Sound device deleted by mistake

my sound device i think has been deleted by mistake, how do i go about reinstalling it so i can play music files etc? is there an online download i can use?

Usually after restart the sound card should be detected and installed automatically. If you start the unit what happen in device manager?
The sound card should be listed again.

How do I delete a sound device?

How do I delete an output sound device and how do I delete an input sound device? I don't know much about computers so I would prefer step-by-step instructions. Thanks in advance.

No sound device...and problems to shut down...

a friend of mine kicked by mistake my Mac and after that I lost the sound device...even though it runs sometimes...it got character I guess...
and it also doesn't shut down sometimes and freezes...so I have to turn it off taking out the battery...
that's the solution I found...but I might have a problem...
can some one help me?

Did all these problems start with the trauma to the iBook from your friend's foot, or were they already there to some degree? Especially the freezing? If you were already having problems, the accidental kick may have just served to make them worse.
There are some general things that you could try. You could find the set of CD's that originally came with your iBook and find and run the Apple Hardware Test and see if anything comes up in the form of an error code. You could try resetting the PMU. You could go to Disk Utility and verify both permissions and the disk and repair if necessary. You could check and see how much free space remains on your hard drive.
Freezing could be software or hardware related. Because of the trauma to your machine, it may well be hardware. Nevertheless, it is well to do a little hard drive maintenance and software troubleshooting just to be sure that software is not a factor here.
Please post back with how it went with the AHT and DU and resetting the PMU.
Also, you can apply pressure to the lower left side of your iBook and see if this makes any difference.

No sound Device detected on HP Pavilion m7650n

What's Up Peeps!! Happy Holidays to everybody.
Yesterday, when I logged on to one of my sons' computers - there was no sound coming out of the speackes on the HP w22 monitor. I checked to make sure it was plugged in and it was. According to one of my sons, the problem occurred a couple of weeks ago.
I then went to HP trouble shooting and followed all of the instructions will no success. To make a long frustrating morning short. I typed msinfo032 and got into property information. I checked on Components then Sound Device. The screen in totally blank.
How do I reinstall the sound device and get the computer to recognize it?
I do appeciate any help anyone can give me.

Adobe Reader LE: I DELETED BY MISTAKE

On my Nokia 700 handset I had a Adobe Reader LE pre-installed.
I deleted by mistake. There is no compatbile version in the Nokia Ovi Store for my Nokia 700.
Any way to retrieve it?

You can create backup using Nokia Suite and should be able to choose to re-install existing device software also.

Macbook pro 15 2009 : After last update Mountain Lion my sound device is gone !

So workin great untill I push the update Mountain Lion , after that my sound device gone !
If I boot in BootCamp there I have sound, also I took my laptop to service and they try a lot of things ...... includint resets and boot from external hard drive with Lepoard = working !
Just in my Mountain Lion Update i dont have sound device at all .
So pls do something with your updates before realease to foks like me ! Dont put as to read a lot of forum posts without a solution !
Im very nervous about what you did from last year with OS's including iphone .
SO I need an update or a something to recover that device back in Mountain Lion !

I have accidentally deleted my Audio/Sound devices on my Pavilion Dv4-1413TX. Now, I am not able to hear any sound from my com. It says that I have to install some kind of devices, and I'm not sure. Can anyone help me, please?

The easiest way to solve this may be to run Windows System Restore. If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable Nortons Tamper Protection as shown in Step 2, on the link below.

Once you've done this, shut down the PC. Windows System Restore is usaully best run in Safe Mode. Tap away at f8 as you start the PC to enter Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter. When this has loaded, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore. Pick a restore point before the Audio Driver was deleted and then proceed with the restore process. When complete, Windows will reboot as normal.

Can I restore contacts from I tunes deleted by mistake

while having my new I Pad connected to the pc and while synconizing, some of my ontacts were deleted by mistake manually! However, the contacts were available on the IPhone but when I connected the IPhone to the computer, the same contacts were deleted from the IPhone!
Is there away to restore the I Tunes status to retrieve my missing (deleted) contacts?

Contact are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service. Do the contacts still exists in that application on the computer or the cloud service (i.e. iCloud, Gmail, Exchange)?
If they do not exist there, then there is nothing to restore.
If you have not been syncing them as designed, you can try restoring the device using a backup created prior to the contacts being deleted to see if that restores them.

My computer is showing as a device with 'trouble' and it says it has NO driver for it.
What would happened if I removed that device? Would I again lose the ability to print ??

Do you have Windows 7? If so it is normal for the computer to show up in the "Devices" list. I would suggest you do not delete it.

X-Fi ExtremeGamer: NO SOUND Devices in XP Pro, but ASIO Programs Have Sou

When I goto: Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices and click the "Audio" and "Voice" Tabs, ALL devices are grayed out.
However when I click the "Hardware" Tab, and click on the X-Fi sound card, it says; "The Device is working Properly.".
All of the drivers are installed.
I went through a few issues of cracking and popping, then during boot-up when windows tried to play the boot-up sounds, the computer would crash and freeze.
I had to delete a DLL that my dumb ass did not write down, do to the fact I thought it was a virus and not a sound driver or sound device dll.
However after the dll was removed in dos, windows xp pro booted perfectly fine, but there was no mapped sound. All devices are grayed out, but the "Hardware" tab say the device is working properly.
The sound-card works in WaveLab and Nuendo with the ASIO drivers, just not in normal windows programs, or Windows XP itself.
I have been looking for solutions everywhere and cannot find any.
I am NOT willing to just reformat and reinstall.
I need to keep all of my data.
Please try to help me find the answer to this problem.
Maybe I need to find something that will reinstall the Windows XP basic sound services.
All I know is, if I find the answer, it will help MANY people that have the same problem.

Try to uninstall the whole Creative (the software and drivers) and then reinstall it again. This could be a problem because the XP software won't work on Vista and they may be conflicting.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

If the content you typed was actually saved before you quit the session, it should be there
later on when you open it again. There may be some settings in preference to auto-save
that may need checking; or perhaps there could be something else behind this issue...
