You would need to customize this
I will try to point out the steps that may be helpful :
- For Piano Keys you can use rectangle , so create rectangles and use color fill accordingly.
- Upload sound files which would be uploaded to assets folder
- For each rectangle , use hyperlink panel and link to the file using javascript, you would need to use custom javascript code which would actually play the sound.
- Javascript function will play the Sound once rectangle is active
Not sure if the instructions are enough simple to understand , but you can give it a try.

When will Adobe add sound tools to Muse?

Someone needs to point out to Adobe that people have ears, and would like to use them for something other than things to hold glasses up.
I have several clients that would really like to incorporate sound into their web site as easily as they can graphics, but until Adobe adds some sound tools to Muse they're stuck with icons that when clicked give a text description of what bird calls sound like rather than the sound of real birds. A couple other clients would like to set up various midi scores that can be controlled with sliders/scroll bars/buttons.
I understand Muse is still in it's infancy, but if they can include nifty scrolling effects couldn't they at least add a "click to play" sound tool?

Thank you for your help, but I believe my questions remains unanswered -- mainly, because my English isn't the good.
Here's what I am asking:
1. I need something that is animated that blinks or flashes to alert the viewer to scroll down the page. I would put the wording: Scroll Down for more (and then an arrow blinks or gently moves up and down to alert the user to move down).
2. is there a way that the entire homepage on it's own moves downward?

Itunes sound distorted when loading webpages

Hi,
I recently got a new laptop (like a week ago) and installed iTunes 9. This worked fine at first, but starting yesterday the sound gets distorted half the time I load webpages or open applications.
I've had this before on older computers, and assumed it was because of their limited technical capabilities. I don't think that's the case here, though.
Does anyone have any idea where the problem could be situated? Or might it be technical after all?

Sounds like your audio midi settings are not being stored properly.
I'd try deleting com.apple.audio.AudioMIDISetup.plist and resetting
audio midi.
As you know, iTunes only reads the audio midi settings when it starts
up, so I'd do that with itunes not running.

No audio in Muse when I import an Edge file with sound

I'm using an Edge animation with sound effects in Muse.
In Edge all audio is playing but when I import the .oam in Muse there is no audio.
Any Suggestions?

Problem solved, local sounds don't work for muse. Moving the sounds folder an external url did the trick..

Error Message When Saving - "A Serious Error Has Occurred...Adobe Muse will now shut down".

It sounds like your .muse file has an extra object in it that we need to remove for you. You should have a file in your user documents folder named 'MuseLog.txt' please send that file, and your .muse file to [email protected] so we can fix your file and send it back. Please include a link to this forum topic so we know what needs to be done. If your file is >20 MB, use a filesharing service like SendThisFile or Adobe SendNow.

How to get the embed html code for my webpage so I can use it on eBay listings?

Hi, I already created a Muse webpage, but when i export it as html I get a code that is not compatible with eBay because eBay won't allow "cookies" nor "iFrame" on a listing.. is there a way around so I can get a working html code for eBay? I'm new at this, I don't have coding knowledge. I've never use Dreamweaver either, Muse is appealing since is user friendly, so any good explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sound off/on actions

My goal is add a sound clip to a webpage with controls that
allow visitors the option of hearing the clip. The clip is a speech
2 minutes in length. So far I've created 5 buttons; sound off,
sound on and volumne controls. Everything seems to be working
nicely except for one thing. When the page loads, the speech
automatically starts. The stop control and volumn controls work.
The start control also works to restart the speech.
What steps should I follow to prevent the audio clip from
automatically playing when the page initially loads? I do
appreciate the help. I've spent about an hour trying to read
through my manual for help but I can readily find this particular
issue.

instead of using start(0,0) use stop() action in your sound
object

Lightroom Export Quality setting for best Muse slideshow optimization

Hi,
I am using Lightroom to prepare images that I will use in Muse slideshows--basic slideshow widget. In LR, I have cropped virtual copies of everything to the exact proportion I need in Muse. In the LR Export dialog, I use the Image Sizing dialog to set to my exact pixel dimensions for the images--784x560px, 72ppi. That's for my desktop version, but I'm using the same images for my tablet and phone versions. In the LR Export > File Setting dialog, I set JPG, sRGB.
My question is this: What is the optimal QUALITY setting in the LR Export > File Settings dialog to produce the smallest file size and maintain excellent image quality in Muse webpages? The QUALITY slider goes from 0 to 100. Furthermore, since my tablet and phone slideshows are smaller than the desktop slideshow, would I be wise to produce another set of images in LR for each of the three formats, sized for the respective formats?
Note that I am not using the HiDPI setting in Muse Site Properties > Content.

My Muse page looks different on Firefox and Chrome - both are the latest versions

On Firefox, my pre-loader wants to load each time it encounters an Edge Animate on my scroll page. Page anchors are slightly changed in Firefox and this messes up my scroll, opacity and Ege Animate triggers.
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I also receive this error message in my browser immediately after exporting to HTML - http://www.broadcastgems.com/mediastreamer5/Muse_js_Error.jpg

Lastly, I can't get my Form on the said page to work - on both Chrome and FIrefox. I can fill in the boxes but clicking 'Send' doesn't seem to do anything. Also, the text column for "Message" is ridiculously narrow - only 2-3 words long and I can't seem to change this. Visually it looks long but once I start typing it wordwraps after only 2-3 words. I'm using the built-in Form widget that comes with Muse.BTW, the form is right at the bottom of the page/URL I provided in the previous para - you can get there via the menu button, Inquiry.

Notice how Firefox initiates the Muse pre-loader each time it reaches an Edge Animate object AND how the layout looks different when I use the menu buttons to access page anchors. Unfortunately, I forgot to record the form's Message Text Field, to show how narrow the column is. Any idea on how to fix/enlarge the column for this?
BTW, I just received a form submission that I made a while back - like half an hour ago.

KT3 Ultra-sound problem

Hey, all.
I recently had to reinstall Windows on a custom built system-everything came back OK excpet for the onboard sound. According to the device manager, these were several driver conflictions (including MPU-401), which I fixed with the latest drivers I could find. However, the sound still isn't working.
For some reason, every now and then on startup, the system detects "new" hardware, namely:
VIA standard PCI to ISA bridge
PCI host bridge
VIA standard CPU to PCI bridge
for all of these, the only driver it can find is Viamech.inf in C:\system.
I tried buying a new sound card (Hercules Muse LT) and no joy with that, either, so I'm assuming it's a problem witha driver somewhere along the line.
Any ideas?

Hey, guys-thanks for all your help-I finally got the sodding thing working!
I bit the bullet and reinstalled Windows (with the new sound card installed, hoping my system would use that as default over the onboard chip). First thing I did was run the latest 4-in-1....and got the exact same error messages with the drivers!
You can imagine what I was like ( ), and I started clicking angrily through the browse button, getting increasingly annoyed at the "Dunk!" error sounds coming from my PC, so I turned the sound volume down.
Hang on....error sounds?!!?!?

Youtube widget and Sticky Navigation Bar

The pictures below include my sticky navigation bar that Should overlay all other objects in the muse webpage. It does this with all objects, except for the youtube video placed by using the widget object.
How can I resolve this issue? Youtube is the last object in the layers menu.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Email Attachments - Mainly Photos

When I send/forward email - usually from other senders, the pictures or links to pictures are no longer available & become erased after forwarding - including when forwarded to myself (although no issues when forwarded from my Windows Vista). Im sure an easy fix but have found nowhere to resolve. Thanks! Rick

I need to get a few facts straight to be able to help you better, I think - this sounds a little weird to me. First of all, you mention that you were working with email - is this a webmail system (like Yahoo! mail, Hotmail or Gmail) or an external mail client program (like Outlook, Outlook Express, ThunderBird)?
Also, could you please post the troubleshooting information from Firefox (menu Help -> Troubleshooting Information)? See the article [[Using the Troubleshooting Information page]] and post your Troubleshooting Information data here in a post, so we have more information to use for making further suggestions.
I have never heard of a "Firefox easy batch transfer of photos" utility - no such utility exist in Mozlila Firefox by default, to the very best of my knowledge, so I am certain this is either an add-on or some external program.
Here the troubleshooting informatoin would help, but you do have one plugin that could be the 'guilty' part - the [http://browserplus.yahoo.com/ Yahoo! BrowserPlus] seems to be such a tool, so please see in Tools > Add-ons both under Extensions and Plugins if you can open settings/options for this system and from there reset or disable anything of this type.
From your description, it sounds like a HTML webpage document is being saved instead of the picture that you're expecting it to save. A HTML file will have the Firefox logo on a document.
If you get nowhere that way, try to start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] and test - if that works, you will know that some add-on is messing with your setup, and you can disable all addons and turn them back on again one by one until the problem is found.

How can I trigger audio on mouse hover

I know, I know, sound is annoying on webpages but Im building a site that makes it easier for people who cant read to be able to understand the information better, i.e. making it more a accessible.
Ive tried using the Javascript method but I couldnt get it to work. Ive also looked in Jqeury but its confusing me a lot. Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of questions:
What technology will you be using to play the audio? A Flash media player? HTML5 audio? Whatever built-in media player the user has installed on their machine?
How will you confirm that the user can play or even hear the audio?
As HTML was designed as a "reading" medium (linked scholarly documents was the original purpose behind HTML), you may be running into the fundamental limitations of the medium.
That being said here's a possible HTML5 audio approach (modern browsers including IE 9+ or better):

Weird Mario Music Plays for no Reason -- HELP!!!

Ok guys, I just upgraded to leopard today, and I'm gettin REALLY weird problems. Sometimes, my macbook just plays this weird mario theme like music or this weird buzzing and bird chirping sound for no reason whatsoever. I have made sure that there is nothing running other than finder, yet it is still happening. Also, if it helps, I took a list of all the activities in my activity monitor, so see if you can see anything weird. I just figured it out.
I had made a web clip of Nintendo.com, and apparanty, it was making the sounds. I guess I didn't realize that web clips keep the sounds associated with the webpages they are linked to. In the end, I guess I paniced over nothing, but man, that was WEIRD!
