Sound cutts out while time line of song continue's

Hello every one,
I have a question to ask that's of a tolerable problem. Some time's the sound cut's out of my songs when I'm listening, and it happens in random area's through my play list's. It never happens in the same spot of the songs again so I know it's not the tracks fault or the download's. and when the sound does stop, the time line of the song keeps going, I just cant hear it. it's about ten seconds long when it happens.
I have the 8-gig ipod touch with wifi, and, ask to join a wifi setting off. It doesn't bug me that much when it happens but I am wondering if it could prove to be a bigger problem down the road. Possibly a known sign of memory or early ram failure?
Guru's unit! help a fellow ipod'r out please. lol
P.S. I love the product! She's my 1st ipod and Apple product, and I'm VERY pleased with it...
Thanks for reading!! Krempa...

I have the same problem except with Audio Books. Also the cutting out seems to have no bearing on whether the audio book has been downloaded form ITunes or from a CD disc set. Very frustrating.

    Hi
    No audio on DVD disc.
    Most common origin.
    1. Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
    • Use this in Your movie project
    2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
    (iM’08 & 09)
    3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provocing it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
    176x144
    480x360
    640x480
    720x540    960x540
    4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
    5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In
    6. Ed Hanna
Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
    7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
    • OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

The sound randomly cuts out while a track is playing in iTunes.  The track has to be stopped and restarted before sound returns.  Are their any fixes for this?

    Hello there, smalltowngirl93.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great in-depth steps for troubleshooting audio not playing in iTunes or Quicktime:

  • Zooming in/out while selecting parts of the audio file?

The company I am with use Cool Edit 2000 for our audio editing, in Cool Edit it allows you to click and drag to select parts of files while you are doing this you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. This helps for when you need to zoom in at the beginning of the sound and drag to the beginning of the file to delete any unwanted sound or lack of sound, zooming out while doing this allows you to do it very quickly.
I have tried the trial version of Adobe Audition 3 and I was not able to do this.
    My questions are:
    1. Was this feature removed?
    2. If not how do I enable this feature.
This feature will determine weather or not my company will purchase this software. Thanks for the time to answer my questions.

zooming isn't a problem its zooming out while dragging over the file to select it, basically what I am doing is zooming into the beginning or end of a file selecting the precise beginning or ending holding the left mouse button and dragging left or right while I am doing this I am zooming out to make it select what I need faster and deleting those areas away.
I just read about the top/tails view, I am going to check it out see if this helps.

  • Sound time line not visible while editing.

    Hi all,
I'm trying to edit a wedding AVI file that was ripped from a DVD. The ripping was done through ImTOO DVD Ripper Platinum 5, and the video played well with sound. Then I decided to import the video into Premiere to do some editing. After the video is imported, I dragged the file from the library onto the video time line. Normally when we do this in Premiere, corresponding sound time line will automatically appears below the video timeline. But it didn't happen for this file. Finally, when I play the file in Premiere CS3 Pro, no sound can be heard. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thank you!

    > Maybe he got divorced and he wants to cut all shots of the bride out (or paint a mustache on her)
Rotoscoping may be the solution in that case. But that leaves the question of why invest so much time to achieve that? The result may be that optically he married a nobody or a mustached person and who would want to advertise that?

  • Possible to use both optical out AND regular line out at the same time?

I currently have my computer speakers (logitech z560) hooked up to the mac pro via regular stereo jack in the back. I have an extra receiver that I would love to hook in to supply me with some needed sound for movie watching and what-not.. Is there a way to enable both line out - digital and line out at the same time?

You can set DVD Player's "Audio output" to "Digital Out" in its "Disc Setup" preference, while other applications use Line Out.
You could use a splitter on Line Out to feed your current speakers, and analog Line In on your receiver. When you want sound to both systems, set the receiver to Line In. When you want to watch DVDs, set it to Digital In. This will give you surround sound if the DVD has multichannel sound, and the receiver supports more than two channels.
If you really want the same output on the Mac Pro Line Out, and Digital Out, you can use the "Auxiliary Device Output" effect in Audio Hijack Pro
    <http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/>
It will not support more than two-channel audio.

  • Sound cuts out after any given amount of time, only way to turn back on is to reboot.

For reference, I am using a fully up-to-date mid-2012 model rMBP. Attached to my MacBook via USB I also have an M-Audio KeyStation 49i, which is where I have my headphones plugged in (probably not related in any way, but just noting this).
I first encountered this issue while using Chrome and listening to music on SoundCloud with Garageband open after the last Mavericks update yesterday. I initially thought it was a Chrome bug, and in doing some research, I found that other Chrome users were having the same issue as me, but it was related to PepperFlash (a version of the standard Flash player), and disabling it in Chrome Canary fixed the issue for them.
Unfortunately, it did not fix the issue for me, but I have refrained from using Chrome since then and stuck to Safari to ensure that it's not two issues with the same outcome.
Then I stumbled across all of the Mavericks users that are having sound problems; anything from crackling/popping to not working at all. It seemed, though, that everyone that was having the sound cut out for them entirely were not only having this happen after their laptops came back from sleep mode (which is not the case for me), but were able to fix it by restarting Coreaudio[d] or -- if they had been using the headphone jack on their Macs -- they just had to plug it in again and take it back out. Neither of these worked or were applicable to my situation. Some were able to get it working again by resetting the PRAM/NVRAM, and a few others seemed to be able to bypass the issue by using Soundflower, but neither of these solutions worked for me either. The only way I can get sound to work again is to restart my computer entirely.
After doing so, I am only able to listen to audio for a certain amount of time. It seems to vary depending on how much memory the task is taking up. Like I'll be able to listen to a track or two on SoundCloud, or attempt to record into Garageband for five minutes or so. If I'm in a Garageband project that already has a lot of tracks, I'll be lucky if I can even get through a few seconds before it cuts out entirely. There are very quiet crackling/pop sounds every once and awhile, but it is hard for me to distinguish if that is just the natural state of the hardware I am using or if it is related to background system sounds.
I'm at wit's end trying to figure out what the problem is, mostly because there are so many others with similar issues and varying hardware/software setups that it's hard to track down exactly what my own situation is.
I'd like to know where I should be exporting any error logs from so that someone can take a look at this issue.
    Thank you.

After doing some additional testing, I was able to get the sound working again without rebooting by:
    1. Unplugging the MIDI device.
    2. Resetting the audio input and output to "built-in".
    3. Plugging back in the MIDI device.
    4. Changing the audio input and output back to the MIDI device.
Still, though, the sound only lasts for a little while, and there doesn't seem to be anything indicating how or why it stops.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

I downloaded the flo rider song I cry and when it plays no sound comes out however other songs I ve purchase do play please help

Will the media file play with Quicktime Player? If it will then it's an iTunes issue. If it won't then you need to delete the file and download it a second time.

  • I'm doing a simple edit and after editing clips for a while I am dropping sound. Why is the sound dropping out?

I'm doing a simple edit. The clips audio is fine when previewed or when in the time line. However, after editing for a while the audio is now dropping out. I have moments when just a frame or two drop our or even several seconds. What can I do to fix this without having to start over again? Thanks.

    Thanks for the info.
To my third question, how are you exporting? For example, if you selected Export Media before you added the third party effects, I would expect that the export went pretty quickly. If that is what you did, open that file in QuickTime and hit command i to show the format of your exported movie.
Or perhaps your Share workflow was "send to Compressor"?
I don't have any experience Digital Hotcakes products. When you say "it worked" with the reception video, do you mean the same DHB effects you used in the multicam project? Was the reception video the same format as your multiclip?

  • SSO - session time out while navigating across applications

    Hi,
    Problem statement
Handling session time out while navigating across applications involving SSO
    Current approach
    Application 1
    1. Create session1.
    2. URL rewrite the sesssion ID1 into the link refering to App2.
    Application 2
    1. Create session2
    2. Get the session Id of App1.
    3. send the session ID of App1 in the header
    4. Invalidate the session2
    Application 1
Get the ID from request and invoke getSession.
I'm having a very large session timeout at App1.
Is there a better approach. Ex: Having global session which is shared across multiple
    webapplications.

I have similiar problems in my system. What do you do if the session 1 times out
during ongoing operations in App 2 ?

  • Program times out while looping at internal table with huge records - Needs fine tuning suggestions

    Hi,
I am trying to execute a report. It times out while looping at vbap internal table. This internal table has 140000  records and does the validation within this loop and geenrates data for the output. Due to this huge volume, the program times out when executed foreground.
There are no nested loops, so I cannot apply 'Parallel Cursor' here.
Is there any way I can fine tune the program so that it doesn't timeout? Is it possible to apply 'Parallel Processing' . If yes, how?
    Thanks,
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan ,
->sort your internal table by all primary key for vbap.
->Read a Record from the table (use your condition here)
->if record satisfys your where condition ,get that record index .
->loop the table from the index (without condition) .
its like parallel cursor only but for single loop .;-)
->use field symbols ,wherever possible .
if still dump is coming ,contact your basis team .
    regards,
    Krishna.
