Sound isnt working on music videos after converting

can someone help me out with this. i convert the files using quicktime 7 pro, and the videos will convert successfully but there is no sound on my head phones, or when i add the converted files into my itunes and try to play it. does anyone know how i can fix this?

where can i find this program?
If you are referring to Forty-TwoDVD-VXPlus, here is the URL link:
http://www.kaisakura.com/fortytwovx.php
You can download and "try before you buy" the program here. In demo mode you are limited to the copy of 2 DVD (MPEG2) chapters or 10 minutes of a video file. (Assume you may wish to test MPEG1 here.) In addition, the queue function is not available for tests.
Select a source file or DVD folder by dropping it into the small window on the control pallet as instructed. Then select your output format. (You will find the iPod preset listed under the "Portable" menu.) Program defaults to 1-pass mode when booted but you can select 2-pass in "Preferences" if desired. At this point you can "preview" the material selected and/or start the conversion process. When you start the conversion, a window will open to allow you to give the name and location for your output file. In addition, you can specify a target file size at the same time. I usually allow 4MB per minute of source material as a "rule of thumb." (This equates to about 550kbps which should provide a "good" quality final product if you have a good, clean source.) Feel free to experiment with this setting to determine optimum output quality and economy of iPod space.
When processing is completed, simply add the finished file to iTunes, sync your iPod, test the result. Lest us know if all went well. Hopes this was of some assistance and best of luck!

  • I took my Pavilion dv6000 apart and now the sound isnt working

    So here is the situation...
My fan has been making noise so I wanted to clean out all the dust from inside my Pavilion dv6000. (But that isn't what i need help with right now.) So after I took it all apart and put it back together, I had this problem with turning the computer on. I think it had to do with this little ribbon cable that wasn't going in the spot where it had to be (it was connected to the power button chip.) I finally got that ribbon where it was suppose to be, and tried to turn it on. It still didnt start. The battery light would go on when it was plugged in, but nothing happened when I pushed the power button. I finally decided to give up and clean the finger prints off of it so I could bring it to my IT teacher tomorrow. While cleaning it, it all of a sudden turned on. I dont know what happened. It just turned on by itself. I mean, I could have pushed something while cleaning it, or maybe something was loose and tightened while i was cleaning it. But anyway, I finally got it to turn on. Now while doing homework, I notice the sound isnt working. I really dont want to take it apart if i dont have to becuase this is the last week of school and I need these practice tests that I put on my computer. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to possibly fix my audio without taking it apart. I was thinking if i check for the latest driver maybe that would help, but i have the latest driver and the sound still doesnt work. So does anyone know how I can fix this without taking it apart? If not does anyone know how I can fix it if i do take it apart? (for example, things to check to make sure they are connected or tightened?)
Thanks for your time and help, I really appreciate it.

  • Is it possible to play one music video after another in itunes/front row?

Hi all. Can anyone help me with this problem? When I use the movie part of front row to watch and listen to music vids I have front row goes back to the movie menu after each video has ended. Is it at all possible to watch one video after another without having to scroll down to the next music video after each music video has finished playing? Not sure if im being incredibly dense but any help would be greatly appreciated. I have Apple Care and they have no idea what im on about!
    Thanks Rob

I've been doing some experimenting on this. I made a smart playlist in iTunes to gather all my music videos (which I have previously tagged with 'VIDEO' in the comment field).
In Frontrow, iTunes will not play the video at all- it just shows a single frame and plays the audio; in Movies, music videos, it will play one music video correctly, but then go back to the music video menu. This seems to be a known problem.
My solution is to go back to the desktop and use iTunes in the old fashioned way! Selecting my new VIDEO smart playlist will play all my music videos in any order I like using the normal parameters i.e. random, alphabetical by artist, album, name etc..
    Hope this helps.

  • HELP! my sound isnt working

my sound isnt working on my macbook pro. The setting seem normal and the icon at the top bar is completly gray and all the way at the top. What do i do to help this??

Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
    1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
        Highlight  Internal Speakers / Headphones
Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
    2. Remove the headphone.
If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
    3. Reset PRAM.  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405
    4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
        Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
    5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.

  • My iPhone 4S has no sound when I play music, videos and movies

My iPhone 4S has no sound when I play music, videos and movies

Is the slider all the way to the right??
And no, if your phone is vibrating when you get texts/calls then you're not in Do Not Disturb.   You would see a Crescent Moon symbol to the left of Battery % if it was on.

  • Itunes sound isnt working!

my itunes and safari sounds on my macbook air isnt working! I'm not sure what happened to it. it was working perfectly fine in the morning and then its stopped working about an hour after i was using it. However, i know the sound works because when I turn on the computer, it makes a sound.

    Try this Apple help article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1875?viewlocale=en_US
When you get to your compatibility tab, none of the checkboxes should be ticked.
When you have done this for Quicktime, go to Program Files\iTunes and do the same thing for iTunes.exe, just in case that is involved too.

  • Water damage speaker doesnt work for music/ videos

I was on the shower and a bit of water hit my iphone 4s specifically on the ear speaker, though it is still working ear speaker is not and cannot play music/ videos using the speaker, but I can use the speaker when talking to someone on the other line, its either that or I use and earphones.  What do I need to do?

Put it in a container with rice, close it and pray hard that the damage isn't permanent. I know someone who had a similar situation, got lucky and their phone works perfectly. I also know another person whose phone was permanently damage.
Also, remember it is never good for your phone to be in places like that, it can be damaged not just by accidental splashing but also by steam and overall humidity.  In short, iPhones and shower rooms don't mix.

  • Sound not working on Youtube video embedded in webpage used in web clip.

I created a web clip and installed it using ipcu. On the web page I've created that I'm using for the web clip, there is an embedded Youtube video. The sound for the video is not working. Why is the sound not working? It works in safari if go to Youtube.
    IOS version 6.1
    Model: MD511LL/A

My computer also recently downloaded soundflower? I didn't approve of this change
I'm not sure what that means, but if Soundflower really is installed, uninstall it according to the developer's instructions. Back up all data before making any changes. Reboot and test.

  • Sound Not Working for ENVY dv6 after recent updates

Not sure if it was the most recent updates that did it or if it was just random, but...my sound has stopped working. OCCASIONALLY right after I restart, I can get the sound to work for a few minutes, but that's about it.  (I'm running Windows 8.1, by the way.)
I've tried the troubleshooter and it claims there's no issue. Sound card is there and working as far as I can tell; it's all enabled. I'm not muted or anything quite that trivial. I would try uninstalling an update, but I'm not sure that would even help. Prior to the update, my sound had started becoming distorted at time and a little crackly. Nothing too drastic or often, so I wasn't too bothered. Obviously, I am bothered by a complete lack of sound.
I have no idea whether or not headphones work still. I haven't been able to get the speakers working long enough to try them. "Fixit" claims it won't work with my computer, so I can't try that alternate troublershooter.
I've read every message board imaginable and updated and re-updated all my drivers. Not the issue. I have no idea what's wrong and no idea how to fix it, but it needs to be fixed.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello @samajama,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I have read your post on how the sound coming from your notebook's speakers is not working, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To restore the sound to your notebook's system, I recommend following this document on No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8). This should help to address a specific Microsoft update that has caused sound output issues.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Trouble shoot Issue in QT Pro: I have sound but no Video after convert

I hope this hasn't been answered somewhere else if so I apologize. I have been using QuickTime Pro to convert .mkv files to .mp4. I muxed them with MkvMerge. Then I open them in QuickTime Pro and export as a mp4 for Ps3 playback. They are 1080p Hd movie files and I have had no problems until today. I have one mkv that when converted to mp4 plays only sound and no video. Its just a black screen. I checked the muxed files when I open them in QT Pro and they work fine so its only after I convert the .mka to .mp4 that I have the video issue. I've already done a few other files so I don't know why this isn't working? Any ideas?

It could be a 'difficult' form of Matroska file. FYI Matroska is just a container like MOV or AVI, and some mkv have the video encoded with Real Video Codec (RV9 RV10). Perian+QT can't decode this, but VLC will play .mkv files just fine on OS X, as long as they don't use H.264!
It's a bit of a lottery until Matroska decide to support the Apple platform. I have found this:
    http://mkv4mac.free.fr/index.php?lang=en&p=lec
    which may help.
But there may be another workaround: 1. Get Info the mkv file
    2. Change to extension to wmv. Save as wmv and that could work better.
Or this link may be helpful:
    http://www.squidoo.com/mkv-converter-mac
Recently, a poster (ZachP14) suggested this:
"There's a program called Plex that runs .mkv files awesome on my 2.0 ghz macbook."

    Maybe worth a try?

  • IPhone 5s no call/text sounds work. Game sounds done work either. Only sound that works are music and videos

the call/text sounds don't work. Neither do sounds coming from the games I play(clash of clan) or other apps I use such as snapchat/vine. the sounds only When I play music/videos

    Hi there Prideleader,
You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.
iOS: Force an app to close
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

  • My computer will no longer emit sound of any kind, music, video, warning, or otherwise

I'm not sure how it happened, I was trying to play something on itunes when everything froze up and the music stopped. But the problem is not limited to itunes, i can't hear any sound of any kind from my computer. I have checked and the speakers for my computer are labeled as working completely fine, and the computer says that everything appears to be in working order. Except still no sound, whether its music, a video, or even warning sounds or start up sounds the computer naturally makes.

    Hi,
Can you post back with the following.
    1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.
    2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 64bit ).

  • I don;t have any sound when playing a Music Video

I installed my new IPOD, 30GB connected to my laptop, I was able to copy my .mp3 and .mpeg songs to Itunes which in turn copied ti my IPOD. I used the Itunes conversion utility for my .mpeg video songs then copied them to my IPOD. I can see the video playing on my IPOD but there is no sound.... I did check my volume control but still no sound, what am I not doing, is it possible the conversion process stripped the sound portion???

I've just bought yesterday my IPod Video 30Go and I can see the same problem.
Apple always likes to complicate easy things. My daugther has a cheaper MP3 player with video capabilities and you can download directly videos and movies in that player.
As mentioned earlier in this forum, videos and movies for IPod must be in MPEG4/MP4 format. Go to www.squared5.com site and download their MPEG Streamclip utility for free. Works great. You can then hear sound from your videos.
And the videos are then ready to download in the IPod without going through the 'Convert Selection to IPod' option.
