Sound is hanging when changing patch.
Hello.
The problem is that if i am pressing the sustain pedal while im changing a patch, the last notes in the previous patch stays on. it doesent goes of untill i hit the space bar or panic button.
Help.
Could it be that i need to configurw some All notes off when changing patch? Not an idel solution but that would be better than to end upp with a hang in a live situation.
Im not expessing my self corectly.
The way i want it to work is as you describe it. The note from the selected patch sustaind untill the pedal is released. Thats the way my master keyboard (Roland A80) works.
But the problem is that it newer STOPS sustaining ( after patch change, and pedal release).
Im using a New MBP, New Motu midinterface and a Clavia Stage88 keyboard.
If MS comes with the sustain feature (and thats what i want), i will check my pedal (polarity?) delet the old pedal and make a new. mayby something whent wrong whan i created the pedal.
Does that sound like a good plan?

Macbook Pro Hangs when Changing locations
Hello Everyone,
I have a Macbook Pro 2.16 running Leopard 10.5.1 and every now and then when I change network Locations from Wireless access point to anther (WPA Personal to WPA Enterprise or vice versa), the laptop simply hangs?! Mouse stops moving and nothing responds. I need to hold down the power button to restart the button. It's go em really worried as I have am using FileVault and crashing the box like this will like lead to corruption in the FileVault volume. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions? It's never happened to me in Tiger!
RemyI have wondered if VMWare fusion is involved simply because it sets up a lot of network devices.
VMWare isn't necessary for this to happen, since I've had it happen a few times to me, too, but I don't have any of the Windows stuff: Boot Camp, Parallels, or VMWare installed.
I think you're right that it's only when I switch from wireless to ethernet. I've had a couple of theories along the way, but each time it happens, things seem to be a bit different, so now I'm not sure.
One interesting thing is that at least once I did manage to get control of the machine (sort of) by logging in via SSH. Because I was in a hurry to get to work, I just shut it down using the Terminal. So I don't know if I could have gotten complete control by killing the login window, for example.
One thing I've noticed is that it seems to happen shortly after I've rebooted anyway. Yesterday morning I installed a security update and the new iTunes and QuickTime, which meant a reboot. And last night I got this hang when I was getting the computer ready to go to work today. But before I updated yesterday morning, the uptime was over 30 days. So it's not common for me.
I think, in another post, Gnarlodius mentioned only changing the location via the System Preferences and not having this problem. I may try that for a while.

Hanging when changing channels
I am currently on release 1.9 build 10.95. Ever since the software was "upgraded" I have noticed the following:
Intermittently, when changing channels, by selecting from the guide, often the system will hang, for up to a minute, before the channel finally changes, almost as if it is waiting for something to time out.
Intermittently, when I use the remote, the green light will flash on the box showing that a signal has been received, but nothing happens. I may have to issue the command two or three times.
This has happened on all three of our DVR's - Motorola QIP - 7216 1
I have reset the box via software, physically reset the box by pulling the power chord, and put new batteries into the remote, numerous times, and the problem persists.
Is it only me, or has this problem been reported under a different heading?Usually, you can turn off a video setting and it speeds up the responce time of the set top box. Try hitting menu - settings - video settings - sd override and selecting off. There are other settings in there but they dont seem to affect the responce time much.

My iPod Video hangs when changing track
Just now, my iPod Video hung when changing to another track... So I had to reset it (something I don't want to do). Does anyone have the same problem?
By the way, I didn't charge my iPod till it says it's full. How much would it affect the battery capacity? (It only last for about 5 to 6 hours...)mine does this too

Java installation hangs when applying patches
Hi all,
I recently removed my java application from my computer then tried to reinstall from the add on plug in in firefox. The program would hang at applying patches. After serveral cleanings of the failed attempt, and many hard reboots later (because the entire system would hang and not reboot from the start menu), i found that firefox 2.0.0.4 does not support the latest version.
I then tried the next version down.. same thing happened. So I tried to downlaod it for just IE7, that also yielded the same result. Bottom line... the program keeps hanging at applying patches, doesn't seem to do anything for at least 30 minutes, before I give up and have to hard reboot my computer.
I've tried searching the problem on google, but have found nothing that resembles my problem or fixes it, following removal and installation leads.
Please help!

[SLVD] MySQL Query Browser (1.2.12) hangs when changing schma/database
After a rather big upgrade yesterday (see paste below) I have got a problem with MySQL query browser which is found in package mysql-gui-tools. Everything else seems to be okay, but after upgrading mysql-gui-tools from 5.0r12-3 to 5.0r14-1 (..and now, after another update, its at 5.0r14-2) it is no longer able to refresh schema/databases. Every time I try to change/refresh schema in the schema menu to the right the program hangs and I have to kill it. A refresh icon appears as normal to the left of the schema I'm trying to refresh, but that icon too has frozen. I am however able to execute normal SELECT queries etc if I write the full "path" to the table in the SQL query, but when I try a USE query the same thing happens.
I have done some searching on the Internet about this and found this thread to be interesting. Too bad it's from July 2007..
I tried to downgrade to the old version of query browser, but then I got this problem:
/usr/bin/mysql-query-browser-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient_r.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
..So I guess theres a dependency problem here with the old version.
Has anyone else got any problem with the MySQL Query Browser after upgrade or has any ideas for a solution?

I downloaded all related files to this package and built it myself now, with some changes to PGKBUILD and the mysql-gui-tools.chema_change_freeze_bug.patch. It works again :-)

Lost images/sound clips/video when changing langua...
i've never had this problem or any similar problems in the 4 months i've had this phone. today i changed the language from english to tagalog (pilipino), and when the phone restarted it had deleted all of my images (bar one), videos and sound clips (bar one). that's all i've noticed it has deleted so far, my messages and contacts are still there. i've never had problems with it prior to this happening... is there any way of recovering the data?
I've also got same problem. Interestingly enough, background music added to DVDs title page plays OK on the burned CD (everything previews perfectly). However, go to 'play' the burned DVD, and while the video is there, the audio tracks are silent. Source material is an iMove project, and audio tracks are all AIFF files.
Also tried physically burning the DVD with Disk Utility. DVD burns OK, but on playback (both on home stereo DVD player, and on Mac), title slide and background music works fine, but after selecting to play the movie, the audio tracks are all gone... only silence This is with burning directly from iDVD, or by saving the project as an img file, and then burning it to DVD via Disk Utility.
Any clues appreciated!

Iphoto hangs when changing layout of cards
Hi,
I create a card with some pictures in it. When I change the layout all pictures are gone.
Now I have to exit iphoto ohterwise it hangs.
Can someone help?
SbroesamleThere seems to be a bug with iPhoto 8.1.2 and Mavericks 10.9.2 on some machines. Report your problem to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html. However, since iPhoto is up to 9.5.1 now I doubt if there will be any effort put in by Apple for that version of iPhoto.
You can upgrade to iPhoto 9.5.1 via the App Store but it will be a paid upgrade.

USB sound card crackling when changing nr of channels in ALSA
Hello! I have read the alsa config and some related posts from brebs (https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=10353) and I setup upmixing to 5.1 and dmix with a USB sound card. It works, but the sound is constantly crackling. I have simplified my .asoundrc to find out where did this problem came from and I got this:

Gnome hangs when changing theme [SOLVED]
Hey guys,
Don't know if anyone had this problem of if its been posted before so anyways .....
I recently installed Voodoo with kde, gnome & xfce.
My main desktop is KDE but I do use GNOME & XFCE occasionally.
When on KDE I like to be able to change my gtk theme so I installed gtk-qt-engine.
After choosing a theme in the GTK-QT-Engine settings box my gtk apps would adjust accordingly and everything would be fine.
However, when I logged into GNOME and tried to change the GNOME theme .... my desktop would freeze
If I did a ctrl+atl+del I would be taken to gdm but would now get .Xsession errors when trying to re-login.
I would have to login back to KDE, delete the gconf directories and only then was I able to log back into GNOME.
Now the reason I could not change the theme in GNOME was coz the gtk-qt-engine program modified my .gtkrc-2.0 .... and this was causing all the hang ups .... pun intended.
So I edited the gtk-qt-engine modified .gtkrc-2.0 file & commented out everything.
After this GNOME works perfectly and changing themes is now a snap

MPD hangs when changing tracks or seeking
MPD is VERY touchy when I change the current playing track, or seek.
I've been using ncmpcpp, but I witness the same behavior with other clients too.
Since I've seen other people mention the same stability issues, I was wondering if anyone came up with a solution for this ?
I was hoping to use mpd to build my music db, but I 'skim' through a lot of music, so it's not usable to me right now...
Will appreciate any help.

Try that link out and try setting it up via user in the alternate setup. I had issues it running as deamon... This way it will run as a local user and just add it to a start script when you start your .xinitrc or autostart.sh...

System hanging when i try to display or change or create a function module?
Hi Experts,
My system is hanging when i try to display or change or create a FM using SE37 transaction. I am able to execute SE37 transaction but when i give a FM name which is already existing, the system is getting hanged up. If i give a FM which is not present in the system and try to display it, it gives an error "FM does not exists". I have unistalled the SAP logon and reinstalled it again and restarted my system but still this problem is encountered.
Can any one please help me in this issue??

Go to se38 transaction and look at UTILITIES-> Settings-> ABAP editor-> Change front-end editor to old(if it is new) and check once. Hope this solves your problem becuase this is what i have done for my problem and let me know whether the problem has been solved.

Check the mute switch along the side, near the external volume controls.

Hi, recently purchased macbook 13", I have problem with sound when connect to my LG Smart tv with sound system. When i change sounds effect on my sound system also LG its all go quiet didn't have this problem with my laptop. Any advise ?
Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.
