  • The front Camera in N73

I have sony K800 and Nokia N73 the front Camera in sony is much better than the front camera in the N73, the front camera in N73 it always gives distortion pic with small red dots, In sony K800i the back camera in snap shot is better than N73 but in N73 the video capture is better, the sound in N73 is better than K800.
Does anyone know how to get the front camera in the N73 much better? it is sucks in video call
All over N73 is better but it will be much better if the quality of the front camera can increased

IIm afraid we have to put up with that camera in the N73.
There is no better camera, unless you buy another handset of course.
Im sure one day the front cameras will be megapixels too..

  • N73 how to make the camera MUTE (no click sound)??...

I want to know how to make the camera without any sound during taking the picture in NOKIA N73 music edition.
please tell me as soon as possible
    Thank u

Typical for discussion forum, the experts to give usless advice( ie "try silent mode") folowed by " its a privacy issue".
I am unable to mute the camera on my E71.  I also assumed it was a legal issue.  Recently a friend of mine, showed me the Iphone 3Gs take a picture silently.  Silent photography with a cell phone is possible.
This looks like something for a symbian upgrade or even a third party camera app.
Send your camera upgrade request to Nokia, cross your fingers.

I don't think there is a 3rd app for that. the camera also uses the flash for auto focus so if it was disabled, the videos wouldn't be as good.

  • Nokia N73 Sound Quality and Stereo Speakers

    Hi all,
Nokia N73 has two speakers on the top side and a speaker at the bottom side. It seems that only one the speakers on the top is working. Is this normal?
Also the MP3 sound quality is not very good comparing to Nokia N80 or Sonyericsson K750i. Any opinions about this?

The two speakers must work, but to know if thay work, can´t be like that... seems not... If You have serious doubts, go to a Nokia Service.
About mp3 quality, I don´t note nothing different from N70, N80... Is good quality to my hears!

  • N73 I sound like I'm in a fish bowl

My phone was originaly on t mobile and have just unlocked so that I can use on o2 but apparently when I speak to anybody the phone sounds 'tinny' I don't know if there is anything in the menus I should change my phone to so people can hear me better. Can anyone help me please.

Can you explain what you mean by 'compatible'? what are you trying to do with the G5s and the PowerEdge servers? How are you trying to 'use' them together?

topic, sometimes i like to use my phone in class to take picture of the notes on the board, but it soon become embrassment for me because everytime i took a picture there is a loud click sound. anyway to turn it off?

On the N80 you can by putting it on silent turn off the camera sound wich i found very annoying! That is sooo nokia, there is no option for turning of the camera sound, only an option for choosing between 4 different sounds, however you can easy disable the sound by putting the phones profile to silent, haha rediculus!

  • N73 - problem - sound cuts out in calls - please a...

Hi, I have an N73 and it's been fine (apart from the top of the joystick falling off and the charger just deciding to stop working) but now I have a major problem.
When I make a call or someone calls me the phone just cuts out all the time as if there is a very bad reception. I've made sure the reception isn't the case and it seems the person on the other end of the line can hear me fine. I've also tried turning the volume down, up, turning the phone on, off. It doesn't do this in every call, but I have to avoid using it because it will do it on at least 90% of calls! The phone is generally in good condition and I do look after it (I'm stuck with it for 18 months) I use this phone for work and it's embarassing and impossible sometimes, T-Mobile won't do anything and I'm very close to throwing it at a wall when it does this!
Anyone else got this problem? Anyone know what I can do?!

    Hi
    cool down.
    I am here.
I guess the nu FW has this problem.
However if your phone doesnt have the latest FW, check it *#0000# upgrade it.
Or if it is havin, try reinstallin it.
Or, you can do a hard reset, *#7370#.
Next, if all of thses things fails, take trip to nokia care.

  • N73 ME SERIOUS ISSUE - PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hi,
I have an N73 Music Edition - purchased it in Jan, 2008.
It was working fine until recently I removed the memory card to clean it.
Ever since my gallery doesn't show any items from the memory card.
I've set my phone to save all new and downloaded multimedia onto the memory card.
How can I solve this problem?
Also, there's a default folder in the memory card called 'Music'.
Whenever I save mp3s in that folder, the Music Player doesn't even detect one song!
But when I save them in Memory Card\Sounds\Tones folder - all get detected.
What's the use of having this folder then?
Or how can I remedy this??
    Please help!!!
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
you this is reason enough to create a customer message to SAP prio high?
It seems that the workflowdefinition got corrupt.
You can try to use FM SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999
which will try to replicate the workflow definition from version number 9999, this is normally a copy of the active version and is used for transports and for corrupt workflowdefinitions.
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

  • N73 / PC Suite 6.82.22.0 / Restore problems

I safely backed up all my phone's data via data cable before upgrading the software on my phone (again, via data cable). All went well and the software upgrade was fine.
But on restoring it only puts the multimedia data back on there. So I only have pictures/sounds etc, but no contacts, notes, calendar... I'm absolutely desperate to get this data back.
When doing the restore I have three restore options. 2 old ones from my old (6600?) phone (about 2mb each) and a large one (26mb) for my N73 - as it has a much higher quality camera the files are bigger. However, when I actually go to the folder where those update files are kept (.nfb files?) there are only the two old backup files.
But the data must be somewhere on my system as it updates all the pictures and videos perfectly.
It's also worth noting that I've tried rebooting both my phone and my PC several times but without success. And every time i turn on my phone it asks for the time and date, as if it were the first time I've ever turned it on.
System info below. Any help anyone can give would be *really* gratefully received.

I've tried updating the contacts, notes and calendar from a previous backup in february and that seems to work. So I have most of my numbers now.
But I've lost all numbers, notes and important diary updates that I've input into my phone since february.
Also, since the phone software update it asks for time and date every time I turn it on, which is really annoying.
    Any ideas?

  • Loads of trouble with n73, please help me.

Ok, I bought the n73 about a month ago, and I've been happy with it. A bit on the slow side, but acceptable.
Now since about a week, the damn thing has been driving me crazy. First, it started losing network connection, no calls in or out. So I went through the menu, thinking I can find the problem. Then the phone starts crashing. First only once or twice, no nearly 70% of the time I cannot do ANYTHING with it. The nokia screen shows up and no buttons, not even the on/off button, work. Sometimes it starts working by itself in a few minutes, but usually it just stays that way. I have tried to update the software, but everytime I try to connect, either the connection breaks off or it crashes. I downloaded the pc software, but it wont connect that way either.
I'm really starting to think it hardware based, since I never dropped it or gotten it wet or anything. But I'm still hoping someone here knows how to deal with this. Please help me!

Have you used it before?  It sounds like it's open a default - and corrupt - catalog.
You can create a new one and start from scratch by holding down control as you start it.

  • Problem with model N73. Sometimes the other side h...

I have Nokia N73 and in start very big problem. Sometimes someone which I speak with complain that hear me very bad, with noise, sound like a robot (Level of signal on the both sides is exelent). It is a new phone, and I sent it to Nokia servis. They reinstalled software and sent me phone back, but after 2 or 3 days I used a bluetooth headset in the car and the problem reappeared. The same thing was when I disconected bluetooth headset. In a setup of phone there is one option "Network mode" with 3 suboptions: Dual mode, UMTS and GSM. Initialy it was setup on Dual mode. I changed to GSM. After reseting phone the problem was disappeared, but I am not sure that the problem is solved.
I'll be very greatfull if anybody know what is the problem, and posibly solution.

I have the exact same problem. Everything works great exept for the fact that everyone I speak to using Bluetooth headsets complain that I sound "tinny", "weak" or "robot-like".
I've tried with two different headsets (Jabra JX10 and Nokia BH-200) and the problem is the same. I have also tried to reset the headsets, delete pairing and pair them all over again - still the same problem.
Seems like the Bluetooth and 3G signals/frequencies may interfere with each other or something.
The wired headset that came with the phone works without problems. Problem is only there when using Bluetooth headsets.
    Any solution?
    Regards,
    Michael

  • N73 automatically ejects memory card

My N73 is the Hong Kong IE version and I bought it in January. The problem is that the memory card just randomly removes itself during normal usage, once i even noticed that everytime I press the '3' key it just removes itself. Is anyone else experiancing this? Also when you select 'remove memory card' in the options menu, is the card information i.e space left, card size etc suppose to dissapear? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't on mine.Since then I have had to replace the motherboard 3 times and also the memory card. What is the problem? Maybe the wires connecting the motherboard to the keyboard are damaged?

This sounds like a hardware fault - I know of no software which does this.
One thing you can try is to eliminate the software problem (if it is that) is to reset the phone using the instructions you can find in this post :
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=4007
However please be aware that doing so will wipe ALL the data from your phone such as information in your calendar, contacts and so on.
In order to save your data you can use the PC Suite application to save and restore the data from your phone - this software can be found here :
    http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
If this doesn't work then it's likely you have a hardware fault and you should approach your local Nokia Service Centre to get your phone fixed.
    Hope this helps.
Please let me know how you get on.
    Regards,
    Edward

  • N73 Real Player very quiet

Sorry if this has been brought up before.
I recently bought an N73. One of the reasons I got it was to watch bits of video on my long journey to and from work. When I play a 3gp file via Real Player, the sound is barely audible through the headphones. If there's any kind of outside sound, I can't hear a thing. Oddly, the sound seems OK through the phone's built-in speakers. Also any other sound is OK through the headphones.
The problem seems to lie either with the firmware (V 2.0628.0.0.1), or with Real Player (V s60.30.19.02 D 18 May 2006). I think I'm up to date.
Does anyone know of a fix for this, or have I just bought a turkey?
    Thanks for any help.

You should have a network locked version... Do backup of phone content, and after that, do a phone reset *#7780#, before a phone format, and see it it works better.
