You have to learn to use the classpath and packages to run Eclipse-generated programs outside of the IDE, as it applies certain configuration settings that only work within Eclipse.
Read about that here, especially the documents about classpath, finding classes, javac, and java :

    many thanks.
    I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
    (Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • The sound doesn't play when I watch videos on  my nano 3g

    I can import the videos into itunes (mpeg), and then converting the selection for an ipod. I then put the video onto the ipod, but when I go to play it from the nano, the sound doesn't work. please help.

    It's an encoding problem: iTunes doesn't like multiplexed mpeg video. Doesn't matter if you convert them or not, the audio will still be messed up. I recommend using a 3rd party video converter (like Nero Recode) that can handle all types of video (mpeg/wmv/mov).

  • Sound doesn't play with video

    i just recently put a few music videos on my ipod and they play fine, but the music doesn't play along with them. also if i try to play the music then start the video, my ipod freezes up. can anyone help me resolve my dilemma here? thanks (:

    Quicktime, Quicktime Pro and iTunes don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
    See:iPod plays video but not audio.
    You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
    See this for help: Guide to converting video for iPod (Mac/Windows).

  • Sound doesn't play in Youtube videos.

    When I watch a Youtube video in Firefox, there is no sound. The same video has sound if I watch it in Chrome. Also, other types of videos have sound in Firefox. This started happening a few weeks ago. Until then the sound worked fine.
    I have Windows 7 and Firefox 23.0.1.

    Thank you all for you efforts. None of the suggestions solved the problem. However, the sound has started playing again on its own. I don't know why it stopped working & I don't know why it resumed working. But it is working now. Thanks again.

  • Sound doesn't play in project or source window only from timeline

    I have Premiere Pro CS4 and a problem just started occurring.  If I click on any audio file (not a video file that has audio) in the project window and then click on the play icon in thetop left of the project window I suddenly hear my microphone sound or no sound at all.
    Then I suddenly can't play anything on the timeline.  I can scrub the timelinme and see the VU metter levels move but get no sound.  The problem will go away.  If I play with my Creative Labs XiFi volume control on the task bar sometimes the audio comes back or sometimes it just comes back on it's own.
    If I launch a clip from the project window into the source window the same issues occur.
    If I play an audio clip from the timeline or launch a clip from the timeline into the osurce window it plays fine.
    If I switch from the creative Asio driver in Premiere to the Premiere default sound none of these problems occur.
    I thought it might be related to a recent update of my sound drivers so I did a system restore to a week before the driver updates and the same problem happens.
    It's like the microphone suddenly got mapped to my audio files in the project window.  I spent almost 3 hours on with Adobe being farmed around from tech to tech only to have them tell me that they were having issues transferring the call and that I would need to call back another day.
    I have Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 with 6 GB of Ram and all the latest updates.  If I disable the microphone then the software locks up when I try to play these files.
    Can anyone make any suggestions?

    I had to install a Creative card because the onboard HD sound on my Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard would not allow me to map 5.1 channels in premiere since it did not support Asio.  I tried using an Asio program in the background that was recommended as a workaround but it was problematic.
    Is it possible that my System Restore didn't fully roll back the drivers and that the updates are still the cause of the problem?  I didn't try a complete uninstall/reinstall because I assumed the System Restore was rolling back the drivers.
    Creative has no phone number to call only a tech support email form.  What's weird is that I now notice that I can't seem to mute the microphone at all and had to unplug it.

  • Sound doesn't play

    Hi,
    I've added this code in the event listener of a button, bout the sound never plays:
    URL url;
    url = new URL("file:/blah/blahblah/blahblahblah/error.wav");
    AudioClip essai = Applet.newAudioClip(url);
    essai.loop();
    nothing happens when I run it, no error or exception, even if I specify a non existing path.
    What have I missed?
    Do I need to have write rights on the /dev folder.
    I tried to play sounds with xmms and they play fine using the 'libesdout.so' plugin

    I think it's due to my configuration:
    the 'play' and 'mpg123' commands return they can't open the device : /dev/dsp
    I'll see with the UNIX support to see if that can be fixed.
    I don't see any other explanation for the moment.

  • Another "sound doesn't play out of right side of headphones" topic.

    I don't know why this happens. My friend, who knows a crapload more about audio and electronics than I do doesn't know the exact reason why this is happening.
    Nothing in the headphones port has been badly damaged, yet I've only had my video iPod for about two and a half months now. I've asked at least 4 different people to try using their headphones with my iPod (one person actually had the same problem with his iPod nano), and they all said the same thing: "There's something wrong with your iPod."
    Though I do drop my iPod quite often, it has a third party case that does the job of protecting it from scratches and other abuse quite well. I've never dropped it onto anything like cement, I don't subject the thing to large amounts of weight. I treat it as if existence as we know it depended on my iPod still being able to function properly.
    There's an Apple Store not too far from my house, but it's located in an extremely busy shopping mall. My art teacher, who's had his 5G iPod for nearly a year, says that they'll fix it for free, provided that it's still under warranty. However, I don't know if my iPod is still under warranty....

    A case won't protect your iPod from internal damage if you drop it, and you don't necessarily have to drop it on a hard surface to break it. If your friend can't figure out that dropping an eletronic device with a hard drive will damage it then he really doesn't know much more than you about audio and electronics.
    Your warranty won't cover damage from dropping it.
    What is the problem with the iPod? Sound out of only one channel? Bad sound? No sound?
    And why do you drop it quite often?

  • IPod touch dropped in the water, now sound doesn't play anymore, except ringtones

    Hi,
    An acquaintance of mine fell in the water, with his iPod touch still in his pocket. After getting out of the water, his iPod touch seemed to work fine, except the speaker; no music or other sounds play, except ringtones and notification sounds. Does this fall under the warranty, and what should he do?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    - Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
