Sound Glitch with iOS 5

I downloaded the iOS 5 software today, and since I have noticed that my keyboard click sounds are off. They are either extremely loud or extremely quick and nothing I do seems to control the volume of them. They change volume while I am in the middle of typing, and when I turn the volume all the way up they are extremely quiet and when I turn the volume all the way down they are very loud. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the same issue on most sounds since the update to iOS5.
Most alerts, 'feedback' sounds like the keyboard click and the
lock/unlock are either far too loud (they are distracting and distort
because they are so loud) or inaudible. Occasionally they are 'normal'
but this doesn't last very long.
I can recover the sounds by making a volume adjustment, but after a
while things go screwy again.
It's starting to annoy me as I'm missing text messages...

I have sounds problems with iOS 7. I can not hear my music, all the apps have no sounds. Only when I ask Siri has sound but it's too loud and awful. I found 2 errors with I ask to Siri what things she can do in Spanish the is an error and one word or If I ask who am I? She said that I have to go to settings and indicate her who I am but I already have that configured. And I try to configure again just in case, I do the same question and she still doesn't who I am.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.

Glitches with iOS 5?

I think I found a few glitches with iOS 5. I tried to remove one of my created ringtones by deleting it from the ringtones folder in iTunes, syncing then adding it back to iTunes and sync, but it won't go away (now I have two copies). Also, iPhoto isn't syncing my entire library - just have the past year (no option to change this. I had all of my library on my iPod prior to the update to 5, so it's not a problem with my phone.).
Otherwise, happy with my new iPhone 4S and the iOS.

I have tried resetting it, and restoring it but nothing seems to be working!!!

Sound problems with IOS 6.1

Since installing IOS 6.1 I am experiencing inconsistencies with sound. The 'chirping' sound when plugging in to recharge doesn't work and I've lost sound on Hearts++. Is anyone experiencing anything similar?

If you lose sound for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email and other notifications, system sounds have probably been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled in two different ways: either by the side switch (located next to the volume up/down controls) or in the Recent Apps tray. The initial default is via the side switch.
Check the status of Settings > General > Use Side Switch to:. If this is set to Mute, the switch on the side of the iPad will mute system sounds.
If this is set to Lock rotation then the mute system sounds control is in the Recent Apps tray. Double tap the home button and, in the tray which appears at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is on the left. Is it is crossed-out tap on it and mute will be turned off and system sounds will be turned ON.

Sound glitch with the Ipad 2

I have been having issues with my Ipad2. I have sound for like music and movies, but the sounds from the key board, games, and apps are gone. I was told it was a "glitch"...... can anyone help? I have the lates software version and have done everything possible i can think of to correct this but with no luck.

1. Double-click the Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right
2. Check the volume and mute settings

I Just opened a folder on my home screen and this happened, it was only temporary but i wanna know what went wrong.

Sometimes things like that happen with really no know cause. All y can do is the standard fixes
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

Sound off with IOS 6

I noticed during several calls since updated to IOS 6 on my Iphone 4S that when I hold the phone up to the ear, the microphone is turned of. My ear probably touches the microphone icon but I thought that when the phone is held up to the ear this should not happen. Never happend with the previous software version. Anybody else experienced this?

HT4085 Sound Muted with iOS 7

After downloading iOS 7, my iPad is muted and even though the control area shows it is not muted, I cannot play music or movies. Any suggestions? Thanks

There are numerous reports of this issue happening on iPhones. It may be a glitch that will need a new update. Some find that a full shut-down and restart fixes that problem, but not always.

IOS 5 sound glitches on iPhone 3GS

Since I've upgraded to iOS 5 on my iPhone 3GS, I've been having some sound glitches whene listening to music.
Sometimes, when the song starts, I get a glitch (some kind 1 sec skip) which is really annoying. Are the notifications hard to process?
I don't have anything running on the phone persay. No bluetooth, mail checks every 15 minutes but doesn't seem to be checking when this happens.
What I find weird is, that it didn't do that before. I even tried rebooting the device, I started a song and the glitch came right back.
Something came to my attention, can the artwork of that song be tobig so the iPhone has a hard time loading a particular long?

Yes I have the same issue. Just noticed it. It seems to happen with me after I have paused the track and the phone has locked it's self and then I go to restart the track and I get this glitch within the first 10-15secs of playback.
Pretty annoying and sure it did not do this before upgrading to iOS 5.

I had a Mercedes Benz iPod connector installed (by Benz agent) in my 2008 E280. My iPhone4 (initially ios 4.3.2) would play through the system faintly, with the display on the speedo console is "AUX No iPod". I upgraded the iPhone to ios 4.3.5 and now to ios 5, in both cases the same problem is seen, although the sound coming through the car system is now better (as loud as if it were CD / Radio). I also noticed that whent he iPhone is plugged in the message "Charging is not supported with this accessory" is displayed on the iPhone. The MB agent tried another iPod - all works fine. I tried my daughter's iPhone 4 (with ios 4.3.2) - sound is good and no "Charging not supported...." message AND the display on the speedo console is "iPod <track title>". Seems definitely like a proble with my phone, not the car kit. Any similar incidents and any suggestions>

I Phone 4 S has no sound with IOS 8

I have an 32 Gig I Phone 4 S that has no sound sine I upgraded to IOS 8. No resolution after 4 subsequent IOS 8 updates. Thought I could down grade to IO 7. I am told that is not possible [why not?]
I have done:
[1] full factory restore and latest download of IO 8... I have done this 3 times
[2] I have done full factory restore and set it up as new phone and before I imported a single app or even a contact, had same sound issue.
Apple, you said IO 8 would work on my phone. It does not [diagnostics say my phone is fine]
IOS 8 does not work on my iphone 4 S. I have had no sound and thus no turn by turn directions, no music, no you tube, no online streaming of any sound since September 17th.
I am the usual story of the resurgence of Apple, I bought an I Pod, then an I phone, then a Mac Mini, Macbook pro and even an Apple TV.
If I google "problems with IOS8" I get 99,500 hits. There are 82 pages alone of comments about wifi issues with IOS 8.
Apple, you broke my phone with your software update, please fix it or replace it. It is not OK to treat a good customer like this. If you something that isn't yours, it is common courtesy to fix,replace or pay for it. This is something we teach children.

Well, Apple does not participate in the forum, so they will not hear all of the things that you have asked them to do. If you restored the device as new and tested it with no content added and it was still not working correctly, then you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple store to have the hardware checked. Then when there you can tell the Genius everything you wanted to tell Apple here, about the number of Google hits you received, the fact they broke your phone and want it fixed or replaced. and that you feel they should not be treating you like they are. Dears at Apple:
I can't find how to apply sound enhancements (EQ) for the podcasts now with iOS 6.0 update on any of my devices(iPhone 4s, iPhone Touch (4th Gen), iPad (3rd Gen). Most of the "Podcasts" I listen to are music content based and wanted to apply sound enhancements(EQ) like before when integrated with ipod function. Can you consider to "fix" this issue?

OK Emanuel I found a solution! I dowloaded and installed "Denon Audio" app from the iTunes store & it works great! It has an EQ you can set curves on manually or use the (few) built in pre-sets. It is a player like the Music app that comes with the iPhone, etc. but restores the EQ functionality so we can adjust the audio of PODCASTS:-) Until Apple fixes this what I consider a bug I will be using the Denon app as my default music player!

Sound streams glitches with new kernel26 2.6.16.4-1

Hi there,
After recent upgrade to the kernel26 2.6.16.4-1 I've noticed sound glitches for example from this site http://www.ultimae.com/en/releases/189/tracks.html in Konqueror and Firefox.
I returned to the kernel26 2.6.16.1-8 version and everything is fine. I don't know anything about 2.6.16.2-3 versions.
I'm very current with Arch right now.
Does Anybody have the same problems?
