Hello, i have a MacBook Pro 13 Mid 2012 model running the latest OS X (Mav)
i looked in sound and it doesnt have a use headphone jack as a line in jack or anything so i hope it still works? i need this working if not any other way to get it to work or software that i could use?

Looks like there's no support for audio line in on the headphone jack.

However, if you have a mike with a USB connection you will be able to input through that.

i just figured the problem and has nothing to do with changing those integers. in the audio MIDI setting (app in utilities folder) for the c920 make sure the format is set to 24000hz, and it will finally work. if its set to 16000hz or 32000hz it wont work. i actually went backand put the integer settings to its original settings. 24integer for mac and 16 for c920.

Is there a way to undo the installation of Firefox v3.6, meaning to remove any traces of Firefox 3.6 installation, because this problem only came after I installed Firefox 3.6.

AFTER installing v3.6, the streaming video now shows a blue Q with a question mark in the center. I tried to uninstall that version and install back v3.5, but the problem still exist.

You actually have to update the entire QuickTime application to get a new version of the QuickTime plugin that Firefox uses.
I don't know what you mean by a licensed version of QuickTime. Do you have QuickTime Pro (paid version) or the free version?
If you are updating the free version, just download it from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ and then install it on top of your current version (no need to uninstall it first).

say, when we drag & drop the input/output field on the screen - it'll come with single line display. so, how to make the same field to multiple lines field.
rather i can say my question like, how to increase the height of the input/output field.

I have been doing java for almost a year and have written over 100 programs now. IF i have a program i like how do i make it clickable from the desktop and jsut use it for fun. For example if i created a tic tac toe program how do i let people click on it and play it. Instead of having to compile it first?

How can I make the web server work on port 80 and not 443. I can only access my website using https.

On a Mac Mini server with OS X Lion 10.7.2, I am unalbe to get the web server working on port 80. It switches automatically to port 443 (https).
This situation complicates the access to FileMaker Web publishing, as I don't want my clients having to use https.
How can I change that? Does anyone know?

Well, that's a problem for a start.
Your port 80 connection should NOT use SSL. Port 80 is the standard HTTP port, not HTTPS and most applications that connect to port 80 will not expect to use SSL
If you want to run a site under both HTTP and HTTPS then you create two sites, one on port 80 without SSL and one on port 443 with SSL

You can only create additional mailboxes if your email account is an IMAP account. You tell this by tapping on your account in the mailboxes window - and in the window that shows your inbox, sent folder, trash folder, etc - there will be an Edit button at the top of that window. If there is no edit button - you do not have an IMAP account and you can't create new mailboxes. If the Edit button is there - tap on it and the tap New Mailbox at the bottom of the window.

I have the Satellite 5200-902 notebook. Unfortunately there is no support for such an "old" notebook like this concerning Windows Vista. Vista runs great on it but the only thing I didn´t make is to make to FN buttons work in Vista.
Can someone please give me an advice ?

Unfortunately I do not believe you will have success with those buttons. The fact is that Toshiba use self designed utility for functionality of all FN buttons. As you know, old notebook models are not vista supported and you will not be able to find and install any utility for that.

How can I make the headphone button pause/resume the right thing on my MacBook?

On my iPhone, I've developed the habit of using the headphone button to pause/resume/skip what I'm listening to.
But on my Mac, I try to do the same and instead it ends up launching iTunes, which I do not generally use for listening to music.

I start playing the music, then I press the headphone button. Instead of pausing the playing music, as I expect, iTunes opens.
The linked page works fine on my iPhone, with the same headphones.
How do I get the proper behavior back?

Do a hard restart:
hold the power button and the home button down together until the device shows the apple symbol again (hold it past the actual red slider and black screen). When you see the Apple symbol come up, release both buttons
then try to reset if that does not work
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all
