Sound high frequency on the modem DPC3925

Hi, I got a modem DPC 3925 and I saw that the modem emits a sound as a mosquito after three or four hours turn on. I turned off the equipment from energy oftentimes, but the sound restart after three or four hours turn on. I don't know if this is a normal behavior, I don't believe. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
Fernando.

Is your dect phone place close to the cable modem, someone did mention that the dect n the wireless are causing some interferences.
If not then go to SH to exchange if still under warranty.
There are not much choice for devices on cable, only cisco DPC3925 n motorola SB6120 support DOCSIS 3.0. SB6120 is just a cable modem and nothing else.
Don't think u can just purchase a cable modem outside and use cos SH have mac address control, u can only use devices from SH as other devices u could not submit the mac address for processing.

  • When I upload large streams of high frequency data the x axis scales incorrectly

I have data at 5 kHz for 20 seconds. when I upload this data into the report tab the x axis scales incorrectly and cuts off either the head or tail of the data. The x axis always rounds to the nearest second while i need it to start with the data. Any ideas?

  • NI PCI-6115, problems in high frequencies

    Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to make this question but let's try..
I try to measure the frequency response of the output impedance from a certain switched-mode converter using NI PCI-6115 (I inject sinusoids into output voltage and measure the output current). I get a nice plot but there are some problems in high frequencies. It seems that the measurement card makes some unexpected peaks. I use the network analyzer (Venable) to verify the results and beyond 200 kHz the results do not match. I attached the plot with the results from both methods (MC = PCI-6115, Venable = network analyzer). Does anyone have any idea what could cause this difference in high frequencies? The measurement set ups where exactly identical.
    Thanks!

looks like a resonace at 400kHz...
Are you shure that the input impedances of both setup are the same? Are you injecting with a transformer and build a LC resonator with the MC?

  • High Frequency Sound Bug on iOS 8

From time to time I turn on my bluetooth headphones, put some music and almost get deaf by a super high frequency sound coming out from them. First time it happened I thought it could be the headphones, turned them off just to hear that strange treble sound (like an old Modem) coming out from the iPad speakers too, then I rebooted the iPad and it looks fixed.
Yesterday it happened again, but after reboot sound was kind of back but still wonky, like blown heaphones, when you cannot hear bass and it has a buzz all the time playing with the songs.
    Looks like this is related:
Weird static/high frequency sounds while streaming Netflix.
Is there a proper channel to report this?

  • Weird static/high frequency sounds while streaming Netflix.

I am experiencing weird static/high frequency sounds while streaming Netflix. At first I thought it was my headphones until I pulled them out, then thought it was the iPad itself. I am now watching on my tv (apple tv) and it's doing the same thing. So far no issues on my Mac. Any ideas?

You're using the two pin connector to the wall socket, if yes, use the three pin.

  • High frequency sound with K8T Neo-FIS2R

    Hello!
I have the MSI k8t neo-fis2r mainboard with bios v 1.6 and sometimes it makes a horrible high frequency sound and I cant figure out why.
    My system are:
    amd 64 3000 cpu and
    Corsair Value S PC3200 DDR-DIMM 512MB Unbuffered, Non-parity, 64Megx64, CL2.5
My other components does not cause the sound (that I have found out by testing).
I wonder if the ram causes the sound? Can you please help me. The sound is so bad that I cant use my computer. It only appers during heavy system load, and not in windows. It has nothing to do with my video card (because I have tried with several different cards). My bios settings are default values + cool and quit enabled. I have the core center installed so the progam controls the cpu fan.
I really hope someone can help me.

The sound does not come from the speaker and I dont think it comes fom the cpu fan either. I think it comes from the motherboard, ram or the cpu. When I dont use my mouse it is quit but when I clik it makes this sound. Can it be that I have to set all values in bios for ram etc. manually instead of automatic?
When it comes to other electrical sources I have a TV standing 0.5 meter from the computer. Could thins cause the problem? I did not have the problem with my old motherboard which was a MSI K7T Turbo2.
The sound usually appers when I am benchamarking my system. For example 3dmark 2004. Because of this I thougt there was a problem wiht my vga card but after a changed to a new one...the situation was just the same.

  • How to change the display in the waveform graph to enable higher frequency displays.

I am working with waveforms of very high frequencies upto 2MHz. When the frequency of the waveform is increased above 500Hz, the display in the waveform graph goes blank.
    Please help me.
    Thanks

    Dear Labviewguru,
Thanks a lot for your response.
The problem had been technical, and it has been solved.
Actually, I didn't specify the number of samples while generating the waveform, so only frequencies upto half the default value (1000) were being displayed.

  • High-pitched sounds are muffled to the point of inaudibility

I don't know how to describe it exactly, but Tiny Tim's "On the Old Front Porch", I can't hear the falsetto parts without going into VLC and changing the equalizer every which-a-way. This is concerning. I know this file is good, I've listened to it before. Is there some thing that makes my system default to a weird equalizer or something? MPD and mplayer both play it the same way; VLC plays it that way by default, too, but if I mess with equalizer/spatializer I can get the falsetto parts out to where I can distinguish them.
Anyone know wtf is going on here? I have a Xonar DX. Help greatly appreciated.

I've just enabled my onboard sound and found that it plays the same file fine on the speakers, whereas when played through the Xonar DX, the higher sounds are muffled. So I guess that seals that the Xonar is defective?
It might have been a problem with the speakers, but it's unlikely that both the speakers and your first HPs break at the same time.
But, the same thing does not happen on all ports; on some, the higher sounds sound correct while the lower ones sound incorrect (i.e. the opposite problem).
The speakers wouldn't know to which port they are connected, so this must be the card.
Your problems sound as if the card's output stage doesn't get enough power, so there might be a problem with the power supply. Could you try reseating the connector?

If I wiped my phone I wouldn't have the contacts on my phone to send to my self.    I would need to take just the contacts from my back up. • Bandpass filter amplifies only noise at high frequencies and saturates the opamp output

I have designed a fourth order bandpass filter using the opamps TL081C. It is designed to operate at a center frequency of 40 kHz with a bandwidth of 2 kHz and a gain of -12.5 . I am using an SCB-68 board for data transmission and reception, one channel each for transmitter and receiver. I have grounded the adjacent channels to both the transmitter and the receiver in order to avoid crosstalk. However, at the output, I get a signal which looks like an amplitude modulated signal and is, most probably, noise. The amplitude of this signal is always around 9V, no matter what is the amplitude of the input (even if the input is 0V, the result is the same). If I scale down the whole BPF to operate at a center frequency of around 20 kHz, everything works fine. Therefore, I think the problem lies not in the design of the BPF but the use of the board at higher frequencies. Please reply as soon as possible.

You have done something wrong. You should read the manual for both the SCB-68 and your DAQ card once more. In such cases I often use MAX, and a battery as source. Then a DAQ input is not connected (floating) you will see measurements like you are doing now. Some high level voltage often modulated with mains frequency.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

  • What is the modem connecting sound from TC?

When my mac has been asleep for a while, it takes forever to wake up and while I am doing this the TC makes a modem connecting sound. Any idea what this could be and if I need to return? All the other items using the wifi dont have a problem.

No sound should come from the TC.. what model is it??
Modem sounds are done on the old dial up type, is that what you mean by modem sounds??
What model TC and what model Mac??
Did  you just upgrade to Yosemite?
If the other items don't have problems it sounds like the computer rather than the TC at fault.

  • Has anyone else experienced problems logging onto internet after ios7 update?  I have to go through all these resets of iPad and the modem until the iPad recognizes the home internet. It is highly frustrating.

Experiencing difficulty logging into the home internet after iOS 7 update. It will no
to recognize the wifi. I have to reset the iPad network settings in airplane mode and the modem each time I need to use the internet. If I'm lucky the iPad will then accept the wifi code and join the network. so frustrating!

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • High Frequency Noise from Headphones Out Jack

I have isolated the following issue to audio that is monitored via the headphones output on the back of my iMac:
I've been encountering a very high-pitched (and at times a cycling through high frequencies) noise when working with headphones to monitor audio. It's not the headphones and the problem is not limited to any single application. The noise is sometimes barely audible, and it comes and goes - but repeatedly and often. Sometimes the frequency of the noise is so high that I can imagine that those with poor or compromised hearing wouldn't even notice it. But the highest frequencies are still detectable - kind of like a faint ringing in the ears or a ringing television set that has its volume turned all the way down.
I've done everything I can imagine to troubleshoot the problem including asking a Mac genius, but nobody seems to have encountered this before. The noise can be triggered off (not masked) by any other incoming audio, but eventually it reappears. I will be editing a file, the noise will appear, and I can literally silence it for the moment by pressing a volume key or playing back a portion of audio.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix? I do a lot of audio engineering and this problem is very distracting. I haven't purchased any outboard gear to monitor with yet, so I don't know if I will hear this noise through an external audio interface or not. Thankfully, this noise isn't being recorded to disk. It appears to be a little monster that is haunting only the playback.

OK, It is very easy to reproduce the problem, just follow this steps:
    (1) Insert any headphones to iMac.
    (2) Do NOT play any iTunes or any application with sound.
    (3) Now, set volume with the volume control keys on your keyboard, set it to the MAX.
    (4) You can keep pressing on the increase volume key and every time you hit the key you should hear a sound.
Just as when the sound stop, you will hear a high pitch. Keep repeat step 4 and wait a while, then occasionally you will hear a high pitch sound that will last to longer than 30 seconds. The high pitch will be even easier to reproduce if you alternate before decreasing volume and increase volume by 1 level, each time, wait and you will hear the high pitch too.
This high pitch sound can be heard on external speaker plug into the headphone jacks too.
BTW, I turned OFF WIFI, Bluetooth, removed all USB devices except keyboard and mouse, adjust monitor brightness, they have no effect on the high pitch, it is still there!
I am going to call the Apple Care tomorrow. Will keep you guys posted.

  • Regza 40" LCD TV emits high frequency noise

A few months ago I was lucky to win this television, a 106 cm Regza HD LCD.
I was very pleased because I could never have afforded it myself, and I am very happy with its performance generally.
What I find however is that it emits a high frequency noise that triggers tinitus to my hearing. (Tinitus is a high pitched squealing noise heard by people who have damaged their ears, sometimes called ringing in the ears).
I guess my hearing is already sensitive through listening to lots of live music over the years, but I think that this noise is excessive.
I figure that a monitor this size is using a fair amount of power and that maybe the power supply could be overworking itself.
The monitor emits this noise at a consistent level even before the sound from the tv show begins.
I am interested to find out what suggestion forum users may have for reducing this background noise?
The monitor is still under warranty as it is only 6 months old.
I wanted to be prepared to discuss it with Toshiba warranty people if forum users can suggest first of all what could be causing the noise, and secondly, possible ways of addressing the issue.
    Thanks petekey4

    Hello Pete
As you can see this is Toshiba computer forum and I don't believe you will find many people here who want to discuss about Toshiba LCD TV.
Anyway, if the TV is new and with valid warranty the best option for you is to contact service people and let them check your new TV.
