Sound files from Keynote (or Powerpoint 2004) do not work in Windows
I have spent many hours designing slide shows in both Keynote & Powerpoint 2004 on my MAC that include sound and they work great. HOWEVER, all slide shows I send to Windows users NEVER get the SOUND files. HELP>>>>>>

By using the above methods I can have swf or mp4 video url but when I am loading it, It is not working giving error message "File not found/ IO Error". I have read that if use escape character then it will work but I have used escape character also but it is not working.
Humble request you to please advise how can I solve this issue.

Sunil KumarStarting in KitKat, Google requires that applications have permission to access files on the system. You must specifically add either the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions in order to access files. Adding either one of those permissions should let you read/access files on the device. Prior to KitKat, you didnt have to have these permissions listed in the manifest to access files.

Parallax in AN files from CC to new CC 2014 NOT working
I am still new to this and have been using the CC version of Animate until recently. I have a project that I started months ago, and am finally getting back to that I opened in the updated CC2014. Now all of my time-based scrolling (vertical Parallax) is NOT working. I have included screen grabs of the CC and the CC2014 pages. The CC2014 page has all of the elements showing and the dtage area is ignored. There is no vertical action either. I have also packaged the two files and placed them in a drop box for comparison. What do I need to do to get this working again? Thanks.

The upgraded composition is fine except the "Overflow" value for the stage is set wrongly.
Set the "Overflow" from "visible" to "scroll", and things will work fine then.

I'm sorry you're having this issue but I have some steps that might help.
1. Unplug your network's router, then the printer, and turn off the iPad (in that order).
2. After about 60 seconds, plug in your router and when everything is ready (steady lights on the front), plug in the printer and turn on the iPad.
3. Try printing the same documents again.
Please let me know if this works or not. If it doesn't, I have some more steps we can try.

Can an older version of keynote play the files from keynote 08
My friend has an older version of keynote and when she tried to play a file from keynote 08. She could not open up the file and instead she got a prompt telling her to get a newer version of keynote.
Can she upgrade or will she have to buy iwork 08?If you export a file as a Keynote '08 file, she'd need Keynote '08 to view it. During the save, it IS possible to choose to save as an older version, though, if that's what you'd like to do. Also, if her computer can run it, she can download the iWork '08 trial. Even after it times out in 30 days, she will still be able to open and view presentations (just not save changes).

In iTunes with your iPhone connected, click on the iPhone device, select the Apps tab, scroll down to the File Sharing section and pick an app that plays Quicktimes ("Files Connect" works in this example, but I'm open to suggestions of better apps for playing transferred Quicktimes) and drag your Quicktime from Finder to the Documents pane for the File Sharing app. Once the file transfer is complete, go to the app on your iPhone to play the Quicktime.

Using an iPad, is it possible to play a sound file from a link on a pdf page? If so, is it also possible to stop the file playing when that pdf page is exited?

I guess I had more or less the same problem. Actually, if you want to specify the jar's classpath, you have to put it in the manifest file, or not use the -jar option. Take a look at:

I did a backup from all my files saved in old external hd to time capsule. After that double checked and recover one file from TC to mac air and it worked just perfect. Today went through TC to recover another file and none of them were there?Anybody has a clue what happened?

You can do that (see below), but how are you going to back them up? If your only copies are on the TC, when (not if) it fails, you risk losing your only copy of the data.

No, but there are some workarounds, including making a fixed-size disk image on it to "reserve" some space. See #Q3 in Using Time Machine with a Time Capsule.
But you still won't have backups of the stuff you put there.
You don't say what kind of Mac you have. If it's a desktop model, just keep the external HD connected to it, and let Time Machine back it up along with your internal HD.
However, it sounds like you may have a laptop, where that's not going to be convenient. In that case, your best bet might be to copy the external HD to a disk image on the TC as above, then keep the HD in a safe place.
To finish, when i enter the TC and go through the Time line how can I get a file from there and move it back to Mac hd.

Raw files from the new Nikon D810 will not open with either Photoshop CS5.1 or Lightroom 4. When will a real Adobe solution be available to work with Raw (NEF) files in their native format, using CS5.1 and LR4?
Clarification: this is a user forum; you are not addressing Adobe here.
The answer to your question as phrased is: never.
CS5 is history and it is not longer supported. There will not be any updates or bug fixes for CS5.
You need to convert the raw NEF files from your D810 to raw DNGs using the free, standalone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 RC (beta), the first version ever to support that camera.. -
I have adobe acrobat pro for windows and it is freezing up when I try to convert a word file to pdf... I have tried to get this done six ways from Sunday but it is just not working... help! Chris.
It would be helpful to know what version of Acrobat, WORD, and operating system.
Without that info, I would suggest at this point to open your WORD file and then go to the print menu and print to file using the Adobe PDF printer. Open the created file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, check to see if AcroTray is running in the background.
You say you tried many ways. It would help to know what you tried and what worked or did not work, and at what point the failure occurs. -

You can't do what you want with iCloud. You will need to setup remote access to your main computer with VPS or some similar remote access application. With VPS you have an application running on your main computer turning it into a server and an client app on your laptop so you can access it remotely. There are many such apps out there, some probably more feature filled than VPS. You might post in the system forum that you're running and ask there.

RAW files from my Nikon Df (NEF) will not display in Lightroom. Same format from Nikon D300s works. Camera firmware is current. Df RAW (NEF) files display in Nikon software products, not in Apple software (Aperture or iPhoto).

The above list show the current camera models supported by Adobe Camera Raw (plugin for PS CC) and Lightroom 5.3.
You will see that the Df Raw support was provided in the latest version of LR 5.3. Support for the D300s was introduced in LR 2.5. (the NEF files are different.)
Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw can only be updated after the camera manufacturer has produced the camera and made it publicly available. If you are using an earlier version of Lightroom then that is your problem.
Please post details of the version you are using at present.
