Sound effects not working with SoundSticks after upgrade to 10.4.4

After upgrading to 10.4.4, the sound effects of OS X, such as emptying trash, iChat effects, etc, doesn't come out from the SoundSticks (first generation, connected via USB), even though I've turned it (effects) to the highest level, and selected to have it come out of the SoundSticks.
The effects are fine if I select Built-in Audio as sound output.

The names are updated to the following (although the documentation doesn't reflect this):
addDataSourceConnectionPool == createJDBCConnectionPool
addManagedDataSource == createManagedDataSource
addNativeDataSource == createNativeDataSource
testDataSourceConnectionPool == testConnectionPool

Variable Exit Not Working with Personalization After Upgrade

We recently upgraded our BW production system from version 3.5 to 7.0. Currently, we have some web templates/reports that use date related
user exit variables in the query. For instance, we have a date range
variable that is populated with a 90 day rolling period in the Customer
Enhancement RSR00001 / program ZXRSRU01.
Before the upgrade, these variables would get populated by the Customer
Enhancement even if the web template/page was personalized. However
after the upgrade the, when the users try to personalize their
page/template the date range is not populated by the user exit anymore.
Instead, the date range that was present when personalization is being
set.
Seems like the sequence priority for the population of variables has
changed with the upgrade where personalization supercedes the customer
exit for variable population.
As a result, all these web reports are coming with wrong dates now
after the upgrade.

This is due to deactivation/format change of few info objects post upgrade.
This can be recitified by a program or by manual activation.
With NW2004s SAP Content contains the new versions of InfoObjects 0TCTLOW, 0TCTHIGH and 0TCTIOBJVAL having type CHAR with the length 60 are delivered.
In order to resolve the problem with personalization ensure that the right version of these InfoObjects in active. If still the old version with filed length 32 is used, it is necessary to activate these 3 InfoObjects using Administrator Workbench --> Business Content.
When activation is completed, personalization of variables should be repeated once again in order to write the values to the DSO 0PERS_VAR.
Program correction, I am not completely sure, but its something like RS_PERS_ACTIVATE.

Did you try opening that file in any other browser ?If not ,please try doing that once and see if that works for you.
Try Repairing Acrobat once and see if that helps.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Repair Acrobat Installation.

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

What year model Air do you have?
On the first question,....are the headphones attached when you have your Air in sleep?
If yes, then refrain from having phones attached when you close the monitor to prevent this until it is resolved

Hello, Premkoli. Which specific apps are you referring to? Are these apps downloaded from the Store, or preloaded ones? When you say 'my apps not working with tata docomo only', does it mean that these apps work with other SIM cards aside from TaTa Docomo? How did you update your Nokia C2-00? Is it by going to Settings > Phone > Device Updates > Check for updates, or via Nokia Suite?
Since the issue started after the software update, you can try to reinstall the phone's SW via Nokia Suite. Just download it on your PC, and then connect the phone via a compatible USB cable. After that, launch Nokia Suite, and the go to SW Updates > Device Software Updates > Reinstall current SW. After that, try opening the same apps and see if they'll work with your Docomo SIM card. Sound effects not working after upgrade

After upgrading to Yosemite, my system sound effects are no longer working. Instead of hearing my selected Basso sound, my entire screen flashes. Other sounds, such as the audio track of a video, still work fine. If I use the "afplay" command I can hear a system sound. I also get sounds for incoming and outgoing mail. But clicking one of the system alert sounds in the "Sounds" preference pane does nothing audible, and in other places where I used to get a Basso sound, my screen flashes instead. I'm aware of the Accessibility option that gives the screen flash in lieu of an audible alert, but that is turned off, and I have tried turning it on and back off again, to no avail. My "Alert volume" is all the way up in the "Sounds" preference pane, and I've slid that back and forth too.
Can anyone suggest a way to reset whatever got confused in the upgrade, and get my alert sounds back?
I'm on a 13" mid-2009 MacBook Pro, if that matters.

External USB keyboard does not work properly with T60 after 2.26-1.07 BIOS upgrade.
It does the same with or without the docking station.
Anyone else bumped into this problem yet?

Try uninstalling all USB hub devices from the device manager and reinstalling them again, particularly the keyboard's.
v2.26 is supposed to fix the issue according to lenovo:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-63024

Hi my old phone 4s after upgrading to IOS 8, Calender is not working. Just a blank page and it quits automatically. I bought a new iphone 6+ and after synching , it also showing the same issue.

There's no way a software update causes a hardware issue. This is just coincidental. Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Slim not working with LXDE after 2.6.38 upgrade

After running -Syu and getting the new kernel slim will no longer login to lxde. awesome works fine. When I tried to start lxde manually with /usr/bin/startlxde it gave the following error:
cp: cannot stat '/usr/share/lxde/pcmanfm/pcmanfm.conf': No such file or directory
creating an empty file there allowed me to run lxde manually but it still won't work with slim. Any ideas? What other info would be useful to you?

I was getting this error:

since day one I installed LXDE and I don't think it is related to the issues we are having.
I have 3 almost identical arch boxes (same dd-ed install, identical packages - besides gfx card drivers) with slim, LXDE and NFS mounted homes, and everything was working fine till last update. Only unhelpful segfault output is logged in X's and slim's log. If anybody is interested, I can post ouputs here.
After this update, X segfaults everytime when lxsession is ran. First I thought this is hardware related, but situation is same on all three boxes (2 x radeon, 1x nouveau). I can login sucesfully if I replace lxsession with WM + xterm/terminator combo (also things like Firefox run then) so the error is caused clearly by lxsession. Then I thought it might be NFS related, but there are no NFS errors in either clients or server logs, more over I see that others are also having problems running LXDE.
Funny thing is, I have another notebook with slim+LXDE and I am experiencing no problems whatsoever.
Any idea how to approach this and at least pinpoint the error further (where within lxsession it occurs) ?
EDIT:
After some toying with LXDE componnents and launching them manually, I found the culprit. In my case it is pcmanfm in desktop manager mode.
Launching "pcmanfm --desktop" causes X to die. Once I renamed /usr/bin/pcmanfm to pcmanfm.borked, I can run lxsession without a glitch. Can anybody confirm this?

Adobe After Effects not working with Mavericks?

Great. I knew better, but I watched the **** presentatiuon, and "upgraded" tyo Mavericks. Now I get this when I try to open After Effects
I have the latest After Effects. I'm on a deadline. I'm ******.
D'oh. At least I backed everything up.
Hope anyone else using After Effects reads this before upgrading.

This update is ONLY FOR MAVERICKS. You can't update through Creative Cloud, to prevent users of other operating systems from installing it.

Sound Effects Not working Correctly in Mail 6.0 or Notification Center...

I recently installed Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro (2012 Retina Screen, 2.7 GHz Core i7, 16 GB RAM) and all the sound effects are no longer working in the new version of Mail 6.0. There are also Sound Effect problems with the Notification Center.
I double checked and all my settings appear to be correct in Mail and in the Sounds & Notification Center Pref Panes. I also did a PRAM reset to see if that would fix it, and that made no difference either. In Mail, only some sounds are working. I still get the swoosh sound when mail is sent but not any of the other sounds like when email is deleted or received. Also, my speakers are working fine for audio etc.
I called Apple Care and the technician had me on the phone for a while and researched this, but said he could find nothing that was known or had been reported on this issue. As an FYI, to the best of my knowledge I'm not running any incompatible apps. Every app I am running is listed as being compatible with ML.
Has anyone else had this issue with the Mail and Notification Center Sound Effects? I would appreciate any solutions or suggestions.

I have experienced the same symptoms.
Opening Audio MIDI Setup, and changing the Built-in Output>Format to another choice (2ch-20bit Integer) and then back to the prvious setting (2ch-24bit Integer) briefly fixes the lack of Mail sounds, but unfortunately the problem eventually returns after computer sleep.
I have tried a Safe Boot, and removed the Audio MIDI plist without success.

Sound effects not working

Suddenly my iPad 3 with Retina display isn't playing sound effects in many apps. Music and videos playback audio fine. Sound effects in the Settings app work fine.
I can change the sound effect for sending Mail through the Settings app and hear what it should sound like, but when I send mail through the Mail app, I hear nothing. Some 3rd party apps sound fine, while others are now missing sound effects.

This might be caused by account settings.
If you have multiple accounts on your Mac sometimes when you do a fast
userswitch settings of the previous account don't update. If the previous user
had the volume muted in his settings, the account switch might not reset
this to the settings you set in your account. Now an os update or big server
maintenance, account cleaning session can cause these issues as well.
Try to log in to the account you used previously, make sure that sound
settings are ok, When sound is working now it's ok for your other account.
