I would love some simple 6 or 10 band sound equalizer for my dv6 -3232nr. I mostly use earphones.

Troubles launching my HP TrueVision HD webcam for Pavilion dv6 notebook. Help me please

I am having trouble launching my hp webcam for pavilion dv6 notebook. When I was able to launch the webcam yesterday I was unable to have the camera turn on, message stated webcam not connected. I tried to remove and replace the program but after that I am not able to launch the webcam. Can someone help?

dv7/win7 same issue. intregrated webcam, HP TrueVision HD, worked last night when i was trying to figure out why my intregrated IDT High Def Audio microphone was not working. Worked on the mic issue for a couple hours last night now i get up this morning and my cam wont work. Sweet! I tried all the recommened suggestions with the mic last night and the integrated mic even showed up in the "sound" "recording" area in the control panel.

The smart error is usually a fatal hard drive error and it probably needs to be replaced. Here is a quick scan of this forum for smart error 301:

I think the high heat situation and damaged your video chip at the very least and someone will have to open the laptop and reflow, reball or replace the video chip. If this machine is in warrantee, you need to call HP or contact them before it is out of warrantee.

Go through page 10, 30-31 for the battery specifications and exact part number you've to buy. There are 3 battery capacities listed in the manual tested. You could go with any of them.
If you're under warranty and you suspect failed battery , you can contact HP directly with the error you've received, they'll probably replace it with no cost.
If you're not under warranty, you could also try searching for the battery in online stores like eBay, amazon, flipkart with the part number mentioned in manual, and get it online, which ever is cheap.

Bios update UEFI for Pavilion dv6-6b13ss

hello guys,
Cant find the Bios update UEFI for my Pavilion dv6-6b13ss, tried everything possible still can't find, any solution please?
The other proplem i have that HP detect my computer model as Pavilion dv6-6b13ss but on the bottom of my device is written Pavilion dv6 6166ee so whats seems to be the proplem here?
PS : when update the bios with file HP presented for Pavilion dv6 6166ee i got the message that this bios update its not for this model.

I grasp you are unsure of the exact model notebook you have as the auto detect states you have the Pavilion dv6-6b13ss but the sticker on the bottom states it is Pavilion dv6 6166ee .
It is most likely the former as that is what the tool detected after scanning your system for information.

Sound Issues HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr Entertainment Notebook PC

Hello,
I have HP Pavilion dv6-6158nr Entertainment Notebook PC with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS. Recently I noticed issues with how my volume control works. I am not sure if it's an application issue (Firefox 9/10) or audio drivers. While watching playing an audio file or watching video my default playback device is set to speaker, but as soon as I plugin my headphones both headphones and speakers will go to mute. Some times disabling and re-enabling the device will solve this issue, and other than that I also have to restart Firefox to get the sound back.
Tried installing all the available updates form windows, also reinstalled/update the sound drivers as n admin with no possible fix. Also as shown in picture below, when I try to make a Google call using Firefox I use built-in mike an headphones. During that time headphones icon will be appeared in the window shown below listed as communication device and disable both audio in/out.
Let me know if any further information is required.

First uninstall the audio driver:
Click Start and type device in the search field, then select Device Manager. >> Audio, video and game controlar >> right click and uninstall all values under it >> restart >> download and install the following drivers:

with windows 7 64-bit
recently , since 2 days i start get the message of Hard failling...error SMART 301 .
my question , if i buy SDD to replce the HDD , will it be okay for my laptop?
like if i got the Samsung 840 pro 256gb SSD
i'm worry if my laptop will be older , and will the SSD will not work with it

Be sure and buy the SSD drive with the cloning kit. It will make life easier. Without the cloning software and cable, upgrading to an SSD is generally a command line procedure using the DiskPart command-line utility and not as easy for many people.

My had disk was replaced recently and could not take the back up from the hard disk.
I lost all the drivers and also my recovery disk is crashed.
I downloaded the drivers from website but they do not support.

What all transpired after the hard drive was replaced? Try to be specific as the drivers should install as long as they are for that notebook and the operating system that is installed.
Since the backup did not take and the recovery disks failed, what is the operating system that was installed (e.g. Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional, Windows 8, etc.)?

I have problem with battery of my laptopn in model pavilion dv6. The battery is dead and do not be charge , and after disconnecting charger cable it will be turn off after 2-3 minutes. HP Webcam for Pavilion dv6-1216er dont save settings after reboot

I have some problem from begining use my laptop. Still have this problem after reboot (or but it sleep) i have to put setting on webcam again. I reinstalled everything but this all dont help.
