Sound Help for XP-64 (dv6-1050us)

Howdy folks,
I'm having sound issues. Just downgraded my dv6-1050us to WinXP 64. Everything is up and running except my sound system -- I'm getting a yellow! over the IDT High Def. CODEC device that Windows Update installed, and I have an Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus in my unknown devices.
On the first install of XP64, I installed the NVidia driver pack for my graphics card, and it automatically installed the NVidia audio devices, too. Those drivers seemed to work fine and there were no errors reported in my device manager for the NVidia device, but there was still a yellow! over my IDT device. I have tried various drivers from Intel, Realtek, IDT, and NVidia, to no avail -- I still have a "No Sound Device" problem in my sounds controller prompt.
I think the problem is stemming from the fact that my computer has an Intel sound device, but the NVidia device is configured for the same location and is blocking it.
I tried downloading the chipset for my laptop off the HP website, but after downloading the pack made for XP, I get the error "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements to install"and it fails. I checked the chipset and it is made ONLY for Vista, even though I clicked on the XP operating system. The pack that I have downloaded is sp42338, which reports compatability with XP64 on the website.
I have now done a fresh install of XP64 and only run Windows Update -- I have not installed the NVidia drivers yet so hopefully they won't cause any problems as I try to troubleshoot this.
If anyone can help me find the XP drivers for my chipset, or help in any other way, I would be much obliged.

also i cant find in hp site the drivers for sata to intall it during xp setup
can you please tell me how to install the xp
also from where you get all the drivers for xp because in hp site

I'm trying to use my hp pavilion dv6 1050us notebook with a TV Philips model 40PFL8605D using a HDMI cable but nothing function: can't get the image displayed at computer on the TV display. I frequently play The Sims 3, I have all, but myabe 3, extensions. And I have a Pavilion dv6-6c15nr Entertainment PC. Now I was wondering, is this a bad idea? Occassionally, my games will freeze and even just completely glitch within the game, sometimes unallowing me to save. It's very frustrating, especially when you get so far. My question is would it be better to just get a gaming pc and leave this one to surfing the web and doing school work? Or is this one good, and can I download or buy something to help my computer maintain or improve its performance?

It does not make any sense. Based on its support page, it uses "Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221 Driver" for Vista

Hi. I'm new here and found this forum because I have problems with my?Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card for notebooks. The card itself works fine with my Dell XPS notebook but I also purchased the upgrade kit-speaker docking module that would allow me to play my 4/4. speakers. The problem lies withiin the speaker docking module (upgrade kit). I'm running Windows Vista, could this be the problem? I don't get sound from my speakers. When I run the diagnostic test I only hear sounds from my front left and right speakers and nothing from my sub and my back speakers. I hear NOTHING when I play music or anything off of my laptop. Please help with this issue. Thank you.

Upgraded Qosmio X500-10T to Win 8.1: Sound drivers for 5.1 over HDMI

I have recently upgraded my Qosmio X500-10T from 64-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 8.1.
I have left Windows to download driver updates.
My setup: Qosmio (HDMI) => Yamaha AV receiver (HDMI) => Samsun LCD TV.
_The Problem:_ Playing a video file (in MPC-HC) with 5.1 sound only outputs 2 channel PCM.
Would it be better to install the Win 7 drivers from Toshiba even though they are older and for a different OS, or install windows 8.1 drivers from another Qosmio, or leave the Win 8.1 drivers found by Microsoft?
This driver issue is made more problematic as I don't actually know what the technical hardware components are in the machine so its not as though I can find a win 8 driver for them.
As always any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

From my knowledge the Win 7 drivers are totally different from Win 8.1 drivers and I doubt that Win 7 driver would work properly on Windows 8.1 system. However, you can test such Win 7 drivers too. But of course I would recommend you to use the Win 8.1 drivers released for other notebook series.
As Im not mistaken the Qosmio X500 needs 2 sound drivers: Conexant (chip CX20583-10Z) sound driver as well as the nVidia sound driver (for HDMI)

This will create a swsetup folder in c drive ("C:\swsetup\sp34200")
Installing Audio drivers may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.
Open the Device Manager:
1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp34200 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a) file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS. I'm getting "no audio output device is installed" error after trying various different drivers. Sometimes the driver will install and I'll reboot, but to no avail I end up with the same error and a red X over the speaker in the system tray. I've tried Realtek drivers and Conexant drivers from HP. When I run Windows upgrade advisor it recognizes the problem, but Microsoft doesn't offer a compatible driver. At this point I'm very desperate considering everything else works fine and I don't want to go back too XP Media Center. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Hello to All:
I want to tally or count some of the elements that I have in array but not sure how.
I have for example: int myArray[] = {90,93,80,81,71,72,73,74};My objective is to tally all of the 90's, tally all of the 80's and tally all of the 70's.
So, the result that I want to have would look something like the following:
System.out.println ("The total tally number of 90's is " 2 );
System.out.println ("The total tally number of 80's is " 2 );
System.out.println ("The total tally number of 70's is " 4 );I do not want to add these numbers, just want to count them.
Also I want to use a "forloop" to achieve the result intead of just declaring it at 2 or 4 etc..

My ringtones don't sound off for any message on my new BB Q10

I just bought a BB Q10 and a major disappointment so far is that the ringtones do not sound off for any type of message that I enable a ringtone for?
I have gone over the steps over and over and I cannot seem to get them to work!

My sound works for youtube but not for oovoo

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. F4 help for MRP Controller not adjacent to Plant

Hello Dear all,
I need F4 help for MRP controller on selection screen but only valid values for the plant value entered in the selection screen
If select option for Plant and MRP controller are one below the other on selection screen, then F4 help for MRP controller gives relevant values ony for that Plants entered.
But if they are not adjacent to each other F4 help for MRP controller gives all possible values. In such a case should we code separately for F4 help of MRP controller.
Any suggestions.
