Sound in Edge Animation not playing in iPad

Hi everyone,
I'm developing a very simple animation in Edge for a Christmas Card (http://www.luiscovas.com/MTS/ecard_MTS_som.html) which works perfectly in desktop browsers. Unfortunatly, when I try it in iPad (either with Safari or Chrome) the sound doesn't play (the animation does, but not the sound).
I used buzz.js, following this tutorial - http://www.edgedocks.com/content/edge-animate-adding-sound-effects
Does anyone nows why the sound doesn't play in iPad? I don't know if this issue only happens with IOS or if it also happens with Android...
I have to deliver this proposal by tomorrow and I'm kind of desperate!

I am having similar issues getting my Edge Animate to work on iPhones. I used the buzz like everyone else but am confused about the trigger. That means I have to have a button? And can I have it start both the music and animation?
I also have an alternate Flash version for desktops like the other poster here but now my clients like the idea of the mobile version and want it. It works perfectly on my Galaxy 3. Here is the link http://www.blcgraphics.com/ecard2/hhic2013e.html.
How can I test it without having an iphone?

Adobe edge animation not playing properly on Google Chrome

hi, just noticed this. finishing up my website http://www.thomasdrotardesign.com/work.html
i've just noticed that the edge animation plays the beginning of the animation then disappears completely except for a font here and there on Google Chrome.
it plays perfectly across all the other browsers. any idea what is going on here.
there is nothing nested. it is a straight time line. i am building it on a mac osX 10.9.4

DISCOVERY the reason adobe edge animation and google don't play well together is because if you use any sort of filter on your typography this will not appear on the chrome browser. sad but true. once i removed all the blur filters off my animations they started playing perfectly on chrome. this is too bad in that chrome is the largest used browser out there. thank you Redesign for your suggestion.

Edge animation not playing in browser?

I created a portfolio slideshow in Edge Animate, it plays beautiful inside of Animate but it will not play in any browser, I'm not sure why.
Any ideas why?

What do you need to know about how it is set up?
I'm on a Mac, I've used Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Opera.. doesn't play on any.

Sorry to say but there's not much going on between the two camps, Muse and Edge A that is. Like you, I subscribe to Muse but since I discovered EA...well...
Thing is, dragging the aimated button to the trigger container just overlays it which effectively hides it. Hence, it will simply not work as a trigger to launch lightbox. I myself had the same idea....but its more involved that this. As always.
A possible solution might be to design your lightbox and simply use the built in trigger for now - go ahead and publish the site like this. View your site in a browser of your choice then click on the trigger which will reveal the URL that launches the Lightbox feature. Copy this in the browser. Cheeky eh?
Then go back to your button in Edge A (select it) and add an on click event handler (look for {} to the left of the element and select click event). Using the snippets on the right-hand plane choose add URL and paste the link from the clipboard between the " " so when the button is clicked it references the lightbox. Go back to Muse and position your edge button again and publish again. Its very long winded I know. Get it? Will it work? dunno. Have I tried it? no. But the logic is faultless, because the URL trigger on your button should point to the lightbox...thats the theory anyway.
Hope this is of some help and hope it works...might as well give it a try eh?...this is how I discovered Edge A trying to animate buttons etc. In the end I decided to build my entire site using it.

Audio from Captivate 6 project will not play on iPad

Developing simple iPad test in Captivate 6 but audio will not play on iPad, works fine in browser. Error message from Safari log /ar/St Ad0.mp3 error code = 4 n/w state = 3; another error reads ..assets/js/CPLibrary.js line 15861ar/St Ad0.mp3 gotStuck@0*. Our "test pad" is first generation, uncertain of iOS version. The slides with basic interaction works fine, graphics look good but no audio.

Facebook videos not playing on iPad Air(safari browser)

Why do my Facebook videos not play in iPad Air(safari browser) but same video play nicely on iPhone 4(safari browser). It asks me to download flash player to play on iPad but plays fine on iPhone without giving any prompt to download flash player.

You should not have trouble playing using the FaceBook app.

Edge Animation not woking on remote server?

Hi I'm new to Edge, and am having problems getting my animated file to work on a remote server its a simle animation (moving background image).
It works ok on my local computer in Dreamweaver and Preview in Browser(s) ok? I thought it may be something to do with the .js files linking from the html file? but ime not clever enough to work that out??
Any help / pointers would be much appreciated..

You did not upload the sub folder(s).
There should be a required subfolder called /edge_includes with a few files in it.
If your project uses images then there should also be another sub folder called /images.
As it stands now, it loos like you copied the images and the edge.1.5.0.min.js files out of their respective folders and placed them into the root.

Notification sound not playing on ipad IOS 7

When I recieve eMails or Alert notifications, the sounds do not play on my iPad 3G Retina Display, IOS 7.
But the sounds do play on my iPhone 3G! (Also IOS 7).
The settings are the same.
All other sounds play normally (Music, Videos etc.).
I have tried with various sounds.
Am I missing something???

Edge animation not working good on ipad

Hallo there,
I have a problem with my slides on contact viewer on my ipad.
I imported in every slide a simple edge animation.
But al the animation are working.
Here is my problem.
When I start the animation on slide 1 then is it working. But when I go the the second slide. Then the animation don't work.
But when I go to the 4th slide then it is working again. I don't really know what is the problem with that.
Can you guys mabye help me out?

There is a limit to how much you can do with this and best practice is to
not jam too much HTML animation into one article. Do you have a delay set
for the Edge files? Try .125 seconds.

Edge audio not playing in DPS

I have buttons to trigger different audio files (mp3) in edge. When previewed on the web it plays fine. Once the oam file is imported to InDesign the audio is gone both on desktop preview and ipad.
Any help would be appreciated.

I talked about this issue a few weeks ago in this forum, and other users too. With no official answer... I though this would have been fixed in today's update... I have not upgraded yet but your answer makes me think you have not send this problem to developers.
Since 2014.1 you can not trigger any mp3 in DPS. This is a very very important problem. This means no support for audio in any App that works with edge animations.
So please, check this out and fix it ASAP. And please, read the forums.... We don't like to feel like guinea pigs with every new upgrade... And we waste a lot of time cause of this important bugs that should be fixed.
Any case, I hope the problem is solved in november update or in the coming days or weeks. Not in the coming months.

EDGE Animations not working in inDesign

When I create a number of animations and export them as sepearte animations, and then take them into my inDesign project and place them as articles in my Folio, they either don't work and /or are very sluggish. Also in one of the EDGE animations I have 2 layers, the top layer is suppose to swipe left which it does in the preview, but when I bring it into inDesign and preview it on my iPad through Adobe Viewer it doesn't work.
Anyone have any ideas to correct this issue?

Once in inDesign, I create a web content overlay that I link to my html animation.
I turn ON auto play and set a delay of 0.25 sec. The article that contains the animation is the third of my folio.
If I preview the article ONLY, the animation fires correctly however if I preview the whole folio, the title appears but with no animation what so ever.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Edge animation only plays when I arrive at the page from the next page

Hi Everyone, I'm really at my wit's end. Everythign was working fine Friday and then on Sunday, it just stopped.
I have several a 13 page Indesign CS6 file, one .OAM file per page. Page 1 plays fine, but when I advance to page 2, the box with the .OAM file flashes, then nothing. The rest of the pages play fine, but if I were to swipe to page 3, then back to page 2, page 2 now plays fine. But if I were to swipe from page 2 to page 1, page 1 does not play.
What's even more odd is any animation I move to page 2 will not play. So if I were to put a blank page as page 2, the non-working page 2 will now animate when it is moved to page 3.
This is an important job, is there a higher level of Adobe tech support I can subscribe to for 1 on 1 help?

Good point, Alistair. I've started rebuilding each page in a new InDesign document and things were going smoothly, until I reached the 8th page, which contains the 8th .OAM (there's one per page). Now, some animations have stopped displaying—same as my original problem. The similarity is while I had 13 pages built up in the original document, it started getting buggy once the 8th .OAM went in. Maybe I've reached the limit to what InDesign/DPS can handle? And once the glitch was set in, it didn't matter if I reduced the file down to 2 pages, the error remained.
Is it possible to divide up the document to two files, pages 1-7 and pages 8-13, then use DPS to combine them for the iPad?
I have plenty of RAM and hard drive space. 16GB RAM, 5 TB storage space, 470 GB internal.

Compressed videos not playing in IPAD

Hi,
I am using flash professional cs6 .my project is depends upon Multimedia.mainly my Application for iPad.
I am using some videos which are in .flv . Those flv files are too large so that i compressed all videos and loaded into my application.After building application those compressed videos are playing fine in my application.
But after published my application into .ipa file. and installed in IPad.but videos are not playing.
Please if any faced this problem suggest me.
I have done In My application with Videos
1.Compressed all videos into .MP4
2.Runed my application and tested ,Status: All videos are playing good
3.Published my App into .ipa
4..ipa file installed in IPAD, Status: Videos are not visible

Please post the codec details of your videos. MP4 is a container that supports a variety of audio and video codecs. Chances are you may have used a codec iPad doesn't support.
All my MP4s for iPad are using good old MainConcept H.264 for video and AAC stereo for audio. All playback is fine. Are you using something like x264 or something non-H.264?

Animations Not Playing

I am working in Flash CS4 and am having an issue with my animations. I create a simple tween and press the enter key to play the animation but it does not play. Instead the enter key just toggles the timeline scrubber on and off. When I play the SWF file there is no animation either. If I manually scrub through the timeline the animation appears to be playing correctly. I am simply placing a box on the stage and moving it from left to right using a classic tween. I have tried shutting down and restarting my PC but that does not work. This just started today and was working fine up until today. I am unaware of having made any changes to preferences or anything. I have reset the Essentials view but it is still not working. When I hit CTR ENTER I can step through the frames one by one using the . and , keys on one of the animatioins, on a second one when I step forward a frame the box I am using disapears.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I tried all of that. I did figure it out though. It was, as I figured, a
setting that had some how gotten changed. The FPS was set to 0.01. When I
set it back to 24FPS everything works as it is supposed to. Thank you so
much for the suggestions though, I do appreciate the help.

Video does not play in ipad

Is there some sort of setting I need to fix to be able to watch videos posted by friends in Facebook? They are not flash videos since I am able to see them in my iPhone4 but for some reason I get the static frame with the read more button whenever I push play on the videos.

It sounds like the Facebook app on your iPhone is not playing video. I recommend following the steps in the article below for an issue like this (you can skip step to install another app from the App Store):
