Sound notification on touch validity fingerprint

can i disable sound notifications of windows 8 when i touch validity fingerprint??? because while i write on my notebook (hp probook 430 g1) i touch validity fingerprints with palm of my hand and i receive this warning on events viewer: Validity USDK
this because my palm is not my fingerprint
these notifications are so annoying!!!!

9380 Touch - sound notification but no icon

I have the new 9380 Curve Touch, I often will hear a sound notification of a BBM / Whatsapp but no icon is displaying and the red light is not flashing. I have all my settings on to show notifications and led display. Any easy solution?

Something worked. I synced manually - maybe that did it. I did a lot of fooling around with controls.
In any case, the icon belatedly showed up, so the Touch is OK and I don't have to take it back to ....

No sound notifications

I have an Ipod touch 4G and have never been able to receive sound notifications from my Apps at home but I can get them anywhere else that has wifi and when people come over my house they are able to receive sound on their Ipod, why can't I on mine? I did a restore but that didn't work.

That is a bit strange. Since it works for other devices, it does narrow it down to your iPod. Perhaps you could try a reset of all settings. To do this, head to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. This does not wipe any stored content such as music, movies, or apps. It only resets your settings.
It might not hurt to try and reset your network settings as well. Head to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings on your iPod Touch. Then try and test the notifications again.

I recently lost the incoming sound that notifies me of a FaceTime call. I have checked all settings and cannot find anything I have changed.

It sounds like you are not getting the sound notification for your FaceTime calls that are coming in. I would check this setting in the Notifications section specifically to verify there is a sound setup to notify you:
About Notifications on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Go to Settings > Notifications to verify that the app supports notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, make sure that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
Make sure you’re signed in to your Apple ID.
If you’ve recently installed an app or restored a backup, open the app to start getting notifications.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. No email sound notification

Hi all,
on my new iPhone 3G I have several email accounts set to check every 15 min. When the iPhone is in standby mode it does receive those new mails, which I can see on the Mail icon when I switch on, but I never hear a sound notification, although switched on.
Is this supposed to work like that?

I have been having the same problem and even got Apple to replace the phone.
Same problem on the second phone.
But, everyone I know who has an iPhone, including my husband, has the email sound working fine.
Has anyone found the answer?
Also, a question: What type of email account is giving you the problem and what is the domain?

Is powernap supposed to play sound notifications?

My macbook is always connected to the power adapter and I use it in closed lid clamshell mode with an external display and input devices. I believe my macbook does sleep in the night but often times I hear new mail notification sounds from my speakers in the night and in the morning! I believe it might be fetching emails using power nap but my question is, is it supposed to play sound notifications during power nap?
Please let me know so that I can ensure if my macbook is entering proper sleep or not. Any log I can see to find out if it has slept at given times?

How can I get my sound notifications to work? They used to but have stopped. I get the banner alerts. I have checked in Settings - Sound and the volume is at max. Help please.

this straightened out before leaving Canada. Warranty on your

I have an LG G2. I have all sound notifications turned up but I am still not getting any sound. Also bluetooth is turned off so it isn't interfering. HELP!

E-mail and Text Mesage Sounds (Notifications) are too low and since they all sound the same I never know if I have a new E-mail or a New Text Message. How can I set up different sounds for E-mails and Text Messages?

if you go to pimpmypre.com, you can change the ringtone for your text/email. unfortunately, you cannot change them individually for text and email, but it expands your options from the pre default ringtone.
it's a small step, but not the solution.

IPhone 5 when SMS arrives double sound notification one screen notification

Today I have faced a sms notification problem and couldn't solved yet.
When somebody sends sms to my phone first I hear sms sound notification but nothing appears on the screen, after 1 seconds I hear second sms sound notification and sms notificatin appears on the screen. The first sound notification is redundant. I have checked the notification settings, all of them are default settings..

That's odd. Try a reset and see of the results change. Press the Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears. Note: No data will be lost.

Cannot stop WhatsApp sound notifications on Blackberry Q10
