Sound for games doesn't work on iPad 2

Sound works on iPad 2 for everything except games. Is there some special way to get sound for games to work?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on General
3. Tap on Reset
4. Tap on Reset All Settings
What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It doesn’t affect your data. All of your email accounts will remain intact, as well as any SMS text or iMessages.

Hi, i have my iMac from 2008 and it's always work but for almost the lasy year youtube doesn't work. That's wasn't a problem but. right by now, everytime i tried to watch a video the mac start to freeze and i must close all the application which are working and, sometimes, i need to shut down the entire sistem. Hi! I don't have experiences with Premiere Pro. I have .MTS file and after import to Premiere, sound doesn't work. When I import .mp4, sound is OK. Is problem in my computer or is common thing that sound in .MTS doesn't work? Thanks for answers.

I get no audio at all. I initially copied all files from my camcorder to my drive and tried to import. No sound. Tried to import directly from camcorder - doesn't see it as a drive. Imported files to another location on drive from the camcorder software, still doesn't work. Tried in elements - works fine. Came here to forum...tried all these ideas - imported through media browser, bridge...I don't get it. Even tried to output the file in Elements as an .mpg an import into Pro - it gives me a decompression error. I have many other video I have been able to open in pro with sound - I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I even downloaded the suggested codec on one of your above threads, but I admit I don't know how I'm supposed to use it. I really need to edit this video in Pro and I'm at a loss. Full version of a game doesn't work.

I purchased the game Royal Envoy 2 (premium) today in the app store on my macbook. But the game doesn't work. If i want to go to level 9 the game tells me that i haven't purchased it yet. When i click on 'buy' the game sends me to the app store. The app store says that the game is already installed. I removed the game from my computer and reinstalled it but it still doesn't work. I think it's a really fun game to play and I wish that I can play the full version of the game because i payed for it..

You should contact the developer's support channel. If the game says that you have not bought Level 9, then that was not part of your purchase. You likely need to make an in-app purchase to open more of the game. The developer should be able to tell you how if it isn't obvious to you.

But when I use the camera app for the back side camera I see nuthin' but black and when I try to toggle views the app freezes.

You can't merge Apple IDs. You also can't cancel (delete) and existing ID, you can only choose to stop using it.
If your old ID was compromised and you can no longer access it, you'll have to contact Apple for assistance. I too had exact issue what you were experienced, then I went to Apple autorised service center and submitted my earpods, their it worked with all versions of Apple iphones, but it didn't worked on my 3gs. The service technician suggested for OS upgrade.Then I came home and I took the backup and upgraded 5.1 to 6.1 as he suggested, also it didn't worked. I was totally frustated and suddenly I got an idea!. What a funny thing here is, a safety pin resolved my issue, I took out all dust which was there in the jack hole. Then I check my earpods, it was amazing you know..MY EAR PODS WORKED!.

you have to be sure that you have iOS 4.4 on your Apple TV. Apple pulled 4.4 due to problems and hasen't re-released it yet. the only way now is to hook it up to your computer with a micro USB cable and then in iTunes you should see your Apple TV and do a restore and it will then put 4.4 on the Apple TV but it will wipe out all your settings and you will have to do all that over again but mirroring will then work.

Voice command for Contacts doesn't work after a reboot or a contacts restore.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Backup contacts. Open Files > Backup & Restore > Select Contact for Backup Contents and select Back up now.
2. Edit/save a contact, press and hold the call button, speak contacts name. The voice recognition works fine.
3. Restore contacts. Open Files > Backup & Restore > Select Contact for Backup Contents and select Restore.
4. Reboot phone when prompted.
5. Press and hold the call button, speak contacts name. The voice recognition does not work.
Work around:
Edit and save each contact.
Additional Information:
Social integration with contacts also does not work after a reboot. The facebook icon and "See what xxx is up to on Facebook" is not displayed. The same work around "Edit and save each contact" also applies. This occurs using the Nokia N8 and Nokia 808 Pureview.

This is not necessarily and issue with the phone. It could also be an issue with the car`s bluetooth software that is only limited to some functions like reading your contacts list, last calls, missed calls, etc. which is most likely the basic 2.0 version.
The Z30 has the 4.0 version that has a lot more communication capability but if the car`s bluetooth its a lower version, then you will not be able to take full advantage of it unless you upgrade the bluetooth software in your car. Call your dealer and inquire about the bluetooth software upgrade in your car

When you get this fatal error uninstalling, try a full removal of iTunes and related programs with an installer clean up of any that do not uninstall cleanly:
Here is a method:
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

Textvariable with replacement path for 0CALMONTH doesn't work ...

we have done release upgrade BW 7.01 -> BW 7.3 SPS 04. While checking queries I found out that textvariables with replacementpath for 0CALMONTH doesn't work anymore. In the report I only see the variable name like ZVARXYZ01 but want to see something like 'JAN 2011'.
As far as I understand 0CALMONTH don't need a texttable. Texts can be found in table T247. I checked the table and all values looks fine.
Any Idea where the problem is or how I can analyze it?

HELP! Uploading AS3 Game to server, no sound and Spacebar doesn´t work HELP!

Hello, relatively new to AS3 and flash, this is the first time i am publishing anything. We are trying to upload our simple flashgame to our webserver, the game works perfectly fine locally save for one thing. We get an error regarding TLF which says it wont stream or something. So when it gets online, no sounds play and spacebar doesn't work, left and right arrow does work. We have three TLF text fields that are used to update score, lives and show you final score. If i turn these into classical text they stop working.
Things we have tried: Changing default linkage from RLS to Merged into code, changing the text boxes to classical text(they then stop working), made sure the paths are correct(all files are in the same directory including the .swz file)

I can somewhat get that sound can bugg out, but why does spacebar stop functioning? ANy help is greatly appreciated as this has to be delivered in twelve hours(published online) for a school assignment.

Also might add publishing it locally in my own browser everything works, as does ofcourse playing it in flash itself. Changing from RLS to merged into code stops the error from coming, but doesn´t fix the problem on the server.
