Sound&music with firefox

I have a correct sound with the speakers of my computer on firefox. But I use a second channel of the mastercard (P4P800E-Deluxe) to send the sound to my stereo which is in another room. It works well with winamp or media player, but it doesn't work with firefox. I don't know if the problem comes from firefox or from the flash plugins used. So when I listen to music on a web site I can not have it in the other room.
Anybody has any clues?

Have you tried IE 10, out of curiousity. Does it play in there?

How to turn off annoying ad sound/music on firefox whenever I open a website

Hello I was hoping that I could get help with ad music that play whenever I open a new webside. It happens if I want to open a new website after being on the previous website after about a minute. I identify the source, I believe thanks to internet download manager at: http://newlotto.pch.com/images/games/113/201408_progressive_daytime_package/sounds/lc_corkpop.mp3. I am no longer subscribed to publishers clearing house btw and I tried many solutions here such as the adblock and I did the trick, "about:config" & "plugins.click_to_play" And I also did an Anti-Malware scan with no such luck. The good new - if you can call it that is that it only happens whenever I used firefox and not my other browsers.
I hope I cane get a solution to this.

Thanks, neosp. By resetting firefox, it was enough to get rid of that sound/music. I wish I thought of that sooner. Thanks for replying as well, cor-el. I will keep that in mind.

Can't play music with Firefox

when I visit music sites can't play music in the Firefox browser although it was working in a good way couple weeks ago. I'm using the latest version of Android 5.0.1

When I am connected with Firefox I am hearing a background sound of a door opening and closing.

Starting about one month ago I have been hearing a background sound of a door opening or closing. When opening, it is the sound of a latch turning and then a creaking door sound, and when closing it is the sound of a slamming latch.It is intermittent, ocurring every 5-10 minutes or so when connected with Firefox. There is no apparent problem associated with sounds, I'm just wondering why it's happening and what it might mean.

The genuine Apple adapter works for me, most cheap knockoffs do not support sound ,it is usually in the micro print at bottom of the ebay offerring
It is pricey by comparison but it works and the knock offs usually don't pay the patent licence fee hence they guess the technology that is in the lightning plug
and charge a minimal price

Did you check the volume setting in the player to make sure that the sound isn't muted?

I have yahoo music player on home page worked with firefox 3, chrome, ix, doesn't with firefox 4 why not

yahoo is home page. yahoo music worked with firefox till I upgraded to firefox 4. Works with ie and just tried chrome. Screen comes up, video doesn't play, just grey in video screen. Norton security isn't blocking. Would rather use firefox, If firefox 4 won't work, how do I install previous version. Thanks Vernon.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
If it fails regardless, you can try changing the user agent like this:
#In the location bar at the top, type: '''about:config''' and hit Enter.

No sound while plying music with iTunes

Hi,
Recently, I do not have any more sound coming from iTunes. All sound from other applications and system sounds are all working well but nothing from iTunes, neither from my music nor from the movies. iTune stay silent whatever the output I choos in sys_pref/sound (wire headset, blutooth headset, internal iMac speacker,...) . Does any one has the same issue or any solution to this issue.
I am using an iMac early 2008 under OS X 10.8.2 and iTunes 11.0.1(12)

You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

Can I make music with these external sound car

Could you tell me more information about external sound card SoundBlaster Surround 5. 24-bit's I want make music with my USB electronic keys and for this I must have very low sound latence. I have notebook with integrated sound card, and latence is to high, so I can't playing on my keys!
I need informations about ASIO and MIDI drivers and other info about HW latence.

Any USB card surely won't make the latency any better. If you want a laptop for professional music use, you should probably opt for a Macbook.

No sound with Firefox. PC sound is OK. DVD's play sound fine. Firefox stopped.

There is no sound with Firefox 5.0.1 or prior version (updated Firefox in attempt to fix). PC sound work fine. Play Solitaire, sound OK. Play DVD, sound is OK. Not in Firefox. Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash (twice) to no avail. Firefox says all plug ins are up to date.

UPDATE2:
Apparently using another Firefox profile the plugin-container.exe process is no longer take too much memory. However I'm currently seeing a little increase in using resources like threads and memory allocated.
It seems to me that the plugin-container.exe process and plugins installed don't work very well together. Sometimes the firefox.exe process still exists even when I had exited from the main menu (Exit).
Hoever I'm not going to continue this "test" since it is going to take too much time for me.
This thread could be intended as closed for me.

Try compressed air. Try tweezers and a magnifying glass with good light.

I have stopped getting any sound with firefox v8

Since my last firefox update, I have stopped getting sound with firefox v8. ie utube no sound, I can get sound with another browser, any ideas?

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. PC died and in turn my main iTunes library. iPhone was synced to it. Now when I try to connect to another library it tells me the phone must be wiped clean before I can manage music with new library. Any way around that? Don't want to lose music.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new one.
It sounds like you have failed to do this, which is not good at all.
You will have to transfer your itunes purchases from your iphone. Authorize your computer for your itunes account
About iTunes Store authorization and deauthorization
Open itunes, plug in iphone, do NOT sync, click File>Transfer Purchases
When you do sync you will lose your pics ( photo library - synced from your old computer), your itunes content ( music, apps, videos,etc) , your contacts and your calendars. So do NOT sync yet. This is why a backup copy is so important.
Enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer.
When you first sync, you should get the option to merger the data. Choose it.
If you want your pics, then you will need to e-mail them to yourself before you sync. They will not be of the original quality as they are reduced when synced to iphone.
When all is as goos as it can be, then backup your computer, and always maintain the backup.
