Sound does not come back on after switching to silent

I have an iPhone 5 and quite often i have to switch my phone to silent.
When I switch the phone back to normal, there is still no sound & I have to turn the phone off & back on again.
Is there any fix for this.
Also When I hit an area of bad signal (like the underground) my phone goes into NO SERVICE, as you would expect, but when I'm back above ground, my phone stays on NO SERVICE, resulting in turning the phone off & on again.
As a result of this I have to check my phone regularly to make sure that I have service.
Is this a problem with my phone, or are other people having this issue.
Apart from that I'm loving the 5....

I've had this problem with my iPhone 5c since April 2014 through several updates of iOS. In December 2014 I got my wife an iPhone 5s. She has the same problem. We're both seeing this on the latest update of iOS version 8.1.3.

CQ62-215DX hybernates upon closing notebook and does not come back on after opening screen again

My CQ62-125DX Product WQ5856UA#ABA shut down when book was closed in the on position. The screen remains black athough Cap lock light s intermitent. I shut down to reboot, and system sounds and acts as if t was coing o, but screen never lights up.
This happened only after the laptop screen was closed and reopened. after giving up I decided to press the power button three week later, and it came on, but thinking all was Ok after a couple of days, again I closed the laptop and screen will not come back on upon opening. It seems to gointo hybernate mode, but will not wake up again. If it happens to come on again I will go in and shut off the energy saving featues, so it does not go into hybernatiion, but mean while...... What fix do you have for this issue. I'm not doing anythingut of the ordinary, I look online, and see that many people experience these symptoms. Have you looked into this and figured how to solve this glitch?? Same thing here!! I was calling my wife and it happened 3 times in a row in a matter of minutes. I rebooted the phone and it went away. Hasn't crept up on me again, yet (knock on wood).
I don't know whether it makes a difference and whether they are technically the same, but I upgraded the firmware that was released 07/10/2008 that is from Apple's Servers from version 5A345 to 5A347 just to see if this fixed any last minute glitches.
I hope this problem never surfaces again. We all paid a lot for these and spent a lot of time waiting for activation.

Z87-G41 pc mate : monitor does not come back on after wakeup

Everytime the computer goes to sleep and wakes up, the monitor does not come on. I can shut it off and turn it back on and the desktop will flash, then goes black again. Just started doing this last week. I updated all drivers and this did not help either. I am running Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I have had this MOBO since last March with no problems. Any ideas?

I was thinking of a few recommendations for you. I recommend our iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant found here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_1. Start at section 1, if that doesnt fix it, then section 3, and if all else does not work, section 5. At section 3 I recommend closing ALL the apps.
Here is section 1 to get you started.
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.

The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

MBP does not come back after hybernation

Hello everyone,
I am enjoying my MBP except for one problem. It does not come back after it hybernates sometimes.
I hit a key, hear the superdrive do it's "thing" and then after much waiting (approximately over 10 minutes) no picture or video on the screen!
I can tell that it's still powered on because it's plugged in and when I hit the Caps Lock key it lights on and off.
The only way that I can get it out of this state is to hold down the power button, unplug the power cord, take the battery out, hold in the power button for 4 seconds, reinsert the battery and power back on.
I have to then cycle the power back off because the first time it does not come back but I just get the blank white boot screen and no 'apple'.
When I turn it back on the second time, it boots up.
Anyone else have a problem with this?

Yeah I have the same issue and am up to date. Apparently this is a pretty huge problem with the Macbook Pro since the last Graphics update after updating to 10.5.2.

I have been perusing through that topic and hopefully they will come up with a fix for this.
The only work-a-round that I have found (but haven't tested extensively yet) is to disconnect to the wireless, turn off blue tooth, disconnect my external monitor and then go into sleep mode. Then it always comes back. But if I leave it connected to the wireless, bluetooth, and external monitor - it's a crap shoot as to weather or not it will come back up.
This is pretty frustrating because half of using a laptop is being able to hybernate and sleep properly.
I even have the 'smartsleep' installed.

I work in full screen almost exclusively ... the toolbar and the URL are still displayed while in full screen.
Before this version (30.0), when I minimized Firefox to the taskbar so that I could go to the desktop or to Windows Explorer, when I finished what I was doing and re-selected Firefox it would go back to full screen. Now, it does not go back to full screen. I can still see the taskbar. I have to press [f11] two more times to get back to full screen.
I have tried with and without addons enabled. Same behavior. I have reset Firefox ... same behavior.
I'm using Firefox 30.0 and Windows 7 (64 bit).

Just tested it with a Logitech keyboard and you are right, what you are describing is not expected behavior. I see you do not have any add ons, however does this also reproduce in Safe Mode? [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
If yes, try a new profile [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]]

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:
Requirements for closed display mode:
Power adapter
External keyboard, mouse, or trackpad
External display

If you continue and you lose everything, you will be able to download most of the content again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID. You can read this about downloading past purchases.

But before you continue and lose everything, try this.
Eject your iPad, quit iTunes and restart your computer. Then launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. See if you have mutliple iPad backups showing in there. If you have multiple backups, delete all but one of them. Also check the box at the bottom that turns off auto sync .... Prevent iPods ......Click OK and Then quit iTunes.
Connect the iPad again and launch iTunes. Right click on your iPad name on the left side of iTunes and select backup. See if the iTunes will create a backup. If it does, after it finishes, click on the Summary Pane on the right and click on check for update. Try to update again.
If it all goes OK, after you update the iOS you can back to Edit>Preferences>Devices and turn on atuo sync again - assuming that is how you want to sync.

I have treid to export schema by pressing a button, (form designed in Form10gR2 and excute via Application Server R2. )
For this I have applied one by one these syntaxes

When my client/ user executes the command, session goes hang and application screen does not come back. If I execute the exp command directly from the Application Server Command Prompt then exp works.
Please help me, what is the syntax to get the dump wihtout hanging the session.

Application Server 10R2 Window2003.

Client Windows , Explorer, FireFox etc.

Hi Priya,
It is always a better practice to call a batch file using the host command instead of hardcoding the command inside form. Which would help you to modify the batch file for any changes, without re-compiling the forms.
In this case, create a batch script, which would set the ORACLE_HOME etc (to make sure the exp command is recognized, you need to add the DB ORACLE_HOME/bin to the PATH), and then call the command to export. You can also parameterize the batch script and pass the parameters from form, separated by space.

Apple TV uses iTunes. The reason you can't rent through your ATV is because you can't rent movies through iTunes Canada. Sadly, as this is a user-to-user forum, no one here would know when or if rentals will come to Canada.
