dropped when the BBT was activated (one **bleep** of a coincidence!) and after much more discussion finally I was told that he was 'honestly sorry' that I had a problem, and would book an engineer to look at it tomorrow between 8am and 1pm, but they need 48 hours to resolve it! Basic maths that one!
Has anyone else experienced these problems? Why is BT customer support so scripted and if your problems don't follow the tick boxes they are lost, and just start again? If I pay my phone bill late, I get charged a fee for doing so ... what compensation do I get for loss of service?
The broadband lights finally came back on so I'll try the post option.

Further to my last, this is a section of the event log from the router, the VOIP certainly appears to be having a problem.....  (I've removed my phone number so the ***'s are normally a number.

Ok, if you are connecting the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) to the existing wireless network, then the DSL in the next room is most likely a combination DSL modem and wireless router. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Although they may only be separated by a single wall, the building material used in that wall may be enough to prevent the AX from receving a "good" signal from the DSL router.
Since I don't know what computing equipment you have available, please check out this AirPort User Tip: AirPort - Optimal Base Station Placement to see if you can get some SNR measurements at the location of your AX. To do this properly, you will want to power-off the AX and only get these measurements for the DSL router.

My Airport Extreme is constantly dropping my internet connection on all of my networked computers.  It starts up again in about 2 minutes, but in the meantime, I've lost my websites and kept my clients waiting.  Any help?

I had the same issue in version v5.6 but after upgrading the airport extreme firmware to latest 6.1 it solve the issue...
