Sound distortion after virtual sound installation on Satellite A80

My sound distorts after i install virtual sound, it is driving me mad. I downloaded all the toshiba drivers.

Hello
Usually the sound should be much better using this tool. I can really not explain why this happen. Try to reinstall sound driver.
The unit is delivered with WXP Home and I assume that you try to install your own OS, probably professional edition. All drivers and tools should work properly with WXP professional too. Please check the installation instructions that can be also downloaded from Toshiba download site (http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satellite/sa80/win-xp/install-xp-na.zip). All this stuff must be installed in particular order.

  • 8460p - sound distortion after BIOS update

After updating BIOS to v F05  experience sound distortion at random times.
    Driver reinstallation does not help

Figured out - the problem is with HP Power Assistant. This program does something periodically and this makes sound distortion once in a minute or so.
Killing the process solves the issue. But it is a workaround to listen music normally.
Is anybody from HP looking at this forum?

    He Eldorado,
You teached me a wise lesson "first look to the obvious things". And yes it was the volume controller at the side (did not know there was one). But anyway problem is solved

  • Sound distorted after exporting, but is fine in Premiere

    Hi,
The project sounds fine in premiere, (and yes, I checked to make sure it doesn't clip above 0db), but when I export it as an mpg, the mic'd track sounds distorted / a bit garbled.
The really curious thing is that sometimes if I export just the first minute, the problem track sounds fine...but for longer clips or the full movie, the track sounds distorted...including the same section at the beginning which sounded fine as a shorter clip.
Now I am using the dynamics effect on the problem track, but (1) it has worked fine in other projects, with exact same settings (2) it sounds fine in premiere (3) it isn't clipping according to the premiere level monitors.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
    Screen shot of export settings:

I should also add that I am able to export the entire movie without distortion if I turn the dynamics effect off...However, the track really does need this effect, so I'd love to know why it's causing the problem. Again the stumper of why the effect sounds fine in a short clip, but that same section sounds garbled if it extends to a longer clip.

  • Laptop Sound distorted after updating to Windiws 10

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop which I have been using for some time now. I recently updated to Windows 10. Since then, my laptop's speakers do not seem to be working propery. There is a distortion in the sound and there seems to be a double echo when listening to sounds, especially when I am using headphones. The audio devide is IDT High Definition AUdio Codec. The device manager says that the device is workinh properly. However, the problem seems to be continuing. Is the problem due to the new WIndows system or do I need to update any drivers?

  • Sound distorted after upgrade to windows 10

sound playing is generalldistorted after upgrade to windows 10 pro. Individual sound elements in windows sound scheme seem to be OK.

Yup, you're not the only one with audio problems. I have a HP Split X2 also, my model is the m121-sa. The problem is that the company that makes the audio chips is IDT which has been sold to a new company called Tempo Semi Conductors (This has been done in early 2014). The new company will have to provide new Windows 10 drivers to support our audio chips, whilst they have made Windows 10 drivers for their newer chips; our old ones has no current drivers made officially for Windows 10. Microsoft are aware of this problem and will not be making any drivers - their solution is to use the Microsoft drivers by unistalling the driver through device manager and updating the driver to the Microsoft High Definition ones. The problem with the HP Split is that you loose beats audio and the audio is quiet, but it works on all apps. NEITHER HP OR MICROSOFT WILL PROVIDE A DRIVER That is above the IDT .6499. It is upto Tempo Semi Conductors to do this and they don't provide end user drivers but OEM's like HP. The problem only lies with metro apps, win32 apps such as Chrome has audio working... If you are having problems with the audio being quiet with the HP Windows 8 drivers (IDT), use the following settings. (though, I think my laptop is defective, but my warranty is gone so, I just turn up the treble - even though it sounds high pitched)  On a side note, my other laptop (Toshiba) have been good by providing drivers for all components - Hopefully, Tempo do provide support for IDT as not only HP but other companies also use this chip. By the way, do you problems with start menu being black and blurrly text? For some reason, Windows 8 drivers don't do this but Intel Windows 10 drivers do this. Miracast also only works on the .37 driver and not the newest Windows 10 driver; will need to test this further. Yes there are new TEMPO drivers, but these again  are for the new chips and not our old ones. It didn't work on my HP Split but you can try them below: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.html - notes for new driver 6.10.6504.0 http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501.exe - setup 6.10.6504.0 (64 BIT ONLY; WILL NOT WORK ON 32BIT) 32bit driver is 6.10.6503.0 EDIT: HP seems to be deleting my images. Not sure why.

  • IPhone 6 Plus speaker sounds distorted with popping sound when phone rings or alerts play.

My iPhone 6 Plus is less than a 2 weeks old but since day one its speaker sounds distorted.   The ringer or alerts or even the new email alert have a popping or clangy sound to them.  Is this a software issue or hardware?  My phone is uptodate and Ive tried hard reboots to try to alleviate the problem but it didn't fix the problem.  Should I try to restore it?  Also, If I take it in to my local Apple store and they replace it, will my new ZAGG screen protector just be a wasted $20???

  • Sound distortion after downloading artworks

I am using the latest version of itunes 7.0.1.8
It has seemed ok, until yesterday i decided to click on get album artwork.
The artwork was downloaded fine but the noice quality immediately after and since has been awful. I can only describe it as an interferance / distortion. It is a constant sound regardless of teh beat / tone of teh music. When i use any other program to run sounds or music (windows media, audacity, windows sounds) it works fine UNLESS itunes is running. If itunes is running all noise on teh machine is unbearable.
As soon as i exit itunes, all sound is good again.
When i first upgraded to itumes 7 i had some sound qulaity issues , thyat were resolved by the latest upgrade, but this is an altogether different and more prevalent sound.

Goto the PC makers site and update your sound card/drivers
In Windows goto Control panel>Quicktime>Audio tab check "Safemode" hit OK and reboot the PC for settings to take
If that doesn't work try the steps here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93610

  • Sound Distortion After Todays QT update.

We just updated our G5s here at the lab (Quick TIme and Garageband ), and now the sound output is extremely distorted and crackly regardless if its a video on cnn.com or a song off iTunes. Tried Zapping the PRAM and repairing permissions, even reinstalled QT from the standalone installer on apple.com to no avail. Any ideas?
Message was edited by: Liquidity X

Hmm...if the sound is distorted in all applications, then it doesn't sound like an update of QT or Garageband could have caused it. Are you using the internal speaker for sound, or some type of studio monitors? If you are using speakers other than the internal speaker, I would change the output device over to the internal speaker and see if you get the same problem. You can change the sound output device by going to system prefs->sound->output-> and selecting "internal speaker". If it is still crackling or you have only been using the internal speaker, plug in a pair of headphones and see if the sound crackles there as well.
If the crackling goes away when you switch output devices or plug in headphones, then the problem is with the individual output device (speakers). You may want to check your connections to make sure the speakers are properly plugged in.

  • Optical sound distorted after waking up the ATV2.

    Hi!
I bought an Apple TV 2 last week but have some problems with the sound. If the Apple TV goes to sleep and is woken up, it seems like the sound from the optical out doesn't work, until I turn on my TV and select the correct HDMI input. The sound is not completely gone, but it is very distorted and/or choppy.
Turning on the TV just to play music (iPad --> AirTunes) is ridiculous. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I've installed the latest official software.
    - KNude

I forgot to mention that I'm using a converter (Digital --> Analog) so that I can use an analog RCA output connection. The converter and the cables are working fine.
According to this thread I'm not alone with my problem: https://discussions.apple.com/message/16724425#16724425

  • Sound distorted after updating

I have iPod Touch 4th Gen, I was running the 4.2.2 iOS or something like that as it wouldnt allow me to update.
I found a way of updating last night by editing the host file, so I went straight to iOS6.
Since updating the sound is incredibly distorted. Tested with my iPhone 4S (iOS6) and working fine.
Looked around on forums and people had the same problem when upgrading got iOS5?
Done sound check etc and hasn't fixed the problem, it is 100% the update.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Sorry.
    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Sound ceases after 3.0 installation ipod touch 2g

There is no sound when going from video to music or vice versa after having installed 3.0
Apple has no answer to this problem. It is not possible to get back original operating system.
If this "glitch" is not solved, I would like to get replacement ipod touch with original operating system.
    ANY SUGGESTIONS
    Thanking you in advance.

    Suggestions steps-by-steps:
    1) go get some help from friends/iPod nerds (experts) nearby
    2) visit your usual Apple retail store and ask help
    3) throw your iPod away and buy a new one
As a fellow iPod Touch 2g, I never have that kind of problem after upgraded to OS 3.0 software. So it's not Apple's software problem but rather something else you might have done in your iPod before. Think, what could be the cause(s).
Tell all problems you know to people in the retail store. I'm sure they would very like to help you.
    Good Luck

  • Sound distorted after uploading

    Hello,
My problem is simple. After recording video with bandicam (doesnt matter OpenGL/DirectX or Screen), Win7 sounds are perfect. Untill I put that video into Premiere Pro, at that point sound bar looks like big fat sausage and without turning volume almost to mute you cant listen to it. What do you think the problem is. If that's gonna help : My PC (i5-3470 / Amd radeon r7 260x / 16Gb RAM)

This may help - Bandicam read #10 http://forums.adobe.com/thread/954394

  • Sound distortion after share with iTunes

I have used Garage band to record several lectures without any problems.  Over the past week, any time I share it with iTunes, I sound like a chipmunk in the play back.  I have tried converting the tracks into a new music and new podcast projects but it still does the same thing once I share it with iTunes.

the song on the iPod may not have been updated. be sure to delete the song from iTunes, update the iPod so that the song is removed, export the song from GB again, and finally resync the iPod
(an even better chocie would be to quit GB, rename the project ( http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/GBFAQ.html#renameproject ), open it and export. this way you can be sure you're playing the updated file)
