Sound dropping using AX and iTunes

Hi-
My connection between my laptop iTunes and my AX/home stereo connection drops the signal every 10 seconds or so. I know this problem has been discussed in earlier posts, but I haven't been able to locate the discussion thread. Does anyone have a link to it?

Have you had any more trouble? I just installed AE with no problems with no initial problems.I want to use it solely for streaming music. BUT with iTunes streaming a signal to the AE (about 10 feet away) the AE is causing the music to "stick" in itunes. The music pauses for a second or so. Also, it's an intermittant fault and varies depending on where i site the AE around the house.
With the the Itunes playing through my internal PC speakers there's no problem.
would appreciate your feedback.

But that's what I don't want to do. I think I must have misunderstood what was possible with iTunes Match and the cloud. I had thought I would be able to play my music directly from the cloud using WiFi. I didn't think I would have to download it from the cloud to play it on my iPad. I store it in the cloud because I don't have enough storage space on my iPad -- I can't download all my music because I run out of storage space. If iTunes Match doesn't allow you to play the music FROM THE CLOUD, but instead only allows you to DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE CLOUD TO YOUR IPAD TO PLAY, then it's not serving the purpose I thought it would. What's the point of storing it in the cloud if you have to download it to play it?
The only way I could imagine it working for me is if it possible to only download particular albums or songs. Or does your whole library have to be downloaded?

I have mulitple copies appearing on my ipad after using icloud and itunes match, how do I get only 1 copy to appear?

I am new to the Ipad, I just got the Ipad with retina display in and only have a 16gb memory. I wanted to use Icloud for my music and other items, but when I started using Icloud and Itunes match, my Ipad has up to 3 of the same song listed on the song list. and will repeat when I am listening to my music. Using iCloud and iTunes match, should I still wirelessly sync with my computer iTunes?

Using an iPhone 4 with the latest updates. I keep getting an error message syncing over my wireless network that says "Cannot sync phone. There are too many files open" from iTunes on my compter. Should I turn off the wireless syncing now that I'm using iCloud and iTunes Match?
There are 4 iPhones that are using this feature on our network, plus AppleTV 2.

Even though you have iTunes match and iCloud, there are several other types of media that aren't included in either of the services, such as movies, photos etc, if you aren't syncing any of these to your phones, then you may well be able to turn iTunes wifi sync off.
Personally, I would want to find the cause of the error message and use the iTunes sync for backup, I consider it far more reliable and convenient than iCloud for back up

IPhone 4S not sure if charging but the charging sound won't stop and iTunes detects it?

Hi, I've never had a problem like this in the past with my 4S, but I have had issues charging it. At the end of the day, it's always worked, but now I don't think it will. I've connected my cable to my USB and to an adapter on my computer and a plug in the wall, but both times the phone does not stop indicating that it is charging with it's little jingle or it's vibrating when I turn the sound off, and when I try to turn it on by pressing the LOCK button and both the HOME and the LOCK button, it doesn't work.
I connected my iPhone 4S to my computer, and iTunes has detected my phone, but it's still not turning on and the charging sound will not stop. What should I do?

VOD Sound drop at commercials and does not return when TV show resumes

i've noticed that there are other customers experiencing this problem and I have not seen any response from COmast support.When playing a TV-Show from On-Demand, the sound drops when a commerical starts and does not return when the TV Show resumes.A reenct example: Walking Dead 515.Yes, I have called comcast support to report it.Of course they wanted me to go through the standard drill - Power Off/On; Refresh Signal; etc. with no result...The problem occurs on series, e.g. - Walking Dead 515; Grey's Anatomy; It happens after the episode has been in the On Demand listing for about a week.It seems that the sponsors are no longer paying for the commercial, so the sound drops when the commercial comes on.However, the sound does not come back when the commercials end and the show comes back on.Stopping playback and starting at that point returns the sound, but, - oftentimes, the counter doesn't advance correctly in the Recently Viewed listing, so you end up starting back to the last time you stopped it. This is clearly a bug on the back-end, and I don't expect it to be fixed until enough people complain and Comcast Support replicates the problem observes it for themselves.

Ive lost sound from my iMac, and itunes wont play

Ive been having trouble with my mac for a few weeks - since losing my Microsoft Office suite and trying to reinstall it. Wont allow me to as hard drive is full. Then lost all info on screen - grey screen on lonin - so rebooted in Safety Mode and got most things back, but iTunes wont play and I can't get any sound when playing YouTube videos. Any tips?

Also - have checked my System Preferences for Audio input and output - it is saying "No devices found" - I haven't even go the option to click on inbuilt device? It is not letting me change any of the settings, such as the Mute checkbox.

I was using iTunes to listen to internet radio through my speakers connected by Airport Express.
The gear:
Signal starts with cable modem, ethernet connected to Belkin wireless Super G Router.
Then to my great love: Pismo PB with Airport card
There I'm running iTunes and using Airtunes to send signal to Airport Express which has speakers connected.
This worked until recently.
Now, I can either use the Express for Airtunes OR my wireless router to receive internet radio.

First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:

Using ipod and itunes again

just recently i had to deleat every thing from my computer and restore it to how it was brand new, during this process of this my itunes was deleated and i had to re download it and now when i try to put music on my ipod it says i am only alowed to use one computer to get music from. The message you are getting is that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc.
If your iTunes is empty or doesn't have all the songs that were originally on your iPod you just need to take care connecting back to your computer. Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using a lot of the utilities your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

I need to know how I can get my library onto my work computer? It seems that I'm only able to get my purchased music onto the itunes library but not my whole ipod library and all the play lists. Can't this be done?

I had to purchase a new computer (Gateway) as laptop crashed. I downloaded iTunes but can't synch as I get the message my phone can only synch to one iTunes library (the one on my laptop); if I want it to synch it will erase everything currently on my phone. How do I make the new computer the primary one for my iPhone and synch without everything being erased from my phone (music, pictures biggest concern). Thanks.
