Sound Missing using frame by frame!!!!

Dear FCP 7 Community,
during my recent editing, I suddenly experienced some difficulties. When I want to my make a clear cut to the beat, I can´t hear the audio track on my sequenz window, by using the frame by frame option.
Also on the upper left Corner in the Viewer Window there´s this framework around it, that keeps moving. It seems that I can´t change the aspect ratio correctly. At the buttom there´s a picture to solve my problem faster.

The Audio Part worked great, thanks about that.
The Video Part on the other hand doesn´t work. I did everything you told me, I even rebooted couple of times, but it won´t work.
Every time I open FCP I can see in the Viewer Tab the Source Clip with a In and Out Point, although I did´nt set it up.
Any other reason you might know?

Is it possible to partially export a video using frame blending?

For example, I have a video intro that, after being uploaded and processed on YouTube, looks very choppy. However, if I export it using frame blending, it looks perfectly fine. The down side is that the rest of the video looks somewhat more blurry, as frame blending tends to do. I like how fluid the intro is when frame blended, but I perfer the rest of the video when it's just exported normally. I found an option called frame blend under the clip's video options, making me think that I could fix my problem, but it didn't seem like it did anything at all when I exported it. Is what I'm trying to achieve actually possible, or will I just have to deal with it, one way or the other?

1. I export in H.264 with the preset HDTV 720p 29.97 fps High Quality. I would use the YouTube preset, but it compresses the audio to a point where it sounds terrible. I'm sure there's a way to fix this, but I don't know enough about it to do so myself.
2. My sequence also runs at 29.97 fps.
3. The intro consists of several game capture clips all .avi at what I think is 29 fps. Many of the clips are sped up to at least 200%.

Exprt sounds in second frame

is there any way to export sounds in frame# just like the
ActionScript setting
Export classes in frame# (Flash CS3)
Export frame for classes(Flash 8)
i need to make a preloader for my SWF.
and i have about 100+ sounds to use with AS later
so i want it to export in frame 2
i know i can make it with unselect the "Export in first
frame" in linkage properties and then create an movieClip and
attach them all into timeline of first frame of the MovieClip, then
place that MovieClip in second frame of my MainTimeline.
but i have 100+ of them, it really took time to do that
is there any faster way to export all Sounds into second
frame of the SWF, and usable for ActionScript

Missing photo frames

I just got my first Mac, a mini. I just created a test website and uploaded it to .Mac. One of the 2 photo pages I created is missing the frames around the photos and the "Start Slideshow" icon just says "Made on a Mac". I recreated the site and republished it, but the same problem.

I vaguely remember seeing this a looooong time ago (long in iWeb existence terms!). Are you running iWeb 1.0.1, or just 1.0.0 as there were some useful fixes and I am not sure if one of them addressed issues like this or nnot. I could of course be talking through my hat. Does Firefox 23.0.1 support frames? p This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them. /p

Our webpage used to display perfectly in Firefox now it doesn't. When I view page source the following appears among the HTML: <pre><nowiki>This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them. </nowiki></pre>

You only get the "This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't support them." text if either frames are disabled or you use a browser that doesn't support frames (the text is in a <noframes> </noframes> block). Firefox would display this text under normal conditions.
Note that the Menu object is IE only and doesn't work in Firefox. 
See the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+J) for errors. 
The page source also shows red code for the map tag (start tag "map" seen in "table"). 
A lot of images seem to be missing or aren't loaded because of script errors.

How can i slide a sound track one frame at a time in Pre 10

i do a lot of music videos where i record audio separtly from the video and then sync them and i have a lot of trouble getting them in sync, does anyone have any good tricks to do this? also, can i move said sound track one frame at a time in either direction to help get these tracks to sync up?

If you zoom to the max, and watch that little TimeCode box (it pops up, when you begin dragging), just look at the last two digits, as those are the Frames. Even with my clumsy hands and fingers, I can nail the displacement to Frame-accurate standards.
Now, some other NLE's go a step further, in that when the Clip is Selected, one can nudge it along, with modifier keys and the Left-Right Cursor keys. I do not think that has been added to PrE 10, but would be a great Feature Request.

[Edit] Well shut my mouth! After you Select the Clip (unlinking with Alt+click, if muxed), just hold down the Alt key, while hitting the Left-Rigt Cursor keys!!!! Forget that Feature Request.

Hi Eben,
there is an HTMLB element for iFrames. It is called <a href="https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04s/SPS7/hb/com/sapportals/htmlb/htmlcontainer/IsolatedHtmlContainer.html">IsolatedHtmlContainer</a>. Have a look into it.
Perhaps it might solve your problems.

Firefox 4 is not saving pages (using frames) I visit in the history list, but Firefox 3 does. What could be wrong (may be related to no-cache)?

When using FF 3, I can go back through the history using the arrows on the toolbar. When using FF4, I can't. This applies to an internal site where the page uses frames and the header pragma "no-cache". This also happens in safe mode.

I don't know what the "initcardwithstoreprefs failed" means: you need to set it in context of the other messages. But the main purpose of using the tail command is to look for "loginwindow exited" messages, and then see what came before them.
So, give a bit more detail about your problem: for a start, on which of your machines is this happening? Have you tried disconnecting any USB devices except for mouse and keyboard? In fact, give a lot more detail

Mixed AS Versions using frames

I have a site with two frames. Is it possible to load one
HTML document in one frame that contains an SWF published using AS
2.0 and another HTML document into the other frame that contains an
SWF published in AS 3.0?
I am not sure how this works in a browser that has the Flash
Player version 9 installed - can it handle both versions
concurrently if they are in different HTML doc and frames?

I guess I am just not sure exactly "how" the Flash Player
Plugin actually works inside a browser. I know the FlashPlayer9
will play EITHER an SWF saved using AS2.0 or AS3.0, but never
considered how it handled "mixed" versions. So I guess what you are
saying is that even without using "frames", if I were to link two
separate SWFs within the same HTML page that one could use AS3 and
the other AS2 and they would co-exist - is that right? If so, will
the AS2 SWF slow down the play performance of the AS3 SWF or are
they handled totally separate by the Player?

Here is my dilema. I'm working on a pretty big site. The site
has about 8
sections each which have about 10 subsections. I basically
created 8 pages
total for all of the subsections but I don't want to have to
create hundreds
of pages for all the subsections so since all the pages look
exactly
identical in the subsections is there a way I could just make
it so the only
content that changes when you go to one of the subsections is
the main
content table? I'm assuming to do this I would need to use
frames unless
there is another way I don't know of yet? Anyone got any
pointers?

Frames wouldn't alleviate the need to create the many pages.
You'd still
need a seprate file for each page within each subsection.
What you're looking for is some manner of server technology -
be it ASP,
PHP, etc. - that allows you to utilize a template for the
page, and load
in only the content specific to the topic.

Using Frames in JSF

Can anyone provide an example on how to use frames inside JSF? I don't know how to define the framesets inside the jsf file. A simple example will go a long way. Thanks.

Nope, I'm not big on samples, especially of code I've never tried to write. Give it a try, if you have a problem post your code and we'll take a look.

The performance of your pages are dependent on many factors. Just adding a tab should not have an impact on performance.

Paste doesn't work on IPad, on sites that use frames

I work for MindBody Inc. and a client of ours brought to my attention that paste simply doesn't paste on our site. This is quite annoying for them, and in trying to find a fix, I discovered that a fairly moderate bug in Safari on the IPad. Paste just simply doesn't work in frames.
Does anyone know how I would go about submitting a bug to Apple?

When browsing the frameTest.html paste doesn't work. It shows up but clicking it pastes nothing.
Going to brianTest.html, paste works as expected.

Same problem with Atomic Web Browser on the websites using frames.
All the "identify web browser as" options have been tested, unsuccessfully.
It seems that the new iPad 4.2 iOS version solves the problem. I will test it on monday and post the results here. Stay tuned, or check it by yourself...

Why the images have missed their frame stroke, once online?

I am working on my new website on iweb 09, and published a test, it looks very nice.
The only thing I don´t understand is why the images have missed their frame stroke, once online.
What´s wrong, any idea?
On iWeb, Inspector/Graphic/Stroke/Picture Frame

It appears that the Scrips folder for you site has not been uploaded or not uploaded fully. There are two files, iWebImage.js and iWebSite.js. Try the following:
1 - do a File->Publish Entire Site and see if the site works as intended. You may have to do a refresh on the pages a couple of times.
2 - next, in needed, publish your site to a folder on your hard drive. Mount your iDisk and go to the iDisk/Web/Sites/arkimo folder. Drag the two files above from the Scripts folder on your computer into the Scripts folder on the iDisk Then try the site again.
Part of the problem is the server, some files not loading the first time, and part is the missing js files in the Scripts folder.

CAN periodic transmit message with different modes using Frame API's

I want to transmit a CAN message periodically using Frame API's. I am able to send messages which dont have modes inside the message. For some messages having multiplexer in ".ncd " files and inside that multiplexer having different modes. Now in order to send all the modes of that message periodically by configuring them once by using Frame API's i did not find a way. I am able to send messages but the last updated mode is only sent periodically. Is there any way that CAN message having different modes can be sent periodically, updating all modes periodically automatically using Frame API's.

You could set the period for N*Period, N being the number of modes. You just need to make sure your application changes the modes fast enough to update each periodic frame.
For example, say you have 2 modes and the frame's period should be 10ms. That means that you would like that frame to go out twice every 10ms, updating mode 1 and then mode 2. So, that means that the frames period can be 5ms.
1. It will start by updating mode1
2. 5ms later, it will update mode2
3. 5ms later it will update mode1 again
mode 1 really has a period of 10ms...
You just have to make sure that you can update the frame fast enough, or switch between modes fast enough, or you will send the same mode twice.
